Negative experience: Often call you last minute to reschedule your appointment towards their closing hours so if you try to call back it’s too late and then they’ll charge you $50 if you cancel. They’ll tell you to leave a message but how will you get confirmation your appointment was canceled. Makes me wonder if they do this on purpose. Patients shouldn’t be charged for a change you requested.

If you have an autistic child walk you through what can help before you bring them there and I just cannot say it enough how Patient they Werewith my grandson . She and her staff made sure he didn’t see anything (needles/drills) and he watched his favorite show . She works fast and efficiently. My son left the office on a very positive note both times. Fantastic experience: We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Children’s Dentistry of AV, and I honestly cannot say enough great things about this office. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was welcoming, kind, and incredibly professional. The dentist and hygienist were both excellent….patient, gentle, and truly attentive to my son’s needs. The level of pediatric care was outstanding; everything felt thoughtfully catered specifically for children, which immediately put both my son and me at ease. I was especially nervous about my son receiving laughing gas, but the team handled it impeccably. They took the time to explain everything, reassured us throughout the process, and even let my son choose the scent he wanted….which made the experience fun and empowering for him rather than scary. That small detail meant so much and really speaks to how intentional and child-centered their care is. The only downside? I wish I had known about this office years ago. If I had, I would have brought all of my children here when they were younger without hesitation. If you’re looking for a pediatric dental office that is compassionate, thorough, and genuinely exceptional with kids, this is the place. We are beyond grateful for the care we received and highly recommend Children’s Dentistry of AV to any parent looking for top-tier pediatric dental care.

Fantastic experience: It was my daughter’s first dental visit ever. Although she was very apprehensive and scared the warm welcoming environment of the office calmed her. The front staff was very knowledgeable & helpful! When we were taken back in to the visit her assistant was really gentle , caring, and understanding. Dr. Lee also was very amazing & now my daughter’s excited to go to the dentist. She couldn’t stop saying how much she loved the doctor. I highly recommend this place, especially if it’s your first time.

Negative experience: The dentist and staff are wonderful with my daughter—professional, friendly, and attentive. I have no complaints about the quality of care she receives. However, I do have ongoing issues with the clinic’s scheduling policies. Today, I was running 10 minutes late due to work. I commute from L.A. and already have to leave early from my job to make it to these appointments. I was told they only allow a 5-minute grace period because the doctor has a long commute—which I understand, but frankly, that’s part of her job. I also have a long commute. I also lose time and money when appointments are inflexible. It feels one-sided to ask for consideration of their time while showing none for the time and cost their patients invest. Especially given that this clinic is on the pricier side, I expected a little more flexibility and understanding. To make things worse, the next available appointment they could offer was three months out. So basically, if you’re a few minutes late due to life happening, your child has to wait months for a reschedule. It’s disappointing, because the care itself is great. But the lack of scheduling empathy makes it hard to justify long-term.

Fantastic experience: Honestly! It’s always a pleasant experience when I’m there! from the front desk receptionist to the back office staff! Children’s Dentistry of AV make my children feel comfortable and my visits are always right on time I'm Never waiting! I love how not just the Doctors but the girls educate the kids on how to properly brush their teeth and it’s thoroughly explained in a way my children can remember and understand, I never experience that at any other dentist I have taken my kiddos to! This is an honest 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: Our experience at Children’s Dentistry Of AV has been amazing. Before coming to this office we went to another local business and never felt like we were being heard there. The treatment plant at the previous office didn’t make sense for our son and they kept pushing IV sedation, even after we voiced that we didn’t want to go that route. When we went to Children’s Dentistry Of AV we were met with a caring staff that took our feelings into consideration. Our son’s dentist is so sweet and supportive. She is very knowledgeable and came up with the perfect treatment plan that meets the needs of our son while taking care of his teeth. He had a terrible experience at the previous office but now he loves the dentist again. All because of the amazing staff at Children’s Dentistry Of AV.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing 100% recommend! Everyone at this office is so kind and welcoming, and they always make my three kids feel comfortable at every visit. If my toddler starts to get upset, the staff sings to her while they do the cleaning, which completely melts my heart. The waiting area is adorable, with fun things for the kids to play with while we wait.

Fantastic experience: Very kind and patient with our kids. They sing nursery rhyme songs to them and it makes my little one more comfortable. They explained everything to me before every step.

My children always look forward to their appts because the wait area is fun and they always give a little goodie bag with a toy at the end of the appt. The doctor and assistants are wonderful with children.

Positive experience: I wasn’t too happy this time around. My daughters fillings went well. I love the doctor who works on her teeth. But for my youngest I wasn’t to happy.

Negative experience: I really love this dentistry office, the dentist and dental assistants are awesome. I drive a total of 600 miles just to bring my grandchildren there. Unfortunately, I forgot the appointment time and called a few minutes before and let the receptionist know that I could get there in 15-20 minutes. She immediately said sorry but no. I explained that we drive a very long way to support their office, she did not care. I asked if she gets any cancelations please give me a call. I called back 30 minutes later and she said she was unable to confirm any cancelation for the day and she tried to call but the number is not correct. This was not truth she read the number back to me and it was my daughter's number. This indicates to me she made no real effort to support a client (family) for over 5 years. I called back to requested to speak with the manager, of course she wasn't there I am told. I asked if the dentist could call me back and she was resistant even to that. In my frustration I requested to make an appointment several months out again a very dead energy. So I called back and kindly canceled the appointment and informed her how I was feeling about careless communication and expressed I will have the parents find services elsewhere and she very callously said, ok I canceled your appointment and ended the call. WOW! I have never had such horrible customer service from that office before and I hope no one else does, it's uncalled for. Human respect is important.

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my 2 year old here for the last 2 dental visits and they have both been great experiences. I like that the waiting room is empty and not overcrowded. I love how calm the dental assistants and dentist are with my son despite him being very anxious and crying. They also showed my good tips how to clean his teeth well at home.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a better experience at any other dentist. My son chipped his tooth and they did such an amazing job as a team ,making sure my boy was properly fixed up . He has not had pain what so ever from the huge chip on his tooth , even tho they fixed it so quick ! I am truly forever grateful for them .

My 3 year old daughter loves going here and getting her teeth clean and checked. She always asks to go back to get her teeth clean.

Fantastic experience: Dr Salina and her team are amazing! After a terrible experience with a previous dentist, Dr Salina made my son feel safe and even excited to get his teeth fixed. Even through a mini root canal, as they called it, Dr Salina and her assistant were sure to work quickly and efficiently all while ensuring his comfort. He is no longer afraid of the dentist. Thank you so, so much!

Negative experience: I believe in giving people a second chance. But this is the 3rd time I’ve taken time off from work and my appointment changed without notice. Staff is typical of the area. Wish we didn’t have to drive out of the av for decent care.

Fantastic experience: This is our 3rd visit and everytime we go it gets better and better! The customer service is A+, the location and environment provided for kids is perfect! The staff really caters to your child's needs and helps them become comfortable and confident and especially for my son has boosted his self esteem to overcome the fear of visiting the dentist. The dentists are friendly and gentle and really care your child's teeth and gums. I would reccomend Children's Dentistry of AV! Thank you for the amazing care for my son.

They were very great with both my girls, who are only 2 and 3 years old. The whole staff was very nice and accommodating to get my girls teeth's looked at and get them the care they need. Fantastic experience: Having a child with special needs I was so appreciative to have the dental assistant & Dentist meet my son where he’s at with his needs/request. They made his visit enjoyable. Not a single tear in sight… well maybe a happy tear from mom.

Fantastic experience: Av Children’s Dentistry is always on their A game. My kids are never scared to come to the dentist because everyone in the office is so friendly and welcoming. We appreciate the wonderful service we get every time we come in.

Negative experience: My experience didn’t go as expected. My son, who already has anxiety about visiting the dentist, is neurodivergent and doesn’t fully understand the process, so I was there to explain and guide him. The first dental assistant was kind and patient, even though she had difficulty getting some of the X-rays. However, when another assistant took over, it didn’t go well. As I was demonstrating what to do, she essentially told me to stop talking to him so he wouldn’t get “confused” by two people speaking. I wasn’t talking over her, just helping him understand. I was really bothered by how she spoke to me.

Negative experience: Their treatment plans have always been too aggressive for us. First they wanted to cap 8 teeth with silver. We went elsewhere and have been receiving much more conservative care. This week we had some emergency pain and went back hoping they'd help. They xray'd and sent us home with a 10 visit treatment plan that included pulling 3 teeth. The patient is only 8. We'll never go back.

Fantastic experience: I took my kids here for all of their first dentist visits and it was phenomenal. I've put off a dentist visit for my two oldest kids because I was so nervous of a bad dentist experience for them. Since moving here multiple of my friends recommended Childrens Dentistry or AV so I took the plunge. Every single staff member from the front desk to the hygienists were incredibly kind and welcoming. My kids loved the fun waiting room and that helped calm their nerves right from the beginning. One of my kids was extremely nervous but as soon as the hygienists put her in the chair and started talking to her, she started smiling and giving me thumbs up! She was thrilled that she got to choose her own flavor of toothpaste. After, my kids couldn't stop talking about their experiences and how much they love the dentist. My one daughter had a cavity and after her followup appointments to treat it (which were also great) she said that she's going to get more cavities so she can come back . I've assured her we will still be brushing and flossing but it goes to show what a wonderful place this is. Ps my youngest is two and for a minute we thought he was going to have a hard time. The hygienists took her time to explain some methods we could use to help him and I just loved how she didn't rush or try to push him to do something new he was uncomfortable with. Because she took time, he ended up doing great and sitting through his whole cleaning on my lap. Pss I also had to call to resolve a bill issue and the receptionist was awesome. She thoroughly investigated the issue, called insurance for me, got back to me quickly and just showed another aspect to this office being phenomenal on all sides!

Negative experience: I think the dentist is great, and I like the play area... but the billing oh man. Look at this bill. Can you make sense of it? My kids haven't been to this dentist in 1 year, except for a routine cleaning covered by insurance. The bill reads: "Current Balance $0.00" ok, then it says, "New Balance: $270" huh?? then below that summary it has a list of itemized charges, except nothing is listed, except a requirement to pay the "Balance" of $20. So what is it, $0 balance, $270 balance or $20 balance? And for what? Insurance covers routine cleanings. What exactly are we being billed for?

Fantastic experience: It was my first time taking my daughter to a pediatric dentist and I am so glad I did. They were way more thorough and the environment was welcoming. My daughter began to play as soon as we walked into the waiting room and was even comfortable enough for them to do x rays once she was in the back. Safe to say, we will continue to go.

Fantastic experience: My daughter (4 years old) had several problems with her teeth after her first two cracked and the doctor made the treatment as comfortable for not only my daughter, but for myself. She only continued treatment when everyone was in the correct mindset and stopped every single time my daughter felt the slightest discomfort. The staff is extremely nice and they seem to really work as a team. Couldn’t say enough good things about this place. I will continue to take my children here for as long as I can.

Fantastic experience: I Highly recommend this place if you have children afraid of the dentist. They are very quick and thorough. My daughter recently had 1 cavity and had 2 teeth pulled and we were in and out in 40 minutes. She was comfortable the entire time and didn't feel a thing. The only con is how far the appointments are booking out. They are busy which is a good thing.

Negative experience: Have been coming here with my children for years without any issues. Today was a terrible experience. The automated confirmation text system confirmed our appointment and the very rude receptionist attempted to explain why our appointment was canceled without notice. We were forced to wait an additional 45 minutes as we were bumped for no logical reason. The dentist is great but the front office could use a refresher course on hospitality with patrons.

Fantastic experience: Great experience Dr and assistant were amazing, rooms were clean! Front staff made sure we were aware of payment due prior to next visit to avoid any surprises! And great scheduling we didn’t wait very long in the waiting room almost immediately pulled into a room to start our care! Love them!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my kids here for about 4 years now and I wouldn’t take them anywhere else. The staff is always friendly, and everyone does their absolute best to ensure no matter what procedure is done, the children are comfortable. My kids love going to the dentist and it’s because of the positive experience they receive here every time they go.

Negative experience: I was looking for the best dentist for my daughter and thought this would be It. Unfortunately not. My daughter threw up during a cleaning appointment due to lack of caution, making her gag multiple times. This of course gave her trauma and now we’re left dealing with her not wanting to get the rest of her work done & not wanting to come back to this dentist. I was able to get her to go somewhere else. Also the assistants nor the dentist talked my daughter through it they didn’t explain anything to her instead they seemed frustrated when she was scared. I would be too if I didn’t know what was going on. Front staff was nice.
