Fantastic experience: This practice is such a pleasure! My husband and I are so thankful to have Dr Banks and his staff. Their integrity is apparent in everything they do. Over this past weekend I had an incident with a tooth and called to leave a message for Monday morning. But to my surprise I received communication from the office that same day - then received a call back about 7:30 am on Monday! This is so rare! We are loyal and grateful patients!

Negative experience: If you’re looking for hypocrites, here’s the place to go. They try to fool you by playing their Jesus music……….. But they are undoubtedly liars and overcharge you for everything. I somehow managed to pay more for a half a crown and three teeth on my bottom partial then I did for my entire set of full upper dentures. The lady working the counter didn’t even know what credentials were. I had an appointment when it snowed one time and they accuse me of bringing in somebody else’s teeth when the ones I had clearly had my name on it and came from them because I’m definitely not rich enough to go get a set of dentures from somewhere else and just have them work on them. She called me a liar five times to my face and then got mad when I got mad. Never again would I go back to this dentist or anyone in his office

I'm sure that the other people there that do cleaning are very good, but I've been overly impressed with Neely and how she cleans my teeth. She is gentle but thorough. And she is a very nice person. But then all the people at Steven Banks in Amarillo are very nice.

Fantastic experience: Irma and Dr. Banks took great care of my baby. Irma was especially kind and caring towards my whole family, but especially my daughter who needed a tounge tie release. After they examine your teeth if their is something that needs to be done they talk to you about it before just jumping in to it. Dr. Banks continues his and his staffs education and continually updates his equipment with better and more effective technologies. I still don’t like the dentist, but Dr Banks and his staff make the experience less nerve racking, almost pleasant. I can without a doubt recommend Dr. Banks and his staff!

Negative experience: I had an implant placed by Dr. Banks back in 2011 and have been incredibly dissatisfied with the work he did since then. Cosmetically, the implant was not a good fit for my mouth and this was a very big insecurity of mine since it was one of my front teeth. When I saw other dentists and oral surgeons for consultations on getting a better fitted crown for the implant, they were all surprised by the dated hardware Dr. Banks used for the implant. Furthermore, the placement of the implant was at so much of an angle that even with a new crown, the implant would protrude further out than all of my other teeth. His work and poor selection of outdated materials has required me to get numerous additional procedures (such as bone and gum grafts as well as an implant removal) and has cost me thousands of dollars. I would not recommend Dr. Banks for any cosmetic or permanent procedure.

Fantastic experience: This was an amazing experience. Dr Banks and Irma his technician are so gentle and helpful. Irma made sure I was comfortable for the length of the procedure. I now have beautiful front teeth.
