A Dentist Just For Kids - Wellington & Boca - Dr. Francisco Jimenez, DDS

Negative experience: STOP TAKING YOUR CHILDREN HERE! My husband has life long trauma from this dentist. They strapped him down and did not give him numbing treatment before drilling his teeth. The dentist is doing this on purpose! He needs to be shut down.

Negative experience: Today was my toddlers very first dentist appointment with Dr. Jimenez. I was disgusted and upset with the treatment we received from the staff. They’re very disrespectful and unprofessional. Upon arrival the woman at the front desk could barely speak English, had an attitude. Once we were called to the back there was a group of 3 dental assistants. I was told that Dr. Jimenez was not coming in today and they’ll proceed with X-rays, cleaning etc. The lady began by pressing the X-ray sensor forcefully into my toddlers mouth and holding her jaw open with one finger as my daughter screamed. I grabbed her hand and told her she was pressing too hard. I said hey don’t do that, while the other forcefully tried to hold my daughter down. I was outraged because that’s not how you handle a toddler. They began speaking over my head in Spanish, which I understood every single word as I am fluent in the language. They were the most unprofessional and rude dental staff I’ve ever seen. The way that these women were conducting themselves was disgusting. This staff is in need of training. I’m not sure why some hispanic people think others cannot comprehend their language and speak disrespectfully in your face without thinking we won’t be offended and or have a response is wild! Needless to say it pissed me off, put a very bad taste in my mouth, and it ruined my baby’s first dental experience. The staff is horrible and I would never return to this dental office. If I could rate this place zero stars I would!

Fantastic experience: First time bring my granddaughter for a checkup and they made her feel comfortable. They kept me updated on every procedure performed. The staff is friendly and professional. I recommend this company for little kids.

Fantastic experience: I took my 6-year-old to Dr. Jimenez, who was also my dentist as a child. He’s just as wonderful now as he was then! Dr. Jimenez and his team are kind, patient, and great with kids. He explains everything clearly and handles each visit with a calm confidence, and genuine care. Kids also get to pick a toy at the end of the visit. Highly recommend—you're in great hands!

She’s only six and was a bit scared at first, but thanks to the doctor and the wonderful nurses, she did so well. She stayed calm and didn’t move at all. I love this place—10 out of 10, highly recommend!

Negative experience: My mom would take me here when I was little and I would always leave crying from there.Everytime l would go he would try to take out a tooth or something else. He would take me In a room where my mom couldn't go In. He would strap me down and he would use a device that is metal to open ur mouth that would hurt. He would put laughing gas but it would smell like sweet the nose piece.Dr Jiménez would tell me to stop crying and if I don't he would give me a shot to go to sleep.I recomend every one to not to take there kid there since I had to go there as a patient. The staff where great people to me except Dr Jiménez. Dont take your kids here because your kids will feel every bit of pain he does on your children

Fantastic experience: Would have to say one of the best children's dentist ever! Have been coming to Dr Jimenez for 28 years with all of my kids. Amazing doctor who has the best bedside manner that keeps the kids and parents calm during procedures. My kids absolutely love him and the office staff. Have never spent long wait times ever but would wait to see them if we had too. Highly recommended children's dental office!! They are top notch.

Negative experience: This review is going to be a little different than the other 1 stars and I hope all you parents read this. This is a former patient of over 12 years ago. I remember wishing to turn 18 to age out of the office because I hated it so much. I’m writing this review because I am now a mom looking for a pediatric dentist for my 2 kids. My trauma because of this office is almost still ad bad as it was being a patient here. I’m over here looking for the sweetest staff and best experience for my kids bc of my trauma and reading all these other office reviews I’m thinking this office is the worst one yet. I have yet to see any reviews elsewhere that are horrible and causing pain onto kids. Reading all these reviews breaks my heart immensely. The dentist nor the staff have changed their ways. I was strapped in that board even till the age of 11. UNACCEPTABLE. Every single time I got dental work I was thrown the laughing gas that did nothing. I felt every painful drill. I think my mom thought we were just being dramatic coming out crying every time. My siblings and I still sit around talking about it in adulthood and my mom is baffled now that she sees how traumatized we still are and have no reason to lie or exaggerate all these years later. Please do your kids a favor and STAY AWAY. I am now speaking on behalf of any child that has gotten work there and to save any child from ever getting work there. In response to the woman who saw a dirty cap placed on her child’s tooth, this happened to me and a short few years later I needed a root canal at the age of 13 bc of the infection. So sad to lose a tooth so early in life. I think they drill healthy teeth in my opinion too bc I never had a single tooth that hurt yet always had cavities but who knows.

Negative experience: All I will say is NO ! My daughter will NEVER be going back to this place ever again and that’s a FACT ! It is crazy how the Dr acts with CHILDREN I don’t care what anyone has to say ! But putting your hand on a child neck because they’re crying is a HELL NO for me and this right here situation will be took to court ! I’m big on respect One day at my daughters appointment this man tells me she has to get an extraction walked me to the front for an appointment schedule while she still was in the back never said her tooth was getting pulled right then and there so next thing you know I hear a scream so during that time he must’ve did that to get her quite !! Probably didn’t even numb my damn baby !! This make me sick LITERALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AS HELL BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE EVERYTHING SO TO COURT IT SURELY IS ! I’m glad my daughter had finally spoken up ! Parents PLEASE GO OFF OF VIBES AND PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN the way I want to handle things I can’t but there will be consequences for this “ Doc “ he’s definitely rude as well. Now the employees are no problem but they know !! SPEAK UP

Negative experience: The ABSOLUTE WORST dentist your child could ever go to. I can not believe Dr. Jimenez children's dentist is still in business. My son is traumatized from this man & his office. They do not do work properly & they will pull teeth without your consent. Such an disorganized office.

Fantastic experience: As a parent it’s always a priority to find a place where you feel comfortable and that your kids feel safe and welcomed. When I brought my kids here I realized I finally found that place! I highly recommend this office. All the staff and dentist are amazing! And my kids love coming here. 5 stars!

Negative experience: I went here with my daughters. All the staff was extremely nice except the dentist. He was angry we didn’t want x rays until after the exam and we didn’t want to do fluoride. He came out called my kids turned around slammed the door and went into the back. Didn’t walk us back or anything the hygienist did the cleaning she was very nice said my kids teeth were great no plaque no cavities maybe work a lil more on flossing but for the age she was impressed. Dentist walks over sits down doesn’t even look in my daughters mouth 2 seconds and says she has 4 cavities and gets up. Hygienist said really? I didn’t see any areas of concern. He said yep this is why we use fluoride and do x rays. This man was determined to make his point. My daughter had no cavities. Then he told the hygienist not to let me leave until I have the x rays sent from the old dentist. I am not a hostage. Beautiful office really nice staff but unfortunately the main guy was awful.

Fantastic experience: The staff and doctor are very helpful and patient with the kids. They also explain what you can do at home to keep the dental hygiene of your kid.

Negative experience: I cannot believe that this man is still in business. Over 20 years ago I filed a complaint with a dental board for the abuse my daughter endured while getting her tooth extracted by him. It took years for her to overcome this trauma. Please look at the reviews. There cannot be that many negative reviews and them not be real and you can check and find my complaint with the dental board. I believe it should still be there.

Negative experience: This was the worst experience my daughter ever had at a dentist. Not only do they strap your child down but the dentist literally pushes down on her windpipe with his finger because she was crying. This happened some years ago and it still bothers me. She told me back then and we never went back. She talks about it even now and this is why I'm writing this review. Definitely will not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for 13 years for my children. I now have a 2 year old and Janet made him feel so comfortable with his dental procedure. Dr. Jimenez is great, I recommend this dentist office.

Negative experience: We used this office for years, and now we are spending a ton of money fixing all of the abscesses my child has developed under every single crown that Dr j placed on my son’s teeth. 1 tooth Dr j took out when he got an abscess now 3 more need to be pulled. Dr j places your child in a “cacoon” which is more like a straight jacket. My son has dental ptsd. He cannot even sit for a cleaning without panicking. Apparently none of the crowns have adhesive so all the bacteria is getting into the tooth and it’s getting infected. Wished I would have heard all of the horror stories others are telling me since I’m voicing all of my child’s issues.

Fantastic experience: Excellent a fantastic pediatric dentist they were very calm and very nice with my boys. Dr Jimenez is very professional and compassionate with the kids a wonderful atmosphere I'm very glad I found them for my boys who are six and eight.

Even when I take too long to get the kids back in he is still the same nice doctor he is. I would always recommend his office to any friends or family. You all keep up the wonderful work. Overall amazing, I’m sad I’m leaving the practice since I’ll be relocating, but if it wasn’t for that my kids would have been coming here till they turned 18.

Luckily I found Dr. Capra from the Kids Dental Practice at Delray Beach. She is amazing and works great with kids

Negative experience: Today I called the dc Jiménez office for an appointment with a referral from a general dentist for a follow-up pulpectomy because the previous dentist does not work with pediatrics for those treatments, they refused to see her for the reason that another doctor already performed the procedure. initial cleaning, but it was not enough to reject her as a patient, adding that no pediatrician would care for her and treating me as if I were a waste with low professionalism, I hung up on them and called another pediatrician in Palm Springs and, very disconcerted, he told me that is an infamy and the office is unprofessional for telling a lie like that they were so sorry for my bad experience they even apologized for the bad treatment I received from Jiménez's office!

Fantastic experience: We have been coming to Dr. Jimenez for 7 years now and the office is great. They always take care of our needs and make our girls feel really comfortable with their cleanings and check ups.

Negative experience: The worse experience for my son and I. We went for a cleaning that ended up in the dr wanting to extract 4 teeth, not only they use the papoose board for any dental treatments he is just a butcher, pressuring me to get it done right there in there, talking about not saving any of the tooth and getting them all out on my 5 year old child!!!! The papoose board is a very old procedure and there are definitely more options, he doesn’t believe in working with your child, he wants to strap them down to the procedure and I did ask if he behaves do we need the board and he said he will use it not matter what, THIS IS NOT A COMMON PROCEDURE, still not sure why parents would be ok with this, def a no for my son and I. He will scare you and try to say that general anesthesia is not covered by the insurance, well it is in some places and not in others but if not the cost is about $1000 which is totally worth it to avoid a negative experience for your child. HE IS A BUTCHER! And does not care about your child and their comfort. Luckily, I found another dentist that used local anesthesia and only 2 teeth were pulled, they worked with my child to keep him calm without a papoose board. I wish I read all these reviews before taking my son there, all of the complaints align to our own experience except for the fact that I didn’t allow him to do anything on my child. Your child is just a dollar in this dentist office, in and out and quick money. Do not recommend and we will not be back!

Negative experience: I wish I could give this -28782772 stars!! I had been meaning to write a review for while. I took my son here a few years ago and while the girls at the desk were VERY sweet, the Doctor is a monster! He said he would use 'laughing gas' on my son to pull his two front baby teeth that were just hanging there. But he used NOTHING and just ripped them out and left my baby screaming in the room, door shut and they would not let me go to him. It was horrible! He was in so much pain and 5 years later he is STILL traumatized by the experience. Every time I take him to the dentist he says "it isn't that mean man that hurt me, is it"? NEVER EVER GO TO THIS MAN. I do NOT know how he is still in business!! I have yet to hear one positive thing about him. STAY AWAY

Negative experience: The staff was friendly but the place was gross. Smelled musty, and looked dingy and outdated. Not impressed with the doctor. I had a concern about my child’s teeth not coming in and got more details from the hygienist than from the doctor who just glanced over my child’s xray from across the room and said you “See them there. They will come out eventually”The hygienist took the time to explain the distance between them and advise me to see a specialist because he might need spacers. They should pay her instead of the doctor. Needles to say, we aren’t going back.

Negative experience: FALSE ADVERTISING the office is DIRTY and STINKS not only that all the paint was falling off the walls, equipment was old and rusted. Omg the smell was just horrific. I will not recommend bringing your child
