Fantastic experience: We've been coming here for a few years now. My kids have high anxiety but everyone here is so great with them! Most of the time we're only in for routine visits and they get us in and out quickly, but catch things, like cavities, early. Even the more unpleasant visits are handled with a lot of care and attention, so my kids have the best experience possible. After our original pediatric dentist retired, it was kinda hard to find a new place that worked for us. I'm very glad we found Dr. Vasquez and Dr. Mariano because they take really great care of us! The facility is clean and entertaining for the kids, too. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I love everything about this place! It is clean, organize, sharp with times; but the best is the staff. Not only they are super professional and knowledgeable, they are very patience and kind. I went with my three kids today and two of them were having “a day”. The staff helped me get through the appointment to complete the service and treated my kids in a way they felt safe and understood. I wish all providers were like them where I did not felt judge and received the support that me and my family needed. Thank you Dr Vazquez and all the staff (from the front desk to the technicians) for what you do and specially for how you do it.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Vazquez is absolutely amazing. She’s gentle and very caring with my two daughters. I will definitely continue to come back and of course backed up by an amazing dentist is her amazing staff.

Negative experience: We scheduled a new patient visit with Dr. Vazquez because my daughter’s regular dentist wasn’t available and she was having significant tooth pain from a cavity. We completed all the new patient forms online in advance, noting that she had an active toothache. At the office, I explained to the staff that we needed timely care for a dental issue that had been going on for about a week. After we waited more than 25 minutes in the exam chair, Dr. Vazquez finally arrived and confirmed what I had already said — that my daughter had a large cavity causing the pain. But then she told us she wouldn’t be able to treat it for at least three weeks because of her upcoming vacation. Instead, she told us to manage the pain with Motrin while we wait. We were charged $119 for this evaluation. When I clarified that we came for treatment, not a routine check-up, she suggested taking an X-ray just to forward to another provider — which felt more like a way to increase the bill than to offer real help. While the staff was polite, the experience was disappointing. What bothered me most was that the doctor didn’t seem concerned that my daughter would remain in pain for weeks. When I pointed out that the appointment should never have been scheduled under these circumstances — especially knowing she wouldn't be available to help — she just said, “I’m sorry.” If your child needs timely dental care, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Our recent visit to A Small World Pediatric Dentistry went really well. My son (who immediately found his way to the arcade games in the back,) and I were greeted with a pleasant 'welcome in.' The young woman behind the desk knew who the appointment was for based upon our arrival time, and our wait was less than 5 minutes. It was my son's first experience at the dentist, and the dental hygienist was absolutely amazing. She explained everything to my son, gave instruction and comparisons on how to do things, and provided helpful distractions, when needed. She was very aware of procedures that may seem scary and explained how everything worked prior to moving forward. The Dentist performed the same way and was informative with me (items that I needed to be aware if in the moment and how to proceed in the future with my son's dental hygiene,) while being considerate and patient with my son. The whole experience was greatly appreciated, and my son keeps asking when can he go back ;-)

Fantastic experience: We love Dr. Vazquez and our kids (2 and 4) have been her patients since they were 1. She is always very thorough with their exams and explains things to us very clearly. Her and her office staff all are very pleasant and very comfortable with patients this young. In addition, they are all bilingual (Spanish) which for us is also a big plus. Overall, great experience every time we visit this office and our kids like it too.

I attest their calm, child friendly nature to my kids positive experience of visiting the dentist. I can’t say enough good things about A Small World Pediatric Dentistry. I took my son here for his first dentist appointment, and I was really impressed with every staff member we encountered. The environment was friendly and calm, and the examination was a breeze. I was given a lot of useful information and advice, and my son even got a small toy and a t-shirt at the end of the visit which was sweet. The dentist and assistant were both extremely professional, friendly and great with my son. The card we received in the mail after our visit was also really thoughtful. I would wholeheartedly recommend A Small World to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist!

He is now 21 and goes to an adult dentist, but my younger son (17) still sees Dr. Vasquez. We always have a great experience and everyone is very warm and welcoming. Fantastic experience: We have had a great experience with Small World Pediatric Dentistry. Both our kids have done regular check ups there over the past almost 7 years and recently my daughter had an issue with an impacted baby tooth that Dr. Vasquez helped us work through over the weekend and then took care of first thing Monday morning! My daughter is terrified of needles and they were so gentle with her that she didn’t even know there was a shot and she walked out ready to head to school for the day!

Fantastic experience: Made my 3 year old feel comfortable and took their time explaining what they were doing to make her understand and distract her

Negative experience: $50!!! Not very compassionate when it comes to helping a family. Yesterday we missed or twin sons appointment due to one of the kids having an upset tummy. We failed to notify the clinic on time and they issued us with a $50 fine ( per their policy). Per my policy we will get a dentistry that understands what’s it like to have a young family and not bill us $50 and cares for their patients, life can not always be planned out 24 hours in advance when it comes to having 3 kids under 5 years of age.

Fantastic experience: Just had our first appointment and first real cleaning for my 3 year old daughter and the staff was all so great with her and helped her feel super safe and comfortable! I also declined fluoride treatment for her and I really appreciated no one questioned me on it or made me feel bad about it! They even offered to take out the toothpaste in her goody bag because it has fluoride in it. Trying to make all the best decisions for your child is exhausting enough as is with all the different research out there, so it’s nice to not be made to feel bad when I make a decision for my child.

My son is a teen now, but I remember the care and patience showed to him when he was small and a little trepidatious about having his mouth looked into. Negative experience: I did not like that the new dentist talked about my kids’ need for orthodontics in front of them as if their teeth are awful. He made it sound very dramatic in front of the children—but we have consulted w an orthodontist who said they only need minor adjustments and we should wait for mature teeth to come in. He made my kids worry for no reason. Poor form. He could have talked with me separately if he was that concerned. They’re kids in a pediatric practice, for goodness sake. But the hygienists and front office staff were wonderful.

Fantastic experience: We LOVE A Small World Pediatric Dentistry! There is a really fun (and clean!) toy area for small children in the waiting room. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. They make the cleaning appointment fun and FAST, which I greatly appreciate because my kiddos are little, have short attention spans, and usually feel a little nervous. Dr. Vasquez is so nice to work with. She is so kind and patient with my kids, and I like how she communicates clearly and directly.

Fantastic experience: My 3year old had a silver cap put on to cover a cavity. They did amazing! Not only did my daughter do great and wasn’t scared i felt very comfortable with the whole process. I would highly recommend going there for your kids teeth.

A small world is so welcoming and everyone is so nice, Both the doctors and the Entire staff from walking in to checking out made my daughter feel comfortable. My daughter had two cavities that you can clearly see on the x-ray and needed to get them filled so I scheduled an appointment to get it done and she did amazing. One of the things I appreciate most about Dr. Vasquez is that she tells the kids what to expect prior to treatment, then updates them throughout the process, encouraging them along the way. Fantastic experience: The doctor and hygienists are always really nice and my 2 kids have fun going to get their dental check up and cleaning. All the attentions, stickers, toys with token, sugar free lollipop. When we went yesterday the receptionist was welcoming and greeted us with a nice smile and took charge of checking us in. No iPad tossed my way this time which I really appreciated! I’m glad they got rid of that procedure which made it very impersonal and was frustrating.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Small World Dentistry. The hygienist Anna made my daughter’s first dental appointment a very enjoyable experience. She was kind and encouraging. Dr. Vasquez was pleased with my daughter’s beautiful smile and gave us some tips to keep her teeth as healthy as possible. My daughter started out the morning scared to go, and by the end of the visit, she was asking when she would get to come back. Their cash pay discount is very affordable for those without dental insurance. It was a lot less than what I was going to pay with my dental discount plan, and the front desk administrator made sure I knew of the discount they offered. I highly recommend Small World Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: Best pediatric dentist around paradise valley area, Dr Vasquez n Dr Logan both are very thorough going, listens to you carefully n patiently. They have the best setup with the best equipments. Their team is super energetic and always greets you with a wide smile. Highly recommended!
