Fantastic experience: I recently had an appointment at Willow Glen Dental Specialists, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. I usually don't find dental visits pleasant, but this office operates at a different level of professionalism. From the moment I walked in, the front desk team (about 4 people) was welcoming and efficient. The facility is spotless, organized, and I appreciated the privacy between rooms—you don’t have to listen to what’s happening with the patient next door. What truly stood out was the staff's expertise and patience. I want to make a special emphasis on the Doctor's Assistant (I missed her name, but she was fantastic). She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and took her time without rushing any part of the process. When Dr. Nguyen came in, she immediately reviewed the high-quality X-rays and 3D images the assistant had taken and openly praised her for doing such a great job. That level of respect and professional validation between a doctor and her staff is rare and says a lot about the quality of the practice.

Our dentist blew balloons out of gloves, used magic tricks, and built rapport to make the experience wonderful for my daughter. She’s 14 months and absolutely loved being there! I really appreciated his honest recommendations and attention to detail—it made me feel confident and excited about moving forward with treatment. Positive experience: I switched to Willow Glen Dentist for a small filling after a bad experience with another dentist’s office. I called them to confirm that I could come in to see the dentist even though I had gone to the previous dentist’s office twice that year (2025) and they confirmed that yes my evaluation by the dentist would be covered by insurance and did not need to wait until the next year. Well in fact the appointment was not covered by insurance and I needed to pay. I am super frustrated because I would have just waited until the start of the new year to meet with the dentist but because of their misinformation I was forced to pay out of pocket for this appointment. I have no qualms with the dentist’s work - the filling was great, but I am super frustrated with the front office staff.

Fantastic experience: The office was spacious and sunny. The staff were very friendly and professional. Dr. French was one of the best dentists I've encountered. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable, skilled, and efficient. I'm not from here and needed some work done on a dental problem. I chose Willow Glen Dental on the Internet and I'm very thankful I did.

Negative experience: Avoid these folks at all costs. I have been a client for over 10 years now and over time they have become more and more commercial trying to upsell you services etc. Recently I fell out of insurance and I asked them for a regular cleaning and push out the X-rays by a few months once I get back on insurance. And they straight up declined. Just so it's clear no law requires annual x-rays. And it's not that they offered just to do the bite x-rays which are cheaper. They are ready to lose a decade old loyal customer. They just wanna make money now, not really help their patients. They might be doing a good job for you now but remember my experience. Take your dollars to a more ethical business.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to WGD since 2015. I first saw Dr.Harvey and then Dr. Brian. When I first became a patient I was suffering from over 5 years of terrible pain and multiple root canals and subsequently needed multiple crowns and other small procedures after a long-term undiagnosed issue that turned out to be a jaw infection that Dr.Harvey identified within my first year there. When I needed re-treatment of old root canals they referred me to a wonderful specialist. Every treatment was done efficiently and the results were expert. Their onsite crown fabrication services and high tech equipment are wonderful. The new location is beautiful and they have all the latest scanning, cleaning and fabrication equipment you might need for basic and cosmetic dentistry. This past year I started seeing Dr. Brian and had some of my ugly front teeth replaced with a combo of cosmetic crowns and veneers...I am so so happy. He worked with the lab so they made the caps and veneers match perfectly and also took my feedback to heart, without making me feel like a burden or like I was ignorant and my desires didn't matter. My teeth now look fantastically natural, feel great and have boosted my confidence immensely. Thank you Dr Brian! I am unfortunately relocating and one of the the things I am going to miss most about living here is the dental care I receive. Jasmine and the entire front desk staff are wonderful and worked with me to understand my timeline for treatment given my impending move and I am very thankful for all their communication and kindness. They use a combo of automated and text system which make communicating about appointments and being contacted about billing so simple! I cannot recommend them enough. We all know dental treatments are expensive so at least get some good results! Try them out - I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed. I will miss the continuity of care when I move out of the area but will be forever grateful for the highly quality treatments I received. THANK YOU Willow Glen Dental!

Fantastic experience: I highly reccomend Dr Douglas Kong to be your dentist. Since 1990 ( that is 35 years!) my family and I have been seeing Dr Douglas Kong for our dental care. I was referred to him by an MD “because he is gentle”. He is truly gentle in his demeanor and in performing dental procedures.He explains procedures in a friendly gentle manner prior to performing a procedure and during the procedure as neccessary. I totally trust his judgment and referrals to outside specialists if needed. His practice uses the internet to pre fill out forms before arriving and asks you to come15 min in advance of your appointment. Dr Kong is punctual as his patients who arrive early. I like that when starting in his practice or over time you are asked discreetly if you would like to continue to seeing the dental hygenist or need to try a different one. I like my hygenist, Karina because she is very thorough in cleaning my teeth and notes my preferences from before such as not lowering my head flat in the chair. In the individual exam room and in front of you there is a very large x ray of your teeth which is gone over by the hygenist and Dr. Kong. A screen up on the ceiling is streaming a distracting gentle noise so your aches or anxieties are not your total focus. I recieve any pertinent teaching from the hygenist, Karina at the end of my cleaning. The front office staff is professional and helpful. The practice does ask that you arrive 15 min before your appointment time and you have prefilled your electronic doccuments. Dr Kong likes to be punctual. If I were to run a little late I call to notify the office. I never have been kept waiting a long time for my appointment and am given an update ( emergency dental care..) if necessary. But I have learned best not to be late for an appointment. But that is just me : ) Go see Dr. Douglas Kong is my recommendation.

Fantastic experience: They are very professional and expert in what they do. I had 2 1/2 hour session with Dr. French today to remove a bridge in my mouth and she did an excellent job. I have always had terrific service of all kinds at Willow Glen Dental and highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient at Willow Glen Dental, I have been astounded by their performance excellence in all facets of their practice! I needed 2 crowns on separate occasions. Each time I was seen by Dr Brian Kong first thing in the morning. Both times I had the crowns completed in less than 2 hours! My teeth were cleaned by a hygienist utilizing a full hour with remarkable skill, attention to detail, and helpful suggestions on best teeth care practices. Making appointments, being welcomed, and squaring up at the end were model. Everyone I encountered "loves" working there, many for < 10 years! I have never encountered a medical facility that even comes close to matching the remarkable staff and resources at Willow Glen Dental!

He gave a thorough explanation whenever my brother had a question or concern. His bedside manner is consistently welcoming and pleasant. His office people and assistants are also wonderful and helpful! Daniel had several implants done and then he went to Dr.Brian Kong for bridges, installations and adjustments. He experienced no pain and is very happy with Dr. Kong's work. We highly recommend Dr. Brian Kong!

Negative experience: Before the visit, you have to fill in a questionnaire which could easily take > 30 mins. No matter how good they are, it is really stupid to design such long questionnaire. I will never come again

Fantastic experience: It’s the people who care and actually listen that make all the difference. I’ve been coming to WG Dental for 5 years. Never blown away, never upset, just fine. It was convenient... so I stuck around. Then I met Amanda, a dental hygienist who was new to me. As usual, I mentioned my coffee stains (my forever insecurity) like I do at every appointment. Normally, it’s just a passing comment. Amanda was so kind and friendly the entire time and at the end, she handed me a mirror and said she had tried her best to remove the stains. I was shocked. My teeth looked so white I thought maybe I have a shot at a toothpaste commercial :) No one had ever actually addressed my comment before and here she was, going the extra mile without me even asking. I smiled all week and it honestly boosted my confidence. A dental office with people like Amanda who take the time to listen and actually help, is exactly the kind of place people look forward to coming back to. Thank you Amanda!

From my initial call to the office, the person who answered the phone was warm, helpful, and unhurried. I scheduled my appointment early in the morning and when I arrived, everything was set up, everyone was ready to go. The facility is clean, organized, the equipment are new, and the atmosphere made me feel at ease. The staff were very aligned and had good communication with each other. Whoever I went to knew my information and were all on the same page. They were also very quick and responsive with looking into my insurance plan and letting me know if something is covered or not. Fantastic experience: I had to YELP this Dental office before I called them, and they have 4.5 Stars on Yelp. So, I went yesterday to get some cleaning done by their Hygienist - Karina and met Dr. Harvey. The office was busy. Karina was excellent. She was smooth and soft gentle touch to my teeth. Dr. Harvey was cool, funny and gave me a great examination of my teeth. A true professional. They are located off a busy street Meridian Ave. in San Jose, and I was very impressed by the reception area. I saw 5 people up there on their phones and computers and handling patients. The main factor in my decision to come here was they are open on Saturday's!! Wow!! That was a major plus to go to this place. Hardly any Dental offices are open on Friday's and Saturday's. But Willow Glen Dental is not like your ordinary office. They were excellent in their service and availability and professional. I was treated with excellent service and care for my teeth. Tanea African American receptionist was great. My mouth felt great coming out of there and I will see them again in February 2023. Had my teeth cleaned this week. Another great visit with Dr. Harvey and the other Dental Hygienist Lynn. Got some great advice from Lynn and told me to get a water pick on AMAZON I could use in the shower. A rechargeable one that I could use everyday and not make a mess on the vanity and mirrors inside the bathrooms. That was a great idea. I would not have thought of that unless I was told. So 5 star on the recommendation and Dr. Harvey was awesome. Looked at my teeth and mouth and tongue and gave me a good respectable report card. Did mention some areas of concern that could later on be corrected. Over all my visit was pretty good. Made me a happy patient. Went home and got on my laptop ordered my new rechargeable waterpik. Was also advised by Lynn how to use it in the shower and the angles to clean and sections to concentrate on. Those Dental Hygienist have the cleanest teeth in the world LOL! Hijole!! I did not get this Water Pik from their office. I bought it on Amazon. 4/12/2024 I went to see Dr. Harvey today and was in need of 3 fillings on my teeth. The visit was pleasant and quick and painless. Dr. Harvey was like a mechanic and worked my mouth with professional technique and care that shows why she is a DDS. Her DA Danora was also a true professional and made sure I was taken care of while I was sitting in that chair. My mouth was clean and watered and rinsed. When Dr. Harvey gave me the injections she was so soft and smooth I did not even feel the needle in my mouth. She was a happy Dentist and was humming the James Brown song on their speakers playing " I feel Good" while she drilled my teeth and filled it and flossed it and was done in 60 minutes. The front office had 4 staff members taking care of new appointments and helping us out that were done and assisted us pay our bills and look at the new upcoming appointments. I was made aware that I will need a crown on one of my tooths and look forward on returning to see Dr. Harvey. She is a TRUE ONE!! 7/30/2024 Went in for my teeth cleaning and met a new Dental Hygienist - Casandra. Overall cleaning was great and smooth. I felt comfortable and cared for by Casandra. Dr. Harvey was also there and the experience in their new office was WOW!! The place looks total Hi-Tech Night Club theme. The music and the lights and the free coffee Keurig machine was very classy and posh. Glad to see the business is good for them. The facility was huge and beautiful. Parking lot was perfect with a lot of spaces available.

Fantastic experience: I recently switched to this dental office and couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The office itself is modern, clean, and has a calm, inviting atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. I had my cleaning done by Kristie, and she was phenomenal—gentle, thorough, and genuinely kind. I’ve always dreaded dental cleanings in the past, but this was by far the most comfortable and pleasant experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Brian is equally outstanding. He’s knowledgeable, approachable, and refreshingly honest. He takes the time to explain things clearly and never pressures you into unnecessary procedures. It’s rare to find a dental team that combines expertise with such a high level of care and integrity. Highly recommend!

Their new offices are incredible, definitely state-of-the-art. They have also become more efficent (which is pretty considering how efficent they were before) because of the new setup and equipment.

Fantastic experience: I don’t like going to the dentist, they are sly predators that steal teeth and leave nothing under my pillow. They cause pain and hurt my feelings :). However! Today was my first visit to Willow Glen Dental and it was a very pleasant experience, they used a new fancy hand held Xray equipment made taking shots painless and quick! The new office is modern and very clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. After today’s visit I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment, hope this is not a setup lol, we shall see. I will keep you all posted

Fantastic experience: Four years ago I relocated from San Jose, Recently I’ve been experiencing issues with my teeth, I visited the dentist near my home, who informed me that I required a root canal and crown for two of my teeth. Additionally,she mentioned that I was eligible for veneers.however, I felt that the dentist was trying to exploit my situation for financial gain, which made me hesitant to proceed. That’s why I decided to seek a second opinion from Dr. Douglas Kung. I’m incredibly glad I did. Dr.Kung constantly prioritizes his patients well-being over his financial interests. He successfully saved my teeth.without the root canals& crown, Dr, Kung strongly Advised against the Veneers. I have complete trust in his expertise & opinions. He is widely Regarded as the best dentist in the Bay Area. His assistant, AI, is exceptionally friendly, kind, and approachable, making you feel like you’ve known her for long time. DR. Kung’s new office is very clean and inviting. His staff is also pleasant and professional. I highly recommend willow Glen Dental to anyone seeking the best dentist in the Bay Area.

Negative experience: They are butchers! I was treated ruffly because it was the end of the day by a doctor who seemed to be in a hurry. That was on a Thursday. Here it is Tuesday and my prescriptions are still not at the pharmacy. I will be bringing this to my attorney for legal actions. My mouth is now infected. Thanks for absolutely Nothing!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Douglas Kong has been my family dentist for over 40 years. I have never had a problem with his work, always enjoying the experience. The other professionals in his office including his son do excellent work. On the rare occasion where one of us have had to visit other dentists, it seems that those experiences were less satisfactory and had to go back to Dr Kong to correct the work of others. Fantastic experience: My last dentist retired so I had to find a new one. My wife recommended Brian Kong. I was impressed with the " modern" lobby AND the equipment. His staff is the best, starting with the hygienist, Karen who should be the measure of how hygienist should clean teeth, she's the best. And Carol the administrator who is so friendly and efficient, that she remembers the patients best time for the next visit, and has everything setup after one finishes their exam. He is an outstanding dentist and I feel fortunate to have met him and have him as my dentist. I just had my first dental appointment with Dr. Kong at his new facility. It is five-star, equipped with modern furnishings, an arsenal of the latest dental equipment and complemented by friendly and professional staff. There is also plenty of patient parking which is a nice plus. The appointment was for teeth cleaning and a tooth repair. My hygienist was Jennifer, who is outstanding. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, has exceptional interpersonal skills and was able to share with Dr. Kong her findings on the problem I was having with a tooth. Bottom line: With their modern facility and knowledge with dentistry, Willow Glen Dental delivers quality service.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to them for a year now, and this is one of the rarest of rare dental clinics, where they don't look for avenues to oversell a service by scaring you. I used to go to a dental place (Smilecraft Mountain View )which has a much more fancier ambience, and the staff are extra courteous but every time I visited them for a routine check up , they will try to convince me for some additional service to make money , and they will always take an x-ray just because they make more money out of x-rays than just regular checkups. Talking of Willow glen staff , they are very courteous, doctors seem very thorough in their examination, and clean-ups, and best of all they explain everything they do . Recently when I went for a check up, they started measuring my gums and started telling numbers like 2-3-2, 3-3-3, etc.. As soon as it was done, they actually explained what they mean without me even asking. If you are looking for a dental clinic, where they do their job ethically without overselling you like a car salesmen, definitely consider this place.

Negative experience: The new office is awesome and the staff is nice. I had been Dr Gong's patient for a few years and then Dr. Harvey's. I like Dr. Gong, he is always gentle & kind & never pushes anything or any treatments. Dr Harvey is different. Last month, I went in for a small cavity & got more pains & problems after her treatment. She even made a mistake, she said "sorry", but she didn't explain about it. She made a forceful push from right to left, while the filling should have been from left to right. My chewing is uneven & uncomfortable since then, the tooth she worked on seems to have a new problem/cavity on the right side. I called the office to ask about the problems many times but didn't have a chance to hear from her. I heard nothing from her.
