Fantastic experience: I been coming here for quite sometime now they are patient with you and very thorough.

Negative experience: I was referred to Knolewood Dental through the VA Community Care program after my crown and bridge fell out. I was originally scheduled for a crown and bridge replacement. When I arrived for the procedure, the treatment plan changed without me being informed, and I ended up having a tooth extracted instead. I accepted it at the time because it seemed better than leaving a broken tooth. During my first consult, I met the older Dr. Brown, who was very kind and had excellent bedside manner. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about him, and that is one of the reasons I didn’t raise concerns earlier. However, after that first visit, I never saw the same dentist or hygienist again, and there was no continuity of care. Fast forward to this week—I lost the tooth and called to ask about a replacement. That’s when the problems began. The receptionist was rude and dismissive. When I asked about the process for getting a replacement, she abruptly said I would need to call the VA unless I wanted to pay $680 out of pocket. I then requested a copy of my dental records. She told me, “We don’t release them because of a contract we have with the VA.” I said I believed this was covered under HIPAA. She replied, “I’m not going to argue—it’s our policy.” I asked for a copy of that policy or something in writing. She continued repeating herself in a rude and dismissive tone. I asked to speak with a patient advocate or someone else. She placed me on hold without explanation. After about 1 minute and 15 seconds, the call disconnected. When I called back, my number had been blocked. I still do not have my records, and I am currently without a tooth. At this point, I’m not sure if I should call from another number or take the hint and move on. Unfortunately, that means going back through the VA approval process, which can take months. After reading other reviews, I noticed many of the negative experiences involve front desk interactions. Unfortunately, my experience matched that pattern.

Fantastic experience: My first time there and I just got lip filler and I am amazed!! Dr. Brown did an amazing job with the filler and fixing what had been previously messed up. Will be back!

Fantastic experience: Nice people, professionals, if you have an appointment you will your seen on time. Very clean place.

He cares for his patients and has the best bedside manners. He has been my dentist for over 6 years now and i cannot imagine going to a different dentist office! Negative experience: The receptionist Vivian was extremely rude ! Rushed me off the phone . Last time I was there they receptionist’s sit at desk and talk about patients at my last visit . I asked to have Dr brown call me back . She stated , he was too busy to call me back . Love Dr brown but his receptionist are making me change dentist , unacceptable Vivian

Negative experience: No communication at all. I called for an appointment for my daughter and was given an appointment time. After checking in and waiting for an hour, I asked the receptionist how much longer we would be waiting. The receptionist spoke with someone and then let me know that they did not know how long the wait would be because my daughter was being worked in. Had this been communicated from the beginning, I would have declined the appointment and made it for another time. We wasted over an hour of our time to then leave without being seen. I understand wanting to increase your business by working people in, but communication goes a long way in a client/doctor relationship and this lack of communication is absolutely unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough about Knollwood Dental. My fear of going to the dentist is gone. Dr. Donald E Brown III is super. My hygienist Crystal really makes my 6 month visits fun. She's so thorough. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I don’t know what Veteran posted the nasty review I read from five months ago but she’s wrong. They treated me with respect kindness compassion and understanding and they know the VA sucks too so it’s not them they want to help you it’s the VA they don’t really want you helped they way you need to be. Nadine at the Dental @ Biloxi VA said that if implants is what the Doctor says I need it’s what I will get. We We’re gonna see how much I have to fight the VA to get the care I was promised by Nadine.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Brown and his staff are the absolute best. Chelsea and Alexis have excellent bed side manner. Their bubbly personalities make me feel so comfortable and at ease. Go to Knollwood Dental for all of your dental needs! Edit: Came in for a cleaning today. Thank you, Peyton for taking your time to get my teeth is better shape. I appreciate you and the other staff so much!

Fantastic experience: Went for the first time to Knollwood Dental to get a molar pulled. Dr. Nguyen was absolutely wonderful! I really appreciate how good her technique was to get the molar out without brute strength. I highly recommend her!!!

Fantastic experience: Love it here! All of the doctors are so kind and walk you through everything, so the anxiety is gone! All of the staff is so sweet and I’m never hesitant to ask questions.

Negative experience: This office is not Veterans Affairs (VA) friendly. It is IMPOSSIBLE for the office staff to do simple tasks, such as coordinating with the VA for simple referrals. The staff (Katie) is rude and lacks understanding and knowledge of the VA's practices regarding Community Care. Strongly recommend that Veterans with dental disabilities/injuries seek care elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: The Knollwood Dental Group is the best dental experience I have had in south Alabama. My dentist and her tech are technically outstanding and they are people persons and calming and comforting! I recommend them to all.

Positive experience: Been here about 6 months and pretty satisfy with the result, they do really good job. Been 5-6 times back still feel nice dental, nice service, friendly staffs But one time I had filling for my teeth the dentist name dr. Cindy that handle me with her assistant were keep talking and gossiping while doing my teeth in front of my face, and it hurts my lip on the left side because they’re not focusing and really not careful with the tools, also after the numb gone, I guess the doctor scratch my tongue while doing my teeth and I can’t talk for almost two days because its hurts! I called them and told them about that and want to change the doctor, thats good that they can change it for the next appointment.

Fantastic experience: If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Omg I went in early am soon as they opened, with the worst tooth/ear ache of my life, I was literally boo hooing crying. I had never felt this type pain I could barely speak, let alone write my information down. They were so helpful, and compassionate to my dire need at that moment. I ended up having a much needed extraction. They were just so great every step of the way. Very highly recommended, very real, up close and personal review!!!

Fantastic experience: I'm a local truck driver for Averitt Express on Rangeline Rd and it was always hard for me make time to see a dentist but Knollwood Dental is 5 blocks from the house, they are super friendly and funny which is a plus because I always get scared going to the dentist and also they was willing to work with my schedule considering I'm off on weekends only, but most importantly they made me feel comfortable, they listen to any questions or concerns I had, they treated me like family , the staff is great, but much more, their Awesome , if you looking for some Beautiful woman to make you feel right at home, then Knollwood Dental is the place for for you, so every time I ride past Knollwood Dental in my big red Averitt Express truck , I blow the horn, I'm not sure if they can hear my truck horn when I past by but this is my way saying Thank You everything and being such a amazing staff

Negative experience: So I guess they somehow deleted my review about their rudeness, but I do not mind reposting it. The receptionist and another employees are rude and liars! I missed two appointments (which I had proof that that was all I missed.) And the receptionist insisted that I missed 11 within a few months! That would make her the fool if she made that many appointments for someone, but I digress. I asked if I could bring in the email confirmations of my appointments to show what I missed. They did not want me to do that, did not let me speak with the office manager, and when they thought I was a family member calling that all goes to that location they started to discuss my business! I informed them that it was me calling and that they were violating HIPPA by disclosing my information to a family member, they tried to act like they didn't do that! I am horrified by my last experiences with this office. I had been going their since I was a child! They were not always like this. Dr. Brown definitely needs to make some changes in this office.

Fantastic experience: My family and I, have used this dental group for 20 years. I have several crowns, veneers and other dental work. You can’t find a dentist, with staff retention, above this group of professionals. My first visit, gave me the impression, I found a dentist who cared, and who would recommend the best treatment for any of my dental needs. I’d give a 6, but it only goes to 5.

Fantastic experience: My experience was phenomenal. I had kristal and she took care of me very well. I had gotten a crown done at another dentist office a year back and apparently it was not done correctly. I thank her so much for telling me that!!! It helped a lot and answered a lot of questions I had in regards to the crowning. Kristal was also very gentle and not heavy handed when cleaning my teeth , I hadn’t even notice when she started and finished.Thank you for making my experiment wonderful. If i was scared of coming to the dentist before ,I’m definitely not anymore

Fantastic experience: They always go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable before a procedure. I am never rushed and forced to make decisions that I am unsure about. They never make me feel bad about missing appts or not coming in as soon as I should. When I come in they are always helpful, knowledgeable and understanding to every situation I may come with. They break everything down from their professional lingo so that I may understand everything and also every decision that was made and why, even if they have tell me a few jokes. They do great at their jobs and they take the fear out of going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: First time at this dental office. It was easy to find, nice and clean office. Front staff was very sweet and helpful. The hygienist, Jazmine, called me back very quickly. She was phenomenal and efficient! She also has a soft touch. She was very thorough with my cleaning, she probed my teeth and was knowledgeable is telling me what would be the most helpful in my day to day routine. The Dentist was very easy on the eyes and actually had a conversation with me instead of just quickly looking in my mouth and moving on to the next patient. After talking with me he examined the wonderful job Jazmine had done cleaning my teeth. No cavities but recommended invisalign, just like Jazmine had done while cleaning my teeth. They made me feel like they really are a team there. Again the front desk was quite nice in collecting my payment and off I went about my day with a healthy mouth. Thanks!
