Fantastic experience: Our family have been using Dr. Mike Maitre for approximately 30 years and he is tops in our book. We went for our teeth cleanings yesterday and it was a great experience. Fantastic experience: My experience at this dental facility was comforting and rewarding, I was confident that I was getting the best care possible, and I recommend them to anyone that needs dental services.

Negative experience: I will never come back here to do my teeth again, why? When I started doing my implants I told them to pay me all at once because I didn’t want to owe them and they charged me $2909.50. I happily paid all of that but when my teeth were almost done they told me I still owed them $670…and if I didn’t pay they wouldn’t finish my teeth. I was really mad and okay I paid them $670…and let them finish my teeth and they will never charge me any more for my teeth or dental work in the future. I hope everyone who comes here will clearly state the payment to them so they don’t end up in the same situation as me.

What impresses me most is that I can depend on being greeted by familiar staff over so many years. Loyalty to the practice is a hallmark.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Crabtree treated me for an emergency complex dental abscess. It was as large as a silver dollar and swollen to the size of a golf ball, becoming a very dangerous situation. I was seen promptly, placed on the correct antibiotics, and had the tooth extracted as it needed to be. Then he gently drained the abscess. The abscess was excruciating, however I was out of pain within 24 hours after the procedure. This was a very dangerous situation. Dr. Crabtree went above the call of duty for my case, and I'm more than grateful to him and his assistant, Randy. Thank you, Dr. Crabtree. Thank you, Randy.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Crabtree and his team are friendly, professional, and compassionate. When I was shopping for a new dentist, I told a colleague I was looking for someone who caters to cowards and she said she had just the person I needed. Boy, was she right! There is a level of trust I've never had with my dentist AND I no longer need to use gas for routine procedures. Recently, we started doing more structural work. Dr. Crabtree had an opportunity where he could have recommended more work than was necessary, but instead made a simpler recommendation and explained why it would be better. (Less implants for a smaller mouth.) I feel like he cares about doing right by his patients and isn't just trying to buy his next boat or vacation. Bonus: He's also good at what he does.

Negative experience: I am very upset with this practice. I was in the midst of a one week trail period of major dental work. I had several crowns made and it was related to a car accident. My case is complex AND expensive. So, I entrusted and invested in this place. I grew close to my dental asst, Lindsay, and I trusted them. I understand Matrie (the son) wanted to exit the practice, but really they should have considered the feelings and also the finances and time and energy and overall the cases that are complex and costly. In other words, someone should have called me. Very disappointed that even though I was told on three different occasions that Lindsay would call me, not ONE call, or text, dropped like a hot potato. So my one week trial period has now been 5 weeks, and they not ONCE called me. So, shame on all of them honestly, I am so mad. I have every right to be. You guys have a lot of patients. Okay. But some of us who are dead center in the midst of trying out very expensive new crowns should not be discarded and dropped without concern. Its WRONG. And they said I must stay with Maitre, (the son) which they should never ever have moved out the high end cases that were in the middle of treatment. MYself and whoever else was as complex smack dab in the middle of treatment, sorry, but its not okay. Lyndsay didnt even finish "torking" my crowns, and Ive had some soreness and also there arre issues with them and guess who I have helping me--NO ONE. Not her, not anyone. So, think about how you anyone would feel being treated like this? Dental health and medical health are important and we chose carefully and we trust and I thought I had a valuable relationship built and even referred them. And yet I wait. Not one of them can dispute how wrong this is. So. at the moment, I do not recommend given how they've handled this and still not one phone call. Not ever. So, you decide.....

Fantastic experience: This has been my dentist for over 10 years. Dr. Maitre Sr was my dentist first. Dr. Maitre Jr was my girls dentist. They are now 41 and 44. I changed for a brief six months. They did not add up to the service Maitre and Maitre have. I came right back. They are always courtesy even when they might not feel like it. Roll Tide!!

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for Dr. Crabtree and Mrs. Randy for their thoughtfulness and attention to detail. I unfortunately had to have a front tooth extracted and paid to have a temporary flipper tooth until I can afford a more permanent option. The flipper tooth that I received was really bad. It did not fit right and looked un natural. After two trips back to have it fixed I was told that it's the best they can do and it's only for aesthetic not for function. Crying and feeling defeated, I called and luckily got to see Dr. Crabtree. Him and Mrs. Randy were thoughtful, thorough, and treated me so kindly. Words cannot even express how much relief I felt to have someone actually listen to me and to be more than willing to fix the issue. I also want to thank the office staff for never treating me like a bother. I would recommend Dr Crabtree to everyone! Also, Mrs. Randy is such an incredible person and so good at what she does. Dr. Jackson came in to check on me and to reassure me if there were any issues to not hesitate to call, she was so nice as well!

Fantastic experience: We saw Dr. Jackson yesterday for a cosmetic procedure to improve the confidence of a teenage girl. It was the best experience! Dr. Jackson took her time & worked for 2hrs until the teeth looked perfect. She was so meticulous & obviously, a perfectionist. She was not in a hurry to get the patient out the door. She took breaks to study the teeth and would even ask her assistant’s opinion on things. It was refreshing to see how she respected her assistant’s and how she wanted to be sure the patient was 100% happy before she let her leave. She was down to earth & friendly, her bedside manner was wonderful & had the patient completely at ease. Jillian from the front was very helpful and knowledgeable about the procedure, she stopped by several times to check on us and see how everything was going. She really went above & beyond for us. I met 2 assistants that were also wonderful and so friendly. Both Meagan & Randy knew exactly what they were doing. We were definitely in the hands of true pro’s yesterday! I’m so grateful for the whole experience.

Negative experience: I have been a client of Dr. Mike Maitre's for many years, approx. 20. It saddens me the man he has become, or at least the man he has most recently shown to me. I left a message for him to call me about my concerns of recent visits. He called, he still also has no idea really of what I was going to say because he assumed everything, would not listen but instead aggressively overtalked me more than once. Well, he assumed wrong. NO, Dr. Mike I did not call because of another bill I received, you never have to bill me as I ALWAYS pay before I walk out the door. He has grown to be a disrespectful arrogant Dr. it seems. I suppose all those Nappie awards have gone to his head. I have been a loyal paying client, have never carried a balance and trust me I have had alot of dental work done there. I will just say, HE IS NOT A MAN OF HIS WORD. And does not stand by what he says he will do multiple times.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit. The staff was very professional and polite. Made the check in procedure very easy. Dr. Crabtree and his assistant did a great job explaining all of the steps of my treatment and made me feel very comfortable.

Negative experience: DO NOT get a root canal and crown here! 2 crowns at over $500 each cracked on same tooth within 24 months - literally 12 months between occurrence and they charged each time. Son had one done and it cracked within 2 years also! No return call from manager either when I called to discuss. Went for a second opinion for myself and sent son to a dentist in his college town given both of our crowns cracked again in same month and both dentists had similar findings with this dentist office’s work. Recommend finding another dentist!

Fantastic experience: Dr Maitre has been amazing! He removed an old crown, next I needed a bone graft, once that healed, today I have my implant placed! Each visit and procedure especially today.. I have had NO PAIN! He is kind, has GREAT bedside manner and continually checks on how you are feeling during each procedure! He explains what he is doing the entire time and makes you feel at ease. Fantastic experience: I had a broken temporary crown. I called my dental office they were closed, The answering service directed me to an after hours on call dentist . I left my number and received a call from a Dr. Crabtree who inquired about my issue and gave me the address to his office. I went to his office, where I was greeted by a very friendly staff. I completed my profile paperwork. I was escorted to an exam room, asked a few questions, had a quick exam and a very competent tech fixed my crown. Maitre & Crabtree Dental gets 5 Stars. Fantastic experience: This my first visit referred by Dr. Lauren Moore. First and foremost, AD in the house!!! She's been there for only 3-4 months, but seems like forever. She is very knowledgeable and answered many of my questions even some for my pediatric concerns that I forgot to ask Dr. L Moore. Her clinical skills and chair side manners are fantastic! Dr. Crabtree might want to hang on to her! Dr. Crabtree, all around cool dude! Same goes for him. Very knowledgeable and kept explanations concise for us "laypeople." He seems very genuine. He gave me options and did not try to sell me on dental procedures outside my treatment plan.

Fantastic experience: I choose this place after an extensive search. I had lost my faith in finding an honest dentist in Mobile. I moved here from coastal Ms and left my family dentist in 2016. Just went with the closest one to my new address and I have never felt the same or been treated the same until today. I have extreme anxiety going to the dentist. I choose this place because they said they understand my fear. I was a bit leary at first, but the dental hygienist Wendy was so patient with me and talked me through everything. It turned out to be a good experience. I will be permanently changing to this office. I met with Dr. Crabtree and he seems like a wonderful and caring doctor., and I look forward to calling him my dentist from this day forward.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Crabtree is the man. Enjoy the few minutes I get with him every time I visit. Always so genuine and wants to talk to you about things that he knows interest you. As many patients as he has, find it very impressive he remembers exactly what to talk about with each one after every 6 months. Can’t say enough good things!

Negative experience: I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this dental office. I called the day before my appointment to confirm whether they accepted my dental insurance. The receptionist, Alicia, repeatedly assured me that they did. However, when I arrived for my appointment at 12:45 PM, Alicia was nowhere to be found, and another staff member informed me that they do not accept my insurance because they are out of network. Not only was my time completely wasted, but I was left scrambling to find another dentist while dealing with severe tooth pain. To make matters worse, they also failed to send me the required paperwork beforehand because Alicia had entered my email incorrectly. When I called to correct it, they responded with sarcasm and an unprofessional attitude, yet still insisted I come in for the appointment. This office’s lack of communication, unprofessionalism, and disregard for patient care caused me unnecessary stress and an extra day of pain. If you’re looking for a reliable and honest dental office, I strongly suggest going elsewhere.

Dr. Michael Maitre Sr was a fine man who possessed the skill and techniques a great dentist should have and he was a pretty good bass fisherman too. He was well known and loved by all who became acquainted with him. After his passing I was in a tear, who's going to be my Dentist now ? Poised there right at his fathers side all the while was Michael G Maitre Jr , who I gladly accepted as my provider of dental care. I soon found that the one star had another star right there in the circle. I discovered Dr. Maitre jr possesses the knowledge and skills that match or exceed his father, God rest his soul. The staff in the group are friendly, kind, courteous and highly skilled. When performing a dental procedure Dr. Maitre jr wants to make sure you're comfortable and if at all possible, free of pain. His center provides the patient with the very latest in dental equipment and procedures. They care about your dental health and they show it. Choosing the Maitre & Crabtree Dental Group would be a wise decision for you and your family.

Positive experience: Dr Maitre, I have been waiting for a return call and email with my quote and details since 11/21--11 days. PLEASE Dr Maitre have Jillian call me tomorrow. There is no email for me to directly contact you and I am calling every day and told 2-3 times a day she is busy and will get back to me by end of day. I waited all through the Holiday. I am supposed to come for treatment on 12/10, my husband needs to know for his work schedule. PLEASE TELL ME something as to my status, its not fair to me, I need to know what's happening, Its making me crazy.

Fantastic experience: I’ll be blunt I’m not a fan of the dentist but Dr. Jackson and her assistant Jessica made my view on dentists change. This is just my experience on it but practically no pain, I didn’t feel any of the needles used, I have more sensitive gums and even then didn’t feel much. They were really understanding about a lot of things. They even had a blanket and stress balls you could use just in case. I’m naturally a really shaky person at dentists but I think that was the first time I barely did.

Fantastic experience: Dr.shippe is a great Dentist he and his helper puts you at ease which is great because I am so terrified of the shots mostly..pulled 2 teeth and I hardly felt it in about 15 minutes. I would tell everybody to come to This dentist office they are great.

Fantastic experience: I am here working in Mobile on business and my crown came loose. Sent them and email that night and call the in the morning at 7:30am, they open at 8:00am. They told me come in at 8:00am and they would work me in. Waited 15 minutes then they took me back. Process was very easy and reattaching the crown was fast. They took my insurance, if I lived here they would be my permanent dentist!! Thank you Mainer and Crabtree for the quick service!!!

Negative experience: The place is great never had an issue but my last appointment was disappointing. The lady who performed my cleaning did it so aggressively that i ended up taking ibuprofen to help with the discomfort. When I mentioned how much that hurt she blame it on me. Never had a bad experience in a dental facility until now. Requesting someone different for sure.
