Fantastic experience: The staff at Sunrise Dental in Cary are absolutely wonderful! After moving here four years ago from out of state, I’d been going to one of those large “chain” dental offices simply because it was close and accepted my insurance. Unfortunately, it felt more like a factory—rushing through cleanings with little attention to quality or patient comfort. From the moment I walked into Sunrise Dental, everything changed. I was greeted warmly and treated with genuine care and professionalism. My hygienist, Meg, was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. She cleaned my teeth thoroughly yet gently—no sonic water spray in my face, no smashed lips, and no sore gums afterward! Dr. Tang was equally impressive. He listened carefully, quickly identified the source of my tooth pain and other issues, and explained everything with skill and confidence. A special shout-out to Marcelle—she’s clearly the glue that holds the office together! She’s incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and went out of her way to put me at ease while assisting Dr. Tang with my filling. I interacted with nearly everyone on the team during my visit, and I only wish I could remember every name to thank them individually. Every single person was professional, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make the experience stress-free. Thank you, Sunrise Dental, from the bottom of my heart! If you’re looking for a new dentist, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with them right away—you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tucker and his staff are both very professional and kind. I have been a patient for over a year and have been pleased with my cleaning and crowns. I needed an emergency appointment yesterday when one of my molars broke w/ an ancient filling. Dr. Tucker accommodated me which I appreciated. Being a Senior, I was treated very well and even offered a blanket when I became chilly AND a movie to watch to distract my mind while he fitted me in and treated me, while also caring for his scheduled patients . I have never been offered that before! Thank you, Dr. Tucker and staff! I have a sensitive mouth and appreciate being treated so gently !

Fantastic experience: This place is AMAZING from the entire staff to the atmosphere. Great music playing in the background and the Joy in the air is contagious. For this being my first time here and I had an unforgettable moment from the checkin to the dental assistant Marselle, the hygenist Mags and Doctor Feinn. I have never been to a place where everyone is dedicated to their job, the amount of teamwork and effort put into every patient was so nice to see. I was scheduled for a cleaning but got sooo much more. I was informed of different techniques and resources to improve my dental health. It was done with so much care that you can tell the team really care about their patients. I was soo intrigued about the service I booked my appointment as close as possible to continue getting the great service to show off my new smile. I recommend Sunrise Dental to anyone who cares about their teeth and their dental health.

Fantastic experience: Sunrise was my last stop with a difficult and painful tooth that I’d been to my regular dentist and an endodontist about. Dr Tucker and his assistant Marcella made me feel very comfortable because after long pauses between visits and so much pain, along with other excruciating attempts to work on the tooth, I was afraid. They solved the problem and they are my regular dentists now. I wish I’d gone to them first - I could have saved myself a lot of unnecessary discomfort and maybe prevented this tooth problem altogether. Dr Tucker and Marcella are smart and experienced and know what they’re doing. Very grateful for their help!

Negative experience: The place is not ran well and a bit of chaotic..mess The new Doctor who bought the practice -Dr.Tucker does not take my insurance and they did not tell anyone. So now a bill? When you call back the office manager Brooke does not return any of my phone calls ..and is non chalant and simply rude .. and unprofessional…If you don’t take my insurance at least tell patients instead of being greedy because you want my money ..now I have to pay a large bill..There are better dental offices out there that will be Honest in their billing process.My Advice Run

Fantastic experience: I recently had a follow-up cleaning appointment where I received the fluoride varnish treatment for the first time. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I noticed a significant reduction in enamel sensitivity in several of my teeth afterward. If you experience enamel sensitivity, this treatment may be worth considering.

Negative experience: Sunrise Dental Clinic in Cary NC sold their business last year. The new owners attempted to charge me almost $1700 for something that had already been paid. When I called to clear it up I spoke with their office manager Brooke who was a poor representative of a business. They cleared the account after incessant notices and then she called to bother me today for no reason and began an argument, basically, after 20 years, I am not be trusted as a patient. Per the receptionist, there were quite a few of these actions to collect funds they were not due. Steer clear of this business; avoid the woman Brooke, she is most unkind and unprofessional. If you love Sunriise as I have, go to another location. I love it when an hourly office manager gets to fire clients without the new owner knowing.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my New Patient Appointment and Dental Cleaning w/ X- Rays at Sunrise Dental, at the Parkside Cary location. It was a phenomenal experience! I was warmly, greeted by Cynthia and given a tour of the facility in preparation for my appointment. Mikayla and Endia were the Dental Hygienist team that handled my X- Rays and Cleaning. Both women were an absolute pleasure to meet, were professional, and personable throughout the process! Dr. Butler was my Dentist that followed up with my cleaning. She was another amazing woman that provided extra details and insight for how my teeth were doing. I couldn’t be more pleased and happy with my time at Sunrise. I already scheduled my follow up appointment with them. I’ll highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a dentist clinic.

Fantastic experience: Dropped by after relocating to the area, previous hygienist had popped out a filling during my last cleaning. They got me scheduled next day and got it taken care of. They took the time to listen and the repair is undetectable. Friendly staff and the dentist that took care of my filling did a great job!

Negative experience: Horrible experience. I had a dental procedure in January2025, I paid $2000 as they take money in advance and submit the claim later to insurance. It resulted in dental abscess for which I had to get a root canal for another $2000. I went and got the root canal from a different provider as I dint trust them anymore. I have called sunrise dental regarding the insurance claim more than 10 times now, every time they answer, they have submitted or resubmitted and there is nothing in the portal. Meanwhile my experience with the other provider went smoothly including payment and insurance.

Fantastic experience: Sunrise Dental in Cary has a beautiful, clean office space for you to feel comfortable getting your teeth cleaned. The hygienists are lovely and do a fabulous job cleaning your teeth! Endia is my favorite hygienist. She just whitened my teeth and always does a fantastic job with cleanings too. I appreciate how personable she is and willing to accommodate your dental needs. Dr. Shah is also very personable, knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend Sunrise Dental for taking care of your smile!

Fantastic experience: I went for a cleaning yesterday and this was by far my best experience from a dentist. Jordan Tucker noticed that 3 of my cavities seemed like they were getting worse so he asked if he moved stuff around if I would stay to get them filled. We ended up filling them and this was the best filling I’ve ever gotten it was quick and efficient with little to no pain at all. Not only are Dr. Tucker and Dr.Shah great but the whole staff there. They are all so welcoming and not one time have I been there and they didn’t know my name already. They are great!

First, Endia demonstrates extraordinary bedside manner-- illustrating that she not only truly cares about her own performance and career, but also truly cares for her patients and their outcomes. She's very personable and has a warm and welcoming demeanor, and she's very thorough when explaining the procedural processes-- highlighting the importance of each step and ensuring the patient understands. Furthermore, Endia also has excellent attention to detail, and she's very gentle and meticulous in her dental work, prioritizing patient comfort-- as she frequently asks "are you doing ok?" while she's performing the procedures. Lastly, Endia reinforces the significance of one's oral hygiene and the health outcomes associated with it, while also providing great insights and helpful tips on how to improve and maintain good oral hygiene at home. When the procedure has finished, she ensures the patient's satisfaction with the dental work, and walks you through any post-op instructions, and welcomes you to come back for the continuation of care. Fantastic experience: I’m a big chicken. I’d rather have a C section than dental work. So when I had to have a bunch of cracked fillings replaced (I’d been putting off for awhile), I braced myself. I was pleasantly surprised! Dr Shah and Leann made me as comfortable as possible. No pain! Even the numbing shot didn’t hurt! They were quick and explained things as they went. Leann gave me reassuring pats on the shoulder (thank you!). Definitely a 5/5 experience as far as dental work goes.

I've never had a routine cleaning before that was so relaxing and enjoyable and made me feel like my gums had a massage experience. I asked her how long she had been a hygienists and she's very new, however I thought she had the experience of someone with many years experience!

Next step was polishing the teeth and booking next appointment. The dental hygienist took over and completed the cleaning of my teeth. All done in a timely manner.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is so friendly! I was greeted as I walked inside. My hygienist greeted me, and I was taken right back. Got X-rays, cleaning and saw the dentist, was out in 45 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Hadn’t been to a dentist in over a decade. Received a mailing and decided to try out this office. It’s super clean, professional and had all the latest technology and equipment. The dentist was extremely nice and informative. She even backed up everything she said during her exam, by showing me with a small hand held camera! I will be back regularly for a cleaning as the first one I got was great.

Negative experience: Worst Dentist experience ever . I went there for a routine teeth cleaning unfortunately with Dr. SHAH .. I was told that i have gum disease and he force me to do a deep cleaning and i told doctor that i don’t have any pain or any issues with my teeth but still he didn’t do my regular cleaning and told me that you need only deep cleaning and i can’t do your regular cleaning it effect my license.. The very strange thing i ever heard from a doctor! He told me that I’m going to lose my teeth soon if i don’t do deep cleaning today! I told him I’m not prepared today i will take appointment next please do my routine cleanup but he was so greedy , he forced me to do deep cleaning! Please everyone be careful and avoid the doctor!

After my cleaning, Dr. Vice provided a thorough and easy-to-understand breakdown of my current dental status, and after listening attentively to my concerns, she gave me excellent advice on how best to take care of my teeth going forward.
