Fantastic experience: First, I am that anxiety filled patient who hasn't seen a dentist in 10+yrs. I cannot recommend this practice enough. They are the most professional, KNOWLEDGEABLE and unbelievably pleasant team i have ever had the pleasure of worrying with. From the moment I walked in I have NEVER been made to feel so entirely at ease. From reception, to hygienist, to Doctor thru surgery. They use headsets to communicate and the sheer knowledge & unbelievably amount of technology between EVERYONE in that office was BEYOND impressive I was a new patient they fit in the SAME DAY. I went in for xrays/ cleaning and left with an entire treatment plan AND they were able to remove and place a temporary 1st visit. 53yo, 30yr old crowns. I had an "unpleasant" couple of hours and the next day I'm only taking ibuprofen. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Negative experience: I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 2 DAYS AND HAVE HAD NO CALL BACK FROM MY DENTIST DR. BARBOSA!!! I CALLED TWICE ON TUESDAY AND SAID I HAD AN EMERGENCY. MY CROWN HAS GONE BAD AND I AM IN PAIN, SINCE THE DENSTIST 1 WK. AGO BANGED AROUND MY CROWN AND THE NEXT DAY I WAS VERY SENSITIVE TO COLD AND IT IS HURTING!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PRACTICE THAT THEY IGNORE THEIR LONG-STANDING PATIENT'S REQUEST TO COME IN??? I GUESS IT'S TIME TO FIND A NEW DENTIST!!

All the staff at the dental office are very helpful and courteous. Would recommend this dental office for anyone who is looking for excellent dental care.

Negative experience: This dentist like you to get extra services that your insurance does not cover. They told me that I didn't owe anything but sent be a bill for $278. I didn't pay it because they lied. Then they sent me to a credit service. I had to pay them to keep it off of my credit. They are scammers. They commit insurance fraud. I should of read the reviews. They tell everybody they need a deep clean. Also the cleaning did not last for more than 20 minutes ?

Negative experience: I had insurance. Had a cleaning, paid what they said I owed. Weeks later they want more money. Stay away from this scam.

Positive experience: Great place to get dental care! One problem was when my insurance was no longer covered and I wasn't going to have my teeth cleaned because of it and talked to a lady that said the funds that I had remaining with them "remaining amount from cash I used" that it would cover it and said that I didnt have to pay anymore. Even though she said that I received a bill and payed it so it didnt have a negative effect on my credit.

Positive experience: Note: my legal first name is different than the one I use here. This review is indeed for Coolidge Court. I have had both positive and negative experiences at Coolidge Court. For cleanings, they're great. I had an extraction that became infected at one point and had a really hard time communicating with the office, which was a huge issue and resulted in more pain than necessary. But I really like Dr. Barbosa- he's very nice and I think he does good work. Today I came in for crown prep and a temporary crown, and I was really surprised at the assistant's lack of basic PPE (personal protective equipment) and how long it took to fit me for the temporary crown. My primary issue is that the assistant was not wearing a mask or gown for most of the time in which she was working in very close proximity to my open mouth. I am immunocompromised, but even if I weren't, my this would be a huge issue. At the time I didn't feel comfortable asking her to wear a mask, because I didn't know if it was required, but after checking I am now sure that this was a violation of federal and state PPE requirements. No gown. No mask. She also dropped the temporary crown twice (though she sanitized it and changed gloves afterwards, to her credit). Once the crown was placed it needed more shaping, and she did this without water, so the dust coated my throat and mouth, and I was breathing it in. I almost threw up. I didn't realize why this was happening until the dentist took over and used water to manage the dust, and I realized that she hadn't used water. In all fairness, the assistant could tell I was uncomfortable and did seem concerned, asking me several times if I was alright. I don't necessarily fault her but I do fault whoever is not upholding PPE requirements and training for assistants. I have to return to Coolidge for my permanent crown and I hope that goes well. But after that, I will be changing dentists. But, like I said- the hygienists are great!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience during my dental cleaning yesterday. The dental hygienist was friendly, professional, and very personable, which made the entire visit comfortable and stress-free. The front desk staff was equally friendly and professional. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. It’s always refreshing to walk into an office where everyone is kind, organized, and genuinely pleasant to interact with. I would definitely recommend this dental office to anyone who is looking for great dental care with excellent customer service!

Positive experience: Coolidge Dental is a great dentist office. I did have an issue with the billing department not updating my current insurance and billing the services to the wrong insurance, but that has since been rectified. And also any insurance questions or concerns need to addressed before the actual appointment. Other than that, it’s a great place to receive dental care.

Front desk was friendly and beyond helpful. I have my treatment plan and am excited to be on the road to healthier teeth. This might be the dentist office that actually sticks long term!

Negative experience: Horrible experience, woman on the phone was very flat and monotone and didn’t care at all about the pain I’m experiencing, my dental work I need would cost around 30k but I guess that’s not important either to this office, they were completely useless in helping me and have left me in no way better than before I called

She made sure to let me know what to expect, used a calm and caring tone the entire time and made sure I was comfortable. While a tooth extraction is an unpleasant experience the staff made it so much better.

This office truly cares about your dental health and wants to personally help you get your smile back to looking great. I owe so much to Dr. Whitlow for her great dental work and the amount of help the entire office has done to make dental work affordable. The entire front desk team is amazing as well, Mimi is always a pleasure to deal with!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Whitlow is heaven sent!! I have a terrible fear of the dentist and sadly had to get a root canal. She and her team took the time to listen to my concerns, made accommodations and coached me through the entire process of getting the work done. She was gentle, understanding and displayed so much compassion I literally cried going home. This is the first time I’ve ever had a pleasant experience with the dentist. I’m locked in and will fight tooth and nail if our relationship had to end.

Positive experience: Cleaning appts are booked out by 3-4 months. Brooklyn is an amazing hygienist. Ortho appt wait time was over 30 mins this last time. If wait time wasn't so ridiculous, I would have given 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience. The Dentist told me something no other dentist told me that I grind my teeth in my sleep. I chose this dentist office through my mom’s referral my old dentist office started doing procedures they had never done before like deep cleanings that I know I didn’t need and just saying things needed to be done that I didn’t feel needed done. I felt like because I had good insurance they were trying to get what they could. This dentist office said aside from me grinding my teeth my teeth were beautiful and there wasn’t any extensive cleaning I needed to do. I love this new dentist office. To me it’s new.

Negative experience: Requires you to pay out of pocket for additional services. States it’s “required by doctors” but not insurance. After two years and not wanting any extra services and being talked to like a child and told I could not get insurance paid services unless I pay for extra services out of pocket. Scam!

Fantastic experience: A very clean spacious place. Everyone is so nice and kind. From the time you enter to the time you are finished is quick time. They don't try to get you to buy or do different things. If you say no they don't pressure you about it. I love this place.

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled for 8:00 AM. I didn’t realize they open right at 8, so I arrived early at 7:45 to see if anyone was there. I noticed a girl sitting at the first desk, so I knocked on the door. Instead of acknowledging me, she saw me and hid herself, then kept checking if I had left. That felt very rude and unprofessional. At the very least, they could have informed me that they open at 8 instead of ignoring me like that.

Fantastic experience: I would love to extend my gratitude to the young man at the front who was very patient with me and went over the details of my procedures and the financial responsibilities thoroughly and as many times as I needed. I apologize for not knowing his name. I also want to extend my sincerest gratitude to Jas who checked in on me despite not having me as a patient. Her kind gesture turned my appointment around completely. She was so welcoming and I really felt my anxiety melt away. The doctor I had and the nurse who accompanied him for the procedure , I unfortunately forgot their names, were a great team. The doctor was excellent in making sure that I knew which part of the process he was on and told me when he had to apply more pressure to remove the tooth than expected. The woman who assisted him gave me a blanket, made sure I was as comfortable as possible and further created a welcoming environment that Jas started. She talked with a little after the doctor left and made a connection that truly impressed upon me that I am welcome to come back and finish out my care. Thank you to everyone who exemplified professionalism and belonging.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many dentists over the course of my lifetime and I am an old man. Going to Coolidge Court has been amazing. Luckily I was assigned the best technician they have, Kristen. Kristen takes the time to explain to me everything she is going to do and answers any questions I have about why is she going to do it. This is the best dentist / tooth care business I've ever been to. I don't mind going to the dentist anymore. I won't say I look forward to it but I most certainly don't mind it.

Negative experience: The people were so cold and uninviting. It was strictly business. The lady who discussed my plan couldn’t even explain it to me, she just read the paper which I can do myself. She was unable to answer questions and kept referring to the hygienist to answer my questions. The dentist was short and not really friendly. I did not like the vibe. It was my first and last visit with them. I called my old dentist right after I left.

Fantastic experience: Forgot to review last year or the year before. I had an amazing experience removing my 4 wisdom teeth. Can’t really remember anyone besides the dentist, I was put under anesthesia for the procedure. It took about an hour and a half. Overall, they took really great care of me with the proper follow up aftercare. I was eating normally after two days but everyone’s different. Thank you guys!

Negative experience: I am very disappointed. It was my understanding that it was going to take all of the money that was allotted for my dental insurance for the year with nothing out of pocket. I go up there only to find out that not only do they want all of the money from the insurance for the year but they also want over $1,000 out of pocket. I'm on disability and can't afford that. Normally when I go up there I'm very satisfied. I don't really understand how I can have a bridge and a bunch of other dental work done last year under the same insurance but this time around it takes all my money from my insurance plus over a thousand out of my pocket for the one bridge.

The dentists, especially Dentist Omar Barbosa, are very professional and empathetic. The prices are also very good. The best dental service in Tallahassee.
