Dr. Chavarriaga has the hands of an angel — he was calm, gentle, and incredibly skilled. My mother did not feel any pain at all, and his settled, reassuring presence made all the difference. The staff is just as wonderful: professional, attentive, and genuinely familiar in the best way. They made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and safe throughout the entire visit. Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with my root canal treatment at the Lake Nona office. The office is elegant, clean, and modern, which made me feel comfortable right away. Fantastic experience: Dr. Mauricio Chavarriaga is AMAZING. My dentist found an infection above my canine/eye tooth, and it failed the sensitivity test, and she recommended getting seen by Dr. Chavarriaga for a potential root canal. I went for a referral appt and evaluation and the office staff along with the medical team was very kind and patient. When I told Dr. C that I have major anxiety when it comes to dental work, he assured me that I felt nothing and would be relaxed. He did xrays and a ct scan to ensure what my dentist referred me for was what I needed. After the schedule procedure he called me from his personal cell that night to check on me, even medical doctors don't do that. If I or anyone in my family are ever in need of an Endodontist I would definitely return and recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Recently, just days before I was leaving for four weeks of travel, I had an unexpected urgent need - a sharp pain in one tooth. I phoned my regular dentist at 8:30am and got an appointment for 9:15. They determined I probably needed a root canal and they contacted an endodontist that they trusted, Dr C at East Orange Endodontics, and arranged an appointment for me there at 11am. I arrived, was quickly and courteously welcomed and prepped. Dr C then very carefully and meticulously performed the root canal. By early afternoon the work was completed. The whole lower side of my face was numb, but as feeling returned, the pain was gone. The temporary filling they provided held until I returned to Orlando and my regular dentist could put in a permanent filling. I am still so amazed at the quick professional response both by my regular dentist and by East Orange Endodontics.

I just had a root canal and was mostly concerned about the numbing, but Dr.C has the hands of an angel and I didn’t feel a single thing. Fantastic experience: Three months after a dental bridge procedure, I was referred to Dr. Chavarriaga due to severe pain. After a thorough exam and evaluation, I was told I needed a root canal. I've never had a need for any extensive dental work until the dental bridge and now a root canal, so I was nervous. From the moment I called, they were kind and professional. Clear and concise explanations from the moment I walked in. The office staff is very pleasant and welcoming . (Louis) went over the billing with precise clarity. Dr. Chavarriaga is experienced and caring as well. While getting the root canal procedure, (Yami) the dental assistant (so sweet) treated me with care and kindness. The procedure was completed with no discomfort and they made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Excellent results, as I feel no pain or sensitivity any longer. Fantastic experience: Excellent! First time visiting. From the moment that I called, they were very nice and accommodating. Lina made sure I was seen on the same day because I was in pain. Fantastic experience: Dr. Chavarriaga was very kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. His experience shows through his work. I was nervous for RTC, but Yami was very kind and helpful throughout the process.

Negative experience: I was referred by my dentist for an emergency root canal. The procedure was done incorrectly and after a week of extreme pain and discomfort I called and was told to take over the counter pain meds. I went back to my dentist who tool X-rays and found that one of the roots of my tooth was not even filled at all. I had to go back in for a second root canal procedure and I still have pain months later. Would not go back to this practice

Fantastic experience: My entire experience was phenomenal. From scheduling with Lina (who was a gem with scheduling having to be changed due to work commitments- I am an attorney so my schedule sometimes changes randomly) to the staff (Veronica and Louis) to the Doctor. I had been dealing with this tooth for a long time now and I felt as though all of the other dental providers were just gaslighting me. Everyone today was genuinely warm, kind, knowledgeable and I felt safe. I hate coming to the dentist because of the pain. But I will be getting my dental work here because I already feel like I am wanted and valued. And not being taken advantage of. Thank you and I look forward to coming again for my next appointment. Fantastic experience: I previously had a root canal procedure (see below as it won't let me do 2 reviews) with Dr. Chavarriaga and it was a pain free, top-notch experience. I had no idea at that time I would end up almost 3yrs later needing a DOUBLE molar root canal, one that by time of diagnosis had progressed into a serious, drug-resistant abscess due to constant use of antibiotics for a stubborn ear infection. I share this to illustrate this wasn't a run-of-the-mill scenario but one with possible complications given how bad things had gotten. I learned during the process I would need SIX (6!) canals cleared (3 each molar) instead of just the standard one--but Dr. C’s willingness & confidence in tackling this challenge really put my mind at ease. What was astounding was how he was able to do such a complex procedure in just around an hour. It was so much faster than I expected, and he and his assistant still managed to check in with me every step of the way to ensure I was not in any discomfort. I am 4 days out and feel normal again, better than I have in months. Thank you Dr. C! If you need a root canal--ESP if you have a serious or complicated situation you’re scared of like I was--I literally cannot recommend this doctor enough. If he were a video game character, his skill level would be 1000: Final Level Boss. I came here in desperate need of a root canal and was out of pain and on my way in just barely over an hour. Doctor was a referral from Dr. Port and I can't say enough good things about how quickly and expertly this was done! I have dental anxiety but this dentist saw to my comfort while letting me know exactly what to expect. This root canal went better than many fillings I've had and I walked out relieved from pain but also with a trust in this doctor and his staff. Hopefully I won't need another root canal but if I *did*, I wouldn't hesitate to come back and would recommend anyone with dental anxiety to try this office--they're fabulous and really do listen to their patients!

Fantastic experience: GO HERE! This was my second visit to Dr. Mauricio, the first time was in 2019 and he only gets better. The office staff is incredibly professional and friendly. Before the visit, everything INCLUDING PRICING was explained in simple terms and they did not mind all of the questions I had. Since my first visit, I have developed severe anxiety about dental procedures (not caused by them LoL) and everyone was so kind and patient. Dr. Mauricio kept me updated during every step of the procedure, they offered blankets and beverages. They also allowed me to wear headphones so I could distract myself with music. I highly recommend this office for any kind of serious dental procedures. God forbid I ever need oral surgery again, I will always return here. Shout out to Louis & Veronica for being so kind to me.

Fantastic experience: Came here for a root canal. When,I arrived for my appt The receptionist was super polite. Also,the dental assistant(s) Yami & Veronica were top notch. Dr Chavarriaga explained the entire procedure before he started.I did not feel a thing during the entire procedure. Fantastic experience: I went to Chavarriaga at this office for some crowns that hurt an extreme amount when cold. I did consultation first and from the tests it seemed they were potentially reversible. It took a few weeks and check ups, but my pain was resolved through their treatment plan and has stayed away since by following their instructions. I am super grateful and happy I didn’t need a root canal or two! The staff was also very nice about everything.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Mauricio Chavarriaga, D.D.S. He and his staff are wonderful! I needed a root canal on one of my capped teeth due to an infection. I felt very comfortable the entire procedure, despite the infection in my mouth.. Dr Chavarriaga has a wonderful way of making one feel relaxed before the procedure. Between him and his dental assistance, Yamilett, I knew what my procedure would involve. I experience no pain or discomfort during my procedure. I left knowing what I needed to do to help the healing. And most importantly, he saved my tooth when I had been told by another Endodontics, my tooth needed to be pull. It did not.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here from my dentist for a root canal. Dr. Chavarriaga and his staff were prompt, professional, and flexible with my schedule. Miss Victoria and Miss Hilda were extremely helpful my entire time as a patient. Dr. Chavarriaga did an excellent job on my root canal. I had only minor discomfort during and for maybe 12 hours after. He even took the extra step to look into an anomaly after. With his guidance, I was able to get on the calendar with the appropriate specialist before the end of year which saved me thousands of dollars in co-pays. I will hopefully not need his services again, but if I do, I will be happy to return.

Fantastic experience: This was my first procedure ever and I have bad anxiety, but thanks to the doctor and staff I had a great experience. I needed a root canal on my bottom left very back molar and I have and impacted wisdom down there. Evelyn and Hilde were incredibly helpful with getting me set up and feeling comfortable! I was walked through each step of the procedure beforehand and Evelyn and Dr. C took extra time talking about their decades of experience to be reassuring. They numbed me down and I couldn't feel much of anything, and what I did feel was hardly an issue. They also gave me hand signals to use for different needs or problems I could have. Afterwards they talked to me about caring for the tooth and temp filling. Overall I left feeling perfectly fine, went to work with a half numb face which was interesting and kinda funny . Would absolutely recommend this Endo office to anyone!

Fantastic experience: It was Monday morning and I had toothache all weekend. I needed an emergency appointment because I had a flight booked for Wednesday. I called the office and spoke to Diego and explained my issue. He offered me an emergency appointment same day! Upon arrival I met Luis and Diego who greeted me with a warm welcome. I was nervous about what could be but they were so helpful and kind I felt comfortable immediately. Then I met with Dr Mauricio Chavarriaga Assistant who was also friendly and explained the procedure. She and Dr. Chavarriaga work together on me making my experience of a root canal pleasant and pain free! I was expecting significant damage to my crown due to the root canal, but I was amazed to see just a tiny hole. I don’t know how you did that, Dr. C, but I appreciate it immensely. Fantastic experience: I had my root canal done here and it was painless. Dr. Chavarriaga and Veronica did a great job. The procedure seemed quick and ibuprofen helps with any pains after the procedure, only needed for 2-3 days.

Negative experience: UPDATED REVIEW. Please read in its entirety! Initial visit 11/15/2023 I normally don’t like to leave reviews but this one is warranted. First and foremost i work in health insurance and have for about 10 years now, I’m very educated on my benefits. Today i had an appointment and i was presented a $245 fee for a CT scan and was told “ most insurances only cover 80%” however in my mind I’m thinking, there’s no way they checked my actual benefits because mine is covered at 100%. Even called my insurance afterwards to confirm. Second, why do you wait until 24 hours before to tell a patient that they’d have to pay $245 for a consultation! That’s something that should be told before BOOKING the appointment. I left work early, drove here and wasted gas. Please educate yourself on insurance plans because first and foremost “ most don’t only cover 80%” the secretary asked me “ well how much do you have towards the $245” as if their selling me something lol. I’ve heard wonderful things about the dentist but his staff isn’t the nicest and clearly need to be educated more on All insurances. Staff wise, i don’t recommend. No one should have to pay $245 out of pocket for a CT scan! Before even getting the actual root canal done, in this economy! Stop trying to hustle people. 11/27-11/28/2023 I have never in my years of health care experienced such ignorance! After my review i got a call from Nicole the office manager apologizing about the previous issue. She saw my review and said “ that is in no way how we conduct our business blah blah blah” She asked me if I’d like to give them another try and offered me a CT scan for free. I was hesitant and i truly wish i would’ve went with my gut feeling but i thought about it and called her back a week later to schedule. While on the phone, she asked could i delete my google review. I said i would but i got busy with work, life and my kids. I had every intention to UPDATE the review today, after my visit! I planned to come in today 11/28/2023 and 12:15 but got a call from a Mellisa at 11:35 stating i couldn’t come in for the appointment until i deleted the review!!!! Keep in mind my appointment was at 12:15 and i just clocked out of work to leave for the appointment. My opinion of this office still remains the same and the billing staff etc is only concerned with google reviews and not quality care. I simply wanted a root canal, i wasted so much time here and i advise anyone to continue their search for quality care! Even if the doctor is great, no one wants to deal with a staff like THIS! Me and Nicole’s conversation never stated I HAD to delete the review before being serviced! Clearly they care more about google, than taking care of your teeth! I wish, i could give them negative 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: 3rd root canal that was done with Dr. Chavarriaga, i’m so impressed with the staff and the kindness that comes from that office. No pain whatsoever afterwards!! he makes it so easy to relax in the chair. His kindness radiates through him, and the level of professionalism is a wow!! Fantastic experience: I wish I could give Dr. Chavarriaga & his team 10 STARS!!! I cannot say enough to thank Dr. Chavarriaga & his team for how wonderful they have treated me. From the moment you walk into the office you feel the warm welcome from his front desk team. His assistant Evelyn is so friendly & her warmth radiated from her!! She is so professional & put me completely at ease before, during & after my procedure. Dr. Charvarriaga is simply AMAZING!! so knowledgeable, so warm & caring & really listens to you & does everything possible to give you the best care. He is TOP NOTCH in his field and I highly recommend him for all your endodontic needs. It's wonderful that he has 2 centrally located offices, I have been to both & have been treated amazingly each time. Fantastic experience: I came here for a root canal and of course I was super nervous. But from my first appointment to the actual treatment they have all been amazing at the receiving area and comforting. Dr. Mauricio Chavarriaga have Angel Hands!! I did not feel a thing. His assistant Veronica was super nice and gentle. I RECOMMEND EAST ORANGE ENDODONTICS 100%

Negative experience: I would NOT recommend this place at all. Doctor chavarriage is very nice and gentle when examining but I feel like the CT that is recommended by the front desk is just to get extra money out because they can simply look at the X-rays and find out what is going on, especially since I am being refer by my GD. I do not want to imagine how many people have paid for that CT scan because it is presented by the front desk first. Looks to me as if they care more about money then your own health. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Pls don’t waste your time.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service! No one would want to have a root canal...but, if necessary, I highly recommend Dr. Chavarriaga and his team. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, especially Luis at reception who made it possible for me to be attended to in the shortest time possible. Juan Felipe, his assistant with a very good attitude and communication and Dr. Chavarriaga very precise in his diagnosis. He explained each step to me when he was doing the treatment which became easier than I expected. Definitely a 5/5 rating.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my dentist to do a consult and possible root canal. While it’s never fun to have dental work done, this office was welcoming and warm. The gentleman at the front desk was so friendly and calming and there was a cute little refreshment area. Then you get in the room and the chair is comfy, there’s a tv for you and they provide you a little menu of comfort options. I chose a blanket because I always get a little shaky from nerves. It was so nice that I could feel comfortable while doing something so uncomfortable. The Dr. was incredibly nice and thorough while explaining what was happening and while I ended up not needing work, it was such a great experience that if I ever do need an endodontist in the future I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I got a root canal and it went much better than I expected. The office is very nice and clean and every one was super nice! Veronica treated me like a king. I even got a cup of freshly brewed Dunkin’ coffee. It was more like a spa than a dentist office, I’m very grateful for all the staff.

Fantastic experience: Love this office. I think it’s safe to say that no one wants to have to see an endodontist … but if you have to, I highly recommend Dr. Chavarriaga and his team. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, especially the two gentlemen at the front desk (sorry I don’t remember their names). They even offer a menu of items to make you feel more comfortable, like a blanket or ear plugs. Shout out to Veronica for dealing with my sensitivities!

Fantastic experience: One of the best experiences I have ever had getting a root canal. Dr. Chavarriaga was beyond fantastic, his experience and personality was exactly what anyone needs in a dental chair. Veronica his assistant was exceptional. From the get go she was calming and kind. She explained each step and who they were. Although wearing a mask I felt her huge smile throughout the day. Both of the above had a genuine care about my comfort and kept me informed throughout the procedures. I high and most definitely recommend these two amazing professionals for any dental work their office performs.

Positive experience: Have had several root canals by Dr. Chavarriaga. He did a great job. He is caring toward his patients. However, I don't know what to make of his office staff. They overcharged me for treatment. You can find this out by comparing your insurance statement with your credit card receipt. Called them on three separate occasions to get the money refunded to me. They acknowledged the overcharge and promised to get a check sent to me. After over three months, it has yet to arrive. Not happy about this. Edit: Their office called me and made things right. Fantastic experience: My experience was over the top from start to finish!! I was referred to Dr. Douglas' office for some dental work by my dentist. I called to schedule my appointments and the staff was very polite, professional, comforting and understanding on so many levels. Dr. Douglas and Evelyn were an EXCELLENT team while performing my root canal replacement. (Note: I had a previous root canal that was not properly corrected, which caused extreme pain and discomfort due to a bacterial infection. It was not EOE nor was it my current dentist's office.) Dr. Douglas and Evelyn were not only very gentle with me from the sensitivity I was having, but were also educating me about the the process, the results, etc. I was SUPER impressed with every visit (2x - once for my temp filling and once for my permanent filling) due to their professionalism, care, support and friendliness. After Dr. Douglas and Evelyn finished the procedure, I told both of them I wanted to give them a hug for everything they have done for me. I also told them that they treated me like royalty for caring about all of my needs!! If you need any dental work that needs a specialist, I HIGHLY recommend making an appointment at East Orange Endodontics in Lake Nona, FL!!! You will not be disappointed, but thoroughly enjoy your visit and the connections you will make!! :)

Fantastic experience: I recently got my root canal done at the Waterford location and the Doctor and staff was extremely nice and understanding. The facility is really clean and the receptionist are really nice. I would mostly like to thank Veronica, on helping get through the procedure she was very nice and held my hands through it.

Fantastic experience: Such a comfortable experience! Entire staff was warm knowledgeable and extra attentive to your needs. They go out of their way to make you sure you feel no pain. Fantastic experience: My experience here was AMAZING! Before you even walk in the doors they make you feel welcomed. They had a little welcome board outside with all the new patients last name on there. When you walk in they immediately acknowledge you. Front staff is very attentive and professional. I had the privilege to be attended by Dr. Chavarriaga and his assistant Veronica. Dr. Chavarriaga is extremely knowledgeable and made the process go by quick and painless. Veronica was very sweet and caring and answered all my questions. They both made what can seem like a nerve wracking procedure into a first class trip. Both made me feel very comfortable and important. Would definitely recommend!!!!!! Loved this place.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here after a visit in a different dentists office where my planned root canal became a more complicated procedure than anticipated. The staff were welcoming and kind. Veronica was very professional and kind. She settled me in and offered me a blanket which went a long way in making me feel comfortable as I do experience anxiety at the dentist. Dr. Chavarriaga explained everything to me and proceeded to perform my root canal expertly. His vast experience was obvious and I experienced no discomfort of any kind even after I was no longer numbed. I am very thankful for the experience.

Fantastic experience: My root canal was done very professionally. The soreness caused by the treatment (which is a natural and expected consequence of this serious procedure) was gone within a week, and now, a couple of weeks later, I am applauding Dr. Chavarriaga (Dr. C.) for the quality work he has done on my tooth. I do not feel any pain or discomfort whatsoever. Every day I thank Dr. C. in my mind and today I decided to write this review to let him know how grateful I am to him for saving my tooth. I trusted Dr. C's expertise and experience from the very beginning. It was important for me to know that he is a professional with good education and many years in service. It was also important to know that most of his patients rated his work highly. Knowing all this, I felt calm and relaxed during the treatment. I trusted that he knew his job inside out, and I was right. I would definitely return to his office if I needed a root canal in the future, and I highly recommend Dr. Chavarriaga to those who are looking for a doctor to do their root canal to the highest standard possible.
