Negative experience: Please do your research and get a few consults before committing. Unfortunately, Dr. Katranji came highly recommended from a friend in the dental industry. I had 3 extractions done with only one implant completed at time of surgery as the other two needed to take the bone and gum graft. I have been mislead with regards to my initial quote, called the office several times with questions and logged each call requesting a call back. Never heard back from anyone. I now have other issues with my nerve being exposed on two other teeth as the gum grafting has receded leaving me in pain and exposing my nerve. Not at all what I signed up for. I try and tell myself give Dr. Katranji the benefit of the doubt….but if you worked on a patient, who needs 3 implants…only had one put in…wouldn’t you ask yourself why that patient isn’t back?? Sadly, I’m trying to get my procedure done but the office is not even calling back with any answers.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mish did a bone graft on me. After the procedure I used ice a lot. I only got one small bruise. She did A fantastic job. You will definitely be pleased with her skill level.

She was responsible for discovering a rare condition I had while I was seeing her for a traditional implant. Had she not recognized this issue I could have suffered a serious health condition. I was able to have my rare condition resolved successfully. I am very grateful for her skill. My wife is also a patient and speaks very highly of Dr. Misch. It is important to note that going to the dentist is my wife's worst nightmare. I would recommend Michigan Implants & Periodontics without reservations.

Positive experience: Was disappointed that i had an appt.which was scheduled several weeks ago with my doctor only to find out that he does not work on the day of my scheduled appt. I made a trip to the office in vain. Don’t know when my next appt will be scheduled.

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Dr. Bunek and staff!! A year ago, I had a bone graft performed due to a tooth defect. The depth of the pocket was severe, so I had concerns the tooth would ultimately have to be extracted and that I’d have to get an implant. Given that I’m younger, losing my tooth was not something that I was thrilled about. Thankfully, the bone graft outcome was a success! I am extremely grateful that Dr. Bunek was able to save my tooth! All staff were friendly and professional. If I ever need a periodontist in the future, I will return to their office.

Negative experience: Last time I was late for 15 mins and I was told that the cleaning process could only last 45 mins as each session only last one hour. Ok, that’s fine. So this time I went there 8 mins earlier. I was called 5 mins later than scheduled time and the cleaning session only last 30 mins including chatting and checking staffs computer. The lady did a terrible job in cleaning my teeth. She barely touched one tooth and moved to next one immediately. The ladies at front desk are very friendly though.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t had my work done yet but the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Dr Jon Misch explained everything that was going to happen and answered all my questions during the evaluation visit.

Positive experience: I have changed my review to 4 stars! Minus one for office manager. But Dr Bunek did a my implants. I went elsewhere and the oral surgeon was totally impressed with my other implants! He even wanted to know who did them! So If you are looking for a meticulous endodontist who makes a beautiful smile, Dr Bunek is your man!

Fantastic experience: The staff was friendly and pleasant. Dr Bunek was very relatable and explained things very well. Very little wait time. I enjoyed the large monitor that displayed the CT scan. Leaving with an estimate of future expenses for upcoming treatment program was a plus. I recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I had gum grafting done yesterday 10/14/24. Shout out to Rachel, Ramona & Christine for their patience and gentleness towards finding my veins for IV. This is always a struggle for me - I'm always nervous about needles because I have tiny veins. It took three times but they managed to help me feel comfortable and not afraid. While I was asleep, Dr. Misch did gum grafting for two of my upper teeth. She is such an expert in this field and I'm so glad I'm under her care. The whole hour flew by as I was sound asleep all bundled up in a cozy blanket. Day 2 : While my face is swollen, the pain is minimal. I'm equipped with all "tools" - antibiotics and ibuprofen, the mouth rinse and toothbrush to take care of my surgical sites. Overall I'm very happy I had this procedure done at Michigan Implants & Periodontics. Gum grafting is scary for most people but I will not hesitate to do this procedure again (this is my second time). Why? I can always trust Dr. Misch, Rachel, Ramona, Christine and Jasmine because they are professional, friendly and caring. Thank you for all your awesomeness!

Positive experience: Really good service until I tried to reschedule (48 hours notice- 2 days, after trying to reach them last week but they were out of the office) and the first question she asked was “are you aware of our new cancellation policy?” Of course I was not aware of the new cancellation policy that is a fee of $75 if you don’t provide a notice of cancellation within 5 days… don’t get sick before your appointment guys… unless you happen to have an extra $75 on hand. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. In my opinion, 2 days is more than enough time to schedule someone else. Just more money for them.

Fantastic experience: The girls working at the reception desk were very nice and friendly. The girl that took care of me for the x-rays was also nice and friendly. I didn't need to see a dentist at that time. Dr. Bunek has always been nice and friendly and always explains what he is going to do and answers all questions. I highly recommend MIP. I have had one implant done by Dr. Bunek and I'm in the process of getting another one.

Fantastic experience: Prompt. Pleasant. Courteous. Professional. The appointment was for a checkup and cleaning. It occurred as scheduled. The receptionists were courteous and attentive. The hygienist was pleasantly interactive and professional and made sure that I understood what she was doing. The dentist took time to explain some dental work that needed to be addressed in future appointments. Highly rated. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: My experience at this periodontist’s office was frustrating and lacked transparency. As a new patient, I specifically inquired about co-pays when making my appointment and was assured there would be none. However, during my visit, I was informed that X-rays would cost $125 because I had already used my quota for the two-year period. I argued that they should obtain these X-rays from my previous periodontist, but they insisted on performing them. They eventually agreed to do the X-rays for free, but this felt like a temporary solution to a bigger issue. After the doctor examined my mouth and provided a treatment plan, I was charged a $122 co-pay at checkout, despite previous assurances. It seemed that their primary concern was securing payment rather than addressing my needs or respecting my time. This lack of coordination and transparency, combined with the uncomfortable X-ray process, left me feeling that this office prioritizes financial gain over patient care. Proceed with caution if considering this practice.

Fantastic experience: I always took wonderful care of my teeth, but I was hurt, and as a result of 5 jaw operations , my mouth and jaw joints are a mess. I also have trigeminal neuralgia, and this condition is extremely painful to the point of me being violent if touched in my lower teeth and or bottom lip. This office has gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable . The doctor is in a league of her own. I adore Dr Misch, I trust her and that's hard for me to do. I've been a victim of bad dental treatments. It cost money but they will do everything they can to help you. Special shout out to Romana. She's a gem...

Fantastic experience: I was absolutely mortified to go in today to get my jaw drilled and get a sock done for an implant! My doctor and the staff were so amazing in keeping me calm, the doctor did a flawless surgery, answered all my questions, and made me feel much more confident in the decision to get the procedure done. Fantastic experience: The purpose of my visit to MIP on Friday was to remove my stitches, determine how the new bone growth was doing and make a minor adjustment to my temporary tray. The dental assistant, Liz, did and excellent job with all 3 of these items.

Fantastic experience: I had gum tissue grafting done at Michigan Implants and Periodontics on 6/11/24 by Dr. Bunek. I was directed to the procedure room moments after my arrival. All aspects of the procedure and post operative care were clearly explained. The procedure itself was done fairly quickly, with no discomfort experienced during the procedure. Although some post-operative discomfort, bleeding and mild pain are to be expected with a tissue graft, less than 24 hours later the bleeding and discomfort have mostly subsided at least for the moment. I look forward to a positive outcome and a successful tissue graft. The entire staff are very attentive and professional.

Fantastic experience: I only have positive opinions about Dr. Bunek and his staff. I am not finished with my implants, but so far Great Work! Friendly, competent and punctual! I would recommend them to anyone. One minor comment, the post-procedure instructions say take 800 mg ibuprofen for pain but the prescription is for 600. Update 4 yrs later, am on my 3rd implant! Still all positives, with one suggestion- patient should have eye protection during procedures.
