Fantastic experience: Was in a world of pain, they got me in quickly and dealt with the issue. As someone who doesn't look forward to the dentist, Westgate Dental may have changed that with this experience.

Positive experience: I think you should get a receipt of service and what your remaining balance is ,a paper receipt for your records so I know how my money and insurance is being used

Special shoutouts to Ashley for her warmth and patience on the phone and in person, Katie for her attention to detail and precision with fittings and solutions for hygiene, Beth as the billing and insurance whiz on your side, and Dawn for the chillest cleaning I have ever received- the only time I’ve ever dosed off during dental work! Seriously, this team is the best- and keep things calm and painless. They even have a service dog, Buddy!

Fantastic experience: Best professional staff I have ever had in a dentist office thank you

Negative experience: Specifically made an appointment to get a filling done since previous filling fell out. All that was done at the appointment was an x ray. I was there for over an hour just to get 1 x ray of the tooth and was told I have to schedule a second appointment to have the filling filled because they didn’t have enough time to fill it. Irritated because on the call when I scheduled the appointment I had already told them the filling came out so why wasn’t my appointment booked for an appropriate time slot for a filling to be completed. I was there for over an hour, which is more than enough time for 1 x ray and a filling to be done. I’m not sure if this was so they could bill me for two separate appointments and get more money or what. This was my first time going here and a terrible first impression. I do not recommend this place and will not be going back to them to have the filling done and will be going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Team at Westgate Dental goes above and beyond of service they provide. My entire family have started going to Westgate Dental. Starting from front desk to techs to Dr. Desai, I am pleased with experience I had. Also Dr. Desai is very involved in each time I visited. She personally follow up of what is being treated/getting care for and discuss with me and advise techs. Also to add this, my observation was across multiple visits, each time very positive experience and not just one visit experience. If anyone looking for a good, honest and reliable dental place, then its Westgate DentaI highly recommend.

Negative experience: Good dental care. The problem is that they are always trying to sell Invisalign to every client. The hygienist is always thorough and caring, but I have to wonder which recommendations are up sells and which are valid.

Negative experience: I am posting from my anonymous Google account because I don't want to have a conversation about my experience, I just want to make sure it is known. First of all, I had to wait an hour past my appointment time and I spent a total of around 3-4 hours at this place, which I certainly did not actually have time for as I had anticipated an average checkup appointment. I don't know if that's typical, but that alone made me not want to come back. Also, make sure you're absolutely clear on what is or is not covered by your insurance before you agree to any treatment at this practice. Additionally, I would recommend getting a second opinion for any procedures they indicate that you need. Without giving identifying information, going to a second dentist saved me at least $3k, as the procedures they identified as urgent were completely unnecessary and they did not accept my insurance. I felt really pressured to make decisions and schedule appointments as quickly as possible. The whole experience left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Fantastic experience: Had to have three wisdom teeth extracted on March 25th. Dr. Bhide and Katie took what would have been am extremely stressful situation and made it as calming and peaceful as possible. Their skilled work let me be in and out quickly with extremely minimal healing time afterwards. Coached on best pain management and diet for allowing uninterrupted healing, it was a dentist appointment that was heads above any other I've had

Fantastic experience: The staff at Westgate Dental is so great. They’re friendly yet know their stuff. I’ve never been to a dentist that is as thorough as Dr. Desai. She is very personable and caring. I was a little ashamed to tell her that I didn’t floss often. I brush my teeth 2-4 times a day, so I decided that was enough. Dr. Desai kindly talked to me about the importance of flossing - not just that it’s important but all of the reasons why. I now floss every night as a part of my bedtime routine (my appointment was about 2 months ago). That’s a win in my book! Wonderful dentist. Wonderful staff all around. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Took me in one hour of call for emergency-pain. Prescribed antibiotics immediately and arranged extraction for the next day to allow antibiotics to reduce swelling and pain I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Dr. Desai is fabulous.

Fantastic experience: The woman at the counter was very nice! She even let me pet the office service dog (Buddy). They were able to get me in early, and were very thorough with my teeth. The doctor was understanding when it came to my fear of needles and even allowed me to schedule a second appointment for my fillings.

Fantastic experience: I'm kinda new to Westgate Dental, although so far I feel good about them. They take enough time in the appointment so that I don't feel like they're in a hurry to get me out the door. Also, I feel like the dentist is taking great care in replacing my dentures. It's a lot better than the last place I use to go to. Here they make you feel important, and respected. I highly recommend coming to Westgate Dental *Update* 8/12/24 Got a peek at what my new dentures are going to look and feel like. They look great, and more natural than what I currently have. I'm so excited. Will update again when I get them. *Update* 5/27/25 I forgot to update that my dentures are an amazing fit and look good too. I had an appointment today to do a filling, see my gums had recieded on this tooth and made it sensitive. I have partial lower dentures as well, and attaches to this tooth. Anyway, When Dr. Bhide came in, he leaned back to educate me on why he thought that the filling was really unnecessary, explained why he felt that way, and left it to me to decide. I decided not to do the filling. I respect his opinion and felt that he is an honorable and fair person. I still love Westgate Dental. They are good at what they do, believe me

I relocated to Ann Arbor last year and was dragging my feet on finding a new local dentist, but when I was suddenly experiencing pain about a week before leaving for a big vacation, I knew I had to do something. Westgate Dental was able to get me in the very next morning. After determining I needed a root canal, Dr. Bhide was able to perform it right then and there and make sure I was squared away with a fixed tooth and a temp filling before my big trip, which was such a relief! The process was painless and Dr. Bhide was super detail-oriented and ensured I was comfortable and informed every step of the way. After returning from my trip, I was fitted for a crown and Stacy at the front desk even reached out to let me know there was a cancellation for a cleaning on the same day so I didn't have to come back for that. Everyone in the office is so nice and professional, and I am so pleased to have found Westgate Dental as my new dentist here in A2. Would recommend to anyone!

My husband also had multiple extractions here as well and it was quick and painless for him. I appreciate how kind the entire staff is right from the receptionist, dental assist to the dentist himself. Special shout out to Dr. Bidhe. He is very soft spoken and compassionate and this helped me relax and trust the process. Highly recommend coming here as you will be in good hands!

Fantastic experience: It was great working with Dr. Bhide and the entire staff at Westgate Dental. They explained the steps in the procedure along with the timeline. Dr. Bhide was very gentle and caring throughout the procedure to remove and replace the bridge.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and this dentist was able to get me in immediately. I had never been there before and in my experience that is an extremely difficult thing to find. When I went there in the morning they were extremely professional and took care of everything I needed, including two tooth extractions. They did this with no notice. In my book that makes them heroes. I have decided to continue with them as my primary dentist from here on out.

Fantastic experience: I found Westgate Dental through a recommendation for my emergency dental situation. I was in need of an extraction for 3 wisdom teeth and was immediately given an appointment for the next day. The receptionists and my hygienist, Em, were all beyond kind and helpful! My dentist, Dr. Bhide was able to fit me into his schedule very quickly, and was great at explaining the procedure and post-op care, while calming my anxiety. I’m very grateful to have found their practice, as this was definitely one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had!

Except most of the insurances and also have payment plans doctor is amazing very professional hardworking resilient and gets to the root of the problem and fixes it for lifetime. Fantastic experience: Root canal was required, was given number of services to make appointment. Called while in office with service stating I could be seen the following month. Conversation was overheard by staff and they said they would call the service to explain circumstances. I was seen by the referred office two days later. Truly pleased with the outcome and assistance. Very pleasant office staff, dentist thoroughly explained the process why implants were not needed. Within three weeks I was fully completed with services.

Negative experience: My intent with this review is to remind people to get second opinions and to take time when considering an intensive and expensive procedure. My experiences with this dental group are full of unfortunate incidents. I am a strict twice-per-year cleaning and exam person, and my previous dentist saw me in the summer of 2023. Six months later, when I became a new patient and came in for my first appointment at Westgate Dental, I was scheduled for many fillings, top and bottom, left and right. When the fillings were completed, 2 of them fell out within 48 hours. A third filling fell out two weeks later. A fourth filling fell out 3 weeks after that. I attribute this to the poor communication between the dentist and the dental assistant. When “air” was asked for, water was provided, and vice versa. When “bond” was asked for, “composite” was provided, and vice versa. Meanwhile, I was told I needed a night guard and I scheduled an appointment to come in for a fitting. When I came in for said appointment, I was told that instead of the night guard, I needed Invisalign treatment, a $5,000 procedure. I trusted the dentist to treat me with necessary procedures, so I signed the contract and handed over the first payment. Over the course of the next 3-4 weeks, I researched more thoroughly by talking to several (3) other dental professionals and found that the Invisalign was not absolutely necessary. By the time I was able to discover this new information, the aligners were already waiting for me and I was on the hook to pay for those aligners. I believe I was pushed into treatment that was not necessary. I believe I was lied to for Westgate Dental’s financial gain. I take responsibility for entering into the procedure immediately following the dentist’s advice instead of taking time to consider whether or not to get the prescribed treatment; however, I believe coercion is used at Westgate Dental, and the concept of a second or third opinion or time to consider was never presented. My child also has a negative history with this dental practice, with similar scare tactics used on them. Fair warning… 1. Get second opinions 2. Take your time

Fantastic experience: I feel so comfortable going here! They all are so nice! I am usually scared of Dentist. But not here! I highly recommend WestGate Dental to anyone. They do a good job cleaning, and the Dentist there are amazing too!

Fantastic experience: Awesome dental experience. Staff is experienced and very friendly. Dr. Desai listened to my concerns and addressed them in a timely matter. I highly recommend this office, especially if you have any dental anxiety or fears from a past experience. They make you feel comfortable and offer nitrous oxide to help you relax and get through your dental procedures if needed.

Fantastic experience: My experiences with Westgate Dental have been very positive. Their highly qualified and skilled dentists are very thorough, and they take time to explain procedures and answer questions candidly. When you contact the practice or arrive in the office, the admin staff (especially Beth) are wonderful, kind and helpful. They are also very knowledgeable about dental insurance coverage and will figure out what out-of pocket expenses are involved and will always give a you a quote in writing. Fantastic experience: Amazing. I have been scared of the dentist my entire life, so much so that I’ve neglected my dental care (in terms of cleanings, exams, etc.) I am a pretty complex patient and I am always treated with respect, kindness, and full explanations. They do such a good job of making me feel at ease and heard and remember my name and specific things regarding my care each time I’m here. They also are on top of updated information and take into account the whole picture of health to recommend and assess dental care. I’ve had a variety of procedures and no complaints throughout every step of the way. They are also so knowledgeable and thorough about insurance and insurance coverage which is honestly rare at any medical facility. Highly recommend and I wouldn’t hesitate to send someone here!

Positive experience: Update: I’m very pleased to say that after this review the clinic offered to fix the crown and cover my portion of the billing. Thank you! Although it’s a very friendly clinic I had a bad experience. I had a ‘permanent’ crown fit that fell out 4 times within 10 months. Nothing was done to help further secure the crown to the remaining tooth, they just glued it back in over and over. After the forth time I was offered a ‘discount’ to fix the problem and that was nearly what I paid at the start. $500 out of pocket after insurance. I wanted to support a woman owned and operated clinic but sadly the work I received was poor.

Fantastic experience: We’ve always been treated with kindness and respect by the employees here and brought back promptly to be seen without having to sit in the waiting area long. My son normally has dentist anxiety and he has always had a pleasant experience here as well.

Fantastic experience: The trip here was amazing! It was my first time going to a dentist in a while and I was a little embarrassed going in, but the staff there made for a super comfortable environment. There was absolutely no judgement in the lapse of my dental care or how my teeth looked. The dentist was very honest and helpful in her answers. She addressed my concerns and teeth with diligence. The staff were also very intune with my insurance in what the final cost will be for future projects. Overall, great experience and, believe it or not, I actually look foward to returning to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: From the very beginning I felt such a warm welcome. Kaleigh was so sweet and kind to let me know everything from the beginning was going to be ok. Stacey was so kind. The hygienist, Ariana was wonderful and so gentle. The dentist Dr. Desai was so sweet and kind, I will definitely be back.

Negative experience: This place will regularly tell you your bill is X amount and than charge you more. They are deceptive in their billing practices. They will also threaten legal action against you if you don't agree to meet with them in person and change your feedback. I am pretty sure this is illegal.....despite how you word it. Complaints have been filed with the attorney generals office of MI, and the FTC. Nothing will probably come of it but this is all being documented. Take care!

Negative experience: This place has sketchy billing practices. Will regularly tell you things are "covered" and than insurance bounces back that only 50% is and you have to pay the rest out of pocket. Has happened more than once. This should PROBABLY be figured out prior to the appointment you would think. Maybe $400 over 2 separate appointments isn't a lot to other people in Ann Arbor but it is for me and my wife and I don't like unexpected bills. 0/5 would not recommend. EDIT: This god awful place sent me a follow up letter about this very feedback! They very passively aggressively threatened legal action if I didn't have a follow up conversation with them and change the feedback. There is actually laws against this. This is all being reported to the FTC. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has a lot of anxiety about dentists, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my 28 years of life. Everyone was super friendly and each person was very informative about what was going on, what to expect, showed me all my teeth scans and made sure I saw and understood what they see and what the treatment plan is moving forward. I will definitely be back, and highly recommend anyone considering checking them out to do it!

Fantastic experience: I am writing this review with much much gratitude for everyone at Westgate Dental - specifically the ones I met are Kaylee & Beth at the front desk, Adriana my hygienist and Dr. Desai. Let me tell you why. You see, I am one of many with gag reflex and have anxiety of going to the dentist. In 2015 I moved to a new job and city and life got crazy busy, covid and I knew I have been dodging the dentist for 8 years!!!! Mind you, I brush, floss, Listerine and oil pulling like crazy. But that is not a replacement for dental checkups and cleanings. This year, being new in town to be near family during a life transition, I finally took the courage and called them on Monday morning. Kaylee was so empathetic about my sharing and encouraged me to come in for a cleaning that same day. I said yes and followed through. You cannot know the relief as I progressed from the xrays to the cleanings (Adriana, very patient with the many rest stops I needed) and Dr. Desai giving me the good news that besides quite a few updates on fillings and a return appt for gum check, no major treatments were needed! I am writing such a detailed review because I know if you have dental anxiety and searching for a non-judgmental place, I understand your pain and I urge you to give Westgate Dental a call. Facing my fears this week was such a pivotal point for me. And you know what? It really was not bad. Thank you Westgate Dental Staff, you really helped me with this 8 year hurdle and I will stay on track this time. See you at my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: Another great appointment at Westgate Dental yesterday. Final treatment in a series that has lasted over the past several months. As always, the staff is friendly and professional. Dr Desai gives the BEST shots around! My highest recommendation:"Easy and pain free". Ariana did a great job for me this morning. Once again, Dr. Desai chatted with me about additional dental work. She always gives me her professional opinion, leaving the decision to me, and does so in a friendly manner, without any undue pressure. It is very easy to talk to her about these things.

Fantastic experience: i cannot recommend Dr. Desai enough. she and my hygienist Lori provided one of the best dental experiences i have ever had. i have very sensitive teeth and frequent cavities. i had a filling fall out last night (done by a different dentist) and was able to get in to have it resolved this morning. it was the most painless filling i’ve ever had done, and Dr. Desai and Lori were quick, effective, friendly, and did a great job. i will be returning.

Fantastic experience: Westgate Dental is a remarkable establishment all the way around, from greeting at the door to being prepped for my appointment. I was in town for a summer job and unfortunately my tooth broke. Westgate helped me get an appointment right away. Once Dr. Desai took a look at the situation she gave me the options and allowed me to make my decision and be comfortable with what I was able to do for the time being. I commend Dr. Desai and her associate because they made sure to keep me updated as the procedure was going on and that I was well taken care of during the tough and longer than normal procedure. Even with needing stitches and post-op care, the recovery and healing process was by far one of the least painful and smoother processes compared to previous dental procedures I've had back home. Even though I am not a local patient Westgate dental staff was very hospitable and resourceful. ~Your Long Distance Patient =]

Fantastic experience: Westgate Dental is the best. Dr. Desai and the whole staff do great work and have treated me so well through the whole process of getting my dental health in order after years of not being proactive in doing so. They’re efficient and careful, and my two root canals and multiple fillings were all pain-free. I don’t have dental insurance, but they gave me a very accurate accounting of the overall cost of treatment from the start, and they’ve scheduled treatments in a way to reduce my costs. Fantastic experience.

Fantastic experience: I recently started going to Westgate Dental after my husband established care with them. The staff at Westgate Dental are so incredibly kind and understanding, as well as non-judgmental about the state of my teeth. They also were able to successfully extract all of my wisdom teeth in office so I did not have to be referred to an oral surgeon! If you are looking for a dental office that treats you like you’re family, Westgate Dental is the perfect office for you!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Desai and her team have been wonderful with my children, treating them with love and making them feel comfortable, even with wisdom tooth extraction. It's an excellent practice and I highly recommend Westgate Dental. Not to mention that they managed to see me for what I thought was a dental emergency with only 15 minutes notice. Absolutely the best dental practice around.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff was amazing, the office is amazing and I loved the videos while sitting in the chair. I had 2 broken molar's at the gum and I was really concerned. They got to work on me and the whole thing was basically pain free. I'm sitting on my couch at home now 4 hour's later and really don't need the Tylenol tonight... Thanks so much guys.See you again.
