Fantastic experience: Dr. Banos and team is absolutely amazing. I have significant anxiety around dental visits and am neurodivergent, so going to the dentist can be extremely overwhelming for me. Dr. Banos was patient, gentle, and explained everything before doing it, which helped me feel calm and in control the entire time. She never rushed me and truly listened to my concerns. The whole office feels welcoming and supportive, not intimidating. If you’re nervous about the dentist, I genuinely can’t recommend her enough. I’m so grateful to have found this practice.

Fantastic experience: My little Jack Russell Terrier got ahold of my uppers when I fell asleep in the afternoon. She managed to crunch 2 important pieces off the dentures. I hurried to Dr. Banos and wonderful staff here from the front office to the lab and they managed to reconstruct them perfectly to their previous snug fit. They even fine tuned them so they won't "whistle." THANK YOU, TEAM!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here (along with my husband) since 2020 and immediately knew I’d be staying. I just came for a simple x-ray and exam as I hadn’t been to the dentist in many years, and they asked if I’d like to be scanned for free to see what my smile could potentially look like if I got Invisalign. After struggling with hating my smile my entire life and covering my face whenever I smiled or laughed, I saw what my smile could look like and almost cried. I talked with someone there about what the cost would be if I got Invisalign and couldn’t afford it up front however they helped me apply for care credit and I was approved to do 1 of 3 different payment plans. I happily accepted it and that was the BEST DECISION EVER. The process went great and they were so helpful through it all. I now smile all the time and LOVE my smile. I believe they offer a different brand of clear aligners now, but I could be wrong. Everyone is so nice from the office staff, dental assistants, hygienists, Dentists and billing. I refer everyone to come here!!

Fantastic experience: was there for my wife's appointment, staff was very friendly. bit of a wait tome but the office communicated that when we got there. My wife has a fear of dentistry so she had a lot of anxiety going in but Dr Banos made her feel very comfortable. Only thing i would say is there was a strong smell of urine while we were sat in the office going over the cost of her dental work.

Negative experience: Went in with an abscess tooth, they wanted to pull 3 teeth.. what?? That was early this morning. Well let’s just say I still have all my teeth, I still have the abscess with no antibiotics or pain meds they said they would give me. That’s okay if something happens to me, please blame them

Fantastic experience: The staff made me feel safe and welcome. I was extremely worried and scared when I found out i needed to get all my top teeth removed. But the staff explained everything and made me feel secure and made sure I was okay every step of the way. They helped with financing and were very patient with me. All the staff member were amazing! Fantastic experience: Everyone is super sweet there, they explain everything so you don't have any Questions. The only thing that bothered me was the wait time! Fantastic experience: When I came for my appointment everyone was super friendly the front staff, dr.banos and betsy, she was very helpful in calming down for my anxiety and fear of dentist, she even brought me an ice pack and helped me calm down and stayed in the room with me until the very end, I would recommend this dental place to someone who has anxiety of dentist. They’re very good at what they do and make everything so much easier for me.

Fantastic experience: I don’t like going to the dentist, it’s always an overwhelming experience. Not here at Aspen Dental located on Walton street in Rockford IL. My first visit I had complained about terrible pain that I had been putting off for so long. The staff went above and beyond and made sure that I was well taken care of. We came up with a plan and here i am two weeks later overly joyed with the outcome of the plan we came up with. I no longer have to worry about pain. And it was extremely affordable and fast. Negative experience: Set a follow up appointment for Friday 12 -19-2025 at 2 pm from being in the Emergency room on Tuesday 12-16-2025 Upon getting there the doors were closed n locked no one was there n wasn’t supposed to be closed til 5 pm I didn’t get a call or nothing informing me of these actions which made me travel all the way across town glad you guys went my dentist They need to be shut down because how can a establishment working with the state mistreat the patient be4 gaining a patient I will be reporting this to my medical insurance as fraud n possible identity thief since I gave up so much valuable information

Negative experience: I was a patient here back in August and for a little while after that, I was told I had periodontal disease and being the person I am, I belived them and got all of these expensive cleanings done. Eventually the cleanings got to be too much so of course I canceled my appointment and went somewhere else that was much cheaper. On top of that, the new dental office was bewildered when I told them I had periodontal disease and had all this work done. My new dentist said I did not have periodontal disease and just had gingivitis. So im not overly thrilled to find out that I was misinformed and payed money for services that were at times painful and incredibly expensive. And while the staff was always polite and professional and the place was always clean when I was in, it doesnt make up for the time, money, the credit card debt, and the PTO I had to take off of work for the treatments. On top of that, I was told I would need wisdom teeth out, which was confirmed by my new dentist, to get it done with Aspen was way too expensive which was going to be over 5k while at my new dental office about 2k. So I feel as if Aspen is just overcharging to overcharge. So please, to anyone reading this, please get a 2nd opinion for any treatment, dental or not.

Negative experience: ⭐ 2/5 I visited the Aspen Dental in Rockford, IL, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The location itself is nice, clean, and well-decorated — the waiting area looks welcoming, especially with the seasonal decorations and comfortable seating. The staff was polite, but the biggest issue for me was the waiting time. They were clearly understaffed, but that’s something that should be communicated right away when a patient checks in. Instead, I waited much longer than expected with no updates, which really affected the visit overall. For a clinic that promotes convenience and walk-ins, clearer communication would make a huge difference. There’s always room for improvement, and I hope they work on better staffing and transparency so future visits can match the quality of their location.

Negative experience: After 2 years i thought i would give this dentist another try. I had an appointment for 4:00 and arrived at 3:50 and they said “oh your appointment was at 3:30 we won’t be able to fit the whole exam in today” I was verbally told, have the appointment written down by the office and received text reminders about my 4:00 appointment. So of course i wasn’t seen again after being there a week prior when they said they couldn’t confirm my insurance. Just don’t waste your time with this dentist office.

Negative experience: It would have been a great visit but if you don’t have dentures from aspen dental don’t bother cause they will only work on your dentures if they came from aspen dental . Even though I have a brand new pair of dentures never used they instead quoted me 15,000 dollars to get new dentures and two posts put in on the bottom. I have never seen such outrageous pricing in my life.

Fantastic experience: Been to my initial appointment and now today a periodontal cleaning+tooth extraction. Everybody treated me so kindly! Both hygienist's I met were both so reassuring but absolutely kept it real about my teeth. The extraction was easy and the dentist did a beautiful job preparing me for every single tug and bit of pressure! The true star of the show for me was CRYSTAL! She did my Xrays during my first appointment and was the assistant during my extraction, SO SWEET! One of those people you immediately feel comfortable around and she was sooo reassuring during and after the extraction! 1000000% total difference than I've had at any dentist. Fantastic experience: This is the only dentist I will go to. They've done my work for years and I've never had a single complaint. The MD they have now is phenomenal, as it's her assistant. I've moved out of state since starting with them but still make the drive on account of the service provided. Highly recommend if you have the funds. They are quite expensive compared to some of the other dentists. Worth every penny.

Negative experience: They fraudulently put my debit card info on my adult son's finance bill and won't do anything to correct it. I now have to dispute the charges through my bank and report them to the federal trade commission for fraud

Fantastic experience: I swear I have Never in my 67 years of life, have met a Group of People who was so Compassionate and Caring about how I felt. So Professional, they take that Hippocratic Oath of Do No Harm seriously. I am a big baby terrified of dentist due to bad handling previously in my hometown. I was shaky because of so much pain due to infection from a broken tooth that I was trying to self medicated. My fault. I was treated as a walk in because I was in so much pain, I felt like running in front of a bus to end it all. I was jacked up, I think I sat and moaned for about 8 mins my face swollen and a headache from hell. From the time I went back to exam and X-ray . I knew in my soul I was in the right place. The Doctor was amazing showed me everything and explained about I had to get rid of infection prior my upcoming shoulder replacement I told her I was scared of sepsis, well that's just where I was headed. But I am there and we were gonna head it off at the pass. They are going to notify my Surgeon as to line of Care. I have never felt so SAFE. I look forward to going back in a week to see how these antibiotics worked. I am in no pain after 3 days of no sleep in constant pain and finally can bend my Head down with no dizziness. I thank Swedes hospital referring me to them.Aspen Dental actually saved my life today. If you're are a chicken like me, this is the place to go to. I hope this testimony will help others If you got problems, this is the place to go to. I Thank God for this place and the Staff in this place. Quit suffering and self medicating, praying death to a leave pain. Just Go to Aspen and Be ministered to by The Angels who walk amongst us. God Bless you Thank you Aspen for saving me.

Negative experience: Had to change 4 times and kept getting pushed back every month for just cleaning. Told me couple days before my appointment that there was no one that can clean my teeth that day which makes no sense. They did a good job but seems like they don't have much workers if I got pushed back every month for just cleaning

Fantastic experience: Staff was very welcoming and let me know what was happening every step of the way. The Doc was very nice and to the point which I loved. Negative experience: Extremely Disappointing Experience, Proceed with Caution I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share this experience so others can make an informed decision. I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time, and then another 30 minutes just to pay and leave. The office was noticeably dirty, and the rooms were open, which meant I could hear every private conversation happening with the patient next to me. Not exactly reassuring when it comes to privacy or professionalism. I specifically told them not to charge my insurance because I planned to go elsewhere after the bad experience and take advantage of their $30 special for exam and X-rays. Despite that, they charged both my insurance and me directly, without my consent. I only discovered this after visiting a new dentist who informed me of the double billing. When I called to resolve the issue, I was told they couldn’t remove my insurance from my profile, and that if I wanted to continue without using insurance, the visit would be over $200. That completely contradicts the deal they advertise, and honestly, it feels deceptive. This place felt unprofessional, unsafe, and untrustworthy. I strongly encourage you to look past the glowing reviews and read the ones that raise red flags because they’re telling the truth. Do yourself a favor and choose a different provider for your dental care.

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient here and I hadn't been in to see a dentist in a bit. I was a bit nervous about the state of my mouth and was nervous about how I would be treated. I am happy to say that from my first visit I was met with warmth and care, and all the visits I have had have gone well. Chelsea was my hygienist and demonstrated excellent levels of care. Dr. Lesly Baños has been exceptional in her treatment. I needed multiple fillings and I could tell that Dr. Baños was dedicated to making sure my bite was not affected. The assisting staff is also really kind and always checking in on you while you wait. Coming to Aspen Dental has alleviated my anxieties because I know the staff are caring. Would definitely recommend this place if you're able to come here.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so nice everytime I went in. There were some scheduling issues on my end a few times and they did an amazing job of accommodating me. They were incredible about controlling my pain and when I had a swollen face from a bad infection they fit me in immediately. I absolutely recommend this location to everyone. I know Aspen has a bad rep, but I’m here to tell you that I truly had the most amazing and gentle experience here.

Positive experience: The people at Aspen dental really care about their patients. I had a cleaning the day after my husband had his evaluation. Everyone asked about him and were genually concerned. They explained all the processes and I never felt rushed. Only downside was they seem short staffed so if you dont have patience it might not be the place for you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lesley Banos and all the crew were great. Dr. Banos explained my treatment extensively and answered all my questions. All were very pleasant in the office and did great job. A decent visit compared to some of the other dental offices I had visited.

Fantastic experience: Great staff. Very friendly would highly recommend. The dr i seen today was very gentile with me as I had just had teeth by another place. They do instant healing dentures I will have to wait about two weeks for mine but if they had been in the loop of my tooth extraction appointments then they would have had them made for me to pick up the day all my teeth were removed so I'd have a smile instead already

Positive experience: The dentist and staff is really nice. I probably would have given them 5 stars, however, if you are in a hurry for dentures don't expect this to be fast and easy. 3 weeks for a bottom plate seems a little unreasonable. They advertise "Get a better-fitting denture in as fast as a day with our onsite labs." If I had known how long it would have actually of taken, I would have probably have shopped around. Patience is not my strongest virtue.
Positive experience: Staff and dentist was great. Thought prices were high even with insurace. I was informed of co-pay and then a $200.00 package for tooth paste, electric tooth brush, mouth wash and water flosser. Of course i declined and do undertsand buisnesses make money off of such products. The normal person cant afford the treatments. When leaving i was told total cost to get just a few teeth special cleaning and the rest of my teeth regular cleaning and 2 fillings was 700.00 . Stated i have bacteria in my few teeth and needed all the addtional stuff. Dentists dont make people in need of dental work obtainable with such costs.

Negative experience: Please be advised - They utilize a national billing service that supports balance billing. Balance billing is illegal in Illinois. Know your rights and call your insurance to get the correct amounts, it takes nearly a year to get the credit back if you over pay.
