Fantastic experience: Dr Lisa and Dr Tina have been taking care of our family’s dental health for about 18 years. Most recently, Dr Lisa helped me realign my teeth with Invisaline to help make my teeth, especially my back teeth, last for my lifetime. They have a very caring team and I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: There is 2 sides to a story but basically my husband lost a tooth off his dentures that were made in Kansas. These dentures were a problem from day one but not his first set. We found Waukee Family Dentistry when another tooth fell out. So he had a first visit and talked about new dentures. They were supposed to email us their financial plan we could purchase . Never received an email. We decided to purchase dental insurance and wait 6 months to use it. In the meantime he had a follow up appointment which we went to and they told us we did not have an appointment. I attend his appointments since he has memory problems. So they found the appointment was made but put in the year 2030 something. Weird mistake. Then the next tooth fell out and they had about 3 excuses why they couldn't fix it. They were going on vacation. So we had go back to Freestate dental or find another place for an emergency fix. We did not have an appointment. But we did go up to see if they could help us out since he needed it fixed right away. They said they would call us if they had an opening. Never got a phone call. Then the letter comes saying we need to part ways. I think because he has problems dentures, a lot of titanium in his face and jaw due to an accident in a1996 that it was too much for them to handle. Never been fired by a dentist before. I think there might have been a new receptionist through all this because whoever we talked to was not very knowledgeable and had to keep asking questions. We both were very frustrated at the front desk.

Fantastic experience: Waukee Family Dentistry is the best I have ever been to. They are very knowledgeable and do excellent work. I have never had a bad experience there. I highly recommend them. Both Tina and Lisa are exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Have been going here almost as long as it's existed. Drs Lisa and Tina do a great job, offer prompt service and are always available in emergencies. Add to this the entertainment factor of their personalities and it's no wonder I actually enjoy going to the dentist. It's like going to visit friends. The front desk staff are always welcoming, friendly and efficient. Just wish the practice provided implants and was closer. But, it's worth the travel 2 hrs travel time.

Fantastic experience: No one likes to go to the dentist, but these ladies made me feel very comfortable, even with my PTSD:) They were very thorough. They took 3D pictures of my teeth. AMAZING! They explained where my teeth needed extra care. I have been using a dentist where I'm shuffled in, then shuffled out, or left waiting indefinitely for the dentist to inspect the work of my dental hygienist. I am VERY uncomfortable just waiting in an empty room. Flight or fight takes over, so I leave. I love it when people make you feel important to them and the success of their business :) Thank you for the positive experience ladies❣️ See you in 6 months

You can tell they truly care about their patients and their comfort. The receptionists are very kind. It's easy to book appointments. I had to be seen in an emergency and they were able to fit me in right away. Literally have nothing but good things to say.

She has made many recommendations- most of which I followed but some I didn’t due to my age, budget and current state. She’s always thorough and respectful. Fantastic experience: Dr. Lisa Kurtz discovered in her tooth prep for a crown that the tooth might not be viable because of a crack running through it. Insteading of going ahead with the crown, and possibly losing the tooth later, she advised me to see an endodontist to get a second opinion. She knows my teeth history, since I have been going to her for years, and was looking out for my budget rather than just her income.
