Fantastic experience: Everyone was extremely nice! I am a previous patient of the Carter/Sledge Clinic . I had been a patient of his for over 19 years . So I was a little nervous about changes. I can say I have watched the staff change but the professionalism, knowledge and more over the personality and politeness has NOT! Yes 5 stars for my prep for new crown , temporary crown placement and sizing for partials on yesterday! Dr Weeks is all right with me!

Negative experience: I’m not sure how this organization has 4.8 stars, considering they’re incapable of scheduling. Subsequently I don’t think I want to trust them with sharp instruments in my mouth or processing billing information either. Incompetence within an organization is generally systemic. I was supposed to have an appointment at 1 o’clock on April 27, only to arrive and be told that I rescheduled my appointment to May 18, which I absolutely did not do. Of course, there’s no avenue to remediate the error in the immediate term, and even though I did nothing at all to create this problem, I’m the one who suffers the Outcome. So thank you to Lake Harbour Dental for wasting my time, costing me an hour of PTO, and making it so easy to not choose you as a provider. You can try to write this off as a mistake or a scheduling error or whatever it is that you need to tell yourself. But in the medical, dental, optometry settings, I would expect much more attention to detail.

Fantastic experience: The practice was in network for my Mutual of Omaha policy. I had no prior experience with them. Dr. Sledge and Bonnie were very pleasant and kind. I had not been to a dentist in quite a while. They did not make me feel embarrassed at all. She provided camera images of the inside of mouth and x-ray images too. I was certain that the recommended work was necessary. The price was very reasonable for the work I needed. I highly recommend Dr. Sledge.

Fantastic experience: As a registered nurse for over 47 years, you learn what defines an outstanding medical professional. It could be that he or she is an outstanding diagnostician; or perhaps have a superb bedside manner; or advanced training and education beyond that which is required. I’ve met many of those in my lifetime. But the ultimate in my humble opinion, is the desire to teach the patient both care AND prevention; educate them in the disease process, so they can return to their world prepared and knowledgeable. Incredibly, this practice has it all. But it is not by accident. After several visits it is apparent these folks have been hand selected and trained exquisitely. Incredible dental practice !!! A special shout out to both Rachel and Dr Carter AND front desk staff who found my CIGNA dental insurance online in just under about 2 minutes. No card no policy number no group ID!!!! I knew I had it I just have never found it LOL

Fantastic experience: I found out about Lake Harbor Dental from my husband after I moved here from Florida and was looking for a new dentist. Dr. Weeks and his entire team have been incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful from the very beginning. They even got me in quickly and fitted me for a new night guard after my dog chewed up my original one, which I really appreciated. Over time, I ended up needing both a root canal and an extraction, and Dr. Weeks handled everything with patience and care. He explained each step clearly, checked in often, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. The office staff was just as wonderful. I had a frustrating insurance issue due to a spelling error with my last name, and they were beyond understanding. They were patient, helpful, and genuinely focused on helping instead of making the situation more stressful. I am truly grateful for the care I received and would absolutely recommend Lake Harbor Dental to anyone looking for a dentist who genuinely cares.

Fantastic experience: Hannah explained everything she was going to do perfectly. The place is clean, and they provide a blanket in case you get cold. Dr. Weeks is fabulous with explaining several options to go over before he did anything.

I really appreciate how detailed they are and how willing they are to work with you. I have been to three dentist offices for them to tell me that nothing was wrong with my tooth. I come here and they automatically find what it is in seconds. I highly recommend this dentist office. I will forever be a patient here

Fantastic experience: Amazing all the way through! I live an hour away and ran a few minutes late, and normally places will be rude, but the front desk staff was very kind! I saw Dr Sledge and her nurse came and called me back with a big smile and was very nice. Once I got in the room, Dr Sledge came in and was incredibly thorough! She asked me questions about my child’s eating habits, how her day to day looked, and very thoroughly assessed her. She explained everything to me so well, too. And to top it off, they were QUICK! I’m talking 30 minutes or less, in and out. I most definitely recommend!!!

My 3 year old loved his dentist appointment so much that he has been talking about being a “doctor dentist” for the rest of the day, and even went to sleep holding a handful of flossers they gave him Hannah, the dental hygienist, and Dr Weeks are both incredible with kids.

Negative experience: Do not go to this dentist, they lied about being in my network, and they were not . The insurance company said for them to call them back and discuss the bill . She said I am not going to discuss and overcharged me on everything& went in for a free cleaning, which they did not do, only to send me bill for over 200 for x-rays & evaluation and not even cleaning my teeth. Discussing the bill and she hung up on me and said the bill is the bill.

Negative experience: I came to this office after switching employer insurance. If you’re considering this dentist, I strongly recommend doing thorough research beforehand—I wish I had. Initially, I had a positive experience. They had plenty of availability and got me in quickly. At my first visit for a consult and cleaning, they offered to fix a cavity on the spot, which I appreciated. However, after completing their treatment plan, I began experiencing pain and discomfort in one of the fillings they had done. I returned to have it adjusted, but two months later, the same filling broke while I was eating. When I went back in pain, they informed me that the tooth was fractured and would likely need a root canal. Instead of addressing the infection risk, they decided to place a crown first to see if a root canal could be avoided. They put on a temporary crown but did not prescribe antibiotics. Within 48 hours, I developed an abscess that spread up my gumline, landing me in the ER for emergency oral surgery to remove the tooth. I sincerely believe the staff are good people, but I didn’t feel the level of care was as intentional as it should have been. At the very least, prescribing antibiotics could have prevented my infection from worsening, saving me unnecessary pain and medical expenses. Now, I’ve spent $500 on a crown I can’t use, plus the cost of an ER visit, emergency surgery, and post-op care. If you can avoid coming here, I strongly recommend doing so. If you’re someone they choose to prioritize, you might have a better experience—but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for me.

Negative experience: My daughter came here to have her tooth pain examined and was given such negligent care she was in the ER 48 hours later. This office has not been responsive or proactive in offering resolution, and it causes me to question the quality of care they offered and continue to offer.

Negative experience: I originally used Carter Sledge and then it has since changed to Lake Harbor Dental. My last visit I needed a crown and scheduled my next cleaning. A few months later I received a text that said my next appointment was cancelled. I asked why and they said I had an unpaid balance. I called and spoke to someone at the front desk who said they sent three notices to my address, but I didn't receive any mail from them - I have USPS Informed Delivery that shows no mail from them during this timeframe. There were also no other types of notification - which is strange because I always get texts about my appointments and to leave them reviews. They sent my account over to collections and provided no other means to resolve this with them. I've had numerous dental procedures there and have always paid on time and even had credit on my account at several points. I don't think this would have happened if it was still Carter Sledge so it's time to find a new dentist.

Negative experience: I came here for a routine cleaning because my original dentist is always booked ( Ware Dental Associates). What a mistake it was ‍♀️. The staff is very friendly and inviting here. I disliked that I was not able to get a routine cleaning. Instead, I was presented with a bill of $1,000+ to get a deep cleaning (that my insurance does not cover). Not sure why this place expected me to pay for something that comes with the routine cleaning. Didn't have to do a deep clean, but could have just done a regular cleaning until I was able to come back at a later time. Very disappointed!!

Positive experience: The staff are always friendly and they have become more professional in their interactions over the last couple of years, so the environment feels inviting. The new dentist is friendly, but each time I visit he has proposed cosmetic improvements to my teeth. I interpret his suggestion as a priority for me spending money (not covered by insurance) to make him more money. I interpret it this way based on the way he talks about or invites this option by repeating himself and continuing to talk about it even when I’ve said no. Although friendly, he has also come across as less focused on my dental care and more on himself.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Sledge and her staff! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Sledge corrected my son’s tongue tie and lip tie. First she explained the procedure, and then answered any question I had, making me feel completely normal. She was very down to Earth and easy to talk to. After his procedure, she not only explained the after care stretches, but actually showed me how to do them on him so I knew exactly what to be looking for. I was very nervous about my newborn having a procedure done, but I would do it again in a heart beat with how comforting and professional she and her staff are. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sledge and her clinic!

Fantastic experience: I would like to say that today my experience with Lake Harbor Dental service was very pleasant. All of my hygienist and both Doctors on staff today gave me VIP treatment. Negative experience: Last visit wasn’t what my experience used to be which was never having a problem after getting any kind of work done . A couple of things occurred that I wasn’t pleased with but I tried to stick it out after being a loyal patient of almost 20 years. Sadly I will be seeking another dental practice.

Negative experience: The staff was dishonest and told me that Dr. Carter was retired. They scheduled my appointments knowing Dr. Carter was no longer there and no one called to let me know before my appointment. They also didn’t tell me he was no longer there when I was at my appointment. Another Doctor came in the room and I asked for Dr. Carter, that’s when they told me that he was retired. Dr. Carter is not retired. I was suppose to get my next set of orthodontic trays that day but they didn’t fit. Thank goodness I’ve found Dr. Carter and he is still my dentist!!!
