Negative experience: Bad dentists, push too many procedures to get money

Fantastic experience: Dr. Park was amazing. I had a cleaning and additional treatment done here, and I was extremely impressed by how thorough and attentive he was. I’ve visited several dental offices before, but this one gave me the strongest sense of trust and professionalism. This office was very clean and the receptionist was kind and welcoming. Overall, it was an excellent experience!

The entire team is incredibly friendly, the office is very clean, and the technology they use is very modern and high-tech. We’ve had several procedures done here including a root canal, deep cleaning, fillings, and a mouth guard, and every experience has been excellent. Everything is explained clearly and Dr. Park is fantastic! We’re very happy we found this office and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed — Patient Mistreatment I have been a patient of The Dental Way and trusted Dr. Parker with my dental care. Recently, I went in to replace an old cap. He removed the cap, placed a temporary, and later fitted a permanent one. From the start, something felt wrong. I returned multiple times due to pain and issues with the tooth. Despite adjustments and antibiotics, the problems continued until I was referred to a root canal specialist. The specialist was surprised that Dr. Parker attempted to cap the tooth at all, as it appeared cracked internally and was unsalvageable. In the end, I spent $550 on a crown that never should have been placed. When I asked for reimbursement, I was told I could only receive “store credit.” As a loyal patient, this response is unacceptable. I am a single mother, currently unemployed, and trusted this office with my care. To perform unnecessary work and then refuse to refund me is not only unethical, but also shows a lack of compassion and accountability. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge others to think carefully before trusting this practice.

Fantastic experience: A friend recommended Dr. Park and he is honestly the best. I love that Dr. Park makes sure you're not in any discomfort or pain throughout the procedure. He's also really fun to talk to about life in general. All around great dentist and the staff he has there are great too. Everyone is very accommodating and friendly.

Fantastic experience: STOP! And read this! The Dental Way is the BEST dental office in North Jersey. Our family of 4 drive 25 minutes to this office because the Doctors and the Staff are the very BEST. Dr. Park is a fantastic dentist and we have been going to him (and his staff) for about 8 years now!! Tasha at the front desk is exceptional! She is so competent! The other Doctors and hygienists are fantastic! They help out when it's busy, and they do all the services you need. So kind and warm, and you feel so confident as a patient that they truly care about you. It's everything you want in a dental office. Let's face it, none of us like going to the dentist, but since we have to, why not go the the very BEST for your teeth, for you and your family! You will not be disappointed. Trust this review! As we never write a review, but we have to in this case, because they are the VERY BEST!!!!

Negative experience: My son is having s bad time dealing with this office… I do not recommend.

Negative experience: I'm writing as the wife of the patient to share how disappointing and frustrating this situation has been. I’ve tried reaching out, but I keep being told that the insurance didn’t cover anything, even though the claim clearly shows it was paid. At this point, I don’t know what else to do.

Negative experience: I regret to say that my experience with this dental office has been far from satisfactory due to issues with the administrative staff. While the doctors themselves are skilled, professional, and not at fault in this matter, the same cannot be said for the front desk receptionist, who also appears to handle billing. I was required to pay upfront for my dental implant procedure. However, after the insurance company reimbursed them, the office failed to refund my payment. Despite my attempts to address this, I was met with indifference, which left me feeling that my business was not valued. Additionally, I had clearly communicated the importance of having the implant placed by a specific date. Unfortunately, despite the implant being ready for installation, the receptionist failed to schedule the appointment in time. This oversight caused unnecessary delays and frustration, making it apparent that the front desk staff lacks the competence and organization needed to manage patient care effectively. While I have no complaints about the doctors or their quality of work, the receptionist's inefficiency and lack of professionalism have significantly tarnished my overall experience. I would urge this dental office to address the shortcomings in their administrative processes to ensure better service for future patients. Update on this as 03/19/2025: I appreciate the response to my initial review and wanted to follow up with further details about my experience. After receiving your reply, I attempted to contact the office to clarify the situation. Unfortunately, I encountered significant difficulty in resolving the matter. The staff member at the front desk informed me that my insurance did not cover any of the charges. However, I have verified the claim status through my insurance provider, and it clearly indicates that payment has been made to your office. I expressed this repeatedly during our conversation, but my concerns were not acknowledged or addressed, leaving me feeling frustrated and unheard. I am simply seeking clarity on why this discrepancy exists and to ensure the matter is resolved. I have attached the details of the claim to this review for your reference. I hope this can be resolved promptly and professionally. Thank you.

Negative experience: Got 2 implants 4 years ago. They were done very poorly by Dr. Lashgari. There was a big gap between the implants and the gum right from the start. After 3 years they failed. The receptionist was lying and claimed they were not done by them. Don't get any implants by Dr. Lashgari or better go elsewhere .

Negative experience: Every time I went there he maxed out my insurance and I had to pay an additional $2,000.00 cash every time and all I really needed was a teeth cleaning and maybe a cavity. He did all kinds of things that I really didn't need done and never told me the price before he did any work. I had to stop going to him. My relatives had the same experience at dental way. Ever since I I stopped going to dental way. I only have to pay a deductible if I have any work done and no charges at all if I just get a teeth cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I went to The Dental Way for the first time about a year ago (summer 2023); I had preexisting issues with my teeth, and my previous dentist had damaged some of my teeth due to improper dental work. I first saw Dr. James Park, and he was amazing. He helped fix my problems and made me trust him much faster than my previous dentist had. Dr. Park also recommended that I do Invisalign (to fix my teeth’s gaps, structure, etc.) with The Dental Way’s orthodontist, Dr. Michael Ayoub. I was hesitant, but due to my improved financial situation at that time and these new dentists’ superior care, I decided to go through with it. Now, as of today, I’m done with Invisalign and just received my retainer. I am beyond satisfied with how my teeth and smile look; I was always self conscious about my teeth, mostly because of their gaps. The Dental Way helped give me the smile I always knew I could have. I feel more confident and refreshed. My smile looks great. Many thanks to Dr. Park and Dr. Ayoub!!! :) If you’re looking for a new dentist, or for somewhere to trust with orthodontic work… go here!!! Lastly, I also want to give a shout out to the front desk (reception) at The Dental Way. She was helpful, friendly, and attentive as well!!! 5 stars all the way! Can’t wait to go back in 6 months for my check up.
