Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Lasdowne Dental Care for around 15 years and they are always so welcoming and friendly. Even after I moved to Maryland I still come to Lansdown Dental Care. The front staff is eager to help and maintains a flexible schedule, and they are always easy to communicate with. They always have the most updated technology, and Dr. Tracy is always furthering her own knowledge and still takes good care of her patients. Dr. frames is always friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with, Sachi is by far my favorite dental tech. She does a great job every time and is always so thorough. The office is always clean and organized and the wait is never long. I couldn’t ever imagine going to another dentist. Thanks for always taking such good care of me!

Positive experience: I like Dr Tracy and her staff and went there for a few years. Ultimately I switched dentists and so did my daughter. They were fairly aggressive with recommendations for gum scaling for both of us. In addition, recommendations for fillings were not needed. I sought a second opinion and found that the filling and gum scaling was unnecessary for both of us. I also had cap done for a much lower cost with another dentist. This dentist seems to charge more for caps because the work is done onsite. Just beware of the additional charges and potential to upsell.

Negative experience: Do not let Dr. Frames’ nice demeanor fool you; his dental work is incredibly careless. During a routine cleaning, he suggested redoing a filling. I trusted him and agreed, but he made the tooth significantly worse. I was left with severe gum pain and extreme sensitivity to cold and sour foods. I ultimately had to see a different dentist, who confirmed that the filling was not done very well. Save yourself the pain and the extra medical bills—go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: As a dentist myself who has airway issues who do you see when you want the best? Well you fly all the way across the country from Seattle to Virginia. It is amazing what Dr. Nguyen does! (She also teaches and guides other dentists who desire to learn more.) The procedure was efficient, quick, and well thought out. Fantastic experience: Dr. Tracey and her team are first class. We have had a very difficult road with sleep apnea for our young son. He was struggling with many side effects bc of his apnea. We went in for a second opinion and without pushing anything shared how she would help advocate for our son with another provider. It became clear she needed to be THE provider to support our son's jaw issues and reverse this apnea. With in a year our son was off CPAP, having little health side effects and NO SLEEP APNEA. Her care has been life changing for him and his future. We are so grateful for her care and work to make sure children can breath while sleeping. If your child has unexplained health issues that effect, school, mood, and stamina, see if sleep apnea is the root cause. If so, then make sure you see Dr. Tracey and her team. You will be in great hands!

Negative experience: I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time, but wanted to be sure my concerns were valid before sharing them. After meeting with other professionals and learning more about pediatric airway health, I feel ready to share my experience at Lansdowne Dental Care with Dr. Tracey Nguyen. When my son was two years old, I noticed that he snored while sleeping. My instincts told me something wasn’t right, so I began learning about airway and obstructive breathing issues in children. In my search for help, I found Dr. Nguyen, whose background in children’s airway and sleep made me feel confident she would guide us in the right direction. My son was 3.5 years old when we went to go see Dr. Nguyen. Before our visit, the office required a $500 nonrefundable fee, which I paid, trusting that the expertise would be worth it. We traveled from Rockville, Maryland to Leesburg with our toddler and infant for the appointment. At the visit, a technician took an intraoral scan (which my son had already completed earlier that year with his regular dentist). Dr. Nguyen came in examined my son’s mouth briefly and mentioned he might have a long soft palate, then told us to come back when he was older. Panicked, I asked her different interventions I have read about. I asked about myofunctional therapy and intervention devices like the Myo Munchee or Tooth Pillow, but she said I could try them “if I wanted.” The same went for a sleep study—she said I could do it “if I wanted” and could contact any facility myself. She even suggested canceling our ENT appointment the next day because she thought my son might not cooperate. Overall, I left feeling that we were given no clear direction, plan, or professional guidance. Her tone and responses gave the impression that it was up to me to experiment and figure things out. At one point, a staff member handed me an in-home sleep study device (seemingly without Dr. Nguyen’s direct involvement). I took it hoping to make something of the visit, but after returning the device (shipped it through mail), we never heard back from the office. When I asked about the fee, Dr. Nguyen said it was for her “time and knowledge,” but I left unsure what knowledge had been provided. Thankfully, I did not cancel the ENT appointment. X-rays showed my son had enlarged adenoids, and surgery to remove them made a noticeable improvement in his breathing and sleep. Later, I connected with other airway professionals who provided a much clearer path forward, including identifying lip and buccal ties, starting myofunctional therapy, and discussing possible expansion treatment. Interestingly, a friend whose a dentist that was interested in learning about airway health attended one of Dr. Nguyen’s seminars on pediatric airway, where she emphasized the importance of early intervention. That made it even more confusing that, in our case, we were told simply to wait until he was older. Dr. Nguyen may be a fine general dentist, but based on my experience, I would not recommend her for pediatric airway or sleep concerns. Parents seeking help in this specialized area deserve clear direction, thorough evaluation, and actionable next steps—none of which we received. If you are a parent or someone in need of help and guidance in airway, I HIGHLY recommend TMJ Sleep and Breathe Center in Vienna VA.

Fantastic experience: I am a high stress, high anxiety patient that always requires nitrous even for cleanings. Dr Tracey’s team is always welcoming and caring. They have a new cleaning system called GBT. Results are different for every patient but for me personally, there was ZERO pain and I did not need anything to calm my nerves. Highly recommend!

Actually-anywhere! We have been seeing Dr Frames. Aside from being an incredible dentist, he’s just a great person. Dr Frames is so gentle with the numbing process-you don’t even feel the needle. Their state-of-the-art, advanced technology cleaning process is fascinating and very painless. Your teeth feel amazing afterwards. I have had some major dental work done recently as a result of a childhood accident. My smile has never looked so dramatically improved. It’s life changing. I’m very grateful and thankful to have found Dr Frames and this dental practice.

Negative experience: One of my crowns that was done only three years ago (and the crown was made at the office; not the ones that are made by outside labs) has a broken edge at the base that food gets stuck in it. Over a year ago, the crack and a small cavity under it was diagnosed. I paid over 2k for this tooth in 2022, and now I have to pay the same amount again. And dental insurance would only pay towards replacing a crown every 5 years.

I have had various procedures by her / her staff and they communicate very well between themselves and the patient during the process so there are no surprises and really pain free treatment is high priority. I have been a customer for probably over 15-20 years now. I had changed jobs during that time and lost insurance coverage with her practice and thus ran thru the gamut of 5 other dentists in Loudoun County. I am back now for the past year and she has fixed everything that was done not so good at other places. Fantastic experience: Sachi did another amazing job and helping with the maintenance of my periodontal issues. She is using a new GBT system that cleans as an air polisher and it is AMAZING!! She is always giving me great tips on how to do a better job. She gave me a new toothpaste to help with gum bleeding as well. Negative experience: I am a retired dentist and the treatment expected form an AACD accredited was not was I received. Treatment was rushed. When the anesthetic was running down my throat my concerns were placated , no show of concern. The final result was NOT accreditation worry, I was so disappointed. Lastly, I was charge for a procedure I did not receive. When I called to address the issues I was told I was mistaken. I had been in dentistry 45yrs I know procedures. So I was charged ~$1450. Now I have to see another dentist to fix her work. I'm not happy. Nor do I want a response to this review because I called the office for a response and I got NONE! So disappointing.......

Being a dentist myself, I was seeking an expert in the field of dental pediatric airway management. We drove 2 1/2 hours and immediately "saw" the value of driving long distance to receive that level of exceptional care. Fantastic experience: Dr. Tracey’s quality of care, patience, skill and bedside manner totally exceeds any five star review. I saw Dr. Tracey because I urgently needed to have some poorly done veneers I had gotten abroad removed. The veneers had been too big and were causing extreme pain and discomfort to my jaw. She was not only able to quickly provide a solution which resolved my pain overnight, but she was also able to create new veneers at the correct size, which are both naturally beautiful and comfortable. She even went as far as to personally go to the lab to pick up my new veneers, and ensure they were perfect herself. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Tracey and her staff, and will forever recommend her to anyone who requires cosmetic dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a consultation with Dr. Nugyen regarding my sleep apnea and breathing difficulties. The front desk staff does a great job getting you scheduled as soon as possible. Dr. Nguyen spent an hour and a half discussing with me the possible root causes of my problem based on my CBCT and some possible treatment options. I was impressed by the depth of her knowledge and could tell this was a subject she is passionate about. I learned a great deal about the factors contributing to my breathing/sleep apnea and feel empowered to make better decisions about how to treat it. Dr. Nguyen and everyone in the office were a pleasure to work with.

Dr. Tracy is an amazingly skilled airway dentist who isn’t pushy and is very practical when she offers treatment. She’s knowledgeable about tongue tie, airway, and a lot of areas that dentists are lacking unless they pursue education. Jer knowledge and office make it worth it for me to drive to them from DC.
