Fantastic experience: Truly an amazing office! The staff is so nice and helpful. I had gotten a unexpected root canal done and my dental insurance unfortunately didn’t cover 98% of it and Smileloft was able to let me set up a payment plan that aligned with my paydays and was able to pay it off hassle free. And the office has great dental technology where they were able to show me how off my teeth were after I recieved braces a longgg time ago and I was recommended Invisalign. Invisalign payment plan is also amazing and I’m almost done with my treatment plan! Rita and the staff are truly amazing. Even though this office is a little bit of a drive for me, I wouldn’t want anything else touching my pearly whites.

Positive experience: I would like to thank Dr. and the entire team at Smile Loft Dentistry for the excellent care and professional service I received. The doctor was very knowledgeable, professional, and attentive to my concerns. The denture work was completed quickly, and my overall experience during the visit was very satisfying. However, I would like to express a concern regarding the cost and recurrence of the same issue. The initial treatment and replacement of the denture attachments were already relatively expensive. Unfortunately, after only about five months, I experienced the exact same problem again and had to pay an additional fee to address it. This raises an important question for me: Is there an underlying issue with the denture itself, or is it normal for the attachments between the denture and the implants to require replacement so frequently? Given the cost involved, I would have expected a longer-lasting solution. Despite this concern, I truly appreciate the professionalism, courtesy, and quality of care provided by the doctor and staff. Thank you for your dedication and excellent service.

Fantastic experience: I was literally terrified walking into the office…not knowing what to expect. The front desk staff was AMAZING. The assistant who took my scans and x-rays AMAZING. My dentist…INCREDIBLE. She knew I was an absolute nervous wreck and she was so kind and patient. I have avoided going to a dentist for years because of my past experiences elsewhere. I finally found my dentist! I can’t thank Dr. Mariana enough for being so kind.

Fantastic experience: Dr Elena is a wonderful, caring dentist. She takes her time and fully explains everything and she listens to her patients! I feel at ease in her chair and I know she wants what’s best for me and it shows. They have all state of the art machines and tools etc. Lydia is the most gentle and kind and thorough hygienist and she is just the sweetest! The front desk is always friendly and they will send reminder texts for your appointments, and Rita will sit down with you and explain several options if work needs to be done further than just a cleaning. The office is very clean and modern and even has a coffee/tea station in the waiting area. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a couple of visits with Dr. Basili now and he makes everything so seamless! I fixed a chip I had on my front tooth thats been there for over a decade and I was super reluctant to fix because I had never seen it done in a way that looked good. He takes the time to explain each step and makes sure you are comfortable and pain free throughout the whole process. I am so happy with the results and can’t believe how much of a change it’s made in my smile!

Negative experience: I had a very upsetting experience at this office and will not be returning. First, I informed the dental hygienist that I have dental trauma, yet she dismissed my concerns and was not gentle during my cleaning. When I showed signs of being uncomfortable, she became rude and defensive, insisting she was just doing her job. At 22 weeks pregnant, I was already anxious about being there, and her behavior made it significantly worse. Second, when I signed up, I specifically selected a female doctor, but instead a male dentist walked in without explanation. He immediately made a comment about my trauma in a way that suggested the hygienist had spoken about me after leaving the room. Before even beginning his exam, he rambled on about his own experiences, which felt unprofessional and dismissive of my needs as a patient. Finally, after the exam he told me that gingivitis could lead to miscarriage. Using that word to a pregnant woman is completely inappropriate, insensitive, and frankly fear-mongering. When I told him I didn’t appreciate it, he doubled down by saying he was just trying to “educate” me. That is not education—it’s careless and harmful. This office showed a complete lack of compassion, professionalism, and respect for patient concerns. I would strongly caution others, especially expectant mothers or those with dental trauma, to look elsewhere for care. ⸻

I called the office and the person who answered was Abe. Abe’s customer service skills are unmatched( he definitely needs a raise). Fantastic experience: I simply loathe the dentist - so much so I haven’t been in an unreasonable amount of time. (No thanks to a terrible childhood dentist). Going back to the dentist gave me a good amount of anxiety. After doing extensive research, smile loft had good reviews and was close in proximity. Not surprisingly, I had a few cavities that needed to be addressed. Even though they weren’t visits I looked forward to, Dr. Elena and her dental hygienist as well as the front staff were wonderful. I work in health care so bedside manner goes a long way and she did a great job of doing what I needed for me to feel comfortable. I’m glad to have found a dentist who I feel at ease returning to.

Fantastic experience: The best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. The entire staff and Dr Marina were kind, helpful and addressed my anxiety and fear of dentistry with grace and care. I’ve had horrible experiences in the past and was very sacred to come in having had a filling break off this past weekend. I needed to see someone fast and my last dentist was a bad experience. The Dr and her whole staff were also very skilled. I’m a healthcare provider myself and felt in safe hands the entire time. They offered me sedation as an option for my anxiety but I felt confident enough with just local anesthesia and after my consultation with her even knowing we’d be starting a crown treatment and having lots of drilling. The office is a bit far for me to travel to but I don’t mind at all for this level of care.

Special shout out to Captain Marvy who was as delicate as a bull in a china shop taking my x-rays. Just kidding. And of course, the incomparable Dr. Marina was incomparable.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, would not recommend. Three different dentists worked on my crowns and they are not fitted well. They try to up-sale services that "might be needed" in the future. Definitely will not go back.

With Smile Loft's devotion to all the most recent technological advancements applied to every patient's greatest benefit one always leaves an appointment grateful for their superior care and thoroughness. I have recently completed a full mouth restoration coupled with a realignment of my bite. I would like you to continue reading the expectation and outcome of my story: Years of appropriate home and office care for the last six decades couldn't stop the inevitable aging and gradual deterioration of my teeth. Though my mouth was healthy the appearance was not. Until recently, with the advent and availability of cosmetic dentistry, earlier practitioners focused almost exclusively on issues of repair of the teeth and gum disease. Late summer, Dr. Malek, using the highly advanced technology he has made available for his patients, showed me the limited tooth structure remaining to accommodate future repairs. These structural challenges required me to recognize the important crossroads I had now arrived at. No longer would a piecemeal approach to treatment suffice to prevent increased risk of more involved and expensive procedures in the long run. Dr. Malek, however, was not merely the bearer of seemingly bad news. Instead, he pointed out an opportunity which presented itself: though the orthodontic treatment I received in my teen years did not stop premature damage to my lower front teeth, nevertheless, by doing a full restoration, Dr. Malek could compensate for the improper bite while providing a much whiter smile than I ever had. All my grey-yellowish teeth were crowned and reconfigured to achieve the desired improved function and appearance. The before and after photos of my mouth startled me, as they would anyone else. It really was that much of a new smile. Truly, function and aesthetics were fully accomplished! I can now affirm the decision to move forward rewarded me not only with a healthier future but also the freedom to display a smile I never felt free to reveal. I hope others, including you, thoughtfully weigh the benefits of a long-term comprehensive dental plan. There comes a special satisfaction when one can rest confidently that a wise decision has been made. Such a determined commitment also contributes to the happiness our smile is intended to create. Negative experience: OMG! The receptionist is SOOOOOOO RUDE! She has been there since 1986 and could use a few lessons in customer relations. Aside from the RUDE receptionist, Smile Loft, Middle River, 21220 seem to be more interested in selling dental work that you don't need (or want) instead of addressing the concerns of the patient. Will never go back!!!

I had an emergency yesterday where I cracked my tooth open, fair lawn was open and took me even though they were about to close. After the doctor reviewed what I needed, I agreed to an option they helped set up everything with there oral surgeon for the very next day! The oral surgeon was absolutely amazing, very kind and I was completely comfortable at all times. I will be telling all my friends!!!! Thank you!!!
