Fantastic experience: Had a great experience today. Jacqueline was awesome and the cleaning and visit was great. Dr. Skoumal is great and was very engaged in making sure all my questions were answered.

Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this dental office for a little over a year, and until now I had always had a positive experience. Unfortunately, I recently received a phone call about an outstanding balance for my daughter’s treatment, and the way it was handled was very disappointing. The staff member who called was rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic customer service skills. I understand that balances need to be collected, but there is a respectful and courteous way to speak to patients. I’ve been to other dental offices before, and whenever there was a balance due, the staff was always polite and professional. This experience completely changed my impression of this office. I hope management addresses how patients are treated over the phone, because no one deserves to be spoken to that way.

They explained everything that was going on and the best way to move forward based on what insurance would cover. I brought my dad for an appointment because his previous dentist was not in network anymore, I am so glad that we found Dr. Skoumal because he checked my dad thoroughly with all his medical conditions, he want to make sure my dad will be safe on his dental procedures, he explained his plan of care for my dad. Tiffany in the front desk is very nice and helped us to register my dad so we can be seen on time. Jacki, the dental hygienist is very knowledgeable and experienced. I am thinking of moving my whole family to StonebridgeDental.

Fantastic experience: At my visit 6months ago was my first time with Dr. Skoumal and his staff! I didn’t hit send on that one so here it is! Dr. Skoumal and his staff are very good at their given responsibilities. All are friendly, and efficient. It was a pleasant experience and I had tooth roots extracted!!! Today, I went back for my 6 month checkup and cleaning and although the cleaning procedure is never pleasant, the hygienistl made me feel relaxed and gave me good information to understand what she was doing and all went well.

Fantastic experience: I had my six month visit today at Stonebridge Dental Office. I have to say I just love everything about this dental office. The office is so clean. Tiffany is awesome and Jacqueline the dental hygienist is so sweet, friendly and did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. Dr Skoumal is also so friendly and does a great job with my teeth. I had an all around great experience. If you are looking for a new dentist you should really consider Stonebridge Dental.

Fantastic experience: Second time visiting, each time they were able to pull the broken tooth same day. The recent visit I was in and out in less than 80minutes! Paperwork, X-rays, tooth extraction, all done in just over an hour. During the tooth extraction process I expressed I could still feel more pinching/pain that I think I was supposed to and they did 1 more dose of numbing agent and I didn't feel a thing after. It's nice knowing you can stop and express the pain level and they will adjust accordingly. Will continue to go to this dentist with any and all problems regarding my teeth! They also accept patients who pay out of pocket with no insurance as that's what I had to do with my union being on strike.

Negative experience: Terrible experience getting my wisdom teeth removed. Dr.Skomul denied me antibiotics, was extremely rude, and the pain was unbearable. I got them removed a few months ago and it has just come to my attention that he only removed HALF of my lower left wisdom tooth. DO NOT GO HERE

Fantastic experience: Dr. Skoumal is great! After a bad experience with another dentist in the area I was nervous upon my first appointment but am happy to report I’ve found my new dentist! The front desk staff are also very nice and make scheduling an appointment easy and help answer questions re: billing and insurance coverage. Negative experience: If anyone is in need of a good dentist, Dr. Jim Skoumel Stonebridge Dental is NOT RECOMMENDED! His office is located 18W435 Roosevelt Rd, Lombard, IL 60148 I had an emergency last Thursday and my desperate calls went unanswered. He has no answering service to take emergency calls. I left several voicemails with no response. On the following Monday, the receptionist called to schedule an appointment. Within 10 minutes, I received a callback from Dr. Skoumel’s office to inform me that my dental insurance was no longer accepted at his office. As a result of the delay, I have an infection and will need a root canal.
