Fantastic experience: After a really bad and traumatic experience at a previous dentist. I haven’t been to the dentist in 5 years. At the beginning of 2026, I told myself that I wanted to work on catching up with everything that I have been putting off, the dentist being one. I was very hesitant to go, but my fiancé has been going to Merrimack smiles for years, and told me that I should try them. So I did, booking the appt was super easy, everyone from the front desk all the way to the doctor was friendly, and easy to talk to. I went into my appointment and was immediately greeted by friendly faces and a warm environment. The assistants and the doctor were very friendly, listened to my concerns and actually cared. I have finally found a dentist who cares, and that is why I will recommend everyone go to Merrimack smiles

Positive experience: Dr. Morris is a very good dentist. He handles my dental anxiety well. His assistants are excellent as well. Everyone in the practice handles my dental anxiety with respect and patience. I did not feel that I was pressured into any additional services I didn’t really need and staff recognize my need to conserve as a retired person. I recommend this office. (Took away one star because everything costs too much - but this isn’t only the dentist’s fault - there’s a lot on the backs of insurance companies.)

Attentive, patience answering all my questions, sensitive to my needs, great communications, highly skilled and professional - Dr. Morris and his staff are treasures.

Fantastic experience: If going to the dentist were a sport, this team would be Olympic gold medalists. I have super sensitive teeth (basically drama queens), but these folks handle them like pros — gentle, patient, and with zero judgment. Plus, everyone there has a smile so bright it could probably whiten your teeth just by looking at you. They’re thorough, friendly, and somehow make dental visits something I almost look forward to. Almost.

Negative experience: I’m not a dentist, but I did go to Harvard and have an oral surgeon in my close circle—so while I don't claim expertise, I do have the intelligence and support system to ask informed questions when it comes to my health, including dental care. To me, a good dental office isn’t just about friendly smiles and a pleasant environment—though those things help. It’s about truly listening to patients, responding with thoughtful care, and prioritizing their well-being over time. Unfortunately, my experience at this office has been deeply disappointing on those fronts. After being a patient here for several years, I came in with significant tooth pain. I was told it was likely due to muscle tension and advised to consult a physician. Trusting their judgment, I did—only to find no relief. My doctor, in turn, strongly suspected a dental issue (possibly a root canal) and encouraged me to return to the dentist. Upon returning, I was told it was actually a cavity and needed a crown. The crown was placed, but the pain persisted and worsened. I returned again, concerned that I might need a root canal. Instead, I was told the problem was with a different tooth and needed yet another crown. That one was placed as well—and still, the pain continued, relentless and excruciating. After nearly three months of suffering and multiple visits, the dentist finally acknowledged that a root canal might be necessary and referred me to a specialist—for the following week. I asked for medication in the meantime and was told a prescription for codeine would be sent to the pharmacy. When I arrived—nothing. I called and was told it had been sent elsewhere. Still nothing. Hours later, when I finally spoke with the provider, I was told to just take Tylenol. At that point, it became clear that the provider was unwilling to offer effective pain management, despite having previously agreed to it, and after putting me through hours of waiting and unnecessary back-and-forth. I rarely take any medications—not even Advil—but the pain was so intense it was interfering with every part of my life. I felt abandoned, dismissed, and deeply unsupported. Eventually, the endodontist performed the root canal—drilling through one of the brand-new crowns to do so—and the pain that had consumed my life for months disappeared almost immediately. I’m left wondering why such a straightforward solution took so long to arrive at, and why I had to endure so much in the process. This experience has made me seriously question the communication, clinical judgment, and priorities of this provider. I truly hope others receive a more responsive and compassionate level of care than I did.

Negative experience: After being a patient at this dental office for several years, I can no longer recommend their services. While I will refrain from naming individuals, I experienced repeated issues that left me disappointed and disheartened. I felt there was a strong emphasis on upselling products and services I neither needed nor requested. Some of these products were improperly installed, and despite specifically asking for high-quality laboratory-made options, I was provided with what I believe were subpar, in-house alternatives. More concerning, longstanding issues I raised during my very first visit remained unresolved throughout my time with the practice. At one point, I was even asked to prepay for services despite having dual dental insurance coverage. To date, I have not been reimbursed for treatments that were covered by my insurance and took place over a year ago—though I consider this just one of several concerns. Overall, I felt the practice prioritized routine billing and product sales over genuinely addressing my dental health needs. I had hoped for a more patient-centered approach and feel disappointed by the experience.

Everyone was happy and cheerful at 0730 this morning. My wait was about 2 minutes before I was called in. I was treated with kindness and respect. The cleaning went very well. Almost enjoyable for a dentist visit. I mean let's face it, no one enjoys someone picking and scraping at their teeth. I wasn't at all uncomfortable during the entire process. The overall professionalism was amazing, yet there was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere the entire visit. I have, without a doubt, found my new dentist office.

Negative experience: They cancelled on my husband twice, once with no notice besides just a sign on the door that they were closed due to Covid. They cancelled on me twice because they couldn’t keep help. They lost everyone who was there when Dr. Couret was there. Dr. Couret really cared about his patients. After all the cancellations because either someone was sick or someone quit, by the time I got into see them it was a year and a half after my last dental hygienist appointment. I had always gone into my appointments every 6 months, since I had last been seen I had developed periodontal disease which is never curable just controllable and I had to get it get it under control before I could have surgery. Then I was not allowed to see the dentist for a year after the surgery. When I next went in, I was not seen due to petty reasons. I asked to speak with the dentist and he would not discuss the situation with me. Dr. Mark Morris doesn’t care. My children never really liked him and when Linda a former dental hygienist left, they wanted to leave the practice. I should have listened to the rest of the family. He thinks nothing of making you wait or cancelling on you. He gets so many five stars because he asks you to call if you aren’t going to give him a 5. I would recommend choosing another office that really cares about their patients, because your oral health is extremely important.

While there were times that multiple visits were necessary to accomplish some serious work, fortunately, this past year I’ve only had to go for cleanings. Negative experience: They made a cavalier and utterly superfluous decision to drill and fill a chip in the enamel of one of my molars. That filling has since failed and now my molar will likely need to be extracted. These people are in the business of making money. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!

Negative experience: I've been going to the office for over 10 years. My blood pressure is managed by my doctor. It is none of their business, over the years they have refused to give me service including simple cleanings of my teeth because they are worried about a medical emergency in their chair. This is absolutely hilarious to any medical professional that would read the blood pressure that they are seeing. My blood pressure is controlled and at a reasonable level, one time they tried to use a machine to take my blood pressure on the tip of my finger like an oxygen sensor. They probably got it on Amazon at a discount. You cannot take a blood pressure on the tip of a finger. A couple years ago I told them if they ever refuse service again because of my blood pressure which is none of their business I would be leaving the practice. Last week they did it again, so I'm done with them.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely adore this Dental group. The people are extremely nice and personable. They always pleasantly greet you when you arrive. The services are top notch, the Dentist and dental hyienists are very professional and don't come across as judgemental. Everyone there is very helpful and truly want to see their patients satisfied. The new office building is so beautiful, clean and very calming. I wish I found this office years ago...maybe if I had I wouldn't need to fix my smile as I do now. Fantastic experience: I have HATED the dentist my whole life! All the poking and prodding. It HURTS! Then I moved to Merrimack smiles and was met by Dr. Morris. I was blown away. Zero pain. Made sure all steps were taking to cause me no pain. I was blown away. Unbelievable down to earth guy. Fell in love with my Dr. Morris. My next appointment I had Dr. Kapala, and thought to myself “oh no” because the chances of getting TWO Dr’s with the SAME ideals and treatment techniques is almost unheard of. NOT HERE!!!! I can’t speak enough volume on how pleasant this office is. The environment, the atmosphere, the conversation, the CONSISTENCY, the way they treat my kids as well. We couldn’t ask for a better place. We will be here forever! THANKS MERRIMACK SMILES !!!!

Fantastic experience: Always so welcoming. From the minute I walk in getting greeted and checked in, my hygienist remembering so much about me. Just absolutely pleasant. I absolutely hated dentists for a few years before starting here and they were made aware and have made every accommodation and actually made my visit’s pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and Merrimack Smiles was covering for my dentist, who was on vacation. They got the call at 4:30 and saw me the next morning at 9:30. I was greeted by Crystal who was extremely friendly and welcoming. Then I met Dr Kapala and she was just as friendly and welcoming. She fixed me up and sent me on my way. Remember, this is not my dentist, but they sure did treat me as if they were. Thank you for helping!
