Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled for all three of my children to have their regular cleanings and checkups. The day before our appointment, I called to let the office know that we had an unexpected accident that resulted in our windshield being shattered, so we needed to reschedule. The staff member I spoke with told me that because of the cancellation, they would never schedule all three of my children together again since it left a three-hour gap in their schedule. I explained that this was a completely unforeseen situation and not something we could have planned for or avoided. Even when I asked if we could reschedule several months in advance, I was told they still would not allow all three appointments to be booked together. I understand that offices have scheduling policies, but I was disappointed by the complete lack of compassion and flexibility for a genuine emergency. Life happens, and I expected a little more understanding. Unfortunately, because of this experience, our family will be finding a new dental office.

Fantastic experience: This place is great!! They are friendly and kind while providing care. They are very knowledgeable and thorough, while also making sure you are comfortable during any part of the services they are performing. They went above and beyond when scheduling my appointment that is covered by Medicaid. There was some difficulty verifying coverage, and they gave tremendous effort to get confirmation for me. Never thought I'd say this, but I look forward to seeing them for years to come and trust them completely with the care of my teeth.

She was a sweetheart. She even told me where I could get the stand she had in her room. I completely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised this morning at meramec dental. Not only was the waiting room exquisitely clean, with comfortable seating instead of the cheapest chairs you can find. All the ladies there are also very neat. Happy, professional and knowledgeable. You can tell they actually care about your well being. It was a very short wait to go back, Katie was very quick, efficient, and she was exquisite in not making my x rays more uncomfortable than necessary. The dr. Was extremely nice and made sure I understood everything that was said. Kelsey the hygienist was also very quick and knowledgeable, their quote was astonishingly low compared to other dentists I've been too. I look forward to performing all of my dentist work here!

Negative experience: I called this place to setup an appointment for myself and my gf. I explained she had insurance, and I would be out of pocket. They called her back and ignored me. Red flag #1, she went to her appointment and they told her she had 3 cavities that needed fillings. We got a second opinion and she only had 2 cavities that need fillings. Red flag #2, this is one of those places that will drill perfectly healthy teeth just so they can bill your insurance. I'd avoid it. ‍♂️

Negative experience: As nice as the people in the office is. They certainly dont have your best interest at heart. Went in a few months back for a quote on some work. Got it scheduled and everything. Come to find out a WEEK PRIOR to my surgery that I needed to pay an ADDITIONAL $1K out of pocket for anesthesia. This is on top of the $1500 I was already quoted. When I called to ask about it, I was told "surely the girls would've told you that prior" no, they sure didnt. And when asked what options I had they said they had none. Highly encourage you to look elsewhere if you can. I have to after 3 months of looking forward to getting the work I needed done. Atrocious customer service and showed 0 empathy towards me and their clear miscommunication. Just was told "I'll tell the girls for next time"

They're not far from where they used to be either so not too much of a drive difference. Definitely great people and staff. Negative experience: My children were patients here and at the time they had no openings for adults so i was going to comtrea dental who informed me I needed a filling. Meramec family dentist ended up calling me with an opening for me before I could get in for the filling so I decided to switch to them. Meremac redid my X-rays and exam and told me that tooth did not need a filling. Fast forward about 8 months I come back in and they tell me that I had a cavity that was so bad I probably would end up needing a root canal but they would try to fill it. They did the filling and I contacted Comtrea to ask if that was the same tooth they initially said needed a filling and they informed me it was. I switched back to comtrea they did an exam and said they would need to redo the filling meremac just did because it was not done properly. They redid it and said i was going to need a root canal.. I’ve called and made a complaint and asked for my medical records and they said when they get time they will send them and told me it would be 5-7 days. I’m still waiting on a call back in hopes they are willing to pay for this 3500 dollar root canal insurance does not cover! I would not recommend going to this dentist at all!

I went just to analyze the situation that I had going on. they had a couple people come in to analyze my teeth and gums and take some pictures but they had me in and out in 30 mins with a treatment plan. For somebody with a very busy schedule I appreciated the efficiency.

Negative experience: Called and scheduled an appointment. Told them upfront I had severe dental anxiety and needed someone I know and trust to go back with me. They said they would accommodate that. Go to the appointment only to be told my wife cant go back with me. Again told them how bad my anxiety is at the dentist and that i need her back there with me. The manager comes out with a horrible attitude and says I'm taking you off the schedule we cant accommodate you. No explanation on why or why my wife couldn't go back with me. If they couldn't accommodate me when I called to make the appointment they should have said that. Terrible service and the managers attitude was ridiculous.

Negative experience: I’m assuming the owner isn’t aware the receptionist is losing customers before they walk in the door. Called to make an appointment, filled out all my paperwork, tells me “they will call me” Aren’t I supposed to schedule an appointment..? Or even have the option to. Tried to call back for 2 days, receptionist forwards all my calls and sends me a txt message directly after my call… wow, guess my questions about your service don’t matter. Red flags all around

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at Meramec Family Dentistry was absolutely incredible! I hadn't been to any dentist in several years and had severe anxiety about my first appointment. They made me feel comfortable, heard, and understood. They walked me through every part of the appointment and explained what my upcoming appointments would look like. Fantastic experience: Great experience! First visit was yesterday for my initial exam and the staff got me in quickly. Everyone was very super friendly. Cute little waiting room with the most beautiful & comfortable couches lol. The experience was not only painless, but it was very laidback, not rushed and extremely comfortable. Very clean, neat and organized facility. Everyone was professional, yet down to Earth and personable. They were even able to easily accommodate my next visit (my deep cleaning) easy, even with their very booked schedule . I’ll be seeing them NEXT WEEK for my cleaning and I can’t wait. Fantastic experience: Very nice ladies, so was the guy i cant remember names but they were all incredible, laughing, smiling, good vibes, they make small conversation inbetween scans and your cleaning also making sure that your comfortable. Negative experience: Canceling someone’s appointment for not being in contact with you guys for a week is not okay ! If they make an appointment , and you don’t hear otherwise that they need to cancel or that they are not coming it’s best to not just assume . It’s not okay . Zero star review . Do better .

She's the assistant who seems to know more than lots of my past dentists knew. She is so sweet and nice, and just so fun, she really helps pass the time. I love her when I go there!

Negative experience: If you are looking for an office that have people with compassion Meramac Family Dentistry is not the place . My son has been waiting to get his braces since he was 9. I had to work , my mom , his grandmother took him . They left an hour and 15 minutes early . Somehow Apple Maps took them to the wrong place . He was on the waiting list for a month . Appointment was 945, my son texted and said my mom was upset because they were lost and was worried they would be late and asked me to call. I called 15 mins before the appointment to let them know they would be there any minute but got lost which is why they weren’t there a little early . I figured that would help out a little .They got there at 10am. 15 minutes late . They were not even late when the called and these ladies already was in a rush to reschedule. Not only would they not see my son. When she asked if they could reschedule or get put back on the waiting list they were told NO!!!. If you knew how long my 19 year old son has waited to be able to get this done. We were referred out to have this last procedure done. Had struggled with his teeth since a young boy. His insurance would not cover. We finally had the money and paid SLU 1900 down of the 4500 . But he had to just get a tooth pulled before he could get his braces. His heart has been so set on this . Now we are back are square 1. When I tried to tell the receptionist who answered this she was very COLD and literally cut me off . They don’t care about the patients . They want there patients in and out . They have no compassion and could really care less about this being a very big appointment for someone . So I don’t care how many good reviews Meramac Family Dentistry has the fact that they answer the phone like robots and seem like they are heartless says a lot to me . I work in healthcare with Physicians. I get that one person can throw the doctors schedule off, but no matter how upset the front office is when people are late. One thing I can say is most physicians and dentist I know will work the patient in , IF NOT, give them a day to come Back. Not totally refuse but when they asked if they could reschedule they were straight told NO!! My son not longer has dental insurance and we were also going to pay out of pocket. I just can’t respect any practice that does this . I can see if they are continuously late or didn’t call to say they were lost. So let this be advice to leave extra extra early .

Fantastic experience: Micah and Cylus used to go to a dentist in Festus and they wouldn't get out of the car to go in because they were scared to death. Someone told me about this dentist and I took them there and they didn't want to go in but they finally did and they loved him. The dentist didn't hurt them. My granddaughter and grandson came out with a smile. No tears! Yay!

I've had the full range of services from Dr. Mandefro and his team over many years: cavities; crowns; root canal; wisdom teeth extractions; and implants. All accomplished with minimal fuss, reasonable fees, and no trauma. Patient comfort is prioritzed and the obvious skills of the whole team makes every procedure as easy as possible.

Fantastic experience: I recently went here because I had a tooth break and needed it fixed. Even though I was a new patient they were still able to get me in fairly quickly. Once in they were able to check it out and see I needed a root canal and crown. I was not that excited about it as my last one (through another practice) was absolutely horrible and painful for weeks. They knew I was nervous about it and kept checking in throughout the procedure to see how I was doing. They listened to me when I said my bite was not right and corrected it until I was happy. I can honestly say this experience was 1000x’s better than my previous and I do not regret one bit getting it done. The only pain involved was a little discomfort from where the numbing shots were administered and the temp crown was a little sensitive for a couple days, but completely bareable ( and I’m a huge baby with mouth pain) I received my permanent crown today and it went absolutely perfect and I have zero pain or discomfort even after the numbing wore off. The pricing was extremely manageable and I’m excited to get through the rest of my treatment plan over the next few months. I would also like to add that he made sure I was clear of any infection prior to doing the work, I honestly think that was the huge factor between my last one and this one. They listened when I told them the one antibiotic I was on wasn’t helping and immediately put me on a different one that did work.
