Fantastic experience: Katie was so nice and did a great job!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Atarchi and his staff both at Crystal Lake as well as at Elgin showed very nice patient care.I was indeed happy to choose Dental works for my periodontal cosultation.Dr.Atarchi was very nice in explaining the treatment plan that will help me to fix my dental issues. All his staff members including staff at the front desk and billing showed nice patient service. This is just my partial survey report.I had my procedure completed and I am now in my recovery phase.I will come back again and complete my final survry report after recovery and follow up after a month.So far I am indeed pleased with Dr Atarchi,Zaid and his group.Please keep it up " Dental Works"

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I would. Front office is terrible. Poor communication, claims to have text to cancel appointments and left messages but nothing on my end, though when they need to call for payment etc. the calls come through? They are dishonest, disorganized, and disrespectful. I would go elsewhere for your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Steve the office manager was awesome he found me a sooner appt, the office we normally go to did not help me. My son broke his bracket on his braces and he was very empathetic and understanding. The regular dentist even though she wasn't an orthodontist, she helped my son get relieved from his pain, we are very grateful the entire staff were pleasant and friendly.

Positive experience: My visit today with the hygienist was actually good . She provided so much information to me . She was very informative . I believe her name was Delores . She actually massaged my gums with the toothbrush during my cleaning . It was the highlight of my appointment . I was pleasantly surprised at how good it felt . My first appointment didn’t go so well because I was upset they insisted on giving me a laser cleaning treatment plan as opposed to a regular cleaning but after talking with the hygienist today I understood . I’ll return in 6 months for another cleaning .

Fantastic experience: I truly wish that I could continue with DentalWorks &Orthodontics Elgin, I met some the Kindest Concerned Professionals that were honest and understanding! Negative experience: Hygienist Katie is one of the better ones I've had, but echoing some of what's already been said: they do procedures that are elective. I even asked the front desk my last appointment if they could check my insurance, then got the bill and still saw them. My final visit, the front desk didn't hear the loud door bell, was sitting on his phone a video. I announced myself, he didn't hear, so I sat down. Waited 5 minutes until "Oh, didn't hear ya come in." I laughed and mentioned how loud the doorbell is, and he said "I guess I can't call you, then". ...what? So unprofessional, and that aligns with my experience. Where there's smoke, there's fire. I feel bad for Katie, she truly is a good hygienest that should find a good, family dentistry to work for instead of a big chain of dental care places that outsource everything and have predatory service upselling.

Fantastic experience: I was in terrible pain all weekend and the staff fit me in on Monday morning for an emergency root canal. The care and the treatment from everyone was great. I thanked them all several times before leaving & not being in pain for the first time three days.

Negative experience: This DentalWorks was a horrible experience for me. They 100% scammed me. Instead of just doing a regular cleaning they added a bunch of steps not covered by my insurance and did not discuss it with me at all. The service from the actual dentist was rushed and she seemed very annoyed that I had questions or concerns. Too much money went into this hostile environment and I will never be going there again.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit with Dr. Davis and she and her staff were super nice. She was very sweet and explained everything thoroughly. Her assistant Janet was also very sweet and kind. I picked the right team for sure. Almost forgot to mention the hygienist. She was amazing. I had to have a more extensive cleaning and she was talking me through every step. Made me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation.

Fantastic experience: I believe I have been a customer of Dental Works for over 12 to 15 years. I especially love the dental hygienist, Katie. She is very thorough with every cleaning and very gentle & attentive. She has the best personality & makes me feel comfortable from the moment I sit in her chair. Negative experience: The worst experience i have ever had , charging me 138$ for nothing. Just to tell me that they are not taking kids 4 years old, and i was very specific on the phone when i was making the appointment that my kid is 4 year old. And charging me just to tell me that . Please if you ever looking for a good and professional dentist don’t waste time .

Fantastic experience: This is our first time to find a Dental Clinic since we move here in Ilinois.DentalWorks is under our innetwork of our insurance.Me and my husband so glad we are able to find our dental clinic who will take care of our dental concerns.Clinic is so clean and modern.it seems all the staff were accomodating and our attending dentist takes care of us too.

Negative experience: Very bad experience from making an appointment, to checking in with the front desk, to meeting the dentist. The hygienist was the only pleasant person there. I DEFINITELY won’t be going back there and won’t recommend them to anyone

Negative experience: 0 stars if I could: I want to start by saying that I have had nothing but a horrendous experience with DentalWorks Elgin. I originally was scheduled for a New Patient appointment with Dr. Davis on April 28th, and was called by the front desk a week prior that my appointment was double booked and needed to be rescheduled. An inconvenience but it happens, fine. The appointment was rescheduled for May 12th. Today (May 5th) I received a call that my appointment would need to be rebooked again because the office needs more time for a New Patient appointment. Obviously, this should have been addressed with the first rescheduling phone call and is unacceptable. As ridiculous as this is, I rescheduled for the second time for May 15th. Shortly after, I received a confirmation email for the May 15th appointment, under a completely different name, "Thammalangsy Kosy". Obviously this was alarming to me as possible fraud, and I called the office to be notified by an automated message that they were closed and was transferred to a Customer Service line. Once I got a hold of someone, I was then told that my patient profile didn't exist and there was no one to escalate this to as the Elgin office was closed, but that I should "call my insurance because it sounds like fraud". I wholeheartedly agree, it does sound like fraud! When I attempted to log into my profile on the DentalWorks portal, this "Kosy" patient was matched under my birthday, and I couldn't see what else of mine was connected to the portal (things like medical history, medications, contact information, emergency contact, and insurance information). In fact, when I tried logging in with my name, there is no profile for me at all. I have never experienced such a ridiculous lack of patient record keeping in my life. Not only has this office committed what is clearly a HIPAA violation, but it is fraud. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as the DeltaDental insurance company. Do not come to this office. They are inept and will leak your personal information.

Fantastic experience: Place is awesome! Very knowledgeable, they take great care and you can tell they care about your teeth long term instead of just getting you in and out like other places do. They were able to squeeze me in for a cleaning after initial visit which was awesome!

Negative experience: Worst place to book appointments first time visit they rescheduled me 4 tome by the last one i just canceled the appointment it took me 3 months to mot even be seen

Positive experience: I was there for deep cleaning, descaling for my second round. Both times I was burned with the laser and there wasn't really any acknowledgement that she burned my lip on the inside in a couple of spots... Not very steady work.

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office and the people in it! All my adult life I have had dentists I just didn’t like or trust, I’m glad I found Dental Works! They don’t try to sell me anything I don’t need-they’re honest and upfront, Making appointments are super easy and they do everything from the same office (my previous dentist would refer me out to a “specialist” if I needed a root canal)-I actually look forward to my dentist appointments now. And for those negative reviewers complaining about billing….they give me an itemized bill each time I visit explaining the costs and I pay my portion the day of the visit, if anything is due (I have really good insurance) — no problem with billing

Negative experience: The absolute worst dentist office I have ever been to! This is the second time I went to the dentist and every single time I’ve been there it’s always something. The phone service when calling dental works put me on for the complete wrong service so after being pushed back 45 minutes from my appointment, I come into not even being able to get the cavities filled that I needed to. And then I was harassed because it took me two months to come back after I was originally told that I have cavities. The hygienist Dorothy was not nice at all. It was bickering with me. And I was basically told that because I’m a sign to a regular doctor the other ones can’t even see me even though I’ve literally waited for my appointment to have my cavities filled and still nothing. It was DentalWorks fault that I was scheduled for the wrong thing and was showing up and waiting for my appointment. I still got nothing done. Basically I was told they would only see me if I was in pain. Will never be coming back and will definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic experience: DentalWorks of Elgin has been great. My whole family receives dental care from this office location and they have been professional, communicative, understanding, transparent and helpful. We have not had any issues with his office location, will highly recommend.

Positive experience: This dental office was super easy to get in and schedule with. It was challenging to find a place that accepts my insurance (Delta) and luckily they do. Everyone was very helpful and down to Earth. They are very upfront and forward with you, which I respect instead of sugar-coating.

Negative experience: If it were possible, I would rate them with zero stars. Their customer service is appalling, and there seems to be no avenue to contact their billing department. Despite my insurance covering a cleaning since summer 2021, I've been consistently billed every month since then. Despite numerous calls seeking resolution, I'm just shuffled around and reassured not to worry. This level of service is entirely unacceptable and unprofessional. Would not recommend.

I've paid for services rendered on the spot and they still have the audacity to send a bill with a balance due. I don't understand how they're allowed to continue to be open. DONT BE ME. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS ABOUT BILLING. THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

Negative experience: My Son carries a DMO dental policy. No one wants it but they do pay when used. Dental works accepted this policy for braces and dental cleaning. During this whole time there was so much turnaround when it came to orthodontists. I feel like they sucked the money out of insurance and it was thousands. Once the money ran out all of a sudden he is done with braces. My dentist(whom I have seen for 15+ years)currently had a cleaning special for kids and I decided to pay out of pocket and take him there since I trust her. She comes to tell me he has 7 cavities. She also asked me where did he go for braces as his teeth are not sitting right. He has gone to dental works every month for his braces and 2x a year for cleanings. NEVER once was I told by a new ortho due to the turnaround that they see cavities as they are in his mouth each month changing rubber bands and wires. And worst for me to be asked where did he get braces as his teeth arent sitting right?! Im really disappointed in dental works.

Fantastic experience: Dental Works put braces on my young daughters front 4 teeth, they are patient and kind and did a great job with her. We had an issue with her wire and we’re able to have same day appointment!

Negative experience: This dental office is a scam. They just took x-rays and didn't do anything else but they told me I need deep cleaning and gave me an estimate for $750.00. I didn't go for that cleanings, Now they sent me bill asking me to pay $100.00 towards x-rays. My insurance covers 100% for x-rays. I don't recommend this dental works to my family and friends, better find another dentist.

Negative experience: I would give this dental office a zero if I could. Do not go to this office. When my kids were 15 and 17, they went in for a free cleaning. They tried to charge $250 each for plaque removal. I declined and they said they wouldn't do the cleaning then but still billed insurance company for it. We had to wait another 6 months for a cleaning. Also, my son had a crown put on his tooth 4 years ago. It fell off recently. He called them and they said they would charge him to put it back on. They said he had 15 minutes to get there because they were closing. He said he couldn't and went elsewhere who said this was the worst job they had ever seen. He didn't have to pay anything either. Today he got a bill for $30 for a missed appointment from Dentalworks. Ridiculous. They are scammers. Stay away from this office.

Negative experience: As so many others have stated here in the reviews, their billing is terrible. They always misstated billings and we finally gave up and went to a more local dentist and have never had a problem since. We really liked the dentist and hygienist, but the billing issues were just too annoying to ignore. For us, it was like $35 here, $50 there, so we ignored it for several years and then, when they moved, decided to find another dentist. Glad we did as the billing issues stopped immediately.
