Negative experience: I walked out today feeling very angry. a little over 6 weeks ago, I came in for an exam and was told I needed a root canal. I went and got the root canal done that same week. On the same day ( in pain and numb) I came back to this dentist to get my x-rays taken so a authorization could be sent out for a crown. I was told that they will send the authorization out that same day. 6 WEEKS AGO. I called every week to ask if there was any update or approval for my crown ( it is best to get a crown put on no later than 4 weeks, you can damage your tooth because it's very fragile) Which will result in a "failed root canal".) I was told that everything was sent off and they haven't heard anything back. I started to get swollen lymph nodes on the side of my neck where the root canal was done. So I got fed up and called Denti-cal. The representative easily looked up my records with my id number, and she told me there was no authorization form sent. She was able to pull up a approval for my root canal ( which I had done 6 weeks ago) but not for my crown. I was in shock. I called several times and was told that I needed to wait for an approval. Each time I expressed that it's been a while and I was becoming worried & she assured me the TAR (treatment authorization form) was sent off. I went in today and asked her face to face if she sent it off electronically before I told her I called DENTI-CAL and was told clear as day that no TAR was sent. She said she probably had to " re submit it" which will take another 3 weeks. I told her just don't even do it, its clear it was never done in the first place. ________________ I understand receptionist work can become overwhelming; the office is extremely crowded, and I only see one dentist there, but straight up lying to a patient in need is very disrespectful and evil. Was it my race? was it my sex? was it because she was tired? or angry about a personal situation? how long was she going to lie and say she sent it ? I'm so disappointed in western dental and the receptionist. I will not recommend or return. The actual dentist is great. (the lady of Asian descent) she was very seasoned and i felt so comfortable with her. Im sad that i won't be able to get work done by her. but front desk, billing, scheduling, etc ...NO don't come here.

Fantastic experience: Best dental office in the Los Angeles / Orange County area, I’ve been coming to this clinic for the last 30 years and I have always since a child had a wonderful experience great customer service , great care , great management team and great orthodontics surgeon on site.

Negative experience: Don't do it! This place is fraudulent. For the past 15 years, I have been a regular patient at a different dental practice until last month. I attended my most recent dental appointment last month, where I underwent a standard deep cleaning. Now, at this location a month later, I have been informed that I have five cavities following what I can only describe as a superficial cleaning, which I find quite amusing. The lady sprayed air in my mouth and scraped 2 teeth lol. How amusing. This establishment is a fraud.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, my daughter was strapped to a board at under 2 years old for dental work while screaming the entire time, they wouldn’t let me back with her I had to hear her cries from the waiting room, and later we seeked dental care from another dr/ practice and they said that it was all completely uncalled for, they never should have done that and the work that was done was not necessary. I am convinced they’re making fraudulent charges for work that isn’t necessary. Get a second opinion if WD is trying to put caps on baby teeth that look fine but are on medi-cal

Negative experience: I normally don't do reviews but don't even bother wasting your time. I came here for an emergency filling. My cavity filling has fell out. They gave me a same day appointment for the afternoon but then they called me to cancel. I didn't get seen until 2 days later. It turned out I needed two fillings done so I got them done. During the procedure, there was a client who was making a complaint on the other side of the room & the two females who were doing my fillings were just so focused into the drama I felt they rushed the whole procedure. Anyways at the moment I was just in pain and I went straight home. The next day I tried to floss my teeth and I couldn't floss in between of the tooth they did the filling in. The tooth was sealed with my other tooth. I went back in to get that fixed but when she used the saw to separate the teeth she ended up cutting my gum!!! After that I've been trying to get in contact with them to have them fix my bite because one side is higher than the other due to the filling they never answer the phone !! Don't even bother going to this place. You'll just go back wasting your money for problems that should've been fixed the first time .

Fantastic experience: I have had so many great experiences at Western Dental in Bellflower, CA! The staff always welcomes me, easing my dental visit nerves. They handle everything quickly, with minimal wait time, which I appreciate. The entire team is very responsive, explaining each step and demonstrating their expertise. They are genuinely kind and make me feel valued as a patient. I highly recommend Western Dental in Bellflower. You’ll leave with a smile!

The dentist will refuse to do work if you don’t agree with there upsales They wastes so much of customers time having you come back and forth! Which results in no work being done.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for a while now. I used to be under the care of another doctor at the facility who was not compassionate at all. I was recently reassigned to Dr. Luong, and man I’ve noticed a drastic difference in patient care and compassion. Dr. Luong ensures that her patients are heard and seen in an efficient manner. I am grateful for her professionalism and empathy. I also want to say that she has a fantastic team working along side of her, both Monica and Phally are exceptional!

Fantastic experience: Amazing customer service at the Western Dental office in Bellflower today!!! I arrived a few hours early and I was able to be seen! Assistant Xochilt and Dr Lang were very detailed, communicative, and showed a lot of care. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to going to the dentist but today I was not because of them!! 5 STAR SERVICE!

Negative experience: Very bad dentist don’t speak English very well or tell you what are they going to do and damage my teeth and molars when back a lot of times to and manager very bad and coustomer service I told her about the I infection in my mouth she said I’m not a doctor Avery time a different problem and I you don’t like go somewhere for help I’m bing calling to do complain to main office and the only say they will let supervisors know of problems and will call back. It’s bing more than 5 week trying to wet help and nothing. I’m calling to do more claim to get help and no look some please help to fine the correct person to help me with the pain

Dr. Lang did an amazing job on my teeth making sure my bite felt comfortable after the fillings. I am forever thankful to Dr. Shamoon for taking such great care of me and removing my impacted tooth. I also want to thank Ms. Gina and Ms. Mayra for being incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit. I would definitely recommend this clinic to my family and the community. My kids also go here, and we’ve always had great experiences.

Fantastic experience: Had some teeth knocked out by the cops a while back Western dental hooked me up gave me a new grill now you can't even tell

Negative experience: The wait times in the dental office were egregiously long, having to wait four hours to receive an oral checkup and X-ray scan. Yes, it's the first time coming to this office and having switched from a previous insurance provider, but this was a frustrating experience. I noticed, while waiting, at least 3 groups of people entering in and/or waiting for their appointments ahead of mine, not to mention the four other groups of people waiting after my appointment. At the very least, the people (receptionists and doctors) seemed nice but certainly understaffed for how many other people were also waiting for their appointments.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this dentist for many years and I believe they recently changed management or teams and I can confidently say that these doctors and assistants treat you with so much more care and patience than any have in the past. Dr Loung and her assistant Xochitl were so kind and patient which I find rare in many of my dental experiences.

Fantastic experience: Myra is the best business manager that Western Dental has in my opinion. She is very professional and empathetic toward the patients concerns and needs. Whatever you are paying her needs to be tripled. I’ve seen her work with the most difficult clients and left them smiling and satisfied after servicing them efficiently and quickly. She’s basically awesome and much needed in today’s medical world.

Negative experience: If there was no stars I would choose that option. Front staff very unprofessional and don't get me started on the manager Mayra!! They need to retrain her ASAP!!! SHE WAS NO HELP AND KEPT TELLING ME I WAS WRONG and following me outside to my car!!! Like forreal?? And mind u If I was someone else that can't control their anger.. we would have fought cuz why are u following me!! I called corporate multiple times, I made a complaint and till this day no one has reached out. Do better western dental BELLFLOWER LOCATION!! Update Mayra called me to start drama!! She also stated that they NOW want to refuse service cuz they feel intimidated. The owner replied on my review and still did nothing. Who do these girls think they are?? I will be speaking with the dental board now cuz this matter needs to be addressed, not just a simple reply on Google reviews.

Negative experience: Giving this one star rating is being generous! When my daughters were young, their plan was contracted with Western Dental, but a different location and I always had the worst experience experiences there. Now for myself, I decided to give them another try since this location is blocks away from where I live. I booked my appointment online and it gave me the option to add that appointment to my calendar which I did directly from their website. Saturday, November 15 at noon I showed for my dental appointment and signed in. I asked the receptionist if she needed my ID and my insurance cards since I was a new patient.. She had a little bit of a confused look on her face and asked my name which I told her, and she also. She looked in their computer system and said that I did not have an appointment. Maybe I could have booked at a different location.? I told her no, I did not. I booked it. This one. I confirm the address which was imported from their website appointment system to my phone when I booked the appointment.. Again, she advised me that I did not have an appointment. She could talk to someone and I could possibly be taken as a walk-in.. I advised her doing that would not be an option for me as the entire waiting area was filled with people, and I scheduled an appointment based on things that I had to do later that day. She went ahead and spoke with another young woman who then came out to advise me that I did not have an appointment, which I again explained everything to her, and the fact that when I booked that appointment their website allowed me to endpoint import the appointment into my phone calendar. That young lady proceeded to tell me that when you book an appointment online, it’s not necessarily an appointment until they call you and let you know that they have an opening at that date and time which made no sense to me. I told her that nowhere on their website doesn’t say that, and if the appointment in fact was not scheduled, why would it prompt me to add it to my calendar? I’ve booked online appointments with many other providers and those are not placeholders. They are actual appointments. I could tell that the conversation was going nowhere and she was not understanding or empathetic of the situation. I waited two weeks to have that appointment and to waste my afternoon, and I am extremely disappointed. They offered to book an appointment for me and I did tell them I would never return to western Dental. I should have went with my gut and never gave them another chance and this solidifies why I would never go there or recommend anyone do. Because I was so annoyed at the time wasted that day I later went online and booked a dummy appointment and nowhere on the website. Did it say this was a placeholder or it was not an appointment it gave me an actual appointment date and time and the option again to add it to my calendar.

Fantastic experience: Dr Gupta was a reassuring and competent Doctor. He inserted a titanium implant into my gums without any pain or complications. I would highly recommend him for your implant needs and this facility for your dental services.

Negative experience: I had a scheduled appointment at 1pm. So I arrived 10 minutes early. After waiting an 1 hour and 20 minutes, I told the front desk that waiting this long is absurd. My named got called at 2:35PM for a 1PM appointment. I had to wait 1 hour and 35 minutes. Once my name was called my teeth were cleaned pretty fast for my yearly check up. I felt they did a good job there. But Nobody should have to wait more than 30 minutes for their scheduled dentist appointment. This was a terrible experience. I won't be coming back and will begin looking for a new dentists office.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service... Patients are made to wait for over an hour just to be called into a room. There is no communication with the patients by front office staff yet they clearly see you waiting.

Negative experience: I went to get my braces changed &while the dental assistant was removing my wire she was speaking to another assistant while doing the process and I was not pleased I was bothered and upset that while doing my removal wire , she blamed me for the bracket falling because she was clearly distracted talking to the assistant when she should be focused on her work . This is unacceptable I don’t want to hear conversations that’s don’t matter to me also . I am there to get my work done and not risk an injury that could have become . Also the doctor has already told me my recommendations to do for my teeth , there was no reason for the lady assistant to tell me like 5 times what I should do when the doctor already told me . Like if I am deaf . Management this is unacceptable and you need to act correctly to discipline your assistants when they do work on there patients .

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience with the front office staff at this dental clinic. They were rude, dismissive, and showed a lack of care for patients’ concerns. It was clear they were not interested in helping solve any issues and did not prioritize patient care. I hope the management addresses this, because no one should have to deal with such unprofessionalism at a dental visit.

Negative experience: They’re unprofessional at all. After 2 hours waiting, they told me it’s lunch time and I have to come back after 1 hour.

Negative experience: If I could rate a negative I would. The front desk staff are very rude and can’t even smile say good morning or anything. They just hand you the clip board. They have favoritism here, they talk and be nice when they want to. I’m sorry but if you have no skills for handling how to treat clients then why the heck are you working in customer service no one wants to be seeing your mad face as if they don’t wish to be there, hello just quit! Corporate needs to really check this location and its employees. Sorry but the customer service here really needs to change! The good reviews are probably friends and family of the employees.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience getting my teeth deep cleaned at the Western Dental office in Bellflower, CA. Myra and the entire staff are very professional. No wonder the waiting room was booming with patients because the atmosphere was so pleasant. There was a small wait time, but well worth the wait! Dr. Vo was absolutely the best I’ve ever experienced in a Dentist. I was able to get out of his chair and 15 minutes later, eat a slice of pizza with comfort. That has never been done before. I will recommend him to anyone that I know who need their teeth cleaned. I will choose him and no one else. Thanks Western Dental.

Negative experience: I came here from someone's suggestion since they take Medical. Sure, the front desk staff was friendly, but I didn't come here to socialize. I needed proper dental care. I wish I didn't come here at all. To my regret, I had a horrible experience with their dentist. He is friendly and nice, but he did not listen to what I wanted. He is not interested in restorative procedures and he was really adamant about pulling my tooth out. I refused to have my tooth pulled out since the underlying tooth was still intact and it was not bothering me. I had another tooth that was moving, so he did not deep clean that. He even sold me the Gum-X product which is very expensive. I bought it thinking it might help me save my other tooth. But he sent the Gum-X tray to be made with the front tooth already missing, so I couldn't even use the upper tray. My other teeth that he didn't clean got severely infected, which he pulled out eventually. Not blaming him for that - it was just too late to save it. But now the Gum-X really isn't doing much in terms of healing my gums! And I'm still paying for this expensive crap. I just learned that the peroxide in Gum-X disrupts my oral microbiome so it does the opposite of helping heal gum disease. I write this review to educate other patients and to learn from my bad experience. If you are going to choose this office, beware and be careful before you agree with their dentist's recommendations.

Negative experience: Gave them 2 stars because they saw my daughter last minute for an emergency but at the following up appointment they had us wait over 45 minutes before I gave up and left. I think 45 minutes is unreasonable. Receptionist asked if I went to the window to let them know how long I waited but that's their job to check, I thought that's why we write arrival time at check in.

Negative experience: Don't come here they neglect and use no protection for your eyes they discrimate and they weren't efficient on even cleaning of the teeth wouldn't recommend

Negative experience: Had to wait about 2 hours after my appointment time and I had ro go back the following day to finish up my appointment. I wish they wouldn’t block schedule, because they don’t have enough staff or seats to see all of the people they scheduled.

Negative experience: I am beyond disappointed in how I was treated at the Western Dental located in Bellflower. I went in yesterday to get my wisdom teeth extraction because I am in a lot of pain and the lady at the front desk not sure if she was a treatment coorinder or a receptionist but she treated me very poorly. She was being very pushy for me to get a cosmetic procedure which wasnt covered by my insurance and I am a dental assistant myself and I am aware this procedure is not necessary. It felt like I was being gaslit. She was throwing out threats telling me if something goes wrong with me during my healing process that it would be my fault because I declined the PRF. She was also very rude to my driver (my sister). When my sister mentioned she to has worked for Western Dental and that she knows they are trained to push to get money out of people she got very upset and started telling the doctor that my sister was accusing them of being pushy. She also began questioning me asking me if I am really a dental assistant then why am I not getting this done at the office I work at. Not that I need to explain myself but I was in a lot of pain and I was already approved here but I do not understand why she needs to be questioning me. Her job is to check me in and make me sign my forms. Ive been coming to this location for the past 15 years but I am going to be filing a form complaint and leaving this office. Staff goes above and beyond to be rude.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are Awesome the treatment I get I be feeling kind of embarrassed but they made me feel real comfortable the Dr, Lupe and Mayra were really nice Mayra was very helpful helping me understand and set up my payment plan she was very detailed I have been coming to this location since 2018 and with this type of service they provide I will continue to come here

Positive experience: The wait was 1hour. My appointment was 4pm I arrived at 3:45pm I was not seen until 4:50 pm. Other patients who came in after me were seen before me. Other than that the visit was good.

The management here has been nothing but supportive in my journey towards improving my dental care and gum health. I started out feeling all this worry and uncertainty. However, Mayra has created a sense of certainty with her kind words of encouragement and notice of improvements in my alignment and overall development as I take this journey towards a smile I can be proud of.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been having great experiences with Western Dental but most importantly because of Mayra! She has been very helpful. I’m new to California and she made sure to fill me in with all the things I need to know. Mayra has been very nice and she has been keeping up with me to make sure I arrive to my appointments!

Negative experience: I went for a deep clean and cavity fill… it was my first time and I must say this place is worst than terrible . The ladies at the desk are horrible humans they won’t reply to u and just give u a dead stare. some lady was stamping around the office while patients are getting treated and yell at the doctors to hurry up and basically not take there time .. my doctor rushed my cleaning and I was done in less then ten seconds !!!! Thankfully he was able to do my cavity before some lady came barging in and yelling something .. this place is very very unprofessional … DO NOT GO HERE…. They need to hire more doctors or learn to work in a busy environment or they will lose customers … I am never coming back

Negative experience: ⚖️ So I had an appointment today at Western Dental and I have mixed feelings, some of the staff was kind treated patients well and was professional and others ,‍⚕️ like the dentist I had exam my mouth and go over my X-rays was very rude and I felt discriminated by him, he was not professional at all he seemed to mock me as well and proceeded to argue with me . I’m upset and shaken for multiple reasons, 1. I am on the spectrum so the lack of kindness and sensitivity really affects me … it also bother me the I informed them on my intake paperwork that I am on the spectrum so it’s alarming that no one went of my health issues and needs. 2. I am not stupid so why was I treated like I was, like I did not know my own body, I have special needs and have always never been average including my medical needs , so for that dentist to condescendingly man-splain the reasons he thinks I am wrong and what I was explaining seems to be impossible for him to except that he dose not know everything is more than infuriating… 3.I explained that I had 2 disabled children in the car waiting for me seemed to have no affect on his understanding that I could not do anything extra today I had to get back to my children , they were struggling in the car waiting and I need to schedule the rest of the appointments for another time and just go , but he proved to talk over me more than once , as if I didn’t say more than once that I need to get back to the car asap cause I have 2 disabled children Waiting and they didn’t feel well. 4. I felt scolded , and shamed by this dentist as well, my situation for the past 5 yrs has not been good for many reasons and I was financially and physically unable to care for my teeth the way I had before , I tried to explain my situation but he just proceeded to ignore what I was saying talk over me and seemed to be laying at me a little as he talked down to me . Im unfortunately no longer middle class and have horrible insurance and I’m forced to go to places like western dental…it is difficult having sub par dental care and bad dentists..

Negative experience: Don't waste your time here. They refused to remove my wisdom teeth because I didn't wanna opt in for the $1400 platelet rich plasma option. I know it's recommended but not necessary. My insurance paid for the extraction and sedation. That's all I needed! They are money hungry, beware!

Fantastic experience: The front desk staff and manager were friendly and helpful with getting my mom set up for her appointments and follow up care.

Fantastic experience: Staff were friendly, clean environment. Decent wait time with appointment. I did the patient paperwork prior to appointment which made it easier as I didn’t have to wait longer. In-n-Out.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment yesterday and noticed that the staff was very professional and detailed orientated. Mayra especially was very helpful in helping me find financial options for the procedure that I need/needed. I would gladly recommend this business to anyone who needs great dentistry work done.

Negative experience: Very unreliable when it comes to keeping appointments. I was shedule and waited for over 3 hours before being attended to. Then another 1 hour plus to been seen. This place is a joke and wast of my time. The staffs act like they don’t care. Horrible service. Never coming here again and I will not recommend.

Fantastic experience: The service given today was better than ever. I didn’t have to wait too long in the waiting room and was checked out fast. Dr. Vo was incredible, gave good description why i have pain in gums and how to fix it. The front desk ladies were very welcoming and had a great attitude, Gena and Myra were very helpful. I can say that the service was great and I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great place to come get dentist work all the staff here are very friendly. Monica is a great X-ray tech she took all my X-rays and photos fast and got them done the first time. Highly recommend this place if you live in Bellflower or near by.

Negative experience: Worst experience, unprofessional and dirty office. Went in for my son and husband check up they took 2hrs for nothing to be done. The dentist didn't seem to know what he was doing.

Fantastic experience: Yo, im a patient that went about a year without getting any dental treatment. I came in today for a deep cleaning. Very positive experience with the whole process. Dr.Vo is very professional and helpful . I trust his opinion. I strongly recommend Western Dental. I'm glad I made a decision to come here. I'm very much looking forward to follow up with check ups, cleaning etc. Thanks again Western Dental. Everyone who works here is great .
