Even though doing less treatment means less profit for the office, she always prioritizes what is truly best for my dental health. She never pushes unnecessary procedures and instead focuses on preserving my teeth in the healthiest way possible. What really sets her apart is how proactive she is about prevention. She takes the time to lay out a clear, long term roadmap for cavity prevention and overall dental health, so issues are addressed before they ever become real problems. Every recommendation feels thoughtful, honest, and genuinely patient focused. I also want to mention that Bay Park Pediatric Dentistry, located right downstairs, has been absolutely amazing for our two very young children (2 years old and 1 year old). The pediatric team is incredibly gentle, patient, and thoughtful, and somehow our kids stay calm and surprisingly do not even cry during visits. As parents, that means everything. Our entire family feels incredibly well cared for here. We trust this practice completely and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional dental care for both adults and young children. Simply the best dentist in San Diego!

And I’m so happy that I was referred to Dr. Miller. She is one of the nicest and kindest people that I’ve ever met. And she’s also a very skilled and an excellent dentist. And this goes for her team as well. They are all very confident and capable of their duties and positions. The doctors and staff are all really nice, easy going, and helpful. Every visit is always pleasant and super efficient. Debbie/the front desk team are amazing and always willing to help accommodate difficult schedules. Dr. Miller is really talented and so thoughtful/practical with her treatment plans. (We asked her to fix a chip in my husband's teeth that another dentist had done a sloppy job on, and I could NOT believe how different it looked. see pics for before and after...!) The office/facilities are very clean as well and they have amenities and little touches that add to the experience. (Refreshments/snacks while you wait, ceiling TVs while you have your appointments, and it always smells good in there!) Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We recently switched to BP Dental after our previous dentist retired. The staff is friendly and makes sure that you are comfortable and are very accommodating. They provide a comfort menu which includes noise cancelling headphones, streaming services, aroma therapy, nitrous oxide, etc... They keep you informed during the treatment process and are always willing to answer questions. My last visit was for a cavity under a crown and I was impressed that they make their own crowns in the office, eliminating the need for a temp crown and a second visit. Dr. Miller was happy to explain the crown making process in detail (at my request). Extremely satisfied with BP Dental and highly recommended!

Everyone there was fantastic, from the girl who answered the phone, to the dental assistant and doctor. Super warm and friendly and very professional. I've had great teeth cleanings, by Kelly, who also did a deep cleaning for me. My gums were really inflamed and look and feel so much better now! I have had extensive work done over the last several years and they have given me my smile back. Dental work is never fun, but this team made the experience tolerable and they even provided me with great referrals for specialists I required. Did I mention they have nitrous oxide? The receptionists, Alana & Debbie, update my insurances before I even think to; my hygienist, Jenae, is thorough and courteous and always a good conversation; the dentists are always friendly (today I had Dr. Yamaguchi, very kind soul!); and they offer all kinds of little amenities while they work, like Netflix, headphones, even aromatherapy. Overall, they make going to the dentist SO easy, if not a little fun. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We love Bay Park Dental. We have been with them for over 10 years. Had to cancel due to an emergency and with the help of their updated website, they rescheduled us with the first cancellation. And we absolutely love the new decor!!

Negative experience: It’s very misleading and I’m very disappointed. I’ve reached out through a feedback form and directly through email but no response. Alana, the office manager had told me, ” it would’ve cost 1500 (to get the rest of my fillings done out of pocket) and that I’m “throwing money away if I didn’t take advantage of the procedure before my benefits ended at the end of the month.” So I make a follow up appointment thinking I’m getting the rest of the fillings covered 100% with my remaining secondary insurance. When I get to my appointment, I had to ask specifically how much each tooth would cost with insurance coverage. Asked to see breakdown of the costs only after I had gotten local anesthesia (for a procedure for fillings). Debbie another front desk person had made me sign a waiver saying that I’m aware of the costs whether I decided on procedure with the fillings or not The treatment with Dr Tessa Miller is ok, I just wish I was given correct information before I had gotten a procedure was done instead of giving me false hope that insurance would cover the costs at 100%.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at BP Dental Group and I had a great experience. The dental teach was amazing and very knowledgeable. Dr. Susie was very friendly and helped me address an issue with a solid game plan. My family has decided to make BP Dental our provider moving forward.

Fantastic experience: I switched here after my old dentist retired. I appreciated Dr. Miller's thoroughness with my first appointment in reviewing the x-rays they got from my previous dentist. She explained to me the teeth she was concerned about and why, the plan to continue to monitor them, and what I could do to improve the situation. I really appreciated this because a long time ago I had a dentist at another practice tell me I needed dental work that I didn't need... There was an issue with them being able to open the electronic files for my x-rays sent over, but Dr Miller's keen eye figured out what the issue was and resolved it. I'm looking forward to continuing at this practice. Update: I’ve been going here about 2 years now and they’ve been great with more extensive dental work I’ve needed as well as routine cleanings. A huge shoutout to Janae because at my last appointment she used some type of sponge/splint while doing my teeth cleaning that made it way more comfortable to keep my mouth open for long periods of time.

Fantastic experience: I have lived in San Diego County 45 years. All My visits to Bay Park Dental Group have been great and I highly recommend them. Today I was expecting a cavity because of a lot of candy. No cavity was seen. Julianna (RDH) has a very professional approach to her work and my teeth are feeling much better thanks to her excellent skills. DDS Sussi Yamaguchi, solved a sleep apnea problem saving me time & money. The office receptionists are very friendly & welcoming. The rooms are very clean, modern & comfortable. You will be well cared for in this office!

At every step, from making an appointment to having my cleaned to having a corrective procedure to providing information and support, everyone was kind, caring, patient, and informed. The office ambiance was calm and soothing, too. They have created a “Comfort Menu” from which a patient can enjoy extra support such as headphones for music or Netflix, neck pillows, aromatherapy, and more. My corrective surgery was complicated but Dr. Opilka, Dr. Miller, and the wonderful support staff made the experience a positive one. Bay Park Dental is terrific and thanks to my daughter’s and a good friend’s recommendations, I’m relieved to be in good hands.

Negative experience: Bottom line, I do not recommend this dental practice. It’s been made clear to me they care more about profit than patients. Trying to milk my insurance with unnecessary diagnostics when I’m not having any issues, was told I’m required to get X-rays, that I respectfully declined, to remain a patient. I was just in for a regular cleaning and had no other issues. A bit ridiculous.

Update: I’ve been going to Bay Park Dental group for about 2 years now. I am just as happy as the first time I visited. They are very cautious right now-taking precautionary measures to ensure a safe visit during COVID-19 which really goes to show that they care about their patients! My hygienist, Kelly, does such a great job cleaning my teeth and she is gentle and very knowledgeable with any questions I have. They are also right by Mission Bay which is a nice view driving home :) I even referred my husband to them. Thank you so much Bay Park Dental! Update: oops!! Life happened to me and I went ghost mode on my dental health. I finally got a cleaning after being on a hiatus for 2 years! We moved to Temecula and I am a loyal patient-I will continue to drive out to San Diego for this place!! It’s been upgraded since I was last here and looks so beautiful inside! Well deserved-this dental office works hard to keep us happy and stress free when it comes to dental health! They also have new technology (so cool) and new everything! Same building. Update: second visit today with dental hygienist Julianna and I am super happy with how clean my teeth are after being taken care of by her! I have no anxiety about the dentist because of how seamless they make the experience. Today I tried out the melon fluoride treatment and it’s my favorite flavor now. I still enjoy driving out to San Diego even if it’s just my routine cleaning at the dentist. The golden hour views of the ocean from their office are worth it. You guys are the best!

Fantastic experience: Switched dentist because I felt like there wasn’t much of an exam at my previous one. I came to bay park dental group and they proved that correct. I normally spent no more than 20 min for a full cleaning and exam. At the bay park dental group they took the full hour to do a digital exam, gum and teeth exam, cleaning and follow up on how to improve issues on anything they found. Updated and clean office with all new equipment. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: The best dentists I have had in over 60 years of dentists! Not only saved me enormous amounts of money from unnecessary work advised by another dentist, but are very conscious of my gagging problems. Dr Miller and her assistants are exceptional high quality.

Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk in the door, you feel as if you're entering a luxury dental experience. I was quickly brought back to start my new patient process. They have the most high tech x-rays, tools, scanners, and systems. My dental hygienist worked as if she was a skilled surgeon. She continuously checked on me to make sure I was comfortable and took her time with my care. Doctor Miller was exceptional. She was thoughtful, caring, and an extremely knowledgable dentist. I have never had someone break down the ins and outs of self dental care as well as her. Such an amazing dentist and staff. They have elevated the dental experience with their level of customer service and dental knowledge. On a side note, they also do dental pediatrics downstairs, and my toddler left there wanting to be a dentist!

Fantastic experience: Bay Park Dental Group has been such a pleasure to go to! When my wife and I first moved to San Diego, we struggled to find a dentist that offered a wide range of dental services. Since becoming patients, we have used many of their services ranging from general dental check-ups, to restorative, cosmetic, and orthodontic dentistry. In addition to bi-annual check-ins, I personally have gotten fillings, a crown, and teeth whitening while my wife has gotten Invisalign and teeth whitening. We've ALWAYS been happy with our results! Bay Park Dental Group recently did a major remodeling with new furniture, dental chairs, and dental machines so the office is extremely clean and well kept. I'm impressed with the new technology they use for exams from x-ray machines to the Invisalign SmileView which shows you a simulation of what your teeth may look like after using Invisalign! The staff at Bay Park Dental Group is also one of a kind. As soon as you walk in you'll meet a smiling Debbie who coordinates everything from checking-in, next appointment, and payments. The dental assistants and hygienists from Alana to Amanda and Janae, to name a few, are always thorough and gentle with the cleaning. Thank you for always taking care of my teeth! Lastly, I am checked by Dr. Miller who is the most compassionate and professional dentist in San Diego. She always performs a thorough exam and clearly explains anything of concern. Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Miller and my experience with her team for the past 5 years. From the start, Dr. Miller and her team made me feel completely at ease. I started my Invisalign treatment 2 years ago and they explained perfectly the process and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. Dr. Miller's expertise ensured that my treatment plan was tailored perfectly to my needs, and the results have exceeded my expectations. Dr. Miller’s office is welcoming, with a friendly staff that always makes me feel like a priority. Debbie, Jenae, Josh.. they are all very professional and kind.

Negative experience: Would not recommend this place. The dentists and hygienists were great but I'm not happy with the professionalism of this business. They mis-quoted me and ended up leaving me with a bill much higher than I was comfortable with AFTER the work had already been done leaving me no choice but to pay. After being on a payment plan for almost a year, I came to find out they were still charging me after I had paid off the full amount. Overall, just not satisfied with this place. Will be finding a new provider which is unfortunate as I did like the dentist I was working with.

Fantastic experience: I moved here from out of state 3 years ago, took a few tries to find a good dental group and this place is one of the best experiences iv had. Their practice is very modern aswell as their equipment, they work with you and overall actually care about their patients unlike other offices that try to just get money out of you. Iv made this my go to place and really appreciate the way their staff treats me. So far they have done alot of work with me and it's all very well done by Dr. Miller.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited to establish care after moving from the Midwest, and to get my 6 month cleaning. It was a great experience! Love the hygienist and dentist that I saw. Very informative, very professional and friendly. Nice office, great environment. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist. Editing to add that I have TMJ and have recently gotten masseter Botox here for treatment. This was also a great experience, very reasonably priced and they do their best to get you in quickly when possible. Very happy with this dentist office - I can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my toddlers here for a year now and have been pleased each visit. They’re so calm and great with my 2 and 3 year old. They truly make the experience fun and enjoyable for them, they’re patient and silly with the kids to make them comfortable.
