Fantastic experience: I’m posting this review for my mom Carolynn Wolflick. She’s 94 and had to have four teeth extracted And a bone graft done. As you can imagine we were all pretty anxious about the procedure. But every staff member every Tech and Dr. Shelton were perfection. She’s on blood thinners and had very little bleeding. Was eating that day soft foods. Was even asking for a cookie which I had to deny her. I can’t thank them enough and would refer them over and over and over again, especially with your most precious cargo, you’re 94-year-old mother.

Fantastic experience: Extraction of molars is often difficult. Dr Koshgerian makes it an easy experience. It was removed quickly and not traumatic. The next day I felt no pain or swelling. He's also done a number of implanrs.

Positive experience: I needed initial oral surgery to treat an infection and a failed implant. At the same time, two additional implants were placed with bone grafts. One implant required a sinus lift. The surgery was throughly explained and all questions were answered. My anesthesia was excellent, I felt no pain. My follow-up care was excellent, and my recovery went smoothly. Four months later, I had a second oral surgery. Two additional implants were placed with bone grafts. My experience was the same as the first. This office is extremely professional and highly skilled. If oral surgery is needed, I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Koshgerian gave me solid advice of the best way to handle my situation without forcing a solution. Fantastic experience: Everybody welcomed me like an old friend. A must admit some trepidation, with three teeth to be removed for implants. The procedure took quite a bit of time, but I felt no pain whatsoever. I was able to drive home, and the bleeding stopped on schedule later in the evening. Although I was offered pain medicine, I did not require anything (even Tylenol). I slept fine , and the next morning was able to eat a normal breakfast. I am extremely satisfied.

Fantastic experience: Alvarado location. The surgical staff was very welcoming. They brought me a blanket and pillow. The assistant stated his years of experience and certification in ACLS. As a long time emergency department clinician, I would say that is an excellent practice. My questions were answered. Post procedure pain was zero. Edema zero. Dr. Koshgerian is very good with patients and creates a relaxing and calming environment. The expense of this procedure is worth every penny when the care is highly competent - safe - exceptional. The results are excellent. Health care of any kind can at times be precarious- but not with this physician! Great experience.

I was quite nervous about needing a bone graft and implant, but the entire staff made me feel comfortable the minute I walked in. The office was clean and Arianna and Kristy greeted me with a smile. Fantastic experience: Dr Koshgerian and his team are WONDERFUL! From that first consultation I knew I was in good hands. I have terrible anxiety and dental procedures make it worse. Dr and his team made sure to address all my concerns and even prescribe some medicine for the morning of before arriving. I genuinely do not remember a single thing except waiting maybe 2 mins in the waiting area and having an IV in. The last thing I heard was something along the lines of “I’m putting the anesthesia in, you’ll start to feel a little-“ and suddenly I was home again he even called me that evening from his personal phone to check on me! It’s day two and I have minimal swelling, pain is easily managed with the meds they prescribed and ice! I cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I came here to resolve a failing implant. I walked in with particular challenges to being anesthetized comfortably during the procedure. Not only did Dr. Shelton and his team listen to me, they came up with a plan that would work for me. They allowed me to have a voice in how to make the procedure go well and came up with alternatives to support my voice. My procedure went fantastic! A year later, my implant looks great, there is no sign of bone loss or any other kind of degradation. Thank you again!

My oral surgery operation was quick, painless, and all my needs were taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Having never had any dental extractions before, I was apprehensive about my appointment for the removal of 4 teeth under local anesthetic. However, it turned out to be a day of surprises. Everyone in the office was so supportive as I'm certain they could tell I had fear. But the procedure went so quickly I hardly had time to react. Dr. Koshgerian administered the several injections of anesthetic with absolutely no pain or discomfort. Then, during the 10 or 15 minutes of waiting for the anesthetic to take effect, instead of leaving me alone with my thoughts one of the dental staff stayed with me, engaging me in conversation that distracted and calmed my mind. The actual removal procedure was totally painless and over in a few minutes. Dr. Koshgerian was kind and so personable and kept checking with me to see how I was doing. And then it was over! Could hardly believe it. No bad reaction from any part of the procedure and the instructions given to me afterwards covered any and all questions I had and guided me through the first few days of recovery which also gave me no problems. Cannot say enough good things about this excellent group of surgeons and their wonderful and thoughtful staff.

Fantastic experience: I volunteer to write this review even though my treatment is not complete as Dr. Paul has only put in the implant two weeks ago and I have to wait for a while before Dr. Paul gives me the green light to get the crown. What impress me most from Dr. Paul is his thoroughness and efficiency or effectiveness or whatever you may call it. He had a treatment plan for me as seen as I consulted with him. He is so convincing that I saw him on Tuesday and got the implant surgery on Thursday. His team had everything ready starting from all the prescribed medications sent to my pharmacy before I even left his office on that Tuesday. All the dosage was clear and there was no need to ask any questions. Since he is an MD in addition to being an implant surgeon, he concurrently administered all the anesthetics himself. Everything went smoothly and I never use any of the pain medication post surgery. In brief he exceeded my expectations in every way. This is my fourth implant and the first one with him. He also comes with a fabulous team at the front desk. They answer all my questions regarding billing and they were 100% correct about what insurance would charge me and they were perfect. Next year I intend to complete my last implant with him. He is also very honest and he repeatedly asks whether there are questions for him. Long live Dr. Paul and his team… He truly understands the meaning of empathy and his team understands that… all of them.

Fantastic experience: I had seven much needed extractions completed here. From the consultation to post operation I was given very clear information on costs and the procedure. By following the instructions I have experienced very little pain and so far no swelling. I highly recommend The Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Specialist. I hope to not ever need them again but if I do I won't hesitate to call them immediately.

Negative experience: Get ready to pay $196 for a consultation that they don’t fully disclose. If you’re insurance doesn’t cover a consult, you’ll end up paying the full amount. I got a lovely bill in the mail 4 months after I went in for a second opinion. I paid out of pocket with a “discount” for the CT scan, then an additional $79 dollars toward the consultation. At that point I was already there and I really wanted a second opinion. The person taking my x-ray and sales person, including the surgeon were extremely nice. That’s the only reason why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I called to get a reason for the bill and was told my insurance doesn’t cover it. Clearly I was frustrated and was told it’s $196 for a 10 minute consultation because the surgeon “went to school for 12 years and his time is valuable”. I completely understand that time is valuable for other surgeons in the area have free consults and I did pay for the imaging and a portion of the consultation. I ended up going elsewhere. Oh also, they quoted me $3000+ for the implants, they also push sedation, and the place I went to was the same place I have always gone to and paid $1700 for the same procedure with excellent surgeons that also went to school for a long time. So at the end of the day, if you want to go here and get wild quotes and bait and switch tactics come here. Again, might be the finance people here and the doctor has no idea. Either way, it’s a PASS for me.
