Experiencia negativa: Doctor Durbin is extremely pompous and disrespectful. I had enough and switched to another practice after going there 10 years. His response to my review is a perfect example. His team is phenomenal, he’s the problem!

Experiencia fantástica: 5 stars is honestly not enough for how well my experience with Dr. Durbin and all of his staff was. His front desk staff was sweet as can be, patient, and had no problems answering any questions I may have had. Upon arrival that sweetness just continued from the front desk to the dental assistant that I spoke with. Then it came time to meet Dr. Durbin, he not only showed me everything going on but explained it in a way that did not make me feel ashamed but informed and ready for a plan. He is the first dentist I have ever encountered who brought me into an office to have a really full conversation about everything going on and wanted to talk through my anxieties, and I could not have appreciated that level of care more! I am a high anxiety person and had avoided the dentist for longer than I would like to admit. As far as I am concerned, Dr. Durbin and has wonderful staff have absolutely set the standard in dental care. This office is where you want to go for true dental CARE. I could rant for days about how well it has gone for me but instead I'll say that both me and my family will never go anywhere else but here!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give a 0 star then I would. The dentist way overcharged my wife for her procedure. When we addressed them about it, they keep saying they are waiting on another claim to go through. With that being said, we have been physically in the dentist office multiple times asking questions about the billing and keep getting the same answer. We sent the claim, we are waiting on your insurance. Months later we ask again and was told they had to mail the claim to our insurance. Today we call our insurance and were told the dentist never called them about mailing the claim or anything about the claim. We are at our wits end with this dentist. It may have to come down to legal actions.

Experiencia negativa: I loved going here until recently, Dr. Durbin is fantastic and his dental hygienist are great too, my problem was his front desk staff. I have called multiple times and when someone does answer the phone they say they write my name and number down to be contacted back and they never call. That was the first time so I gave the benefit of the doubt because maybe they got busy and couldn’t return my call. That’s okay. Then it happened 2 more times, same thing supposedly wrote my name down and never called back. The 4th time I called it was after my appointment wanting to see if I could switch my insurance around, of course it was the woman who checked me out that day at my appointment and was incredibly rude named April. I gave her some grace that day just because I know how customer service is and maybe she was having a bad day so I forgot about it and moved on. I ended up calling Mortenson to schedule an appointment with them instead just because of past experience with this practice. Then yesterday I called to have my records sent over to Mortenson and what do you know the same woman April answers the phone, at first she was nice then all of a sudden the attitude came out and her customer service went out the door. It was so bad I had her on speaker so me and my supervisor could figure out the schedule for other Dr. appointments and my supervisor was absolutely astonished by the audacity of this woman over the phone. She has never heard someone with such bad customer service. It was to the point where I was over it because that’s not the first time but the second time you’re going to have an attitude with a client who says they are trying to leave your practice and you aren’t even going to try to keep that client. Not sure where the training went other than out the door? Not trying to have April lose her job or anything I just think there needs to be better training on customer service if you’re going to work at a front desk where you speak with people all day. This is where this practice clearly lacks. Best wishes.

April, who took my call, went above and beyond to make sure I was okay through the entire process. She never rushed me and truly cared about how I was feeling, which meant more than I can put into words. Dr. Durbin is an incredible dentist—patient, understanding, and compassionate. As a former addict, dental visits can be extremely anxiety-provoking for me, but he made me feel valued not just as a patient, but as a human being. There was absolutely no judgment, only respect and professionalism. Rachelle, the dental hygienist, was equally amazing. She was gentle, reassuring, and explained everything in a way that helped calm my nerves. And a special shout-out to Libby, the sweet support animal, who brought so much comfort just by being there. This office sets the standard for what compassionate healthcare should look like. If you’re someone who struggles with anxiety, past addiction, or just wants to be treated with dignity and care, I highly recommend this team.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been coming to Durbin Dental for years and they have always taken such good care of my kids with their regular check ups and occasional fillings. But this past week we had an emergency after a bike accident that left one of our kiddos with broken front teeth. Dr. Durbin was able to fit her in same day, even with all the holiday chaos, and was able to repair her teeth to ease the pain and help her not have to ask Santa for two front teeth ❤️. Thank you so much for all you do. We will keep coming here for all our kiddos!

I appreciate his office and level of care that he and staff provide. Durbin dental is one of the best dental offices in the Elizabethtown area. The staff is friendly, the equipment is current and the office decor feels bright and inviting.

My husband was in for a routine visit, but because they knew him as a person, they knew something was not guite right and got him medical care right away. Experiencia fantástica: Updating my review to explain why Dr. Durbin has been our dentist for ten years now. Today I had two small cavities filled which seemed to be something that could happen without anesthesia. As a person with dental procedure anxiety, I was hesitant but willing to try. Unfortunately, once Dr. Durbin began to drill into cavity #2, he noticed it was more of an issue than would have been previously known. With complete calm professionalism, he and his assistant, Asia, seemlessly moved toward numbing the area and working on that second cavity. I continue to appreciate the care and attention I receive at Durbin Dental. Today was just one more example of why our family values our ongoing relationship with Dr. Durbin's practice.

Experiencia fantástica: Been to so many dentists in my lifetime. There is one in Elizabethtown, Kentucky that I will never go to again that’s a national owned company and was put on a ventilator for two days. When I went to Dr. Durbin with my concerns, he was very nice and Made me very comfortable. I have had a lot of work done over the years, but Dr. Durbin pretty much listen to what I wanted and made it come true. Keep in mind, dental work is always expensive, but The pricing is what I’ve already spent on my teeth over the last 10 years. It’s very hard to find a dentist and a team that are all rooting for you.. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Very pleased with work so far, have more to be done. Think I wrote the first review in March and it is now November. Had to have several teeth removed and partials made. Just finished it all up today. Had to wait for some swelling to go down before the final partials were made. The end result is amazing. Highly recommend Dr Durbin and his staff is wonderful.

Experiencia fantástica: My son appreciated Rachel explaining everything to him. Especially about the plaque and the inflammation cause in his gums. She explained how if we catch things now that we can prevent things later in life. She didn't want to cause any pain she numbed his gums and did it to bereavement and cleaning and schedule an appointment for a couple weeks out to get a really good cleaning once his gums set calm down. Schedule his next appointment with her and look forward to his next appointment instead of not wanting to go.

Experiencia negativa: My family including my 4 children have been going here for about 12 years maybe longer. We have waited for several months to get appointments when the staffing was a problem. We have gladly rescheduled to help out when the staff or doctor had an emergency or issue causing us to be inconvenienced by having to change days or times. Today the office told me that my son missed an appointment and I would be charged 75$ . We have not been habitual over the years missing appointments and with my husband and my work schedule sometimes things happen. They however will not happen again here in this office. It is unfortunate that customer care is a thing of the past for faithful customers. This office clearly cares more about the revenue from the paitent than the patient themselves .. I am sure it cost money to have an opening but after all the money that has been made from my entire family for this office and all of the times we have waited past our appointment time or waited in the back because of what ever reason or been rescheduled because of their staffing it seems like charging patients 75$ is a bit over the top.

Dr Durbin and the entire staff were professional, kind and caring. They went above and beyond to accommodate my anxiety and provide excellent care.

Experiencia negativa: This dentist is milking Veterans Affairs for thousands of dollars for unnecessary work. I asked what procedure were going to be done, and was told me he had a blank check from VA. We discussed what procedures was going to be done and when the crowns were in called to schedule an appointment. Once in the chair he told me the lab was not able to fabricate what was discussed. Needless to say they didn’t fit and had to be cut off. Please report his wrong doings to Office Of Inspector General, and to VHA Finance Of Central Region.
