Experiencia fantástica: This clinic is 10/10 top-notch! Dr. Van Ryn, his secretary Jaylin, and his various assistants are exactly what I was looking for in my dental care. I have had a lot of work done over the years and needed to find a place I could return for regular maintenance. I couldn't be happier with them. They are patient, attentive, caring, detail-oriented, and customer service oriented. One salient example of their 10/10 status occurred when I submitted the wrong version of my Delta Dental insurance. The covered amount of my root canal was therefore miscalculated, and I was surprised to receive an automatic email saying I needed to pay several hundred more. When I brought this up to Jaylin, he conferred with Dr. Van Ryn and said "don't worry about giving us more money; it was our duty to make sure we were submitting to the correct insurance." I was blown away. The cleaning was very thorough, the endodontist recommendation was fantastic, and the crown was well-made. Dr. Van Ryn is fantastic at finding nerves to numb you up fast. He's also efficient with his time, and you're not in the chair for long. Please come to this clinic for your dental care. You won't be disapppointed!

Experiencia positiva: 5 stars for Dr. Patel and hygienist Monica has an extremely gentle touch. The reason I gave 3 stars is because Dr. Van Ryn was very pushy and made me feel uncomfortable. I don't think a dentist should be pressuring you to get work done that you are not ready to get done. If I was not able to change to Dr. Patel, I would have left the practice entirely.

Experiencia fantástica: 4/14 Just had my semi annual cleaning with Jennifer H. cleaning was incredible as she used a water pik like apparatus that provided a more detailed cleaning of my gums besides the traditional cleaning of my teeth. Jennifer was friendly, she provided ideas for better cleaning in between my back molars especially all while making the visit relaxing and stress free! See you in 6 months.

Experiencia negativa: I was a patient from another forward dental that shut down. I called to see if I could be seen at the brookfield office and the lady I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. I called back later and spoke to a different person who was very nice, I mentioned my call from earlier and I was told that I spoke with the manager Ranae. I haven't even had the chance to go into the office and it started off on a bad note. Not happy.

Experiencia negativa: The place itself and staff is great. As for their billing services and reps, horrible experience. I have been dealing with a bill since June. A bill that I paid in full at the time of service. I’ve spoken to multiple reps there. Some tell me that I should be reimbursed due to incorrect codes. Then today, I get told that the bill is for a different service that was done for my husband. Like seriously! I will not be going back.

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE OFFICE MANAGER! I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at this dental office, specifically due to the conduct of the office manager, Renae. Her communication style was unprofessional, dismissive, and at times outright offensive!! As a patient, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy especially in a healthcare setting but unfortunately, that was not the case. The way she spoke to me (and others I witnessed) was completely inappropriate and lacked the professionalism you would expect from someone in a leadership role. I hope the practice takes this feedback seriously and addresses these concerns, as no patient should be made to feel UNCOMFORTABLE or DISRESPECTED when seeking care.

There are many forward dental locations closer to me and I still make the drive to this location because of her and the great staff here.

Experiencia negativa: First time at this location but have been going to another location previously, switched due to moving. With autoimmune disorders or even someone undergoing radiation treatment- it’s common to get canker sores. Came in today for a cleaning and was told I would need to reschedule after being there for an hour already with X-rays due to having a canker sore. The hygienist, I think her name is Stephanie, noted that it’s due to bacteria that can get in the air and impact staff. Canker sores are not contagious and caused by one’s own immune system attacking itself. It’s a known issue and has been documented in my chart for several visits that carried over to this location from my previous one that I am prone to them. The dentist came in and then said the reason was because they didn’t want to cause me pain because of it being on my lip. They didn’t even have a consistent reason between staff for turning me away but wanted me to reschedule due to this. Again, I was there for about an hour & they want me to come back for an issue I can’t control that isn’t contagious. I took time off work for this. If you have any autoimmune disorder & are prone to canker sores- do not go here. They will turn you away for this. At this point I will now need to drive an hour to my old location just to get a cleaning for being prone to canker sores due to an autoimmune disorder. What a waste of time & honestly quite discriminatory.

Experiencia positiva: The dentist and my hygienist are wonderful. The only problems blame I have, overall with Forward Dental is incorrect billing almost every time. They either overfill and send A check 6 mos later. My insurance covers routine exams at 100%. I also have secondary insurance, that would cover the difference, if needed. My Delta Dental reps have called direct, and explained lain if something was submitted wrong, and help the billing person, do the correction. However, after all that I get bills, which are not correct

This is a big deal for us, as she hated the other dentists we have tried and this is the first time she sat through a cleaning. I received a statement for $500 for a simple cleaning and x-rays because they did not apply my insurance. Their billing department refuses to answer ANY phone calls at any point during the day. I've called well over 20 times. Scheduling is the only department who picks up and they just put in requests for a callback that never comes. I finally got an updated statement and still am being asked to pay $200.00 for a cleaning visit. I have never had to pay for a cleaning visit in my life with this insurance. Avoid if first time patient.

Experiencia negativa: I had a routine teeth cleaning where my regular dentist had left the practice. I was randomly assigned to Dr. Naiya S. Pate for the final checkout. During this brief encounter, Dr. Pate informed me I had a cavity in my front teeth and needed a crown. This diagnosis concerned me because: No x-rays were taken during the appointment I experienced no pain or discomfort in that area Dr. Pate provided minimal explanation about the diagnosis Since English is my second language and I felt uncertain about this diagnosis, I decided to seek a second opinion at another dental office. The second dentist examined my teeth thoroughly and found no cavity in my front teeth. It has now been almost a year since that initial diagnosis, and my tooth remains perfectly fine. I'm sharing this experience to encourage others, especially those who may face language barriers during medical consultations, to trust their instincts and seek second opinions when diagnoses don't seem right. Always ask for thorough explanations and visual evidence (like x-rays) when receiving unexpected dental diagnoses.

However, there are a lot of back office issues with not being able to find my records from my orthodontist and a lot of insurance issues that should not have interrupted my first time visit. Then the billing department used the incorrect address and my claim was denied through my insurance so now I am dealing with that. I’ve called multiple times to the front desk and to the billing department, and there is no answer during business hours. There is also no office manager to speak with. Now they are sending me a $500 bill for a billing error on their end. They were also supposed to send me emails for referrals after my visit and I still haven’t gotten those emails six days later. Those little annoyances are not what i what i expect as a customer and first time patient. The office seems a very unorganized.

Never received an invoice and only received a notification from the credit agency over a year later. Ignoring the fact that I had dental insurance with them on file. This place is a scam.
