Experiencia negativa: I went in for a initial consultation & was denied service because I was wheelchair bound & was not told empathetically that I wouldn’t be seen by them nor did the dentist give me any recommendations to other fellow dentists to consider who may be a better fit for me & my specific care. Dentist was dismissive & disrespectful on my side of the situation & was ignoring my concerns & spoke to my mother & nurse rather than directing the conversation to me, her actual patient. The waiting area is also very tiny & wasn’t particularly wheelchair friendly. If you are considering being a patient here, be sure you are not a patient with special needs (wheelchair bound) like me, I wouldn’t recommend this clinic.

The doctor’s aggressive treatment recommendation also made me uncomfrotable. I did not feel she was willing to entertain alternative options. On the positive side, the office was diligent about following up after my appointment. However, the overall experience felt more focused on moving me toward treatment than helping me make an informed decision.

I can’t thank her enough. Also, I got a permanent crown that day. Gisele even help me pick out the right color for my crown. It looks great. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first appt on 11/21/2025. I knew I was going to have a longer visit bc it was my first appt. The front desk staff were very kind and welcoming. The dental assistant was very nice as well. Dr. Chi Mba, DDS was very kind and personable. She informed me I’d need a deep cleaning. The front desk staff came in and reviewed what my insurance covered. (REMINDER: REVIEW YOUR OWN DENTAL INSURANCE TO HAVE AN IDEA IF YOU’LL NEED TO PAY FOR ANYTHING.) The cleaning didn’t hurt me(I do have a higher pain tolerance). She did let me know I could inform her if anything hurt and was understanding if I was in pain. I appreciate her not trying to push the wisdom teeth removal conversation on me. My visit was about an hour total. 10/10 office and staff. I definitely will continue my dental care at Chi Family Dental.

Experiencia negativa: I was very unhappy with the Service and the way that the dentist cleaned my teeth. I felt like I was being ripped off because they weren’t providing the services that I was paying for 1.) fluoride they never did it when they cleaned my teeth 2.) there was never a hygienist to clean my teeth 3.) the dental assists didn’t know what they were doing as far as scaling and the dentist did not do any scaling at all. I mentioned it to the dentist she made it perfectly clear she was going to do things her way and that was the way she was going to do it despite it not being the norm I was paying for a periodontal cleaning and really felt like I was just getting a regular cleaning. Was supposed to be on a periodontal treatment plan and they would never measure the gums. Spend your money else where.

However, I do feel there could be a bit more empathy shown toward younger patients. My 12-year-old son had a baby tooth extracted today, and unfortunately, the process was a bit rough for him. He waited about 45 minutes in the room before the doctor arrived, and the numbing cream was applied only at the time of the extraction. After just a few minutes, the tooth was pulled, and he experienced a lot of pain. He was in tears once we got to the car. While I see this as an important lesson for him about the value of proper dental hygiene, I do think allowing more time for the numbing agent to take effect could have made the procedure more comfortable. On a positive note, my 15-year-old had a great experience at the same visit. Overall it was well!!

So i search under Delta Dental to find me a dentist and i stubbled over to Dr. Chi family dental. I called made an appointment and they gave me a breakdown as to what needs to be done. I went in today 01/16/2025 to get started on my dental work. I have negative zero tolerance for needles and pain. But I must say the Dentist did a great job. Yes i was nervous about going to the dentist. But she was great, I went in at 200pm and she ws done with 4 fillings around 238pm. And now i have to make another appointment for my next three fillings. Great job Dr.

Experiencia negativa: $18,471 was my quote. That Sienna tax rolling really deep inside those walls. I'm stunned they presented this to me with a straight face. Find somewhere else, this place is ridiculous! Update Oct 31, 2024 Found an alternate solution that was less than 25% of the quote Chi gave us. Had to travel outside of the bubble, but well worth it. If i were you, id find an alternate provider. Complete money grab attempt!

Experiencia negativa: A simple tooth extraction lead to my husband being in the hospital for 2 weeks and rehab for three weeks. And in truth he never fully recovered. He died 9 months later. Does anyone see this review? This is the only review with no number of views. Do I need to post elsewhere?

Experiencia fantástica: My mother-in-law visited us from out of state and one of her teeth broke rather badly. Dr. Chi and her staff made themselves available on short notice (less than 1 business day), performed imaging and examination, and gave my MiL valuable advice regarding other potential dental problems, despite their unrelatedness to her broken tooth. Dr. Chi and her staff proceeded to stay for ninety minutes after the office closed to finish performing a root canal and applying a crown in order to spare my MiL considerable pain, swelling, and possibly infection. In sum, this clinic’s accommodation of my MiL’s urgent treatment needs exceeded any reasonable expectation and was, additionally, kind and compassionate. Put differently, they bent over backwards to help an elderly woman who would have been in severe pain and was without access to her own dentist or, tragically, insurance coverage. A glowing review is the least support I could lend to a small business demonstrating such admirable values. Thank you Dr. Chi and staff.

Experiencia negativa: I came for a regular cleaning. Dr chi recommended a deep cleaning. I just wanted a regular cleaning. Turns out she’ll only do what she recommends, so I left. A waste of my time. My recommendation is avoid this location, unless you like to be forced to have certain procedures done. I spoke to another dentist. They are willing to do the regular cleaning although.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in for a root canal and a crown, got it done within the same day. I was extremely nervous but the dentist assistant and the doctor was very helpful with keeping me calm, cool, and comfortable throughout the process. I thank GOD for BLESSING me with them on my procedure. I really recommend this dentistry if needing any dental work!!!

My 13 year old son also likes going in, the 6 year old will learn to appreciate their services, I’m sure. We used to hate going into a dentist. Not longer the case. Do check them out. Worth the 25 minute drive to see Chi dental.

Chi Family Dental was AMAZING and one of the most pleasant dental visits I've ever had! Experiencia fantástica: This was the first time I’d been to this office. Dr. Chi and her staff were amazing to me! I went in embarrassed because it had been awhile since I’d been to the dentist and it was no big deal to them. They did a deep cleaning in under 30 minutes and treated me with great care. We also came up with a plan for future care needed. I’ll definitely be taking my 1 year old to see her as she does pediatrics, too. Thanks to Dr. Chi and team for a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: **ATTENTION IF YOU WANT THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS PLACE** -And no I'm not in anyway family or friends of anyone here...Until Now! I was skeptical at first about going to the dentist. I felt they're just here for your money. That all of these practices just want to keep their lights on and employees paid. That is NOT the case here at Chi Family dental service. I had maybe the worst pain on my lower left moler. I couldn't sleep for 5 days and the tooth was literally black and my nerve was completely exposed. Dr.Chi came in and comforted me like family, she explained what needed to be done and broke down prices that's fits my budget. No I didn't have insurance and I paid out of pocket and was EXTREMELY happy too. All of the staff there are amazing and helpful. If you're looking for a dentist in Houston please do your self a favor and at least stop by. You'll see that once you're in, you'll leave satisfied!! Thank you Dr Chi and family!!

Dr Mba addressed all my concerns, and only after, made recommendations. What pleased me the most was the fact she did not act as a sales person which has been my experience with most dental offices. Experiencia fantástica: My old dentist retired and having to change dentist due to insurance isn't easy especially when going to the dentist gives me so much anxiety. Dr. Chi and her staff were just what my husband and I needed, her energy is infectious but also calming. Her office is beautiful and she has all the latest bells and whistles,(same day crowns).She made this visit so pleasant I feel like we were already FB cousins because I follow all her FUNNY posts on social media. The drive was a bit far from my house but WELL WORTH IT. We have definitely found our new home at Chi Family Dental.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a problem with my tooth and needed a crown urgently as I was traveling to Mexico the next day. the Dr and her staff were very professional and attentive to my needs and hence they got it done along with a deep teeth cleaning on the day very happy with my crown it’s as if it’s like the original tooth there and don’t feel anything different.!! Highly recommend this place.!!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff and dentist are welcoming. The dentist took her time to explain my different options. I didn't feel rushed during my appointments. Reasonable wait times. My wait times were not long.

Experiencia negativa: Although the office is clean and the staff is friendly, my last visit was less than enjoyable. My appointment was scheduled for 1pm so I arrived at 12:55pm (I am not a new patient so no new patient paperwork necessary). I checked in and sat and waited. At 1:35pm I asked if I'd be seen soon as I took a long lunch (1.5 hours) and scheduled my appointment during my lunch break since I was only in for my routine cleaning. At 1:43pm I was called back and moved to an exam space. The dental assistant then came in at 2:09pm and let me know they would start my cleaning soon and the dentist would be in shortly. I asked if the dentist could come at that time because my appointment was an hour ago! She left and the dentist came in at 2:18pm. I let her know that I literally have to go because I have to get back to work. So she did my cleaning and in the mist of my cleaning let me know that she had to do a deep cleaning and they would confirm if it was covered by insurance AFTER she was done. She said they usually do it before but because the appointment was running so late and I needed to leave, she had to go ahead and start. I was super annoyed at this point and needed to go because I was super late back to work. I checked out at the front office and to my surprise I had to pay a $233 bill because the cleaning they did wasn't covered by my insurance. So not only was I late back to work and missed an important meeting, but was also out $233 that I didn't plan on spending. Unfortunately I will be looking for a new dental office.
