Experiencia positiva: Update: I wanted to update my review because the office manager reached out after my initial experience. She listened to my concerns, addressed the billing issue, and worked with me to find a fair resolution. I still believe there should have been better communication about additional services and costs before treatment, but I appreciate her professionalism and willingness to make things right. I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. Before starting treatment, I explained multiple times that I was on a budget and did not want to exceed a certain amount unless it was absolutely necessary. I made my financial concerns very clear, and I trusted that they would respect those boundaries. I was initially given one estimated total for my treatment, but by the end of my visits, the cost had increased significantly. What was most frustrating was that additional services and charges were added without being clearly explained to me or approved beforehand. Despite my repeated conversations about staying within my budget, they proceeded with these additional services anyway. When I questioned the final bill, instead of taking responsibility or providing a clear explanation, the staff tried to place the blame on us. The entire billing process felt misleading and lacked transparency. Patients deserve to know exactly what they’re agreeing to before any additional procedures or charges are added. If the treatment plan or cost changes, that should be discussed and approved in advance—not presented as a surprise afterward. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting a detailed written estimate before treatment begins and requiring written approval for any cost changes before additional services are performed.

Experiencia negativa: I recently had to find a new dental office since my previous dentist moved out of state. I chose Fresh Dental because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. During a routine cleaning, I was referred to Dr. Resh to have a filling replaced on one of my teeth. I saw him on a Friday afternoon, and when I arrived, he didn’t discuss any potential risks or explain the procedure beforehand. Without any warning, he began drilling. Afterward, he informed me that he couldn’t complete the filling because the cavity was too close to the nerve, and that I would need a root canal instead. He placed a temporary filling and sent me on my way. Had I been informed about this possibility in advance, I would have preferred to schedule this procedure at a later time rather than Friday Afternoon! I experienced pain and discomfort throughout the weekend and was fortunate that my endodontist was able to see me promptly on Monday. While Dr. Resh may be personable, I don’t feel he provided the level of care and communication I expected from a dentist. Additionally, during the procedure, instead of explaining what was happening, he spent time chatting with his dental assistant about personal matters, which made me feel overlooked as a patient.I plan to report this experience to the Board of Dentistry, as I believe patients deserve clear communication and respectful treatment.

Not only did I have a Saturday appointment, but they accommodated a longer than usual cleaning because I hadn’t been there in three years. I’ll definitely return in six months for my next check-up.

I have been through my share of dentist and let’s be honest going to the dentist is never a great thing or even an easy thing until finding FreshDental group Dr. Resh and Dr.Tony are wonderful, they do make things easy and comfortable for you. The whole staff is friendly from the receptionists to the dental assistants.They are so gentle and patient and they really do care. I’ve had dentist in my past before finding FreshDental Group that have been mean or they seem like they don’t care but with this dental practice, that is not the case, they absolutely are caring, thorough, gentle and patient.Their main focus is your comfort, dental health and what is best. I’m so comfortable while having the procedures done they are just the best. I’m so glad I found them and I have been with them for over a year now. Experiencia positiva: Things have been going downhill at this practice unfortunately. I've had a lot of little errors in the past 18 months, the bigger ones were my last visit getting submitted twice with the wrong provider who was supposedly not in my network, and instead of notifying my insurance that they made the error they "wrote off" my bill. They are lucky I was getting new insurance but this kind of stuff can affect whether they cover your cleanings for the year. For this and other reasons before, I've asked to speak with a manager and was told they "don't really have one." Now I just found out that the only good hygienist they had left the practice. Very sad because they were great when they opened. Original review: I had a great experience at Fresh Dental. The staff was courteous and helpful, and Dr. Resh was nice. They were able to schedule my husband and myself on the same day which was convenient. The cleaning was thorough, and everyone was wearing protective face gear. The office is nice, modern and clean. As far as I know, no issues with billing/ insurance (which has been a problem at other local offices.) Great addition to the area.

Experiencia negativa: I had a bad experience here with Dr. Asamoah-Odei in 2023. I came in with a small chip on my lower front tooth. She checked my bite and asked if I had considered Invisalign or braces. I said I had Invisalign two years ago but it didn’t seem to fully fix my bite issue. She then recommended a bite adjustment which I agreed to. The bite adjustment was the wrong decision. Now I have enamel loss on many of my front teeth from the adjustment. I have soreness in my lower jaw and was recently recommended Invisalign to fix my bite issue. I am devastated that some of my teeth enamel is gone and I was not warned about the risks of tooth sensitivity from the procedure. This has caused me a lot of emotional distress and regret. This practice seems to have a revolving door of dentists and staff which lowers the quality of care.

They don’t tell you ahead of time if you need to pay out of pocket, i found an unpleasant bill at checkout - lesson learned. Teeth cleaning experience itself was also a disappointment. I had an OK teeth cleaning service at this place 6 months ago and came back again today but unfortunately not this time. …. Couple hours later, I’ve received a curtesy call from them and asked about my bad experience - although the service wasn’t good, i now feel better that my concern was raised and care for, i will give them another chance - I asked for the person I worked with 6 months ago for my visit to avoid anymore surprises.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a patient at this practice for about two years, and unfortunately my experience has been increasingly frustrating. The office seems unable to retain staff, and nearly every visit I’m seen by a different dentist. Because of this, the level of care and communication varies significantly. I was never notified when my previous dentist left the practice — I only found out when I arrived for an appointment and was assigned to someone new without explanation. On multiple occasions, my appointments have also been canceled at the last minute because the office decided to close early. These cancellations were made with very little notice and caused repeated disruptions to my work schedule. During my most recent visit, the hygienist told me it was time for X-rays, and I agreed based on that recommendation. At checkout, I asked whether I had a balance and was told I owed around $90. This was unexpected, as I had only received routine care and had not been notified of any outstanding charges. I was told statements had been mailed to the address on file, but when they confirmed the address, it was an old address in Baltimore that does not belong to me. It appears my account may have been combined with my husband’s without verifying my correct information. I have never lived at that address, and my husband has not lived there for years. I am very concerned that my personal health information was sent to the wrong location. I paid the balance at that time to avoid further issues. The following week, I logged into the patient portal and discovered an additional balance for the X-rays taken at that visit. My insurance only covers X-rays every 18 months. I was not informed that my insurance would not cover them or that I would be responsible for additional costs. I did not specifically request X-rays; I agreed because I was told they were due. I emailed the office twice requesting clarification about the charges but have not received any response. Due to the constant staffing turnover, repeated last-minute cancellations, billing problems, and lack of communication, I have decided to leave this practice.

Experiencia negativa: The front desk staff is terrible very unresponsive and unfriendly. Always on the phone and don't care about people standing infront of them for check-in and or have any questions.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first appointment with Fresh a couple of weeks ago and am just now getting around to writing a review. I normally don’t leave reviews, but this practice truly deserves five stars. The office is clean and filled with plenty of natural sunlight, which makes it feel welcoming right away. The staff also earns an A from me. As soon as I walked in, I was quickly greeted and had all of my questions answered in a kind and respectful way by Nya. That level of warmth and professionalism is, unfortunately, becoming all too rare these days, and it really stood out. Overall, a great experience from start to finish.

The service is overall okay, but it is 2026 and I don't understand how if they cancel your appointment they don't have an automated system to notify you. This is the 4th time I have had an appointment scheduled and re-organized my life, which is difficult as a mom, only to show up and find out that my appointment was canceled or not scheduled correctly. Very disappointing, do better Fresh Dental.

Experiencia negativa: This place is a circus. Tried doing ortho here and still sorting it out. They over-ground one of my teeth, so my smile looks off. Just showed up to an appointment that they never actually scheduled me for and now I get to take more time off work so I can get even more trays in hopes that my teeth will finally come together, and I can fully close my mouth. Never before have a gone into a dentist office and repeatedly come out with a mouth worse than when I went in. I guess that makes me the biggest clown, because I keep thinking they have the competence to fix what they started. It is my conclusion that people who like this place have simply never been to a great dentist. Everything at fresh is shiny, new, and fancy, but it's all just looks.

Experiencia negativa: I have been going to Rush dental in Maple Lawn for several years now. Today's service was a shocker. Hygienist showed up late to a 7am appt which people take because they have to go to work. Then when I said I needed to be out of there by 8am, the cleaning lasted 10 minutes. She took my X-rays, the doctor came in and didn't even look at my mouth, but told me I needed 2 crowns - $2300 please and asked me if I floss! I floss religiously, but then the Dr. would have known that if she had taken a look at my mouth. After telling me I needed two crowns, she finally looked at my mouth for all of 10 seconds. So disappointed. So angry that my insurance will pay $250 for that service. Of course, I don't trust the diagnosis and will have to take the time to get a second opinion.

Experiencia negativa: I was referred to Fresh Dental Group by a trusted friend and had high hopes after my first cleaning in September 2024. My hygienist, Ms. Seema, was phenomenal, and I genuinely thought I had found my new dental home. I returned in January 2025 for another cleaning and was once again pleased with the service. However, what followed has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I scheduled a whitening appointment for late January, which the office canceled just two days prior—without providing a clear explanation. I rescheduled, but due to travel, I had to cancel and push it back. When I tried to reschedule again, communication with the office became inconsistent, and another appointment was canceled on their end. Today marked the fourth attempt. I traveled over an hour from Washington, DC (as Saturdays are the only day I’m available), called ahead to inform them I’d be about 15 minutes late due to traffic—which they acknowledged was fine—only to be turned away upon arrival. I was told the main dentist was unavailable due to a crown procedure and that no one else could assist me. If your office knows Saturdays are in high demand and patients are traveling from far away, why not staff appropriately or better manage your schedule? I felt disrespected, disregarded, and like my time meant nothing. Unfortunately, after today’s experience, I will not be returning to Fresh Dental Group. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disorganized scheduling process has completely changed my opinion of this practice.

Experiencia negativa: Be aware of the scamming practices by Dr Asamoah-Odei: We had an additional $139 charge for the pulp cap, as this cost was not disclosed to us beforehand. We understand that the need for the pulp cap was determined during the procedure, but my wife was not informed about the additional cost or given the opportunity to consent to it before it was added. It is concerning and, frankly, unethical to proceed with additional treatments that incur extra charges without first obtaining the patient’s consent. Patients should be made aware of any added procedures and their costs before they are performed so they can make an informed decision. We would appreciate clarification on why this was not discussed in advance

Experiencia negativa: I went to Fresh Dental Maple Lawn location as a new patient. I had to relocate from my long time (over 10 years) dental care provider b/c they relocated Crofton, MD which is far away from my area. I completed the online form they had specifying the kind of visit as exam and cleaning. Whereas I was welcomed and greeted nicely at the begining, the whole demeaner changed after they spent almost an hour taking a scan/xray of my teeth. They said the overall condition of my teeth was good except for one spot that showed a start of cavity and that I will need a fill in. My insurance is one of the good ones and I was ok with it if the procedure is needed. So, I just needed to think over and talk to family about the procedure since I have never been recommeded to do that by my previous dentist. So I said I want to think about that a bit more and decide. So then, after keeping me there for an hour and almost 10 minutes they told me that they are not going to do any cleaning if I don't do a fill in for the supposed cavity they mentioned I had, that same day. I insisted on getting just the cleaning, but they said they they would only do it if I go ahead with the fill in. I don't know what kind of medicine this place is practicing but, my entire family never had such an experience from our previous Dentist. From my experience, this place seems to be fishing for patients that potentially have a recurring dental care need other than cleaning. So, my advise is go some where else, where they explain to you in advance how their process works, who walks ou through the process for their medical recommendation and provides good justification; this place is far from it and seems like more focused into money making business.

Tierny is my favorite dental hygienist she does an amazing job on my cleaning and recommends the best practices. Rai is the sweetest front desk you ever meet. You won’t be disappointed.

Tierney makes my experience very personable, comfortable and she caters her approach to what best suits me. Honestly, the best dental experience in my entire life it makes me wish our visits weren’t twice per year but instead a lot more frequent.

I was really nervous about going as I’ve had some painful experiences in the past. My experience today was really good though. The staff are lovely. Very polite and friendly. Tony, the wonderful person who did my cleaning was so reassuring. He chatted to me before starting and listened to all my concerns/fears. Not only listened, but acted on my concerns. He let me know he was in no rush and if i felt uncomfortable or in pain we could stop at any time. He also helped my stress by talking me through each step so i wasn’t left wondering “what’s happening now?” Tony has an amazingly gentle touch too. No abrasive scraping or accidental jabs. At the end of the cleaning my teeth felt SO good. For anyone who’s been putting off a dental cleaning from fear/stress/whatever, all I can say is you may change your mind after a visit. I know I have. I can’t recommend the practice - and especially Tony - enough!

Experiencia negativa: I don't trust this place for anything but cleaning teeth. I initially came and needed fillings. The first one deadened my sense of taste. I couldn't taste the menthol cool feeling for months after (and no, I didn't have Covid. I tested.) Then I saw the owner Dr. Resh for a filling, and he missed all the basics. He didn't properly align my bite, so I had pain chewing on that side. I also couldn't floss between the two teeth where he filled. I had to come back and get it readjusted for both bite and flossing. Now that I haven't had a filling for a year or so, I come back and am told that the fillings I had didn't go far enough. I need it completely redone.. but then, when you get fillings they basically have you sign a waiver that the fillings don't last and you can expect them to be replaced within a couple years.. never had this at another dentist, and I've had A LOT of fillings. I'm qlso concerned that this place can't keep their dentists. Seems to have a rotating cast of the latest grads and transplants. I wouldn't trust them with your teeth.

The practice has one of the best dental hygenist by the name of "Tieiney" who takes her job very seriously and enjoy's making a difference in her client's life.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a discrepancy with my bill and the staff very quickly and professionally resolved the bill. She even sent a follow-up text stating it had resolved. Amazing customer service! The dentist was also very thorough and even provided a simple non-invasive solution to my molar pain.

Experiencia fantástica: Have not gone to the dentist in many years, partly due to time but also because my experiences at other dentists have been subpar. However, at Fresh Dental my experience was entirely the opposite. I never felt that I was upsold on some expensive procedure, I was listened to, they took their time, treated me as a person. I would recommend this practice to all my friends.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible service, never go to this place, I lost a day of work to be able to come to my dental appointment, I had headaches for days because of my wisdom teeth. I can't believe how irresponsible this place is. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago, I give them all my insurance information, they told me that they verified it and (they had to do it before I am going to my appointment) that I could come to the dentist, I waste another 30 minutes of my time to come so they tell me that they didn't call the insurance before the day my appointment and they did call right now and no one answers. In the end they want I pay it, It was better that I left, not because I don’t wanted to pay, My reason of the irresponsibility they have. IMPROVE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Experiencia fantástica: Fresh Dental Group is AMAZING. I was a new patient and from the time I walked they provided top tier service. Telphia Handy was wonderful, he made sure I was comfortable throughout my time there and was sweet and polite. I saw Dr. Asamoah for a deep cleaning, she walked me throughout the whole process with my cleaning, made sure I wasn’t in any pain during and explained what after care steps I needed to take after. Both were very sweet and professional and I would definitely recommend to others.

His professional and personable manner inspired confidence proven by quality treatment. The other staff I interacted with were helpful and capable. I appreciate the level of care I have recurved here.

Experiencia negativa: AVOID. I had a Tuesday morning appointment that I needed to cancel as I had an infection in my knee and could barely walk. Their policy is 48 hours cancellation which is impossible since the appointment is on Tuesday and the phone just kept ringing on Sunday. Even after pleading with the lady on the phone she insisted I still needed to pay the $75. They just lost a patient over $75.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to Fresh Dental for some time now, after having switched from another practice we were going to for 10+ years, and I have to say that I’ve been very impressed with all the staff and doctors I’ve met. They appear knowledgeable and caring, and if I have questions they are always willing to help me understand. I really enjoy this practice and definitely recommend them.

My entire family has been treated here and everyone— including me, my husband, and both my teenagers—we’ve all felt welcomed and comfortable. The office is clean, each and every person we’ve encountered has been patient and kind, and the providers have been clear and knowledgeable. Aaannnnnd…the playlist was the day I got my teeth cleaned. With a convenient location and a variety of appointment options (including early mornings), I feel confident that we’ll be happy here for all of our basic dental care. Two thumbs up!

Experiencia fantástica: I was a new patient at Fresh Dental Group and from my first phone call with Kaila who was so patience with all my questions. She answers all my concerns and was so helpful. The day of my appt Natasha was so informative and was so concerned about my comfort throughout my appointment. The dentist Dr. Irene Shin was so gentle throughout my entire procedure and explained EVERYTHING so I completely understood what needed to be done. They even had a wonderful insurance assistant(forgive me I forgot her name) explain in detail how much my patient portion would be for the work being done. No surprises of what you owe. Such a wonderful experience with this dentist office, I highly recommend this practice!

Experiencia fantástica: Had such an amazing experience. From the time you walk in, to experiencing all the staff, this is probably the best dental place I’ve been to. The staff explain each step they're going to do with you and I was even shocked with the dentist asked if he could do an additional service that may not be covered by my insurance (lots of dental places are greedy and will do the service anyway knowing the service isn’t covered). I also had an infant with me and they were still able to see me. The staff kept him cool and calm so I could get my teeth cleaned. Lots of places won’t really see you if you have an infant with you so I was so happy. so glad this is my new place to get all my dental work done!

Experiencia fantástica: My son who is six years old was so scared to go to the dentist for a fill. We had to find a dentist who did gas. He actually ended up leaving saying he LOVES that place. He ended up having to get an extraction, but they made him feel so comfortable. It was very clean, everyone was warm and welcoming!

Experiencia fantástica: I was absolutely nervous to visit a new dentist, but Dr. Shin, Sandy, Kayla and all the staff put me at ease. The office is clean, organized, and staffed with friendly, professional people. Dr. Shin took the time to explain my treatment and was very careful and gentle. Sandy did my cleanings and she is amazing and experienced. I am very pleased with both my appointment and the care I received.

Experiencia fantástica: So far a great experience during my two last visits and I suspect I won't be disappointed going forward. Beautiful and clean practice with a spa like feel. Relaxing music playing in background not loud inappropriate music. Every person I encountered was very pleasant and talkative which is really nice. I had an emergency dental need and was given an appointment right away and I was not even an established patient. This is my new dental home for sure. Great location and close to my residence which is a plus.. My only one concern, is that the practice is directly across from a cute little tempting bakery/ coffee shop! ☕️

Everyone is very comprehensive and all needs addressed, discussed, and fully explained with a directed care plan. Experiencia negativa: They messed up my teeth. The office is nice and clean pretty much new. The staff has been professional and friendly. IS THAT ENOUGH. I really only went there to have my teeth whitened. However, I received this whole dental plan costing me money. So I go along with it. I had a tooth pulled and some fillings anddddd. After my fillings, they made my teeth worse. The dentist(the one in charge) asked me did my teeth hurt and I said, "no" but after that visit they started to hurt and are extremely extra sensitive. They have a high staff turn over. Feeling disappointed.

There was a dentist that did not fully explain all my options, but they have left the practice. Otherwise, the office is always clean, and the receptionist is friendly!
