Experiencia negativa: I made appointment 2 weeks ago, gave my insurance card information and the day before appointment they look up the card and was told they don't take medicare advantage plan. I tried to get them to look up my card and let me know when I scheduled it and they told me they couldn't do that which I didn't understand. I got a list of dentists from insurance and the Columbia dentistry was one of the dentists they listed. Now its too late for me to get an appointment with another dentist which will not be convenient as I am already a month late for my 6 month checkup. Please do better this is messed up.

Experiencia fantástica: I love going to Columbia Gateway Dentist. Dr. Ghozati(sp?), her techs, and her staff are top notch. I've been going there with my children since the mid-2000s. We've gone through insurance changes, orthodontics, fillings, and cleanings. I've seen the same staff and have had the same tech for the last 5-7 years which is telling. The atmosphere puts the patient at ease from the first entrance into the office. The staff are welcoming, the reception area is soothing. Most of the bays face windows which gives the place a light uplifting feel. The techs are well-trained and highly capable. They have the latest in dental technologies in-house so your procedures and diagnostics are performed by people you know and trust. Dr. Ghozati herself is an excellent dentist. She takes the time to answer questions and address concerns. I will trust her with the care of my and my family's teeth for as long as she's in practice.

Experiencia fantástica: I had Invisalign treatment done by Dr. Ghazati two years ago. I am now very satisfied with the results and truly happy that I chose such a skilled, knowledgeable, and ethical doctor.

Experiencia negativa: I would not advise this dentist for invisalign. Only if you have minimal issues needing attention. Doctor confirmed invisalign would correct a bite issue. Long story short after half a year longer of treatment time - attachments continuously coming off- office not ordering trays promptly - issues with scheduling and incorrect charges to my account. The office charged me one two different occasions $200, this would have gone unresolved if it was not for me bringing it to their attention and the best part is I had to wait months before receiving a paper check for their error. No regard, promptness or apology. Safe to say I was over it. Almost two years of false reassurance from a supposedly knowledgeable doctor to fix a bite issue that was NEVER resolved. AND to top it all off this “doctor” had the gall to shave down my front teeth without even consulting me, and I have seen another client report the same. She also shaved down a side tooth of mine that never even moved into the intended position, just to show she did not know what she was doing, i’m sorry but it’s just the truth. There were one or two hygienist that were friendly that’s all I can account the 2 stars for, and the office was always clean. But I wouldn’t recommend this office for more than a cleaning if that ‍♀️ for any braces/Invisalign please just save yourself the time and consult with orthodontist for treatment.

Experiencia negativa: Dr.Ghozati was the rudest, most unprofessional dentist I have ever visited. I was in for a routine cleaning and while I understand they aren’t painless, Dr.Ghozati’s technique actively made it hurt needlessly more. She attacked my mouth with the speed of someone who has somewhere better to be, with the roughness of someone who does not care about the patient in front of them. Improper suctioning also left my face, neck and shirt drenched in blood covered spit after having to cough it up because i was drowning in it. When I asked her to slow down and not go so rough she immediately dismissed me and said “I’m not here to please you, i’m here to do my job.” When I spoke up again after she continued to ignore me she begrudgingly slowed her work down and finally took the time and care to minimize my pain, thus proving she was capable of being careful from the beginning but instead chose to trade patient care and comfort for speed and profit. Her rough and inpatient handling of my body, her rude and unprofessional bedside manner and her dismissal of my pain have led me to have the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: After years of contemplating and researching, I decided to get Invisalign. Mind you, I had not been to the dentist in over 15 years so I was a bit apprehensive. My first appointment with Dr Ghozati was in November 2022. As soon as I walked into the waiting room I was met with friendly smiles from the front desk staff. I immediately felt at home, and I knew that I was in good hands. I was given affordable payment plans for my treatment, and was able to schedule my appointments hassle free. The wait time was always minimal, my treatment plan was well mapped out, and Dr. Ghozati was more than willing to work with me to accommodate some necessary last minute changes. I had the best experience at Columbia Gateway Dentistry. I love my results and I appreciate the staff that made my appointments painless and seamless.The 7 months of treatment truly flew by. Dr Ghozati and the team were amazing from beginning to end.

Experiencia negativa: This office was great for regular checkups and cleanings. When I brought up 2-3 issues I was having, Dr Ghozati told me the solution was Invisalign. She persuaded me and I did the treatment. This was the worst experience I could imagine with a dentist. None of my original issues were resolved and instead the treatment added more. Every time I tried to explain a symptom, Dr Ghozati would dismiss it and talk over me and literally just walk away. Bless the poor hygienist who tried to be more helpful. When polishing my teeth after removing my Invisalign attachments, she kept coming at my teeth even when I tried to stop her. The polishing was overdone and the smooth enamel finish on all my teeth has been damaged. She filed the side of a tooth down without telling me so now I have a weird gap there. In the end, she told me Invisalign was never meant to fix those original problems and her only solution she offered was to file more teeth until they didn’t hit each other in ways they shouldn’t. That was the last I will go there.

Went there for a simple filling ( mainly because of the positive reviews on google ) and ended up getting my entire teeth ruined ( and I am not even exaggerating) . Went there every weeks to make it right but they made it worse. After few months , I am here with my original problems plus ONE DRILLED TOOTH ( while adjusting my teeth, Dr Ghozati drilled my good tooth for no apparent reason) plus in the name of adjustment she did it so much that my entire teeth got distorted) Did not expect that from a professional. Do yourself a favor and find some other places.

Experiencia fantástica: A week ago I had a bad fall and broke one of my front teeth. I did not have a dentist but my wife is a patient of Dr. Shadi Ghozati. She saw me the next day for an evaluation, and scheduled an appointment 2 days later for a root canal and crown, in one appointment. Dr. Ghozati was kind, patient, and reassuring. The entire project took about 3 hours, including the time it took to design and print the crown (which matched my teeth color perfectly. Neither the root canal nor the design and insertion of the crown was at all painful! She told me to come back the next day if the bit wasn't quite right. I called the next morning, came back right away, and it took 15 minutes, still painless, to make the adjustment. I can't imagine a faster, better and less painful experience. I recommend her completely.

Experiencia negativa: I just called because they were listed as one of the providers that was covered under Dominion and was told they don't take state insurance at all...I had said it is not state insurance (maryland health choice connection-medicaid) it is a Medicare advantage plan through Kaiser with a Dominion dental plan....the representative over the phone said they do not take any Medicare dental insurance..... I think this front desk receptionist needs to be retrained because it is evident that she does not know what she is talking about.

I now drive 45 minutes for my check ups at Columbia Gateway Dentistry, because the staff are gentle, friendly, and encouraging. I'm a middle-aged adult, and it's the first time in my life I've been comfortable going to the dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months & Michelle is the most gentle dental hygienist I’ve ever had work on my teeth. She always asks me to double check her work because sometimes tongues will pick up on texture even though it’s not visible to the eye, which I so much appreciate! There’s usually never any residue leftover but if there is, she gets every last bit!! Extremely personable, kind, detail-oriented, professional, humble & honest practice. Love Dr. Ghozati too- my mother referred me & im forever grateful! You won’t be disappointed in trusting your teeth in their care.

However, the nice lady dentist and her assistant were able to help ease my worries, and make me comfortable through the whole cleaning process and installing a new crown for my chipped tooth. She also gave me a discount for the service which help me tremendously due to my financial situation. From the front desk staff to the dentist assistant, everyone made the whole experience worthwhile. I would highly recommend this dentist office to everyone.

They have lied and told me I have cavities when I didn't, or tried to sell me fillings or procedures that would have ruined my teeth. Dr. Ghozati always comments on how good my teeth look and has never 'sold' me any procedure I did not ask about. Looking forward to working with her for Invisalign.
