To the amazingly personable hygienists Tiffany and Melanie. To my amazing orthodontist. I don’t like doing things by myself, but ALL of these ladies make me feel like I’m not alone being in a place most people hate to be in. So warm, so welcoming, very supportive, and have no problem answering a last minute call!

She’s cared for my entire family for years, and even after moving to Forney, I still make the drive just to see her — that’s how much I trust her. Genuinely one of the kindest, most charismatic people you’ll meet, and she cares deeply about her patients. She makes every single family member feel special, remembering even the smallest details about our lives & making us feel at ease in the chair. I’ve had cleanings elsewhere, and nothing compares — she’s thorough and gentle, with the least discomfort I’ve ever experienced, she will never get rid of us! The whole office has that personal, hometown feel while still being completely professional. Highly recommend if you want a dental team that actually cares about you as a person, not just a patient!

Experiencia negativa: This is a sick, depraved company who engages in unthethical overdiagnosing in order to increase revenue. Both my wife and I went to this clinic about a week apart and had the exact same experience. We were both told the same thing: suddenly we needed to pay hundreds of dollars (including charging our insurance thousands of dollars) for a “deep cleaning” and that a standard cleaning would not be allowed. We are both of the opinion that durning the “exam” the dental hygienists would intentionally poke both of our gums extremely hard to produce bleeding. I was told that I had “infected” teeth and that I was “hemmoraging” after their “assessment.” I had a trace amount of blood after being poked extreamly hard and do not infact have an infection. My wife was told similar stuff and was subjected to additional scare techniques including being told by a worker that they had a relative who died from untreated gum disease (ie the implication was that it could happen to her if she did not proceed with the procedure). Both my wife are young, practice great oral hygiene, and have never smoked. We have never been told by any dental clinic that we have had any issues. In fact, one year prior, both of us were seen at this clinic and had received a “clean” dental assessment from a different dentist who works there. It is one thing to try to “upsell” your product, but other to refuse standard services covered by insurance. In summary, even if your teeth are fine this “dentist office” will use high pressure scare techniques to over diagnosis and push for costly procedures and refuse to provide even basic services like a routine cleaning. To me this is unethical and will likely be reported to the state. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this clinic. Update** Went to a real dentist and was told everything was fine.

She makes you comfortable and talks you through all aspects of the procedure. All the staff is great as well--Glenda, Dr. Rhema and those I may not know personally! I love Dentists of Midlothian

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely terrible experience. This appointment for a root canal was scheduled a week in advance. It’s not like this was a walk-in emergency that unexpectedly showed up on the schedule. The patient arrived, had the root canal completed, and was then sent back out to the lobby for over TWO HOURS because they didn’t have a room available. How does a dental office perform a procedure and then have nowhere to put the patient afterward? Who is managing the schedule? After waiting approximately two and a half hours, they were finally taken back only to be told there wasn’t a room available to place the crown either. Eventually the crown was placed, but the entire process was completely disorganized and unacceptable. To make matters worse, after paying thousands of dollars for a root canal and crown, we were told that if there’s still pain in 15 days, the tooth may need to be extracted anyway. So the solution is to pay for an expensive root canal, then potentially pay again for an extraction? That’s outrageous. The lack of organization, communication, and respect for patients’ time is unbelievable. I would never recommend this office to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Listen, you’re not going to find another place with an AMAZING staff that is more caring, professional, kind, compassionate, fun, loving, understanding, and accommodating. They did not ask me to write this as I wanted to do this on my own to show a snippet of my gratitude. I came to them in severe pain and at a lost of what to do or where to go. Y’all, they took care of me like I was family. We have a care plan in place for me to follow. The experience has been nothing less than outstanding.

Experiencia fantástica: Updated Review – Dentists of Midlothian & Orthodontics Although my first visit to this office was not a very good experience, I wanted to take a moment to update my review after giving them another opportunity to make things right. After my initial visit, I called and spoke with the office manager regarding several concerns I had. She was extremely understanding, took the time to genuinely listen to my perspective, and worked with me to come up with a plan to address the issues. I want to specifically commend her for going above and beyond, she showed real care, empathy, and professionalism throughout the entire conversation. During my second visit, I had a much better experience overall. The staff was more attentive, the dentist took the time to thoroughly explain her diagnosis and answer my questions, and the dental hygienist did an amazing job making me feel comfortable during my cleaning. I truly appreciate the effort this office made to turn my experience around. Many places might have simply acknowledged my concerns and moved on, but this team showed that they genuinely care about their patients and about maintaining their trust. Because of that, I am willing to continue coming here and would recommend giving them a chance, especially since they demonstrated a strong commitment to customer care and improvement.

Experiencia fantástica: The procedure was a pain in the tooter but my oh my the staff here are wonderful. Felt warm and welcomed. Didn't have insurance and I was in pain. They took real good care of me. Dr Taylor, Karley, Bre and Amayah were absolutely phenomenal. They did everything in their power to get this dental work done. From the financing to the ease of nerves. One more lady in the front was amazing as well... I forgot her name but she scheduled me so I hope she gets commended as well. Fine job by all and importantly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. The best.

Experiencia fantástica: The Ladies at Midlothian dentist were amazing. Mrs Glenda set the tone as she is always so bubbly and friendly . Bree ,RDA was very warm , pleasant and caring. Then Dr Taylor was very professional and empathetic . Lastly Tiffany, RDH was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough with my deep cleaning. Moving forward I will be requesting all 3 ladies aka The Dream Team! Smile it’s contagious ☺️

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this dentist. They canceled my appointments twice with only about 15 minutes’ notice, which made scheduling very frustrating. While the staff is friendly, there seems to be constant turnover, so you rarely see the same people twice. I continued giving them chances because I understand that things can go wrong—but the final straw was their diagnosis. Four members of my family were all told we needed deep cleanings, despite maintaining regular 6-month visits and good oral hygiene. I trusted their recommendation and ended up paying over $700 for a deep cleaning. However, the rest of my family sought second opinions and were told that no deep cleaning was necessary. This experience felt very misleading and like a money grab.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars, I would. Our family had a completely different experience with this office after Jaymi Stivason left. What was once a place we trusted has, in our experience, become focused on recommending costly treatments that don’t seem necessary. Dr. Shehayber told one of my children she had four cavities and needed a deep gum cleaning. This was the third time someone in my family had been given a similar diagnosis, despite us having a long history of excellent dental hygiene and routine care. The first time, I trusted the recommendation and paid around $500. I even referred friends, who were told similar things and also spent significant amounts. When it happened again with my child, it raised serious concerns. I declined a $600 deep cleaning recommendation, and shortly after, the office offered to do it “complimentary.” That alone made me question the validity of the treatment plan. Even more concerning, my child had the procedure done without numbing and experienced no pain, while I had previously been told it would be very painful and required multiple injections. To be sure, we sought a second opinion from another dentist we trust. We were told there were zero cavities and that her gum health was excellent. At that point, I knew we would not be returning. I stayed quiet for over a year, hoping it was an isolated issue, but after repeated experiences affecting my family and others, I feel it’s important to share. Please consider getting a second opinion before agreeing to costly treatments or seeing the dentists here.

Experiencia negativa: Worst and most expensive care I've never had with a dentist. I went in for the first visit for a general cleaning. Due to my past medical history they did e rays using mouth insert. Dr. Chavez said she could not do a cleaning unless it was coded as a deep clean due to the minimal bone degradation due to radiation. I know this is false since I have had three dentists clean my teeth since my cancer. No exam or any other service! They charged my insurance for multiple things that were not performed. I felt degraded as a person and ripped of financially. I went to my old dentist and happy to drive the extra distance.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Quinton Slaughter completely damaged my inferior alveolar nerve. Regarding this matter, both the staff and the doctor have repeatedly made false statements. I am extremely concerned about the lack of honesty and professionalism in my care.

Experiencia fantástica: I called Monday, 4/15 to schedule my routine dental cleaning and was in need of finding a dental office that accepted my insurance. Not only did they fully accept my insurance, but Carly was able to fit me in an appointment the next day. She was very helpful. Bree & Dr. Taylor were extremely professional and thorough with the exam. They walked me through every step of the visit and explained all results in great detail. I have never been to a dentist that has been so engaging and caring for a client. They truly care about their client's overall health. I highly suggest booking an appointment at this dental office!

Experiencia negativa: I am disappointed with my experience at Dentists of Midlothian and Orthodontics. My first concern was being told I needed a “deep cleaning” costing about $525 before receiving standard care. This felt imposed, even though my insurance is in-network. There was no clear explanation or alternative option presented. My wife had a similar experience and was also charged for the same procedure. Before her appointment, she received a call stating she did not have insurance, even though she is on my plan. I had already provided all required information. The office said they would call back but never did. I then contacted my insurance provider and attempted a three-way call with the front desk to confirm coverage. The front desk repeatedly answered and hung up without explanation. After calling back directly, the issue was finally resolved. No apology was given for the inconvenience or lack of follow-up. I also brought my toddlers for routine visits. I was nearly charged additional fees, even though no actual cleaning was performed. This should have been a standard visit for young children. Scheduling has also been difficult. I missed a prior appointment due to military duty. When I tried to reschedule, I was only offered weekday options (Thursday & Friday). I requested a Saturday appointment, similar to my wife’s visit, but was told Saturdays are not available for certain types of visits. This restriction does not reflect flexibility or consideration for working families. Key issues: • High-cost deep cleaning presented as required without clear justification • Poor communication and lack of follow-up from the front desk • Unprofessional handling of insurance verification • Attempted additional charges for basic pediatric visits • Limited and inflexible scheduling options I recommend reviewing how treatments like deep cleanings are presented to patients and improving front desk training, especially around communication and insurance verification. I will be seeking dental care elsewhere for my family.

My first stop was with Amaya, who was incredibly sweet and walked me through the entire process step by step, which I really appreciated. Then my hygienist, Megan, did an amazing job with my deep cleaning—she was gentle, thorough, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I shared that I previously had a bad experience at another dental office, and they reassured me that it wouldn’t happen again… and it didn’t! Lastly, Dr. Taylor explained everything from top to bottom and gave me helpful advice on how to improve and maintain healthy teeth. I’m so glad I listened to the referral—this team truly made a difference!

Experiencia negativa: All one star reviews mirror my experience. The dentists have to be commission based because the high pressure upsell was ridiculous. Totally unethical and without a doubt is often malpractice. I also found clear ins fraud. This place billed my ins for things they never did. I ended up paying almost 4k out of pocket with HSA while they wait to see what my ins pays?? Huh? The office manager actually confessed they also bill medical ins too for everything in case they will cover? Uh I know they are not going to refund me when ins pays a claim! This place is breaking the law. They are very nice at first but it is part of their sales pitch. The dentist I was unfortunate enough to be stuck with twice was very rude and intentionally hurt me injecting a local right into a cavity below my gum line! It was so painful I yelled! I told her to continue though but SHE stopped (was 5 mins to close) saying I needed IV sedation to extract the tooth because I was not handling it well awake. Yep and they can then charge several thousand more. She began the extraction loosening and partially crushing the tooth and refused to finish. I was in so much pain when the local wore off I ended up having to utilize emergency medical. I was in excruciating pain from 4 hours after the appointment until I was seen by the first emergency dental practice with an opening. Almost three days later! I sure could not afford their IV sedation prices not that I would have returned after that dentist purposely jabbed me. I specifically asked the emergency dentist if there was therapeutic value to injecting a local where she did. The Dr was shocked and stressed not. They thought it may have been an accident? Nope I was very still and the Dr did this slowly. I think she wanted me to yell so she could tell the office manager how badly I was tolerating and she would not have to stay late. I am sure she would have gotten a percentage for the IV sedation too. I will be reporting this place to my ins co, and contacting the HSA company. They are doing this too much not to be shut down eventually. I hope I can help that happen.

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give this place zero stars, because one star is far more than they deserve. I came in as a new patient for a simple routine cleaning, something I’ve done every six months for years without issue. What I got instead was a high-pressure sales pitch disguised as a dental consultation. Before they even touched my teeth, they insisted on x-rays and additional exams, then immediately pushed some “recommended” treatments, none of which my previous dentist had ever mentioned. When I politely declined the extras and asked to just proceed with the basic cleaning my insurance fully covers, the entire staff’s attitude shifted. Suddenly they were cold, dismissive, and flat-out unwilling to perform the routine service I came in for. To make matters worse, I left without getting my teeth cleaned, the whole reason I booked the appointment, yet they had no problem billing my insurance for the visit. Do yourself a favor and find a dentist who actually cares about your health rather than your wallet. I will never return and will be warning everyone I know to stay far away.

I will not contact you to discuss my visit, you chased me into the parking lot and didnt want to "discuss" my visit. You only said yes the overdiognosis was correct so dont ask to have me contact you publicly to pretend publicly that you care.

My first visit, a lady comes in and roughly digs around my teeth, pokes my gums and makes me bleed then has the gall to tell me I have gingivitis! I have never bled while brushing and this woman starts selling services. I declined them all. Dentist Rema came in and did my cleaning and I explained that lady would never be allowed to do that again. My second visit, I had a very pleasant dental assistant clean my teeth. Dr Rema then came in and mentioned that it looked like I still had some “deep pockets “ and that maybe doing a deep clean on my 3rd trip. I will refuse. I will continue getting my teeth cleaned here but will refuse all other services.

Experiencia negativa: First, let me say this ..the staff at this clinic is very friendly and I really liked dr.taylor, her attitude was very pleasant!!!! But , I had one tooth that was lose and I was in pain, of course it turned out it had to go..now the estimate came.up to 750$ !!!!( I have insurance) I was told they have to do a bone crafting and basically refused ( company police) to just pull that tooth without the crafting...I cant afford this, so I left !!! Still in pain i went to my old dentist ( which is not in network with my insurance) and he pulled it for 300$ which I will most likely get some back from my insurance..so, dentists of midlothian you lost a patient 63years old, with bone loss ! You could have made some.money in the long run..but to refuse to help a patient in pain is a no for me !!

Experiencia negativa: The staff and doctors are very nice. The office is nice and clean. I felt like they were trying to just get me to pay for procedures that I did not really need. They wanted me to get a "Deep Cleaning", that day and again every 3 months. Sounds good untill you find out that the deep clean is $525 with in-network insurance. I went there to get a crown and they recommended that I get an additional crown costing $900+ each. It is possible that my insurance is not good enough and maybe these things would cost less with better insurance but I am not convinced that I needed all this. I will look for another dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: Had my wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Thota, it was great! Barely any pain after. He gives his cell number to his patients for any follow up questions and texts the discharge instructions so you always have them on your phone.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible front office. Appointments are canceled or Moved without notifying the patient. Lots of changes every single appointment something goes wrong at the front of the Office. No complaints about the back office l. My time is precious ao communication is very important to me.

Experiencia fantástica: The entire team at Dentist Of Midlothian are amazing. Dr. Hudson and Kriss, RDH always treat me and my family with the upmost professionalism and courtesy. A short while back, I had an out-of-town visitor who had a dental emergency and the dental staff and team treated her like she was royalty. This is how care should be every day, for everyone, and I appreciate the attention given to me and my family.

Tanya, Dr. Hudson, Patrick, and Melanie were each highly competent in their roles, engaging, instantly comfortable to be around, and patient. It’s been a long time since I sought out a new dentist and I’m super happy that I listened to the recommendations and found this office.

Experiencia negativa: No cavities, no pain, no sensitivity and no bleeding when I brush. I get told I have to get a “deep cleaning”. I get left in the chair for 20 minutes while they verify with my insurance to see if they’ll cover a procedure I never agreed to. She comes back with a price sheet and tells me I’ll have to pay 600 bucks for a deep cleaning when my insurance will pay for 100% of a normal cleaning. They would not just give me a normal cleaning so I left. I swear going to the dentist is like buying a used car these days. Deep cleanings, fluoride, whitening, etc.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed. I will not go back. I just had a visit. My last one was over 6 months ago. I left confused as to why they didn't clean my teeth. I saw the dentist 2 days ago with finally an explanation as to why I will not get a cleaning. They promised to send me estimates and I still haven't gotten it , even after they said they sent it and I confirmed my email. Very difficult to get a breakdown over phone. Earlier in the year, I had a refund and it took me over 2 months and calling every day to get a credit card refund . They explained that they get the refunds from corporate only. I will be looking for another Dentist. I've given them many chances and I'm only writing this review so that other people don't go through the same hassle.

It is refreshing to see so many excellent doctors and staff members in one office!****Absolutely, by far, the best dental experience I have ever had. From scheduling appt, to front desk, and doctor, all exceeded expectations! And Tanya and Dr. Hung go above and beyond to make things as easy and the environment as stress free as is possible. And Dr. Hung does amazing job of keeping pain to a bare minimum when having to give roof of mouth and cheek injection. I am a lifetime customer, now!

The dental hygienist did a stellar job. Dr.Rema pulled out this baby tooth I had and needed to get removed before my braces. She did it so smoothly. I am so happy I found this team!
