I’m happy this is our dentist. I also had my youngest with me and they made her comfortable while she waited for her big sister to be done.

The staff is excellent from the front desk, to the X-ray technician, to the hygienists and all the way to the dentist. They are very organized and on top of things making our visits quick and smooth. Experiencia fantástica: This was my daughter's first dentist appointment and it was so fast! We were in and out of the building in less than 30 minutes. The staff were all very friendly. They even gave my daughter a lunch voucher and let her pick a toy before leaving. The waiting area has a little table with toys and even some tablets with games to pass the time (not that we were waiting very long anyway). Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: ZERO stars if I could! Dr Hill is nice but practice has deceptive billing since their 0% interest, isn’t 0% because they actually give a cash pay discount (more info at bottom). The first time my son was seen for phase 1 banding, we were waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes past his appointment time for less than 5 minutes to insert the bands. His second appointment he had his expander placed (the wait was reasonably 15minutes after his appointment time) went great until it was time to make his next appointment. He was supposed to turn for 21 days and come back in 3 weeks for braces and chains, the earliest appointment they had was 8 weeks away! I tried to make an appointment at the Kyle location and was told they preferred to keep all of his care at 1 location. His contract was 18months, at this rate it would take 2.5-3years. After waiting 3 weeks to see if a cancellation had come up, I was told that he could be seen at the Kyle location because his appointment needed to be 1.5hours and it was hard to fit him in at the New Braunfels location. Except they did not have an appointment until 4 days before his already scheduled appointment (still 5 weeks away). So I immediately began looking for another orthodontist to transfer his care. I found another orthodontist around the corner and couldn’t be more happy. Turns out he doesn’t need braces or chains, he did need a lot more turns than the original 21, and his appliance was loose and was unwinding itself so it is now glued. I cancelled with this office and transferred care, his plan was decreased $2800 and the new office is only going to charge $500 for a retainer at a later point. However when I cancelled no one cared to ask why I had chosen to change care so soon after starting, the office really doesn’t care about the patients. I spent the next few weeks trying to get an itemized bill for what they charged me for…turns out there isn’t one, they gave me a paper that shows original contract price $4000, discounted to $1200, then a list of all of my payments! No list of ortho’s fee, no list price for appliance fee. But when I began looking into bill their 0% interest payment plan ISN’T 0%, they told me my son’s care would be $4000 but it was actually $3800 if paid in cash because they have a cash pay discount and then charge 2.87% on the $3800. I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Children’s Dental Ranch of New Braunfels was a wonderful experience for my children. We walked in to a beautiful, clean, and welcoming environment. Were greeted immediately. We were called on time for our appointment. The girls enjoyed playing with the tablets in the waiting room. The hygienists and dentist did so well with my children. They were kind and not scary at all. They were patient and friendly. They praised my daughter for doing well during her cleaning as that can be scary but she did well and the hygienist took great care of her. The xrays were done on my 4 year old and we will get them done when my youngest turns 3 as they informed me they don’t perform X-rays until the children are 3. They made everything look so fun to my youngest she became eager for her turn. The dentist answered all of my questions. The children were provided goodie bags, stickers, and got to choose a toy from the toy chest area. Overall, this is a wonderful pediatric dental establishment and I look forward to continuing to bring my children and refer others too.

Experiencia negativa: If you can get on their books, you're luckier than me! I scheduled appointments online for timeslot A. Received a confirmation email a week later for timeslot B. Not what I booked, but fine, we dealt with it. Then got a call a couple days before the appointment saying the "requested appointment time was unavailable, could we do timeslot C?". I tried to clarify with the woman who called me that I did not "request" timeslot B, I filled out patient paperwork for, and confirmed timeslot B, according to her practice's communications. She just kept saying "I can do timeslot C" or "should we do another date?" over and over again, clearly not computing their mistake. If their office is this big a mess on the front end, I have no desire to bring my children to them for care!

The current dentist has the best bed side manner I've experienced and was even able to speak with my kids and get them to engage as well. The dental hygienist are beyond angels as they take the time to help the kiddos understand the importance and proper way to brush. Schedule staff is also the kindest and willing to help with any questions.

The pricing was also the best we found anywhere. I’m beyond happy with our experience. Thank you SO much for taking such great care of my daughter. As a mom with TONS of past dental trauma, I always want the best treatment for my children. You guys are the best!!!! Highly HIGHLY recommend!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Overall, very good place very clean very nice staff very nice people. My oldest son with autism felt very comfortable for a cleaning and x-rays, as well as my two toddlers and that speaking from us being new to new Braunfels.

Experiencia negativa: Twice we’ve been to have a simple cavity treatment and twice it has not been successful. Forced to pay upfront and are now locked into a facility who cares more about money than the well being of your child. They rushed the procedure so much so the meds didn’t even kick in until we were getting ready to leave to which I explained it looks like it he is feeling it now, they then said they used all anesthetic already and couldn’t proceed….we planned on treating 2 teeth and they “used it all on one” we are not forced to put our 4 year old under general anesthesia in a hospital setting for a simple dental procedure because it wasn’t quick and easy like they seem to like. We have now paid 3 times for not even one tooth taken care of appropriately. They don’t care about your child or a treatment plan that suits them they care about making the most money. My child was wheeled out head bobbing and uttering jargon they didn’t have him recover they had the manager come back and get us out of there fast as she could. ABSOLUTELY AWEFUL, please don’t let your child’s experience at the dentist suffer at the hands of this greedy place.

Update 8/2025 - I am beyond impressed with the staff and owners at Children’s Dental Ranch NB (particularly Blair, the office manager, you rock Blair!). I recently became part of the PTA board for my kids elementary school a mile away from the dentist’s office. All of us board members decided to contact the local businesses we spend money at and see if they’d be willing to reinvest in our kids and school. I called Children’s Dental Ranch to see if they’d donate to our PTA and stock the teacher’s lounge with snacks and drinks. Blair responded to all of my emails quickly and had a very generous donation ready less than a week later. Our teachers were so happy to walk into the lounge on the first day and see all of these awesome snacks! We still have tons to restock throughout the month. Way to over-deliver, Children’s Dental Ranch! I am proud to be a longtime supporter!! And as my original review said, my kids love to come here and the staff always helps me get 3 rowdy kids in and out quickly in one visit so I’m not missing multiple days of work. We have had some complex treatments including a “baby root canal” on a 4 year old and they’ve nailed it every time. They are the best ❤️

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely unacceptable experience. I am beyond disappointed and upset with how my daughter was treated at this dental office. They did not even wait for the numbing to take effect before starting her treatment. She was clearly in pain the entire time, and when it was finally over, she said, "I think the numbing is just now kicking in." That is completely unacceptable. What kind of dental professionals proceed with a procedure on a child before ensuring she’s numb and comfortable? There was a complete lack of care, empathy, and professionalism. We trusted this office with our child’s health and well-being, and that trust was completely violated. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially not for pediatric care. Do better. Children deserve better. The entire procedure for two fillings was rushed and took no more than 20 minutes. That’s completely unacceptable. It felt like they were more focused on speed than on providing proper care. Definitely not a place I would recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: My 3 year old son recently had to be sedated/with anesthesia to fix a few teeth he had. They contract a anesthesia company to come in to the dentist office on procedure day. Everything worked out great and went smoothly beside being a little nervous as a mom in having your child put to sleep for the procedure. It was convenient having it all done in one location and not having to go to a surgery center to get the procedure done. TheDoctor from his staff were all wonderful and did a great job and took very good care of my little boy. Yes, I highly recommend this dental office for all your children dental needs. They are AWESOME!!!!. And will take great care of your KIDDO'S

The Anesthesia team they use is completely unprofessional and over charges and childrens dental ranch does not keep their own records to make sure their clients aren't over charged. It was the worst experience leaving the office with a screaming child waking up from Anesthesia, this should be done in a hospital like my daughters was. I'm so upset by how all if this was handled and we will never gi back.

For various reasons we had gone a couple of years pushing a visit to the dentist and my 13 yr old daughter was most anxious, as she had one baby tooth left that was wiggly but stubborn and not falling off. Dr. Tony was so nice and reassuring to her. He explained to us the quick and simple procedure of pulling the tooth out and talked her through the whole process, easing her concerns. Both my son and daughter felt comfortable during their cleanings as the staff was very professional and friendly, including xray tech and front desk ladies. While we were there, they were kind to offer some extra services but weren’t pushy about it as we were paying out of pocket. I would also say, compared to most other places I called, their prices were very reasonable! We will be back!

Appointment: Making an appointment was easy online and the receptionist also helped me navigate my insurance and truly showed she cared about our visit today. Clinic: the moment you walk in you’re greeted by the friendliest receptionist and kid-friendly environment (movie playing, table with toys and two tablets). My 19 month old felt right at home. Our wait time was maybe 15 minutes, because it was our first time there. Visit: was super quick and painless. The hygienist was friendly and informative, and the dentist was also very kind and helpful. I love clinics that actually outfit the space like a mini classroom and have friendly staff! Definitely 5 stars for us!

Experiencia fantástica: I normally feel a bit overwhelmed with three kids but the staff was so kind and welcoming. The process was quick and they are very informative about what they’re doing and kind about telling parents anything the kids need to work on more when it comes to dental hygiene. The environment itself was beyond adorable! Not to mention clean. This will be my new permanent dental office!

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday was our first experience at Children's Dental Ranch of New Braunfels and the kids are already asking when they can go back. That may have something to do with the great selection of toys to choose from if you behave while you are there. HA! From my momma standpoint, it is a just a comfortable place to be. The lobby is small but it has the cutest decor and is comfy to sit while you wait. Check in and wait time was very speedy, all of the associates where very friendly and patient. My 4 and 6 year olds boys got x-rays and their teeth cleaned with no fussing. Dr. Tony was the sweetest! Arrival to departure time was less than 1hr. So Impressive! See you in 6 months for another spectacular experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I had been looking for a new children's dental office, so I started searching online. CDR had exceptional reviews & what sold me is that they offer Orthodontist services as well. I had a feeling my daughter was going to be a candidate for braces in the near future. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we walked out, everyone we came across greeted us with a smile & remain very professional at all times. The Dentist Dr. Machani was very helpful & explained to us in detail on our next steps. My daughter is looking forward to her next appointment.
