Experiencia fantástica: I had another great experience with Dr. Haag and the team at Comal Dental today. I needed a crown, and Dr. Haag took the time to show me how their impressive in-house technology works, including the CNC-style equipment used to mill a custom ceramic crown. My crown took only 12 minutes to mill and another 20 minutes in the furnace. Having a custom crown made onsite in about 35 minutes was amazing! I’ve been going to Comal Dental for the past few years and have always received excellent care. Thank you, Dr. Haag and team!

Their equipment is top notch and comfortable to the patient. The area is clean and fresh, and the staff at the desk efficiently provide information about my insurances & appointments. Claudia did my cleaning today. She's gentle, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'm glad they are my dental team.

Experiencia negativa: As much as I would like to give this Dental office 5 stars. Sorry to say my experience in the end left me feeling like I wasn’t cared for like I expected. I was left with major pain after an extraction I called Dr Haag during the weekend and no call back. I suffered for days. He asked me to go to his office and open my mouth with excruciating pain just so he could check me. I was suffering with pain annd an UTI. After he had sent me home with no antibiotics and or pain medication. I was really pleased with this dentist at first and his staff, Seemed very pleasant and empathetic. I was given options as to what to get dental bridge or partial (which my insurance would cover) I would still need $500 out of pocket for upgraded partial bridge because he designed them and apparently the best according to him, w/o the $500 I’d get a mediocre deal. My insurance would cover dental bridge, my choice but insurance denied partial payment. I asked Dr Haag to help me appeal for the rest to help me get the entire process paid but his mother Claudia, ( I think that is her name) that handled billing wouldn’t hear of it, making decisions w/o consulting with Dr Haag and she belittled me by saying I wasn’t eligible to receive any help from them. That “I shouldn’t be there if I couldn’t afford it” was what she told me. Bridget, front desk person was always sweet but I could tell the atmosphere had shifted to an uncomfortable position after my second extraction and calling for some pain relief. Dr Haag, is a very good at being a dentist but lacks empathy and feels like everyone experiences the same post operative pain the same. I ended up with a UTI cause of consuming to many ibuprofen and Tylenol. Due to other meds that counteracted. Dentist are not Doctors so they will make bad choices in keeping pain and suffering from happening in some severe cases and taking action against those suffering should be prioritized not ignored! Go on your own account to this dental office and I wish you the best. Some pretty Snooty group of people, except for dental assistants. “Really cashing in on the upgrades” eh? Dr Haag!

Experiencia fantástica: my first visit at the practice was this morning and i had a lot of anxiety going into it because my past gum history is not the greatest . i will say that i had a great experience here so far and that all of the staff seemed to work as a team to come up with a plan that will work for me in order to get my mouth back to healthy . i am optimistic due to the positive energy that was given to me in the office regardless of the state of my teeth . i walked in super embarrassed and not looking forward to the appointment and i left feeling comfortable and heard . im excited to see how far my teeth will be able to improve in the future . i believe nadine is going to be my hygienist and she was EXTREMELY gentle on my super inflamed gums i barely felt a thing :)

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Sarah Hagg did a crown for me on April 13, 2023. She and her husband Dr. Aaron have taken over for Dr. Ernest. I was with him since moving here from the Houston area in 2016. They have redone the interior office. I am always amazed at the quality of new equipment they have in their office. Like Dr. Ernest, they do crowns in their office same day. The fit was perfect and the charges are very reasonable. With my insurance, it was even less than my previous crowns. The entire staff is very personable.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable intouch with today’s technology Comal Dental is the place for you to go. Very personable and even helped me out when my dog tried to realign my bottom dentures. I had to have my bottom dentures adjusted and Dr. Haag worked on them until they were done so I could chew. The techs and the Dr is amazing, can’t say enough great things

Does my check always gives me a good review or if I need work he explains it completely and helps me to make arrangements for the next appointment. I can’t say enough about the staff. I like Dr. Haag very much but when the office staff has the power to make decisions for the dentist something is very wrong. The lady was extremely condescending, rude, just a bad person all the way around. Now I have to find a different dentist which is hard because it makes me nervous. Hopefully Dr. Haag will make some changes with that lady. Dam shame!

Experiencia negativa: When I went for a cleaning, the person doing x-rays was unable to do so and finally had to ask someone else. It was painful. Next the two of them poked my gums for an hour, saying there was gum disease and I would start to lose teeth. It was so terrible they had to do deep cleaning on all quadrants and pay over $1000 and come back 3 times a year for cleaning from now on. Finally after torturing me for an hour and a half they never cleaned my teeth but charged me the full amount. When I got a second opinion, my gums and teeth were fine and had no issues. I'll never go back.

Over the last couple of years, my now forever dentist, Dr. Aaron Haag has managed to slowly build my confidence to not only make a dentist appointment but actually show up and allow him to complete the work necessary. Amazing! Dr. Haag is knowledgeable, kind and extremely patient. He explains every step of each process and checks in to see that I am able to continue. The work he does is stress free and professional. Dr. Haag has a very gentle, informative approach. He truly cares about his patients. I am someone who can’t even be seen by the dental hygienist without freaking out, Nadine has also been a miracle worker. Nadine has provided personalized attention with a focus on a calm, skilled, caring approach. I was amazed at her depth of knowledge about my own specific needs since the last time I saw her for my dental hygiene care. It was evident that she took meticulous notes. To my surprise, I did not have to remind her of my own specific needs as I have in the past with other dental hygienists with other offices. Nadine is now the only dental hygienist I want to be seeing. In closing, the entire staff at Comal Dental are professional, and caring. Such a competent group in a nice clean environment. I am so glad I chose Comal Dental a couple of years ago. This group of caring professionals have helped me gain my confidence to take care of my every dental need. Experiencia negativa: I’ve used and been happy with Comal Dental for 10+ years, paying for service with co. Ins. I just retired, so my first visit as a cash customer was a different experience. I asked of 3 different people including scheduler for just a cleaning and ended up paying for exam I did not ask for. If you use these guys, be prepared for upselling of services and make sure you get a second opinion before you accept add on services like deep cleans, etc

The shot to numb me by Dr. Haag was administered so well that I didn’t even feel it. I called on their day off, and within the hour both of them came to take care of me. They are the most caring, kind and gentle people I’ve ever met; and he explained exactly what was going to take place each step of each procedure they were getting ready to do. Dr. Haag pulled my tooth and Dr. Hansen assisted. I hardly felt a thing. I just call that above and beyond service to another human being. I’m blessed, no doubt about that.

Experiencia negativa: My wife went in for her yearly cleaning and with the office visit and insurance from extra exrays was about $100, they recommended deep cleaning and after two more visits; one visit bottom about $400 and then one visit top about $300. Then they submit to insurance and it's about $270 more. Overall $1000 for deep cleaning. My wife was happy that they cleaned her teeth, my wallet was very upset about the cost. Thank you but no thank you; never going back there.

Very pleasantly surprised with the care and concern given my situation i was given along with attention to detail. There was an apprentice there that asked questions. I was perfectly fine with detail on my visit. The young man has to learn somehow. Staff was very friendly and understanding. If I could give more than 5 I would. I highly recommend this family oriented caring clinic. I found a dentist finally that cares.

After a quick online search for emergency dental services, they were able to fit me in the same day—though I ultimately ended up being seen the following day. During my appointment, Dr. Haag performed a thorough x-ray examination, clearly explained the issue, and carried out the necessary procedure to resolve the problem. Despite my appointment being scheduled on short notice, the team showed a genuine sense of urgency, treating me with patience, kindness, and compassion throughout. Had an extraction done and was healing well but started to have a lot of pain from a bone spur that had developed and Dr Haag was willing to see me on a Sunday afternoon as an emergency visit since I was flying out of town on a business trip the next morning. Great family owned practice, great staff, highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: As someone who would shy away from the camera due to her smile I can now say I’m ready for the spot light. I have caught myself staring in the mirror over and over and still not believing it. The staff were amazing! Tracy walked me through my cleaning process and made me feel very comfortable. When it came time for my treatment anxiety hit and I was worried about what the Dr would say and let me tell you, he said all the right things. He didn’t push veneers, he didn’t upscale me on work he asked what I wanted and listened. For a mom of 2 the cost was also in my price range due to him being conservative about my treatment. We ended up doing 2 veneers from old dental bonding that had ruined my teeth and filled some cracks in the front. It was the easiest dental experience ever and for being a dental office.. the most relaxing. I hated the dentist before this office but now can say 1-I will have a regular schedule for cleanings and treatments and 2- I CANT STOP SMILING!!! This office and dental team are absolutely amazing !!!
