Experiencia fantástica: We recently came up here from Ocala, Florida, and needed to find a local dentist. I scoured the Internet and finally decided on Ideal Dental. It turned out to be the perfect choice! I called them, and they took me the same day. They are friendly, Assiduous, and extremely competent. This will be my new local dentist from now on!

Experiencia fantástica: Ideal Dental in University Place is seriously a breath of fresh air. Im a new patient there and went in this morning for my first fillings and deep cleaning; the experience was smooth from start to finish. First off.. They are open Saturdays which is a BIG bonus for me (since my work schedule makes week day appointments basically impossible for my own self care needs, and generally have to stay reserved for my kids appts). Please don’t EVERRRR take away Saturday appts lol! Secondly, the two lovely ladies up front are both super friendly + personable. Yolanda is also who ran my insurance and is very to the point and easy going while explaining any OOP costs with zero confusion and/or surprises. I really appreciated the fact that they didn’t try to tack on any unnecessary treatments while I was in the chair or push their product expenses, which I know other offices tend to try and do. The Doctor and her assistant today were very kind, communicative and thorough; I genuinely enjoyed my individual conversations with them both while they worked. They also have good chair-side manner which is important and made me feel more comfortable and relaxed during my cleaning. Even though I’m not someone who’s afraid of the dentist, comfort still matters (especially before a deep clean when it comes to those numbing shots not fun). So that being said, I can confidently say I feel very welcome and comfortable not just today but every time I’ve had to call and speak to the front staff prior to my appt too. I’m looking forward to keeping them as my dentist going forward if things keep going as smooth as it’s been so far, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone I know ♥️ P.S. just a lil random FYI, I always see open handicap parking spots open at this plaza and additional spots are always free in the plaza garage which is literally across from the office, so not far at all. If anyone complains about parking issues in their reviews? They are beyond lazy ‍♀️ that part is certain. P.S.S. For those who pay attention to details… The overall aesthetic is a sleek, minimalistic and simplistic modern vibe + looks AND smells CLEAN! Even the bathroom smelled good okay?…. Idk about everyone else but personally a well kept bathroom speaks volumes to me

Experiencia negativa: Ideal ? I don't think so. At this clinic, all they care about is how much money they can squeeze out of you. Service and customer satisfaction does not come first for them. They will not tell you all the information upfront and the Doctors will do the things they think are important only to send you an extra bill while you have already paid what you were told was needed. Big con game going on there! Very disappointed. All the services I paid for had to be done somewhere else! 1 star since there is no way to give negative stars

Experiencia negativa: I’m just here to share my experience, since I won’t be revisiting. I used to really like this office and the staff, but things have gone downhill. At my last visit, I specifically told them not to do anything that wasn’t covered by insurance. They still went ahead with a fluoride treatment that wasn’t covered and later billed both me and my husband $35 each. It took over two weeks and several unanswered calls before someone finally got back to me — only to say I “should be more aware” of what’s covered, even though I double-checked during the visit that there’d be no extra charges. Now my husband also has to call them himself just to get his fee waived, which adds even more hassle. They eventually waived the charge, but the lack of communication, accountability, and disregard for what patients clearly say was disappointing. I also remember seeing another review mentioning a similar issue, but it seems to have disappeared — which makes me wonder. I’m sharing this so others can be aware and hopefully avoid the same frustration. I’m not angry, and I’m sorry if I sounded upset over the call — just genuinely disappointed after years of trusting this office.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is great. They took X-rays, and a picture of my gums and teeth. I needed 4 fillings. Dr. Gill was great. And was able to do the fillings same day. There was no surprise with costs, everything was discussed after the initial imaging and consult.

The check in process was smooth and easy, Dr. Le and his staff provided excellent care and a detailed care plan for what needed to be done for my teeth. There was no pushing for any kind of treatment, the decision was left completely up to me and I respect that very much! The dentist’s office is usually my least favorite place to visit but I might just change my mind on that. :) Thank you everyone!

Experiencia negativa: My experience started great. Then it all went down hill. I was given one price that was too high for my budget, they told me they were doing me a favor and lowered the price to what I could afford. Instead they just did less work than what was needed. I ended up being in severe pain after and they said “oh we decided not to do that root canal”. I had to come back in for an additional root canal that was mysteriously covered by the dental office. I then came back in for a cleaning and for my crowns. I was told I need to make another appointment for my crowns to be looked at after the cleaning to make sure they are all still fitting and not causing pain. I made the appointment and I get a call the day before saying my insurance is maxed out for the entire year. I’m not covered for my next appointment for any cleanings for the remainder of the year. I laughed on the phone because of everything I have already been through with the dentist facility. Arlene hung up the phone on me. I believe I was lied to and fraud was committed by this company. It’s a shame that they have people like Arlene running their front desk who truly do not want to help the customers understand. If I could shared the recording of Arlene today I’m sure many people would not want to do business with this company. She was rude and dismissive and never tried to help understand. Instead told me I’m being difficult so she’s going to be difficult . Yolanda was nothing less than amazing to me however I was still not ever given a clear bill of the treatment that was done and when I asked for a treatment plan arlene told me “If you want to be difficult I can be difficult too” and walked away. Arlene cancelled my appointment for tomorrow and walked away. I hope no one spends their money here as I truly believe they are committing fraud and do not have the best interest for their customers. Experiencia fantástica: Came in as moral support for my husband, who was about to get TWO molars pulled (aka, dental drama level: expert). I expected chaos, maybe a dramatic fainting scene (from me, not him). But nope! it was shockingly quick, smooth, and kind of... chill? The doctor and nurses were amazing! Very professional, friendly, and totally cool with our million pre-surgery concerns and questions. They explained everything clearly, no scary dentist vibes at all. Bonus: the pricing didn't make us cry either, so it’s a double win! My husband walked out with fewer teeth but a lot of relief, and I left thinking, "Wow, that was... actually nice?" Highly recommends!

Aaliyah makes me so comfortable everytime i come in she is so sweet and her conversations ease anxiety and stress so well. My main dentist (I cant spell his name ) is very friendly, quick, and thorough in making sure you are well taken care of. Experiencia fantástica: 01/07/2024 Just an update on location, I’ve seen reviews that don’t correctly sit right with how well this location and its staff perform, like most places there will be new arrivals to staff as well as needs, it’s my opinion and my experience that they give a well rounded service to every patients needs, regardless of new or old staff, there is some waiting in volved but nothing you can’t connect with the staff to better suit your needs they are wonderful, there’s been personal matters that got in the way of my visit and upon calling I wasn’t hassled nor did I feel treated differently they respected me and my want to return and scheduled my next appointment. Lots of buisness receive bad reviews by ppl who expect to have their minds read but I just don’t feel ideal dental is one of them. Ideal Dental by far exceeds quality , they’re helpful up at the receptionist desk she’s very friendly (should have asked her name sorry) her partner is of equal both great , the Dr., words won’t do anyone here justice I greatly recommend this place don’t take anyone’s word just go check it out see for yourself

But since I moved to Washington State three years ago I have been going to Ideal dental and my experience has always been positive. The dentist who use to be there was kind and listened. However my last visit was not good. I left not feeling good and I still bothered by the visit. I am not sure I will go back to ideal dental. I know they are currently looking for a dentist to be at that location permanently but please try and hire or find substitutes with good bed side manners.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a patient of Ideal Dental for over a year. I’ve gotten to know everyone in their office- front staff as well as their hygienist, dentist & the dental assistants. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly, as well as polite. They have the newest X-ray units, pretty sophisticated equipment! The office is very clean. They have TVs in their reception as well as in their operatories. Parking is very convenient-fre parking is across the street in their garage which, or pay through a parking app, for the street parking.

He was kind and gentle and his assistant was the first one that didn’t let me drown while they were working on me! What a relief! I recommend Ideal Dental. They have all new equipment and lots of knowledge. They are in University Place close to Whole Foods.

Experiencia fantástica: 1st time patient at this place and the 1st time in a dentist chair in 24 years. Nothing in life gives me more anxiety than having to have any sort of dental work done. And I'm a Combat Army Veteran. So I was open with the hygenist about my anxiety as soon as I sat down. I hate that I didn't write her name down, but she was fantastic. She made me feel much less stressed as she talked me through her thoughts on what she thought the dentist would likely suggest as a course of treatment once he had an opportunity to examine me. All of which was confirmed by the dentist. Again, I wish I had written his name down, because he was a really good dentist. Ideal has quite a few different payment options, making them pretty affordable in my opinion. The staff is friendly, compassionate, and treat u like someone they care about, not just someone they wanna squeeze money out of. The office was super clean, narry a speck of dust anywhere and they have lots of locations all over the U.S. My wife and I are traveling to a new state every 13 werks and I need periodontal care and orthodontic care, so knowing I can stroll into a location pretty much within an hour drive from most states and get seen by someone who can simply pull up my file in their system is quite the flex. I would absolutely recommend others to the Ideal Dentistry family. The only thing I would change about my experience there if I could is I'd replace all of the fake plants in the office with real living plants. Though, I'm sure the reason the plants are fake is to keep allergy issues down. So this is just a personal preference, not criticism. Thanks, Ideal Dentistry Staff!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Dr Son and staff for about 2 years or more I'm very pleased with them, although we all strive for them to comply with our dental needs, there are some circumstances they can not meet due to insurances policies this does not mean they are a wrong dental practice, they have ALWAYS comply with my care especially with dental insurance and Arlene continues to work on my behalf with insurance. Overall, a pleasant experience with professional and friendly receptionist and personnel. 8-26-24 My recent visit at Ideal Dental required a core build-up. The staff is courteous and friendly. Experiencia fantástica: Found myself in an unfortunate situation and needed an emergency tooth extraction on a Sunday night. I was able to make an appointment using their website for 11am the next morning. The staff was caring and sympathetic from the moment I walked through the door. All charges were explained in great detail before we started and I was lucky to omit part of the procedure as long as it wasn’t absolutely necessary which kept my costs down. Made my appointment at 9pm Sunday for 11am Monday. Could have gotten earlier… got confirmation at 12:20am they texted me a couple forms to fill out at 9am arrived at the clinic at 10:45 got 2 sets of X-rays and was in the chair by 11. Procedure done. Instructions given. Prescription written. Payment made. And I was back on the road by 12! Thank You ideal dental! You are a life saver.

Experiencia positiva: I would have given this place 5 stars before Dr. Son left. Him and his staff gently helped me through a dental emergency and set a care plan. I came in now and it’s as if everything went downhill. I spent my hour there rushed, in discomfort, lacking seemingly any bed side manner. The doctor let me know he’s temporary and is ready to go back to his normal practice. That’s fine, I guess. But I felt extremely rushed, half-assed, and burdensome. I hope they find a doctor that wants to be there.

They were so patient and kind to me. They did everything they could to make me not feel embarrassed or rush me. The dentist was so fast! Got everything done in under an hour and I was so scared for nothing! It all went perfectly and now that the numbing has worn off, i still have zero pain. Definitely recommend this place

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone who works there is so kind and friendly and patient. I am new to the area and was so anxious about my wisdom teeth extractions and cavity fillings. They were so warm and welcoming, and also have a wisdom tooth specialist! (Huge plus!) The extractions went smoothly and the cavity fillings were quick and easy. Everyone was so professional and amazing at their jobs. They were always ready to back off if I felt discomfort or needed the suction. It has been just an overall great experience and I am so grateful to have found them. (The office is also in a really nice location, so there are other nice things to do before or after the appointment!) I highly recommend

The office is clean and professional. I have had a teeth cleaning, fillings, and night guard fitting completed at this location, and I was very satisfied with each appointment.

They listen to you, they work with you, their office is very cute in a very nice area, they value you as a patient & actually take the time to work with your unique situation! Schedule the appointment! Hablan español! Here’s the longer story lol Everything has been great from the first phone call/conversation I had with Arlene to schedule my first visit. She was very helpful & friendly had me scheduled as soon as possible on a day she knew I would be able to get treatment since my dental situation needed urgent treatment. I was a bit nervous for the appointment since I’ve had bad experiences at other dental offices but thankfully Arlene is actually nicer in person not just over the phone ahaha from checking in to checking out she was there helping me understand the breakdown of treatment plans & what all my insurance covered & explained all of the other options available to me like financing, payment plans & memberships which was great I really appreciate her thoroughness & her taking the time to re explain everything I didn’t fully understand the first time, during & after my first visit. I was seen by Dr.Sun who was also great! Again I was nervous because the last experience I had with previous dentist was very unpleasant, however Dr. Sun quickly made me feel comfortable, heard & recommended a treatment plan that made sense & that I actually love & feel comfortable with. thankfully Arlene scheduled me on a day both dentist would be in office so I was able to get treatment that same day! I was shocked when they both explained that was an option, incredibly grateful for that! Dr.Sun & the dental assistant did great, it was a length procedure but it got done & I am so excited for the end result truly appreciate it! This time I’m actually looking forward to continuing dental care with them, I have never felt so welcomed, understood & heard at a dental office before! Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Loved my visit at Ideal Dental! I was a little worrisome going in for my appointment, I haven't had the best experiences at dentists. But, the doctor and staff were all very pleasant. I wish I could remember the name of the doctor, but he was kind and very gentle with my cleaning. Staff were professional as well and it was nice having conversations with them. Highly recommend this facility to everyone.
