Experiencia fantástica: If you're reading Google reviews to decide if this is the dentistry office you want just stop. It is! Trust me, trust my teeth, trust in Tranquility Dental Wellness to take care of your mental health and teeth with the same level of excellence as they did mine. I felt like I walked into a high end spa that happened to remember to clean my teeth as well. I got wax on my hands to keep them butter soft. Eye patches that refreshed and reduced puffiness. Aromatherapy during the appointment (go for the citrus). I also had a heated massage chair and a heated neck towel thing. Skip the spa day and have insurance pay for it. Kalieah is a rockstar of a dental assistant that was patient and professional while I ensured everything we did was covered by insurance (it was)! Warren is the best hygienist on the planet, I've had dental cleanings before but all of them combined paled in comparison to their indefatigable pursuit of cleaning my teeth! Let's not forget the good Doctor Roxan, I have no proof to support this claim but she definitely graduated top of her class. If that's incorrect she's still a class act with top notch massaging chair-side manner.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is friendly and listens to my needs. I have a bad dental anxiety but Dr Roxan gave painless shots (never in my life I have encountered painless numbing from a dentist). Thankful that I found my forever dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I had a really bad and traumatic experience doing wisdom tooth extraction with Dr Roxan. The team cannot stop the bleeding during the procedure and just walk me to an urgent care across the street and left me there. It was very bad that even the nurses in the Multicare Indigo Urgent Care did not know what to do. Dr Roxan and Mercedes the assistant at the time only told me that there is nothing to worry and the urgent care will take care of this. This is very unethical, confusing, and misleading. On top of that, I ended up with an additional bill from this urgent care, that I am not aware of. This is a really bad and traumatic experience for me. I ended up just went home and slept and just sucked in the pain until my bleeding stopped overnights. I just need to suck this experience, and have it go through. The doctor did check on me, but this is once in a lifetime experience that I don't want others to also experience.

When it comes to dental treatment they are not professional or experienced. I had a bad time being referred to a service that is out of my insurance network which had resulted in an unexpected billing on my end.

Experiencia fantástica: Great dental experience! It’s all in the name of the place! Everyone was gentle and explained everything before doing it. My comfort was important to them at all times. Everyone was patient and kind and worked really well together as a team to get the job done efficiently safely and with my comfort. My favorite thing is their menu for different things they offer like noise canceling headphones and an eye mask. Felt more like a spa in the best way! I also love that they use warm/room temp water when rinsing my mouth as I have a sensitivity to cold and I use warm water at home. It’s little things like that that make a really big difference in a dental experience. I would recommend this dental office to anyone and everyone!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I transfered our care to this facility and were very impressed upon walking in. Very clean, relaxing, spacious, several waiting rooms, complimentary services and coffee bar. If you have dentist anxiety, this is the place to go. It doesn't feel or sound like a dental facility, you are encouraged to relax rather than hearing drills and tools and feeling anxious.

Experiencia negativa: I went in with recent X-rays taken just a week prior for a tooth that was causing me throbbing pain and waking me up at night. Despite this, they insisted on taking new x-rays and then told me all I "needed" was a cleaning. A cleaning is not going to solve the real issue I came in for. I was then scheduled for a $300 cleaning in two days, with the explanation that only after that would they attempt to remove a filling and address the underlying problem. I left feeling confused, frustrated, and like I paid $223 for essentially nothing. Additionally, I found the dentist seemed uncertain about the treatment plan. I still have no clarity about what's actually going on with my tooth. Overall, I did not feel this visit was helpful or focused on addressing the urgent issue I came in for. I will not be back.

Experiencia negativa: Only reason i went to this place because I live in 5 min distance from this clinic. Today, I waited 30 minutes at the clinic for my every 6month cleaning. Woman Dentist came in and talked to me that she can't take me today because I refused to get their x ray. Last visit( 6month ago) they got my x ray and I talked to a male doctor that I had a dental exam and full treatment from Korea and gave them information during the doctor-patient conversation. The problem is that this dental place, they never gave me the same doctor. Always had to see the difference doctor for every visit. This kind of treatment plan never works. Anyway, I couldn't get my teeth cleaning today and wasted my precious time. Not recommend this place.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is the best, they fit me in last minute when they were busy to get my extractions done as I was in pain. Dr Roxan is incredibly a very good dentist and was patient with my anxiety, Her and her assistants are truly amazing and gave me such great patient care. Definitely will be coming here from now and love that they have a comfort menu where I got to watch Netflix.

The first time, I got a $5 Starbucks gift card for the inconvenience; the second time, it wasn't even acknowledged. This repeated disorganization and lack of respect for my time is extremely disappointing.

Experiencia negativa: I moved here a few years ago and my wife and i both gave tranquility a try on the recommendation of yelp. Unfortunately the reviews there since have tanked and seem to represent a more realistic view of what its like to be a customer. Ive moved around a lot and been to a lot of dentists and never been to one who nickel and dimed me but also seemed to constantly be scamming you. I got a bill the other day for services performed in may of 2024, over a year ago. None of their employees were able to tell me what the bill was for even though i called five times. I got a crown last year and the people at the front desk were absolutely desperate to get every cent out of me they could at the time. It really feels like they kind of care about taking care of your teeth but care a tonnn about emptying your wallet, even if they cant describe what the bill is even for. Really disappointed with tranquility and my wife and i will be looking for a new, more honest dental office going forward.

All of the ladies were incredibly friendly, and during my cleaning with Destini I felt so comfortable and safe!! It was super nice making conversation and her, Dr. Barrett, and Julie all gave excellent advice on how to maintain better dental health. I never felt scared or embarrassed despite having poor dental health, and I knew that they genuinely prioritized my comfort and healing over all else. Destini did a great job with my cleaning, and I'm coming back soon for more work, but overall, I cannot recommend them enough. They are clearly a group of girls that love working with each other and love what they do, and I wouldn't trust anyone more to do my dental work. Thank you so much ladies!!!!

Experiencia negativa: My family and I needed to find a new dental clinic due to insurance change. I decided to make appointments for all 5 of us here because their location and their comfort services. I make the appointments, but it wasn't easy as the person I was speaking with wasn't paying attention that I said we have 2 separate plans. Our children's plan are different than my husband and I. I had to repeat this info over and over. I got the appts scheduled and was told our appts our 1 hour long. The children's appts were a week after ours . The day of My husband and I appt, we got there at 920 to check in for our 930 & 1030 appts. I didn't get called in until 950 AM. Also while waiting, a patient checks in and they overbooked an equipment and was unable to see this patient who was upset as they took the day off for the appt. (i'd be upset too) My husband also wasn't seen until almost 11 am. At almost 12 noon, I had asked about the status and was told that first patient appt are 1.5 long. When I made the appts, I was told 1 hour. I was upset as if they told me it's really 1.5 long I would've coordinated my other appt at a later time. This made me miss an important appt. From that experience, I canceled my children's appointments.

Experiencia negativa: The absolute worst customer service. The patients before me who checked in were given excellent service as I sat there filling out paperwork. After I turned in my paperwork I had to ask about the additional waiting room and coffee station she had showed everyone else. Attitude was horrible. I would like to be treated the same as every patient walking through that door. They need better front desk people who cares about their job. I canceled my appointment and left.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible customer service! Won’t be coming back once they finally correct the bill I shouldn’t have. I have been calling and texting for weeks about a billing issue and they won’t even reply or call me back. The two times I have managed to speak to someone they told me “we will look into that now and call you back” only to never respond to me again. Update: after 4 months of calling and texting they finally looked into it and admitted they scheduled me for a cleaning too early for my insurance to cover it and said too bad, you have to pay for our error out of pocket. Just overall incompetent staff here.

Experiencia negativa: I had a terrible experience here in 2018 where the dentists lied to me about how my fillings they were going to fill and then they double it without my consent. Today at 8:45 PM I get a text asking about scheduling a cleaning and get my dental care back on track. 1). I left you clinic 6 years ago and I’ve been very happy with Dr. Megan Jones who provides excellent care. and 2). I never opted or consented to text messages and they texted me at 8:45 PM. These items violate WA state law RCW 19.190.070. I’ll be making a report of this violation to the appropriate office

Experiencia fantástica: This is an ABOVE AND BEYOND dental clinic. Not only because of the amenities and added little touches but what really stuck out , was the level of kindness, care and compassion they treat their clients with. I had an emergency removal of a tooth and was so scared and anxious. All of the ladies in the clinic including the dentist herself made everything so easy and pleasant . It is affordable , and more importantly a place that truly puts their patients mental wellness first . The doctor did such a great job during the extraction, I literally was SHOCKED when we were done. And then I have little to no pain after the procedure. You can tell she really knows what she is doing and again puts the clients comfortably first ! This is my primary dentist from here on out and would recommend to anyone .

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed my visit. The dentist isn’t something anyone looks forward to but this visit was very different. I did have a novice or inexperienced person at the very beginning and was really stressed about that but the lead hygienist Hayley came in and saved the day. They really look to making you as comfortable as possible. The dentist was also very kind.

Experiencia positiva: Overall a good experience. Teeth felt clean after visit. One less star for I was not told about the additional cost for the fluoride treatment. It was a bit of a surprise when I checked out that I owed an additional $56 for this 3 minute treatment and 30 cents worth of fluoride.

OFI: They used to offer Netflix with headphones. Last two times the headphones are either broken or TV doesn’t work. This helps with patient anxiety. Just saying.

I just got a bill for 600$ over a month after a procedure, all because they “didn’t realize”my insurance didn’t cover me. They just wanted my money . Find somewhere that doesn’t lie to you.

Experiencia negativa: They gave me an estimate, scheduled my service then insurance denied my coverage. So I had to pay the difference. They said it’s my responsibility to check. Now I know to get preauthorization. If they paid my difference, $289, I would stayed. I’ve been going there for 1.5 years cause we moved. I will look for a new dentist that offers better service.

They say they offer all these care services like heated neck pillows, a blanket, aroma therapy, parafin dip, yet I was not offered one of them! I had to ask for the blanket and the heated neck pillow didn’t even stay on my neck. They are more concerned about selling you on services you may or may not need. There are so many better qualified dental practices.

The Doctor’s examination much more thorough than I’m used to and he was so kind in his communication with me. Experiencia negativa: I used to rave about this place, but something has changed over the last year. I have high anxiety when going to dentist and they sell that they offer all kinds of things to help with that. Normally they offer a blanket and head phones, netflix, and a whole menu of other things. I always get nitros to help. This time I was offered nothing, she couldn't get the nitros to work, and when she finally did it really didn't. It was a painful visit, left in tears.

Experiencia fantástica: I recieved my first tooth extraction on a big molar with two roots and terrible infection underneath. Then, I had the implant put in. It was a long process, but the dentist me feel as comfortable as possible. The office communicated pretty well and although there were a few misunderstandings and a last minute cancellation one time, I really appreciate receiving the service overall. This office is located in a beautiful area which I always liked. The implant feels great and I have no complaints. Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: Experience has declined significantly over past three years. First time in my life I’ve had water regularly squirted in my face and wiped off as if it was normal. They advertise the amenities and it was the first time as a four year patient I wasn’t even offered the amenities. Honestly the dentist is fine but the hygienist and assist is too variable. I will be looking for another provider.

Experiencia positiva: I had my first appointment today at the Ruston location. Routine exam, xrays, and cleaning. I was greeted and offered a drink, and only waited a minute or two before my hygienist Vanisha took me back. The facility is really beautiful and clean. Vanisha was great! Very personable and did a great thorough cleaning. The female doctor was also very nice and answered all my questions. I'm glad to have scheduled follow up appointments already. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was no one offered me anything from the complimentary comfort menu. I asked about it later in the appointment, but it was too late. I will make sure to ask upon arrival next time!

Experiencia negativa: This dental office has gone extremely downhill over the last couple of years being a patient. Very disappointed and will be looking for a new dentist. After a massive change in staffing, the efficiency, quality of care and customer service has declined exponentially. General lack of professionalism, poor communication with each other and me as the patient. They also don’t offer any of the “comfort” items they pride themselves with. Great concept for the dental industry but unfortunately poorly executed by the staff.

Experiencia negativa: I don't love that I have to leave a bad review of this dentist. The dental hygienists were all wonderful, my cleaning was great, and the front desk staff are incredibly friendly. The facilities are nice and scheduling online or over phone is very easy. The problem came with the dentist himself, Dr. James Song. I have always had relatively good dental health, I do need the occasional filling every few years, which is understandable. I have followed with another dentist for many years, but moved to the area and had to change dentist's. When I went in for a check up, he recommended I have 30 fillings, which seems like an excessive amount considering my check up six months earlier went fine, and no fillings were recommended. When I asked what the difference might be compared to my previous dentist he became quite defensive, and was unable to explain any reasoning behind it or provide any patient education. He just pointed to the machine and said that if I didn't believe what it said, he didn't know how else to convince me and that my previous dentist probably "likes doing root canals". As a healthcare provider myself I felt it was a bit strange that he was unable to provide any education on the subject and that he was so negative toward's others in his field. While I am comfortable getting fillings, I was uncomfortable with the way he approached the topic and his lack of professionalism. In the end I decided to see another dentist, who also recommended a few fillings (way less than 30) and was able to provide me with patient education about the depth of certain cavities and indications and contraindications for intervention. Therefore I cannot recommend this dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Tranquility dental for two years, first in Olympia and now in Tacoma. Both Dr. Song and Dr. Molina-Abenajo are amazing and really took care of me. They explain as they go along. I also like that I can ask for things like a little dab of lavender essential oil so I can relax and be less anxious. Would recommend esp if you're like me and get anxious and don't like going to the dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. James is a pretty cool guy. I felt quite relaxed, even the extremely wonderful lady that works with him (unfortunately I forget her name). Although it didn't happen often because they are very professional, I enjoyed the small talk between the two of them. It took my mind off being at the dentist :) They get along so well, work great together so much that I felt very comfortable. Michelle at the front is SO knowledgeable, friendly, and quick! I knew I could always rely on her to know all the things, and then some. They have parking spaces in front of the office. Not always available but I never had an issue the many times I visit the office...except that one time I thought I had an appt but didn't lol Recently got a teeth cleaning by another wonderful young lady. I also felt at ease with her. She kneeeeeew her stuff, absolutely great. I have previous trauma from a dentist from 20yrs ago in a different city & company, but everyone is so wonderful here and they made me feel 100% at ease. The only reason why I cannot keep going here is because I had to move 45mins away. I asked if they would come with me to the new Tranquility office I'll be going to, buuut.... lol. Miss you all, stay wonderful <3

But the work I had done here (crown) haunts me to this day- it was atrociously performed and has led to problems (not to mention so much money) that persist years after the initial procedure. I’ve had friends that also had work done here, and they’ve had the same experience. Not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from but I regret ever going to this office for anything other than a cleaning.

I never feel like they are trying to screw me and the menu of relaxation items is actually nice. If you go… use them, and don’t be embarrassed. They don’t mind at all. Experiencia negativa: This was the worst experience I have had with Tranquility Dental after using them for quite some time.This was mainly due to the hygienist and not the dentist. The dentist did the majority of my cleaning excluding the flossing and flouride treatment,which was fine and frankly preferable after my initial interactions with this particular hygienist. Prior to the cleaning, I requested a few comfort items that are offered and the hygienist struggled with these - clipping on neck roll stating she didnt know how to do it. She then proceeded to place the paper napkin over it so it kept getting in my mouth.. During the gum measurements that the dentist took, the hygienist struggled with recording them requiring the dentist to repeat them in multiple places. Thank goodnesss that the dentist did most of the cleaning (which wasn't the case for my mother-in-law who visited shortly therafter and had the same hygienist). I ended up wet from the water rinse, was not asked about flavors until I brought it up and then was told she was using mint "because that was the flavor most chose and strawberry didn't sound good", had to request to "spit" multiple times as I was not offered suction, and the hygienist adjusted multiple times in her chair as if she wasn't sure what she was doing. Overall it was a very stressful, anxiety-producing experience that I hope to not repeat, especially as someone who is nervous about going to the dentist to begin with.

Experiencia fantástica: I love that there is plenty of parking in front - the staff is super friendly and nice - the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable - the check in process was quick & their waiting room is called the tranquility room (nice) - they offer you a beverage while waiting (the wait time was less than 5min) - everyone is very professional

Experiencia fantástica: I ALWAYS reccomend Tranquility to anyone who is looking for a quality dentist! I work for a school district and it’s amazing to be able to use my dental insurance to get such high quality dental care along with spa treatments. They’ve helped replace my old fillings, get proper night guards for teeth grinding and have later appointment options so I don’t have to impede my work schedule. The staff are always kind and I love being able to watch Netflix while I get high quality care. Can’t reccomend them enough!

Experiencia negativa: My son and I have been with Tranquility for a few years now (Tumwater location). We have 0 complaints. Monday, mybson had an appointment to get four Wisdom teeth extracted. We had to go to The Ruston Way location because itvisnthebonlybplace they had the specialist for what was needed. We forgot the appointment, we asked if he could get nitros to help keep him calm because he hates needeles, which cost extra, but I didn't care. After 90 minutes the surgery was done and was told it went well. My son came out of the room and I noticed he still had blood all over his and all he had was a piece of paper in his hand.We paid and left. Not thinking at the time I picked him up, instatred asking questions. Inasked if they gave him the nitros and he said "no" I asked id he was given anything for the after care and he said "no". Not realizing that ge didn't have gauze in his mouth, he at one point had a water fall of blood come out of his mouth. I know that bloos is normal after surgery, but this was way to much to be. Normal. I stopped at the store and bought some gauze once I realized he had none in his mouth and he didn't know because he was so numb. I called Ruston Way office to tell them what was going on and told them I was not going back for them to look at him and decided to go to our office in Tumwater. Let the Tumwater office know everything that had happened. They took very good care of him. They cleaned up his face cleaned up his mouth added medicine and gauze cave hime a to go bag for the after care and went over the dues and dont's. Long story short. We will not be going back to the Ruston Way location, because they have lost our trust. Just .ake sure when you pay for extra make sure you get it.

Experiencia negativa: Please read the reviews. Negative reviews are probably be actual patients not generated. You will see a different person each time and they will not explain things well. I am currently waiting to have the work the due redone at a different dentist. I have tolerated this office for a few years now due to its location to my house. This is a franchise office who is trying to push people through without giving them the time needed. They fail to answer questions. They fail to work within their timelines. Today they canceled my appointment and changed their story on why. And they billed my insurance before the work was completed. Keep looking for a different dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: I love Tranquility! This is a luxury dental experience. The team is amazing, they treat you like royalty, and they do a great job. I didn’t think this was possible, but the Tranquillity team makes going to the dentist a great experience.

Experiencia positiva: Everything was great. Just a couple of things on the receptionist. First time here, well when you walk in there are two chairs, leaves ya wondering only to find out the actual waiting room is after the receptionist. Also never knew the treatments were included in a visit until I was leaving and heard it mentioned. Both things the receptionist should let a first comer know. Pretty easy to go “ I see it’s your first visit. Full lobby is over there, check out what we offer here as complimentary, also the phone signal here is terrible would you like our wifi? “ that would have made it five stars for me. Otherwise everything else was great.

Experiencia negativa: Completely unprofessional and unacceptable handling of patient communication. I recently moved to the area and was actually quite excited to go to my appointment because I had wanted to find a dental spa for a while. Upon arrival, I was told that I will get an exam but not a dental cleaning because of some scheduling changes, even though I had verified that I booked an exam + cleaning. Given that I did my part of filling out all the intake forms ahead of time and did all the verifications needed to book the appointment, they didn't even have the decency to text or call me to notify me of the change. I went out of my way and drove 30 minutes to this clinic for their services but had to refuse them because they really disrespected my time. Based on recent Google reviews, sounds like this dental clinic is spiraling downwards quickly anyway.

Experiencia fantástica: This was a wonderful first (of many) visit! Everything was spectacular; the waiting room the boujee, the staff and dentist were top tier! Only bad thing was that I have some cavities and craters in my teeth that need filled, but that's not their fault ;) I'll be back in a month to get those filled in and I look forward to coming back for my cleanings! 10/10

Experiencia negativa: I have been going here for the last four years and have had 4-5 star experiences except for my most recent visit. The week before I was supposed to come in I got a call to reschedule bc the hours had changed and they were no longer open at my scheduled time. Fair enough. The day before my appointment I got another call asking if I could come in an hour earlier. I couldn’t and I was told that was fine. I came in for my appointment and am usually offered items from the comfort menu (massage, tv, etc.). There was no mention of it. A dentist who I have not seen before cleaned my teeth. His bedside manner was nonexistent (I mention this bc the hygienists and dentists I usually see are above and beyond). He accused me of brushing aggressively and asked if I had pain. I said I had some sensitivity and as I am pregnant my gums have been more prone to bleeding. He said it wasn’t that. So I asked if it was different from my previous visits and he said he’d have to check. He never followed up with me to clarify. The hygienist then did a fluoride treatment and I was sent on my way with the towel still chained around my neck. By the time I checked out and looked at my phone, a whopping 18 minutes had gone by (including a few minutes sitting in the lobby). My teeth do not feel clean. In speaking with the receptionist, it is not a new practice for the dentist to clean - they just didn’t have someone on hand to do so. Why on earth was my appointment honored if there wasn’t someone there to do the job?? I only come in twice a year to get my teeth cleaned so this was a real bummer. I also enjoyed coming to this practice bc of the ambiance and comfort menu - so to have all of that missing this time around sucked. I hope this visit is not indicative of the future.

Experiencia fantástica: The receptions are friendly and welcoming in-person and over the phone. The dental hygienists that have assisted with my care have been knowledgeable and kind. The dentist who has been working with me, Dr. James, is great. He really seems to care. He listens to my concerns, explains his plans in detail, and is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend this crew for your dental needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to tranquility dental at point Ruston for quite a few years and up until today my care has been standard with of course the added bonus of the tranquility comfort menu perks. The comfort menu is absolutely necessary for those who loathe the dentist. I have been one of those people for many years. Today exceeded my expectations due to the great care I received. What made today so good was the gentle and kind Madison as my dental hygienist. She made small adjustments like changing water temp and positioning tools to accommodate a comfortable experience. To add, she was very thorough with my cleaning while simultaneously training another helper in the office. I was very impressed with her calm nature and the flow of her work. The dentist with her today (Dr. C?) was also incredibly friendly and attentive. I appreciated the time they both spent with me. It is easy to rush people though appointments but neither of them made me feel rushed or unimportant. I was very impressed with my experience and hope that more people can experience this exceptional dental care.

Experiencia negativa: Nice location. I was 11 minutes late for my appointment and could not be seen. Definitely my fault and I own that. But what set me off was the receptionist. She was curt. Did not smile once. She offered to reschedule my appointment for 7 am but that won’t work. I guess for a business that seems to target a certain audience and that I am sure charges extra I expected a better front desk experience. In the end, I am consumer. I will take my business elsewhere and I will not recommend this office all because of a bad front desk experience. I had high hopes. I m giving it 2 stars since the please looked really nice and the scheduling experience was easy.

Experiencia positiva: This is my dental clinic but unfortunately the constant changing with their staffing has negative impact. I have a new hygienist and she has some heavy hands. During procedure; scaling on pockets - she is not very tender as if the instrument isn’t sharp that you actually feel the little poke when she’s doing her numberings , and then when she polished - she rubs that rubber tip into your gum lines, and the last would be when she flossed my teeth- she goes harder deep in each tooth in between . I’m not sure how exactly hygienist do their job but it is very uncomfortable.

Experiencia fantástica: Cannot say enough good things about this office! I originally picked it for its location but I have coming for 3 years now and every experience has been great! I recently had a baby and they worked around my schedule to get my cleaning. When my husband wasn’t available, I was able to bring my 3 month old to my appointment and hold her when she was having a hard time. The staff really went above and beyond to help out this new mom.
