Experiencia negativa: After using up all of the dental insurance eligibility & paying $2000 out of pocket, I have regular pain from poorly installed denture & 2 crowns after only 6 months! At my age I expect dental work to last a lifetime. The office is a circus with 2 or 3 technicians coming in & out. I was there over 2 hours & given a temporary that was a joke. I had to take it out to eat. Now they want me to come back for a 6 month cleaning. Clearly, they don't care about reviews, since BBB gives them 2.5 stars.

The front desk is very helpful in explaining treatment and fees. However there is always a way to have you spend for unnecessary reasons. Would always be mindful of fees.

Experiencia negativa: I went in for a total deep cleaning and for 2 crowns. While the work was satisfactory, though the technicians seemed very rough, the issue came with billing. They had me sign multiple papers and I told them up front that when I pay for whatever co-pay is needed I do NOT want to receive any additional bills. I received an additional bill, went to the office and spoke to who I was told was the office manager, he would do absolutely nothing about the bill, no offer to split simply said, that's not going to happen. I advised I have an upcoming appointment for a filling and a crown and I would cancel if they did not assist in some way. He said nothing, I paid and left saying they just lost a customer. He did not care. There are dentists on every corner here in So FL, no need to frequent one that uses shady tactic to get more money from a patient. Not sure if all their offices (they are a chain) are similar but be warned about this one.

I needed a root canal and they made the process go very smoothly. Irelis is really kind and created a comforting environment. Ann Marie is very nice and they did a great job during another dental appointment I had. Everyone I met at Sage Dental has been very thoughtful, kind, and did a wonderful job!

Experiencia negativa: If you like having the first appointment of the day, waiting 30 minutes, asking the very nice receptionist and office manager what the delay is for, being told they are cleaning the room, asking AGAIN 15 minutes later what is going on and having the ACTUAL DENTIST BE RUDE AND VISIBLY UPSET that a patient is questioning why they are waiting 45 minutes for the first appointment of the day, then this place is for you. The incredibly kind office manager had to almost physically restrain the dentist because her ego couldn’t handle a patient question why there was such a long wait for the first appointment of the day. It was truly surreal. Being the first time slot of the day was easy to see that nobody had left during the 45 minute wait, yet they claimed to be cleaning the room for 15 mins? Maybe they didn’t clean the night before… who knows. 0 stars for dentist but a hundred stars for the other staff who did everything they could to calm the dentist.

They are sales people with mission on making extra money over what you want or need, and if they don't get their way, if they can't charge you extra, they'll cancel saying it's doctor's orders. There are other dentists in the area that don't behave this way, but many S. FL dentists do practice this business model. Expect extra costs at Sage

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first appointment today to see a dentist prior to obtaining an appointment with oral surgeon. My only concern was enlarged tori, which is painful and difficult to eat. I met with Vonnie, a medical assistant and told her my issue and would very much like to expedite seeing Dr. Segui, an oral surgeon. Vonnie was able to arrange for me to see Dr. Segui at this appointment as he had a consultation appointment open. I also have two dental insurances and the office will followup with both insurances to verify which would be better for my oral surgery. I was very thankful for their above and beyond support. I would highly recommend this office. I met with Dr. Segui and am looking forward to my next appointment.

Experiencia negativa: My god Most aggressive blood bath I’ve ever had to get my teeth cleaned…. I felt like the technician was in a rush to get out of work and tore me up in the process… I told her I feel like I’m going to be needing an antibiotic I’ve never bled so much during a teeth cleaning? This was the worst experience If I were a child I would never have another cleaning for fear The last time I went there… I took Work off to get my teeth cleaned and made an appointment with Sage Dental… Their call center made an appointment for me at 4 PM because I needed the last appointment of the day… I had to take Work off in order to go get my teeth cleaned. The staff was nice enough, however, they informed me after being nice… That because this was the last appointment of the day I would not be getting my teeth cleaned. I could only see the doctor and have x-rays?? Why on earth would they sent me with an appointment for the end of the day if I can’t get my teeth cleaned and I had to take Wirk off for this! I’m losing out on hundreds of dollars in a day! This is BS! They should have informed me so I wouldn’t take time off of work

After a little confusion with my appointment she made sure I was taken care of properly. Dr. Michael Newman did my root canal quickly and painlessly!!! My kind of guy! Shawna was his right hand making sure everything ran smoothly! I left with a smile (although numb and crooked) on my face!! If you need root canal therapy this is the team to see! As a retired dental hygienist I can assure you my dental treatment was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them!!!

Experiencia negativa: I have been coming here and seeing Dr. Romero and all her wonderful hygienists for 10 years. Today will be my last day ever coming to this office. Not one person I recognized this morning. Today as I am transitioning to a new insurance was a cash pay patient. I was told last week for a cleaning after looking at my chart was gonna be $185-$210 for a cleaning. I come today after my cleaning the total was $247 with $97 discount with the Sage premier plan which I do not need. Went to the front to check out. The lady at the front desk looked at my chart and starting typing. Then presented to me a bill of $347 with the sage plan. I said I was told something different, matter of fact that is not what I signed in the back. She showed me my signature. Then the office manager told me it was gonna be $600 for a cleaning. I did not even see the dentist and very basic cleaning. I would never pay that amount out of pocket or even agree. I would just cancel the appointment. Beware that they will switch and bait and change your treatment plan costs at check out. I was gonna talk to Dr. Romero but it’s a new doctor as well. Seems like the entire staff left to go with Dr. Romero.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Michael Newman is a great endodontist. i’ve gotten a lot of work done, but I had to get some of it taken back off because I needed a root canal. He fit me in same day. I did a lot of research. I chose him and I’m glad I did. He’s so caring and so sweet literally the best root canal I’ve ever gotten, and I’ve had a lot. He’s the man. and Shawna, who assisted him was great with me today as well.

Dr Newman and Shawna his assistant were exceptional in completing my root canal in a timely and efficient manner. They kept me informed and comfortable and I had zero pain during the procedure . Dr Denis did my temporary crown the following day with no complications. She was informative and helped ease my anxiety. Overall my experience was the best it could have been. I will continue to use their services in the future and recommend them to others.

Experiencia negativa: Do not get your wisdom teeth removed here, or for any Sage Dental for that matter. Last month, I got my wisdom teeth removed. After the surgery, they never made myself or the people taking care of me aware that they have prescribed me medicine. Because of that, after the anesthesia was wearing off, I was in constant pain and only had over the counter ibuprofen instead of the antibiotics and pain killers I was supposed to be taking. They never even gave me a syringe to precisely clean the area. The next day, our pharmacy had to call us to let us know there was a prescription ready for me. They never called to schedule a follow up appointment to make sure everything was done correctly. Now almost a month later, I currently have an infection in the area where my wisdom teeth were located. I followed all the post surgery instructions to make sure this wouldn’t happen. I called their “emergency” line just for the lady on the phone to tell me they would be calling me during their normal working hours. Not sure why it’s called an emergency if they are not capable of helping. Today, I never received a phone call from them and when I called the office, I was placed on hold for a long time. Because of the distasteful experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I came in for my root canal today, and Dr. Newman and Shawna were very nice and kind theoughout the procedure. The procedure itself was painless and fairly quick, and I was in and out in about an hour. Even if you don't have insurance, this is the place for you to go!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Tanisha Denis & her staff were superb and efficient! Clean office and short wait time. I went in for pain on a chipped tooth. Dr denis got straight to the problem and resolved it. Unlike other dentists where they want to do a full exam, full X-rays and just find stuff to do and charge you with before getting to the actual problem Dr Denis was quite the opposite. Again got straight to the point, fixed the problem and explained every step of the way while doing the procedure, she was overall very gentle and kind. When she was done she told me whenever I was ready to come back and schedule a cleaning or whatever I needed to just call, no pressure. I absolutely love her and will recommend all my family and friends to her practice. Sage is a big corporation that I try to stay away from because they just want money or to make money, but I’m glad I have her office a chance! Thank you Dr Denis & staff!!

Experiencia positiva: It is a nice enough office but the follow up calls to confirm my appointment borders harassment and I am considering leaving this practice. I received 3 calls 10 minutes apart during the work day when I was in court for my job… on the 4th call I requested that they please stop calling me, that I’d confirmed 2x verbally and 1x via text already. Today is the day of the appointment and they texted me an hour before, I responded to confirm. For whatever reason they also called 15 minutes prior to the appointment. I understand this is a business and they want to make sure people show up but I am a reasonably prudent adult, I pay my dental insurance to my job on a bi-weekly basis, I have never missed, been late to, or no-showed an appointment. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT 1-3 CONFIRMATIONS ON MY END MEANS I WILL BE THERE. 8+ confirmation calls and texts across a 2 week span of time after I confirmed the first time is absurd. I requested after the 3 back to back calls last week for them to STOP calling me, yet 45 minutes after I confirmed over text THEY CALL ME. I attend school full time and have a full time job. Please engage in appropriate client outreach - nothing about this is appropriate.

Experiencia negativa: My issue is not with the care but with the billing department. I have insurance, and I was supposed to pay a discounted amount, which I thought I was paying. Then I received an explanation of my benefits and how much I was supposed to pay and found out that I was charged the full amount in which I had to finance it through carecredit. So I recommend you all check your billing because they don't charge you according to what they are supposed to if you have insurance. I am filling a complaint with the insurance and with better business bureau.

The team is fantastic from the front end staff to the hygienist and doctor. I had the best cleaning experience today- Maidelyn Garcia did an amazing job. Dr. Ingrid Romero is personable a wonderful, experienced doctor. I have had no complaints and trust their expertise. Definitely recommend this office for your dental needs.
