Experiencia fantástica: Well let’s start at the beginning. When I walk through the front door I am greeted by a beautiful welcoming smile from Debbie. I know that my appointment is going to be great. Well not so fast. I am greeted by my hygienist, Aniko who will be cleaning my teeth. She happens to be a Mets fan and I am a lifelong Yankees fan. Need I say more. She had the “upper hand “ being as she would be cleaning my teeth. I did my best to be a great patient and to talk about other things that would make a good conversation. And that did work. I came out of the room with all of my teeth. So in the end it became a wonderful visit Come on and join all of fun with everyone. You won’t be disappointed!!!

If you are looking for a non-corporate dentist that doesn't try to upsell you treatment you don't need, but will refer you to the appropriate specialist if you do need it, then this office is a great choice!

Antibiotics prescribed...refered to have a root canal done. Couldn't ask for any better treatment from Dr Schnur and staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I moved here to Ellenton in 2001. In 2002 I wanted my teeth cleaned and went to another local dentist. There they took exrays and cleaned my teeth. I was told I had 3 cavities and that all my old fillings were cracked and needed to be replaced. The cost was going to be almost $10000. I then went to Dr Schnur. His examination showed one tiny cavity and that everything else looked good. 23 yrs later except for one tooth that cracked last year I've been cavity free. He and his staff are all great!! Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a dental patient of Dr Rick Schnur’s and his amazing team this year (2025) for going on 24 years! We moved to the area in 1997 his practice opened in 2001–we learned about FSD via a close friend and neighbor, at the time living in Parrish Florida. I was in my mid 40’s then and am in my early 70’s now. I had the typical dental needs for my age group and over the years as childhood amalgam fillings failed with age, I had both inlays and a number of crowns. Let’s just say I liked to crunch! Lol!! Though there have been occasional staffing changes, the core team along with Dr Schnur have remained consistent. From the moment I walk in the door til I’m headed out —whether for regular dental cleanings or additional care, the consistent professionalism, warm kindness, compassion, understanding and also good humor, from everyone is just a pure joy! No one likes to ‘go to the dentist’, but I must say that even when I’ve had distressing dental care needs (tooth abscess, cracked tooth, etc) over these many years, Florida Smile Design always feels like family— and help is on the way. I’ve been completely satisfied with ALL care given. When a need has occasionally arisen to be referred for other specialty dental care— endodontics, periodontics, etc., those to whom he referred me have the same core values and skill in patient care and reassurance. I cannot express more strongly, as a now- retired nursing professional myself, how important this is, and to be on the receiving end of consistent quality, professional and compassionate care now in my elder years is all the more precious to me. They explain everything that they’re going to do and make sure you agree with it and understand it. I couldn’t ask for a better group. So if you’re looking for that right dentist, he’s just down the street here in Parrish or considered Ellington I guess Right off of 301, Dr. Schnur. Takes his time to explain things ask questions and you’ll get the answers again he’s just down the street and I couldn’t ask for a bit of dental office.

He was pleasant, funny, and easy going. He fixed a sharp feeling on one tooth and removed the discoloration and ridges from an old composite on my front tooth. They also cleaned my bite guard! Florida Smile Design got me in same day and I wasn’t even an established patient. I’m so grateful for their staff!
