Experiencia fantástica: Had a very bad toothache on vacation at AMI. Went to another dentist here first that tried to take advantage and way over charge for a root canal. Found Smyl Manatee who got me in the next morning and was very reasonable pricing. The Dr does major tooth procedures so felt comfortable with him doing a root canal. The procedure was fairly quick and had immediate reduction in pain. Was able to enjoy the last few days of my vacation Hight recommend for any dental work thanks so much.

Experiencia negativa: Worst dentist ever. I absolutely do not recommend this place if you value your consent as a human being. They will pull teeth that you don’t want pulled, they will ignore a sound treatment plan that THEY provided. When you bring up your concerns about them changing your treatment plan without consent, they belittle you, tell you that you cannot do anything about the change and that they did you a “favor.” Pulling teeth that I did not want removed is not a “favor.” They are rude and do not know what they are doing. I wonder if they even hold a license to practice dentistry. Also, they have no receptionist, only a computer. They have completely o open availability, probably because nobody will see them. Please go to Advanced Dental Care instead. It is off of 1st st. TRUST ME.

Experiencia fantástica: Called around 8am for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction after no oral surgeon could do the work for me without consultation and setting up different visits. I couldn’t wait that long the pain was terrible I live in port Charlotte I drove 1 and 30 minutes because I was told they could pull them same day and I got there at 11am got X-rays and an hour later I was getting my 4 wisdom teeth taken out went fast and smooth no pain just pressure but that’s Normal. They were very fast professional and gentle! Thank you so much I had a great experience! Also pricing was amazing for all 4 teeth being taken out around $2,800

Kept in contact with me very well with texts. I had an appointment right away. Got the work done very efficiently. The staff are all accommodating. The place is really cute inside. I felt very comfortable there made sure and scheduled follow up appointments that were good for me. The end result was fabulous. They did an amazing job. The office manager was great my dental Hygienist Abo. Dental assistant, Janet and Dr. Patel were all great to me. I am glad I went to Manatee County for this procedure.

Upon arriving, the place looks super clean, organized, full of light. I am super anxious and scared of the dentist, so first impressions matter. Yaleini got my scan and X rays done, patiently talked to me, easing my anxiety. She got me all ready and set up for Dr Patel. Dr Patel was also very patient, polite, his beside manners are a huge plus, and he took the time to explain everything to me and even try to understand my fears and tried to ease my mind. This was on a Tuesday. We made a plan together and they scheduled my wisdom theet (2) extraction for a Thursday. Thursday came, I got there on time. Yanet quickly took me inside, explained post care, and the doctor came and quickly got it done. I am in pain because of the procedure, but I am so happy and grateful to all the staff, and Dr Patel, they really made a very painful and scary process easier for me. Don’t hesitate to book your appointment here.

Experiencia negativa: We found Dr Patel a few years ago and were very happy until recently. I needed a bridge, and was very surprised at how much the cost was.. even after questioning, they never mentioned they no longer participate in my insurance plan! yes, It is my responsibility to check - but, typically that is explained. The guy offered a payment plan, but never mentioned WHY it was so high. The calls are close to telemarketer frequency trying to schedule your next visit. Meanwhile, you have to ask numerous times to have your insurance claim filed. I wont be recommending and wont be going back.

I came in today waiting to be seen for a toothache and had to walk out 20 minutes later!!!! while waiting to be seen i heard a male voice talking to a patient and it seemed all he cared about was the money the patient could give him asking about co-signers and if any family could co-sign and said he was not able to work him.!!! I also overheard and saw who I assume to be the dentist talking very rudely and demeaning to his staff and tearing them down!! ALL women by the way!!! If he treats his own staff that way I can’t imagine how little he cares for the patients he works on………The girls seemed very nice and sweet talking to patients tho, even though I was in terrible pain I left and drove to another dental office and got treatment there. this office was by far the worst business I’ve ever stepped foot in so Smyl manatee DO BETTER and treat others how you would want to be treated!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to many dental offices in Lagos, London, San Francisco and here in Florida until I was referred to Smyl Dental by a friend. The welcoming ambience immediately calmed my nerves and after getting checked in, I was ushered in by the lovely Yaleini who conducted the x-rays, ably assisted by another wonderful Dental assistant, she explained the procedures, despite the huge amount I had to pay out of pocket, I was offered a monthly payment plan option. Dr. Nish Patel was wonderful, very professional and he saved me a tooth instead of an extraction. This was the most painless dental procedure I've ever had. Thanks to all the staffs at Smyl Dental, especially Yaleini. I wish I could give 10 stars.

Experiencia negativa: If I could leave no stars I would! I’ve NEVER been treated so poorly by a doctor before in my life. I have Medicaid Dental because I adopted my grandchildren! Yet Dr Patel and his team treated me like I was a piece of white trash! Even if the Medicaid was due to my income. You should never treat a person the way he did me! Because I just want my tooth pulled instead of paying $2100 for a root canal. I guess he thought I was poor! Told me maybe I could get a family member, with good credit, to cosign for a loan to get the root canal. Guess what Dr. Patel, I could have paid for the entire root canal today! I did not want that. I wanted it pulled. But for you to treat someone like that is ridiculous!! Then for you to jam that damn numbing needle in the roof of my mouth without using the numbing gel you did on the outside of my jaw line. That’s just insane!! You purposely did that and it hurt like hell!! I will never step foot in your office again!

Experiencia negativa: SCAM! I asked if they take my insurance, they told me that my insurance covers a free cleaning and a free consultation. I had both of those done and at the end of my Cleaning, They try to tell me that I owe them over $100.. I told them from the start before I even did set my first appointment that I only want to come to this office if they take my insurance in full. They assured me multiple times that I would not have to pay anything. Now they’re calling me multiple times a month harassing me telling me that I owe them money. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! All they did was try to get me to buy fake teeth and buy this and buy this. I felt very pushed and uncomfortable. The ONLY person who was kind was the lady who cleaned my teeth. Otherwise it was the weirdest worst dentist I’ve been to.

Gabi did my cleaning and she was gentle, thorough, and very professional. Yale placed my bridge, and the workmanship was excellent — I’m extremely happy with the result. Janet handled my provisionals and assisted the doctor with my root canal and the extraction of a broken piece of root. She was calm, skilled, and made the whole process much easier. There was also a blonde assistant whose name I don’t remember, but she was always friendly and very helpful during my visits. I really appreciate how everything is explained clearly and how comfortable they make each procedure. I always leave feeling confident in the care I receive. Experiencia fantástica: I just had a great experience at smyl manatee. Everyone was kind and dr patel did an excellent job with my root canal procedure.

Experiencia negativa: I’m ashamed to smile after going in debt $15k my crowns that they gave me don’t even match each other! To top it off the dentist Dr Patel has refused to speak to me about the situation. Instead has just ignored me…so this is my last attempt to get something done. I’m on disability and can’t afford another bill. Let alone the ridiculous one for this terrible smile that is grey, peach, and yellow thanks to Dr Patel…. Then a year later I had face pain and he referred me to an oral surgeon for a tooth he charged me for extracting. The surgeon said that Dr Patel claims he didn’t do the work on my teeth and if he could do a ridiculous procedure that would cause a lot of pain and was invasive. Luckily the surgeon was not the one that Dr Patel had sent me to! Now, three years later, find out that all of the work that was done was done incorrectly, and I have to get it all done correctly, which involves bone grafting, and will be an additional $27k to start!!!! Good luck getting your dental records!!!!

She was very careful and very good at assessing the bridge. After xrays and a physical exam of the tooth, she determined it could be cemented back in place. She had a lot of experience. Experiencia negativa: First was told that it would only be about 600 dollars minus 25% sense we were paying cash. (No insurance) then was told 929 total to be put to sleep and stitched up. That this price already included the 25% off. Never actually got put to sleep and didn't need stitches. Also tried to say it where I wouldn't hear it, so asked do I get money back and they said "no, that's not how it works". Why would I pay for something that wasn't needed or even worked for that matter. Terrible experience. Wanted to be put to sleep because she was scared from another bad dental experience. Now she'll probably never go back to a dentist.

The dentist has been informative and he has done an amazing job. The results so far are fantastic and I have had little discomfort if any through some fairly major and extensive procedures. And he called personally to follow up and leave his cell number after the initial work and sedation. The team is great. Also recently came in for a cleaning and Kim was excellent. It’s illegal to sell an in house insurance while participating taking other insurances. This place is not accredited with the better bureau business go ahead and look it up for yourself. Experiencia positiva: This being the 3rd dentist since moving to FL 7 yrs ago, I finally felt well cared for with this well organized team. They took me in as a new patient quickly to help ease some pain caused by the last dentist. It's hard to find good resources when you relocate and glad I kept searching. An update a year later, mine and my husbands dental plan were dropped with no notice (2 dif plans). The office does a lot of upselling which I've found is typical in my 3 Florida dentist experiences.

Experiencia negativa: It's difficult to even explain how bad this dentist is. Maybe simple dental work he'd be ok. I wouldn't risk it, though. After paying $1400 up front for a mouth guard. They over adjusted it until it didn't fit. Yet, he said he fixed my bite with a guard I couldn't wear. Crazy. Also, I paid up front, and they will not return credit from insurance.

I called 10 days ago and had an appointment the following Monday. The dental hygienist was very thorough, too, all X-rays were professionally done. Then Dr Angel came in for an exam, and was available for an extraction that followed. All prescriptions were taken and filled as ordered. Post op orders were verbal and written. And I’m healing well. She did everything that the hygienist normally does, and was very thorough with the rest of the treatment and the advice that only a dentist could give.

I am not the only patient in my family my whole family goes to him. We don’t live in Bradenton, We travel all the way from Tampa to visit him.

So I decided to visit Smyle Manatee and was thrilled that i did. All the associates were amazing, attentive and supportive. Dr Patel was extremely considerate as to my comfort and wellbeing. Experiencia negativa: I needed to establish with a new office and get a cleaning, this office is by far THE BEST dental office we have been too. From the moment I called for my appointment to the end of my visit, I have never felt so welcomed and comfortable at a dentist office. The staff is polite and very friendly. Explained everything in detail, listened to my concerns and even gave me a welcome bag with a nice mug! Dr Patel and his office are the best and I am so happy to be a patient here! UPDATE: Just left our appointment, tried to charge us $321 … besides deductible and fluoride treatments that were not correct, tried charging for missed appointments OVER 2 years ago… we had been there since this “occurred” and never mentioned. This office tried to pre charge me $4,500 for braces and told my husband that he needed over $800 in dental repairs that conveniently doesn’t even show up on X-rays ! Scam of an office and the dentist is NEVER there … definitely not going back and will find a better dentist…. BEWARE !
