Experiencia fantástica: I honestly never leave reviews, but I had to make an exception because that's how amazing my experience was with Celi. Celi is absolutely incredible! kind, caring, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything she was doing, answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment. You can truly tell that she cares about her patients and takes pride in providing exceptional care. It's rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such genuine compassion. She made what is usually a stressful dental visit a very positive experience. If you're looking for a dental hygienist who is thorough, gentle, and truly goes above and beyond, I cannot recommend her enough. She is an absolute gem, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

Experiencia negativa: I cannot recommend this place. The staff are fine but their business practices feel like a scam. For example, I scheduled an initial appointment and they simply took X-rays and gave me a treatment plan. They charged me $200 for this. They then wanted me to schedule a cleaning and a separate appointment with the dentist. They cancelled on me 3x. Once was due to an emergency, which happens. The second and third time were due to holidays, which they did not bother to check in their calendar when they scheduled me. If I continued through with this, I likely would have been out $350-$500 before even getting to the dentist portion. Contrast this with another dentist in the area--I was able to schedule online and got in within 2 weeks. There was no cancellation. For $79, I got a cleaning, X-rays, and a treatment plan. PearlFection feels like a private equity-owned scam in comparison to this. I recommend you seek treatment elsewhere.

But once I learned I would have to select another dentist, there was no way. I am very happy to stay with PearlFection for my dental care.

Experiencia negativa: I have a lung condition and the lack of communication between pearlfection and the sedation department is ridiculous. One phone call they will treat me the next they won't. Ive been in in person twice and told they would treat me. After setting up my appt, they called to say they need toa reschedule it and tried to get me to come in same day instead. I wasn't able to and was told they weren't able to reschedule me and someone would call me the next day. After several days of me leaving messages I get a hold of someone and now after months of emails, phonecalls, clearance appointments, forward medical history etc they have changed their mind again. I can understand if they aren't able to treat me but the way it was handled is unacceptable

Experiencia negativa: This place is really a scam. I went to them over a year ago for a regular check up and cleaning. I had 2 good ( care first PPO and Cigna) dental insurances. They accepted both. No change for check up and cleaning. Now they are sending me invoices of $305 I owe for that cleaning and they are threatening me to use third party companies to deal with that bill. I never had any issues with any other dentist offices before.

Experiencia negativa: I came here because of the amazing reviews and because the website said they were preferred provider of Delta Dental. Had my initial appt and all was great. Fast forward a few weeks later I get a huge bill. I called Delta Dental who told me this practice is not a preferred provider and they’re not even in network!! I try to call Pearlfection to speak with the office manager and they keep dodging me. I was told by Delta Dental that I had been scammed and lied to. At this point, I have made claims with better business bureau, delta dental, and my credit card company. Pearlfection refused to speak with all entities. It’s now August and my appointment was back in May and I’m still awaiting a response from the office manager.

Dr. Lawsen saw me for my first visit and I found him to be highly personable, professional, and engaged. The dental tech, Will, was friendly efficiently handled my initial x-rays. I really enjoyed the fact that this practice has new imagery technology, making the whole process easy and painless. The receptionist was highly entertaining and competent, taking care of getting me in process as a new patient smoothly and efficiently. In fact, this was the easiest I’ve ever experienced in any medical practice ever. Furthermore, after my initial visit, they fit me in to the schedule that day for a cleaning so I wouldn’t need to come back. My dental hygienist Jen was very gentle and thorough. In short, from The initial paperwork to the entire visit, this was a highly streamlined and positive experience, and I recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist.

I didn’t need to worry; Roxane at the front desk was friendly and answered all of my questions patiently and professionally, the assistant Nicole was exceptional and Dr. Lawson was kind, patient and professional. Nicole really listened to my concerns, relayed them to Dr. Lawson and he took them into consideration when forming my treatment plan. I cannot say enough great things about this practice and I am so grateful to finally find a dentist that understands dental anxiety. Would highly recommend Dr. Lawson. Side note, the hygienist Jenny, was fantastic. She did a measurement to assess my cleaning needs and was gentle, patient and nice. I immediately scheduled my recommended cleaning with her.

Now waiting 2-months for an appointment to see my specialist to have it rebuilt or made again from scratch. Huge impact on quality of life; no night guard means my TMJ gets significantly worse. Dentist was robotic; didn't even introduce herself. Zero stars. Do not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to PearlFection Urbana for 4 years. In that time, thankfully, I only needed cleanings, until recently. I was impressed with the skill, professionalism, and friendliness Shabby provided for my cleanings so I continue to book with her. Recently I needed caps put on 2 broken teeth. Dr. Badakhshan was concerned, gentle, kind, and skillful. She and her assistant Taree have earned the nickname "the dynamic duo" by me. They work so well together! A different tooth needed cap years ago that was put on but a different dentist. The difference of fit of the cap and dentistry skill was night and day. Molly at the front desk is so pleasant and efficient as well. And the place is immaculate! I highly recommend Shabby, Dr. B, Taree, Molly, and PearlFection Urbana.

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment with the office in Urbana for Tuesday at 10am I just got the message from my phone I did not confirm the appointment, I called back to let them know i won't be able to make the appointment I was told that I won't be allowed to schedule another appointment with them until I pay a no show cancellation fee even though I called to cancel as I can't be driving due to health issue that has came up and i'm waiting to hear from my Doctor and should not be driving as i have blackouts. well now I remember the reason I stopped coming to this office because Our daughter was expecting a baby and they also scheduled her to come in knowing she was 7 months pregnant and they charged her $150 office visit and told her that she can't be seen until after the baby is born which she told them before scheduling the appointment and when they seen her in person you could clearly see she was 7 months pregnant. they are so unprofessional I would highly recommend not going to this dentist.

Great atmosphere and the staff is absolutely amazing. I drive from Manassas, VA to Urbana, MD (1 hour, 15 min). Jenna was great with reminding me of my appointment and also accommodating with helping me find a date suitable for my returning visit. I had my teeth cleaned by Mikayla. She did such an outstanding job, I left there feeling 10 pounds lighter! Who needs the gym??!! Lastly I was seen by Dr. Lawson. Let me just say, all of the reviews about him are absolutely correct. He’s kind, he’s gentle and he makes you feel less anxious about going to the dentist. Pearlfection is not your typical dental practice. I walked in knowing I was going to see the dentist. I left out feeling as if I’d gone to visit family.

I have really bad dental anxiety and I was explaining that to her and she was very understanding. She comforted me a lot before and during the procedure. She definitely lives up to her name, she’s warm and bright. Her presence was very comforting to me. Her and Dr. Lawson were very patient with me and made sure I was comfortable the entire procedure. For someone with severe dental anxiety, I’m glad I got people that were so patient and understanding to work on me. They definitely made sure I was as comfortable as I could be and worked as quickly as they could while still doing a great job, I’m very appreciative. Afterwards, Jenna checked me out quickly. My experience was very efficient!

Experiencia positiva: Recently moved to this location so scheduled my visit with them. Though service and people are really good, could be even more organized. They create too much of discomfort to have their schedules more comfortable. They made me to visit 4 times for the visit, cleaning and whitening which normally is possible with one visit or at least 2. It’s not always easier to take time off which is unnecessary. Also they keep calling us to reschedule, this happened on all my visits and for my family members too. Plus they overcharged for cleaning as well. Most probably I will look for another provider nearby to my home.

My appointment was a challenging one in terms of the work I needed done on one tooth and this team rose to the occasion. Experiencia negativa: I am not a person who slams small businesses with fake reviews. My minor children were overcharged at this practice, the dentist took 8 days to respond to my request for an explanation regarding the proposed procedures, and when we went somewhere else, we were told that the proposed procedures were not needed. And clearly, this practice does not welcome feedback, I communicated with them about this, they did nothing about it. I thought it would be important for other parents to know about my experience. The response from the owner notes that I lack integrity and decency, wow.

She also said there was a cancellation, so it was nice to get an opportunity to get the permanent crown put in. Lita, who made my temporary good enough to be a permanent, and Dr. Lawson did an excellent job putting in my new crown. Nice fit, virtually pain free. Didn't even have to numb the gums. I appreciate the time Lita took to explain my options according to Dr. Pashai's recommendations. Lita also demonstrated what the crown process entails. The office is clean and equipment is new. You can tell the staff is serious about keeping everyone safe during the pandemic.

Dr. Pashai is extremely knowledgeable, calming, and has a gift for making things that should be painful painless! The entire team at PearlFection Dentistry is A1! Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Lawson is professional and friendly. He answers all questions during any procedure with easy to understand explanations. He is thorough and competent. He made even a long process as easy as it could be. Would highly recommend seeing him either at the Frederick or Urbana locations. Both locations are beautiful and clean inside. I wish every company was handling the Covid situation as well as Pearlfection is. They minimize your time in the waiting area, someone greets you at the door to take your temperature and give you a squirt of hand sanitizer. Latia the hygienist is pleasant and kind. She met me at the front to walk me back and took me up to the front for a hand off to the receptionist at the end. She is kind when there was any discomfort or something that made me uneasy. Excellent dentist group. 10/10.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the temporary crown put on with Dr. Pashai and Lita. They were both wonderful. I had anxiety going in for the procedure and very low tolerance for pain/discomfort. Right from the start, Dr. Pashai and Lita made me feel at ease. They patiently worked with me until I was completely comfortable and checked in with me to ensure that I continued to be at ease through the procedure. Dr. Pashai talked me through everything that the procedure entailed, without being too technical or winded. She is easy to talk with and knowledgeable. Lita has incredible “bedside manner” being extremely personable and easy to talk to. It never seemed fake and her dental skills are great. I plan on going back to Dr. Pashai and Lita for my future dental work!

Experiencia fantástica: Outside of a routine cleaning, I never liked the dentist because my childhood dentist was very old school and technologically behind the times. Visiting him was a dreadful experience. However, I have been seeing Dr. Lawson for about 3-4 yrs now & he allowed me to express my worries. He & Ms. Lita listened and took extremely great care of me. They are a Dynamic Duo & AWESOME at what they do!!! I just wish I had them around when I was younger. Thank you both!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Lawson is very professional and technically savvy. I have cavity at the back side of the last tooth bottom right. I had other dentists noticed the cavity before but try to avoid doing that because of its awkward position. Dr. Lawson didn’t. He was very patient but confident throughout the procedure. He answered my question thoroughly. I highly recommend him. His assistant Lita was also very helpful and patient with me throughout the whole process. She also called the 2nd day to follow up and see how I feel. Also the young lady at the front desk was so nice, helpful and patient. I really liked her and the whole team.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Lawson was amazing! Very polite with excellent bedside manners. He is actually attentive and does not make you feel you are just another ‘number’ coming through. He listens and takes time to answer your questions. Very pleasant guy. Lita, his assistant, was just as polite. Taking my kids there next week!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a tooth prepared for a crown by Dr. Lawson and a temporary crown casted by Lita. The appointment was quick and painless, and the dentist made an effort to communicate with me before, during, and after the procedure. The day after I accidentally cracked my temporary crown on hard food; Pearlfection quickly scheduled an appointment to have it replaced. Lita replaced the crown and I was in-and-out the door in no time at all.

She was having a lot of trouble with a cracked tooth and they both made her feel relaxed and took their time to explain what needed to be done and answered all of our questions. There is a lot that can be accomplished with a little humor and a really caring bedside manner for a patient who is suffering. Great job!

Dr. Lawson and Lita made sure I was comfortable, kept me informed the whole time, and made an unpleasant situation more enjoyable. I wouldn’t trust anyone else.
