Experiencia negativa: I don't even know where to begin. I have had so many HORRIBLE experiences at this office. I was scheduled to have my wisdom teeth extracted so I called out of work for the day of and after. I arrive and they let me know they tried contacting me to let me know the Dr could no longer do it. They were upset that I ignored them and I should have replied. I ask them to please show me the number they tried contacting me and it was completely wrong and they did not apologize. Mind you, they have contacted me plenty of times before at the right phone number. After my rescheduled surgery was finished and I was now conscious, I asked the student (he looked very young), who was the only person left in the operating room if I could have my teeth they extracted. He told me no and to stop talking. (I never got my teeth) I asked for a permanent retainer since my teeth have never responded well to the plastic retainers and the Dr said no, so my teeth have shifted. Thousands in orthodontia now wasted. I expressed interest in having Invisalign (since my teeth moved) but they would always conveniently ignore me until after the special was over. The specialist would never reach out when I would leave my phone number. The front desk guy (who is very sassy) actually denied me of getting the Invisalign even though a Dr, my coordinator, and the Invisalign specialist informed me I would be able to start paying for Invisalign to take advantage of the sale since I was needing treatments prior. But no, the sassy receptionist apparently knows more than them. Since they do not always answer their phone, I text the office with questions. Again back to the sassy receptionist, he will ignore me if he is in the wrong and I will never get a text back. Most recently, the office contacted me informing of another Invisalign special. I call the office for more info a few days later and they inform me the sale actually ended less than 24hrs of when that text from the office was sent. I thought it was odd they would give me such little notice but they told me they were already so courteous to text me and let me know, since apparently they sent a mass email prior. I look at my emails and I have never received an email from them. I inform them I am not on the email list and once again they ignore me. There was only one kind staff member I felt comfortable around at each visit and of course she was fired. It's like they want you to feel terrible since all the staff are terrible. I guess it's true misery loves company and and that company lives in Total Dental Care.

Experiencia fantástica: I first met Dr.Sreeni and Dr. Narendra in 2021 at Total Dental Care in Germantown, MD. My sincere thanks to the doctors for providing me with an amazing smile and restoring confidence as I am now able to eat well with my implants. I would highly recommend this practice.

Experiencia positiva: I was really hoping to have a positive experience as a new patient at Total Dental, but my visit left me feeling incredibly disheartened due to how the financial and dismissal aspects of the appointment were handled. The Positives I want to highlight that the dental assistant and hygienist were incredibly nice, pleasant, and welcoming. Additionally, the dentist was informative; she thoroughly explained the current state of my teeth and the medical reasoning behind the treatment plan and additional diagnostic X-rays she requested. The clinical staff themselves seem great. The Challenges Unfortunately, my experience shifted once financial constraints became the focus: Pre-Appointment Communication: Just prior to my appointment, I received a text stating I would owe $119 out of pocket for a specific X-ray because my insurance wouldn't cover it yet. I attempted to rectify this by having my previous office transfer recent X-rays, but they did not send the exact files needed. Lack of Empathy Regarding Budget: As a patient on a strict budget who relies on public transit, I simply did not have the unexpected $119. When I explained this to the doctor, her demeanor shifted, and she seemed frustrated with me. Aggressive Sales Tactics: A member of the billing staff came in to discuss treatment plans and payment options. I felt she utilized aggressive sales tactics, heavily emphasizing how bad my teeth were and pushing me to if I could just come up with the money for the X-ray. This felt manipulative rather than helpful, and it significantly impacted my self-esteem. Abrupt Conclusion and Lack of Cleaning: After I firmly stated that I did not have the funds, I was asked to sign an acknowledgment of the treatment plan. I was told someone would be by to dismiss me. I sat alone in the room for over 15 minutes. No one ever returned, and the doctor never came back to wrap up the visit. I eventually had to seek out a staff member just to ask if I was allowed to leave. Furthermore, I left without receiving a standard cleaning because a deep cleaning was recommended instead, which felt like a missed opportunity for preventative care. Maybe a standard cleaning is pointless in my case I don't know.

My initial consult with dr Alexander was very informative to me about my dental issues and she explained and arranged the procedures I needed. I am very happy with the results of her services. I also had procedures provided by Dr Nolet and very satisfied with the results. Everyone there are supper friendly and made me feel comfortable during all my procedures. I have and will continue to highly recommend this facility.

It's been a long journey, a little over a year. I had a tooth extraction and then an implant and crown. So glad the journey is complete, with a very good outcome. All staff are friendly, compassionate and they see you. They remember you!!! I would recommend my friends and family to Dr. Sreeni and Total Dental Care.

Experiencia negativa: Be very careful if you're expecting insurance rates at this place! The dental care is good, but their prices are not based on insurance rates. I went in for a broken tooth and although they took care of that, I also ended up with oral surgery for deep cleaning of my gums. They are listed as accepting insurance but required payment upfront for their services. When I received the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from my insurance company, I learned they had overcharged me. I spoke with their office manager who assured me they would "look into it", but they never got back with me. I then gave them a letter expressing my concerns along with a copy of the EOB; no response. A few weeks later I received a phone call about scheduling an appointment for a teeth cleaning. I replied that I would no longer be getting dental care there unless they resolved the financial issues. It has been radio silence since then and I don't plan to return.

Experiencia negativa: I went back to Total Dental Care earlier this year (March/April) after being away for about a year and a half due to personal matters. After x-rays, I was told I needed a root canal redone and that I supposedly had periodontal disease requiring deep cleanings. They immediately sat me down to go over a treatment plan that cost around $10,000–$11,000. The way it was presented felt extremely pushy and sales-driven. I was pressured to make a decision on the spot and told that if I didn’t proceed right away, my teeth could “start falling out.” I work in sales myself, and the tactics used were very high-pressure and left me feeling uncomfortable. I asked for a copy of the plan and got a second opinion from a periodontal specialist and an endodontist in Rockville (with excellent reviews). They did a 3D scan at no charge and confirmed that I do not have periodontal disease. What I actually needed was a root canal retreatment (which I already had done successfully) and a deep cleaning, plus a crown. Altogether, that came to about $4,500 total—less than half of what Total Dental Care was trying to charge me. To me, this shows they were overdiagnosing and upselling unnecessary procedures. I also received follow-up calls from their office pushing me to schedule treatments even after I declined. I strongly recommend anyone considering this office to get a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment plan here. Based on my experience, I cannot trust their recommendations and will not be returning.

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE – Fraudulent Practices and Unprofessional Staff My family and I had been patients of Total Dental Care for over five years. Unfortunately, the level of professionalism and integrity at this office has declined dramatically in the past year and a half. Most recently, I discovered that they forged my signature on a contract I never signed. I began Invisalign treatment with them in 2024. From the beginning, their billing department was disorganized and unhelpful. I had to make multiple trips to the office just to receive a corrected contract that reflected the agreed-upon cost. I eventually signed the correct version and kept a copy for my records. Fast forward to early 2025—after I had finished paying off my Invisalign—I noticed an additional, unauthorized charge to my account. I contacted the office immediately but was given the runaround for 5 days. This should have been clarified and resolved in one phone call. Dealing with their joke of administrative, billing, etc. staff is a nightmare. When I finally spoke with the office manager, she told me their records showed a different contract with higher payment terms. I requested a copy, and to my shock, the document she sent had a forged version of my signature, printed name, and date. I immediately went to the office to address this in person. When I presented the original, accurate contract that I had signed, the office manager had no explanation. She admitted that the forged version was the only one in their system. Despite this, no one from the office took responsibility or offered a resolution until I threatened with legal action. No apology, no ownership, no follow-up from Dr. Narendra or the ownership. This is not just a billing error—it’s fraud. Aside from this major issue, the office frequently cancels appointments with minimal notice and falsely claims to have contacted patients. Patients deserve to be treated with honesty and respect. I strongly encourage anyone who has done business with this office to review their documentation carefully. If they did this to me, I can’t help but wonder how many other records they’ve tampered with. Avoid this office at all costs.

I walked into my first appointment fully expecting to have to schedule a surgery because that’s what I’ve been told I needed before. However Dr. Narendra told me Invisalign could be an option and I’m so glad we did it. I am absolutely FLOORED by the results. The process was easy and Dr. Narendra explained everything so well and might have been just as, if not more invested in my teeth than me. It was very sweet to come in and not just be excited yourself but have your dentist just as excited as you are throughout the entire process. I moved halfway through treatment but made the drive back to finish because I really could not imagine the process with any other dentist. She is amazing at what she does. Everyone in the office really cares about their patients and it is apparent. Also Ashley top tier hygienist. You all have really set the bar high, probably ruined all future dentists offices for me.

Experiencia fantástica: Mary Alexander is the best! Years ago my dentist recommended another periodontist and it was a dreadful experience to say the least. I then booked an appointment with my husband’s periodontist, Mary Alexander. That was about 20 years ago and several surgeries ago. I have been 120% satisfied with the care and thoughtfulness Mary has given me. My surgeries were difficult but necessary and with Mary’s expertise successful!! I drive over an hour to see Dr. Alexander but I would not see anyone else. She is amazing!!!

Experiencia negativa: This place is SHADY!! I was told that I needed to get deep cleanings every three months as a new patient. I decided I did not want to do the service and cancelled the appointment a day later and was told I will not be charged. I went to get a second opinion and was told deep cleanings were not needed. A little over a week and a half later, I received a text message for an appointment I DID NOT make for the following month. I called again to let them know to cancel the appointment immediately! I am currently waiting for confirmation that the appointment was cancelled and to dispute the fraudulent charge on my credit card for services I did not receive. This is unacceptable!!

I always have a positive experience with Ashley for my cleanings and with Ady for my Invisalign check-ins. Experiencia fantástica: Dr Srinivas is an absolute gem of a Dental Surgeon. He carried out a complex impacted tooth extraction and I had minimal post surgery bleeding and my gums healed perfectly well within a week. I highly recommend him and the dental practice.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience with my latest visit for getting my filling done. Dr. Bhavana Mistry and Yanira Gonzalez made sure I was comforrable and explained the procedure in detail. I was done in no time and back to my day. I have been coming Total Dental for the last few years and my experience has been great. Dr. Narendra and her staff is always very professional and take great care of the patients.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in to have four wisdom teeth removed. Due to a side issue I had to continue to return for six months. Dr. Sreeni and his team were patient and worked with me until my issue was completely resolved. Him and his team are kind and professional.

Experiencia fantástica: I am very satisfied with the care I have been receiving from Dr. Narendra with my implants, she explains every steps making me feel comfortable with my implants. I also appreciate Drs. Alexander & Screni care in this process. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Response to Total Dental Care: Thank you for your response. While I appreciate the acknowledgment, I must respectfully clarify the facts of my situation. I was assigned to the practice through VA Community Care and had my first appointment on March 23, 2022. At that time, the VA had already extracted the tooth in question, and I came to your office specifically for implant and crown restoration. It is now May 2025, and I am still waiting for that care to be completed. A delay of over 3 years—regardless of VA processing timelines—is not acceptable by any standard of care. In addition to the VA's own delays, much of the lost time has been due to avoidable administrative errors within your practice. After my initial consult, no one followed up with me for more than a year, and I was later told my file had been misplaced. Then, when the treatment plan was finally submitted, it was sent to the wrong VA office (DC instead of West Virginia, where I am actually assigned), costing several more months. Throughout this process, I’ve repeatedly asked for updates and support, but I’m often met with general deflections. If the VA is slow to process paperwork, isn’t it the responsibility of the dental provider actively managing the case to follow up and push for progress? I was told I’d be cc’ed or notified when documents were submitted to the VA, yet I rarely received confirmation, leaving me unsure of what was actually sent or when. I am a patient person, and I truly want to believe people are doing their best. But after three years without closure, it’s difficult to accept this as anything other than a failure in coordination and advocacy for the patient. I sincerely hope other veterans do not have to go through the same experience. Also, I've recently have had another tooth extracted (April 2025) on the opposite side of my mouth and with no optimal area now to chew food it is really causing a negative impact in my quality of life. Original Review: Veterans, avoid this dental office if you're using VA Community Care. From day one, I've experienced nothing but poor service from Total Dental Care’s administration. They lost my file after my first consult, which caused a 1.5-year delay on my treatment. My implant process has dragged on nearly 2 years due to paperwork being sent to the wrong VA office. Now, over a year later, I’m still waiting for the crown. Every time I ask for an update, they blame the VA—yet the VA says many veterans have similar complaints about this place. Dentists and hygienists are fine, but the admin office is completely unreliable. I’m requesting a new provider. Veterans deserve better.
