The consultation and analysis of my teeth was very thorough and I was pleased with how caring they were when discussing my treatment plan. My dental assistants name was Vanessa, she was very kind and very educated as she has been in the dental field for many years. All of the ladies in reception were also very kind and handled both front office tasks as well as incoming calls smoothly and if you've ever worked front office customer service that can be very stressful. Dr. Espinoza treated me, she is very down to earth and discussed all options possible and answered all of my intrusive and spontaneous questions along the way. The office has financing available which is convenient as dental work can add up quickly. This office will be my new primary dental office. 10/10 would recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently became a new patient at La Verne Dental Group after many years of not recieving dental care. I had alot of anxiety about the dentist in general and how much it may cost without insurance, but neither of those were an issue. The entire staff from the office to the procedure rooms were friendly and comforting. The reccomended procedures and costs were transparent and easy to understand. They offer an annual plan that discounts your procedures and two different options for financing that made it surprisingly affordable and convenient. I had my work done by Dr. Slade, Dr. Desai, Dr. Vohra, and RDH Rodriguez. They were all incredibly friendly and comforting during the procedures as well as getting it all done very quickly. I experienced basically no pain at all and their work was immaculate. My crowns are comfortable and look natural, My extractions healed well, and my oral hygiene has felt better than ever after my cleaning and reccomended home care. I plan on continuing my dental care here for as long as I am able. Thank you, Dr. Slade and La Verne Dental Group! ❤️

Experiencia negativa: Do not believe this. Our grandmother contacted LaVerne Dental group for an appointment. As she made the appointment over the phone, she was asked what insurance she had, and after providing the insurance information, she was given an appointment. At the time of the appointment, she was given x-rays and after the x-rays she was taken in for treatment. After initial treatment she was then taken to the finance department where they immediately signed her up for Smile Care, a $5000 dental card through Synchrony Bank. LaVerne Dental immediately deducted the day's charges from the card leaving our grandmother with an outstanding debt she did not incur. Our grandmother was shocked. She reminded LaVerne Dental of her insurance and was told by the finance person that her insurance wasn't accepted there. She reminded them that when she called to make the appointment, they could have told her that instead of saying yes and setting an appointment. Also, if after taking x-rays they had reviewed a treatment plan with her before providing treatment, she could have declined treatment and walked away without a new debt. Our grandmother had a credit score of nearly 800, now it is 560 because in trying to resolve this issue with LaVerne Dental they took forever to respond. She is currently taking LaVerne Dental to court and has discovered through talking with various lawyers and other dental offices that some dental facilities are unscrupulous and do this to trap people into making payments, particularly seniors. Now her credit is ruined. LaVerne Dental took nearly a year to return the unused portion of the $5000, but too late. Her credit is ruined. We have asked LaVerne Dental since they deceived us by providing false information return the funds the collected for treatment so that my grandmother can pay off this debt. After all, had they been honest in the beginning, and not taken her on as a patient because they did not accept her insurance, she wouldn't be in this boat. Don't just review the 4-stars, review the other reviews also.

Experiencia negativa: I need to update my previous review. My wife had a very disappointing experience at this office, and unfortunately we can no longer recommend it. The visit felt heavily focused on selling additional services rather than providing patient-centered care. The repeated pressure to purchase treatments we were not interested in made what should have been a routine dental appointment uncomfortable and stressful. What was most concerning was the way my wife felt she was spoken to during the process. She left feeling talked down to rather than listened to, which made an already difficult visit much harder. We understand that dental offices need to discuss treatment options, but patients should never feel pressured or made to feel like a revenue source instead of a person seeking care. Based on our experience, we would not want others to go through the same situation.

Instead of feeling heard or guided, I felt completely boxed in by the dentist’s limited skill set and lack of experience. As a patient, you expect options, clarity, and confidence in the person working on you—but none of that was present. It felt like I had to lower my expectations just to fit what the dentist was capable of, which is unacceptable when it comes to your health and appearance. The overall experience came across as unprofessional, frustrating, and extremely limiting. I left feeling disappointed and honestly irritated that my concerns weren’t properly addressed. If you value clear communication, competence, and having real options in your dental care, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I have been trying to reach your office since yesterday regarding the refund that was supposed to be issued to my mom’s insurance after the denture treatment was cancelled. We were previously informed that both my mom and the insurance would be reimbursed. We trusted that this had already been completed, especially since it has been almost a year. However, we are now working with a new dental office, and they informed us that the insurance did not approve the treatment because there is still a record showing the previous denture claim. The insurance frequency is every 5 years, which means my mom would have to wait that long even though she never received her dentures from your office. Because of this, we need to confirm whether the refund to the insurance has already been processed so that her benefits can be restored and she can proceed with treatment. I have called several times and was told someone would call me back, but I have not received a return call yet. Could you please confirm if and when the refund was sent back to the insurance, and provide any documentation or reference number if available? Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated, as this situation is currently delaying her dental treatment. Thank you.

Dr Slade, assistant Grey, receptionist Melody and most of all my hygienist Adrina are my new friends. Full of compassion and kindness, it does not get any better than this. I highly recommend to anyone who is apprehensive about dental work to let this group care for you. You will be amazed!!! I promise!!! I returned today to have my left side molar extracted. This was the reason for my first appointment to get a second opinion and La Verne dental was correct. It did need extraction and my hygienist also found I was a victim of periodontal gum disease and gave me a prophylactic plan to reverse this. They are experts at gum issues. They have the knowledge especially if you have medical conditions where gum disease is bad and Dr Choe is a periodontal surgeon and he explained every step while extracting molar. Can’t thank you enough for making this a comfortable experience. Compassionate and caring are the staff. Now I heal and prepare for my implant.

Dr Michelle Slade is great, ask for her as she is the best and the only dentist i will be seeing from now on. The operations manager, April Lewis, is so comforting and helpful. She breaks down everything, explaining anything and everything as many times as you need while always having a smile on her face. She makes sure you leave without any questions, concerns, worries, or confusion. The dental hygienist Mercedes is so kind and helps you keep a maintenance plan that isn’t overwhelming. She won’t give you a new 10 step nightly routine (unless that’s what you want), she will have you start slow and build up to that routine. Ask her any questions and she’s got the answers/ recommendations for you. I use to put off going to the dentist for as long as possible because even the thought on skin an appointment gave me such bad anxiety, but since i found this team, i have no worries and am happy to make that appointment.

Experiencia negativa: I would suggest looking at the Yelp reviews of this place as well as it will give a complete picture of what to expect. I have been with this office for 6 years and the staff is a constant revolving door. I have stayed as a patient for this long due to the convenience that it is very close to my house. Most the dentists have been kind, but a majority have been new grads. I've had good and bad experiences with the newer dentists, but most of my issues are with the office staff. This year alone they have messed up my appointments 3 times where I was booked for a slot that was actually not available and found out when I showed up. Another time I sat outside of the locked office for approx 25 minutes because no one arrived on time to open. I work full time and move my work schedules around my appts which is a pain sometimes to reschedule. For this last incident I was told they called me every day for several days to tell me they tried calling. I have no missed calls or voicemails. I know we have spoken over the phone in the past and they have left voicemails in the past. iPhones do not automatically purge call logs or voicemails. There is nothing in my recent, missed, or voicemail logs for the last month from the office which I do have saved as they have several numbers. The office manager suggested it may have been full, which it wasn't. I was also told that they use a "very advanced" EMR to document and chart. Yes, I know what EPIC is and I also know those are manual entries that don't actually link to an actual call system. The last several incidents of "miscommunication" have really made me question why I am still a patient here because this place is not cheap. Example: my insurance rejected their claim for over $100 for "patient instructions" which were verbal from the hygienist who basically told me to floss. I am very disappointed in my recent experiences as a patient here and hope it improves because Dr. Slade is actually a really good dentist and their hygienist is great as well.

Experiencia negativa: RETURN THE HARD-EARNED MONEY THAT YOU OWE MY MOM!!! I am sharing our WORST and disappointing experience which led us to canceling all the future appointments for our family members. La Verne Dental Group used to be great, I was a patient here myself for years but I now highly recommend avoiding this business due to the poor, disrespectful, and frustrating services provided by the new management. My parents, whom I referred, were extremely dissatisfied. If you decline their recommended procedures, they will display an attitude, as seen in my father and mother's experiences. This behavior appears to be driven by financial motivations rather than customer satisfaction. Moreover, my mother had to return MULTIPLE TIMES due to unresolved issues for her new dentures she supposed to get from this clinic (too loose, too tight or misaligned), demonstrating a lack of regard for clients' time. Also to add, the wait time to be seen on every scheduled appointment is way too long. They charged my mother in advance on MARCH 8, 2025 for services not yet rendered, and okay no problem, but to make her go back and forth is not acceptable and frustrating. Wasting her time and effort that led her to breakdown on her last visit, after so many fittings and trials the dentures is misaligned and looked awful! That made her decide to stop and cancel the dentures. That was MAY 13, 2025. APRIL THE OFFICE MANAGER, promised to REFUND HER $500 COPAYMENT and to RETURN THE MONEY TO THE INSURANCE so my mom can still get her denture from a different dental office and she said it is also as per DR. SLADE (their head/boss). APRIL said it would take about 30 days, then to give them another week and week, after that she told my dad my mom is going to get her refund on JULY 4TH, then the last time APRIL told my dad they don’t know anymore “WHEN!!”, and it will depend on their ACCOUNTING. We called them today AUGUST 2, 2025 to ask for the phone number of their accounting, and the lady, Nicole said they don’t have an accounting and it is APRIL THE OFFICE MANAGER who deals with the billing, and she sees no pending refund for my mom. And showing that they are waiting for us to turnover the checks from the insurance WHICH MY MOM ALREADY DID MONTHS AGO. and as per APRIL, they are the one who is going to return the checks to my mom’s insurance. This establishment has provided my family with the worst and traumatic experience we have ever had. This caused significant distress through repeated phone calls. April, the office manager, consistently promised return calls but failed to follow through. It is crucial to be cautious when dealing with this establishment and its staff. Their behavior was consistently disrespectful, including hanging up calls mid-conversation. It is hard to trust them anymore particularly, the office manager who should be professionally dealing with it. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 3 MONTHS SINCE YOU PROMISED TO RETURN THE MONEY. MY MOM NEEDS HER NEW DENTURES. PEOPLE ARE WORKING HARD TO EARN AND PROVIDE FOR WHAT THEY NEED, YOUR ARE AN ESTABLISHED BUSINESS, PLEASE DON’T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE HARD EARNED MONEY OF PEOPLE, YOU CLAIMED TO BE YOUR PATIENT.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently started going to La Verne Dental Group and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience! From the moment I checked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The process was smooth and efficient, and the X-rays were done quickly with no discomfort. Dr. Slade was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, taking the time to explain everything in detail. I felt confident in the care I was receiving, and they really made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. On top of that, the pricing was fair and transparent, which was a huge relief. Overall, I’m very impressed and will definitely be returning for future dental care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming to this office for over a year and I am very satisfied with their services. My teeth have never been better. Everyone at the office is courteous and knowledgeable. They have so much patience and they take the time to educate you on things such as flossing correctly. I would recommend them to everyone.

Experiencia negativa: I don’t understand how suddenly I was paying $97 dollars out of pocket every time I went to visit when my copay was meant to be $0 for a simple cleaning(at least for two cleanings a year)? Apparently my standard cleaning was instead periodontal maintenance that wasn’t disclosed explicitly otherwise I would default to a regular cleaning. Within the past two years I’ve had a jaw click that I keep receiving a referral for but every place I’m referred to wrote me off as” non damaging “ I’ve called and complained about this in person. I was a very big fan of this place three years ago so I’m not sure what happened. The front desk passed me off to everyone but no direct answers. I had to call my insurance directly just to find out why the costs were the way they were. The dental hygienist is a sweet woman but even after I told them I had NO MONEY and NO JOB they continued to push for certain things that I just don’t have the money for. This place has changed a lot so I would advise asking for clarity for ALL costs. Original:Love this dental office! Probably the best one I’ve had all together. They don’t charge or do any service with out running it by you first. Then if get okayed by it then they try their best to accommodate your financial position. The staff is friendly and they deal with one problem at a time in a reasonable way. Front desk is really comforting and know how to talk to patients. Fantastic individuals. They helped me out with my wisdom teeth when they were cracking my jaw to ensure that I could heal up properly caught things about my teeth that other dentists ignored and really heard me out about concerns. I had couple numbing recently and I come home and take a nap and I wake up no pain. Thank you guys so much for making this dental group team 10/10 I can’t thank you enough. Dr. Aniwigbo explained her recommendations to me in a very clear way, and I never felt like I was being pressured to spend money. All of the front staff, hygienists, and assistants have also been awesome!

Experiencia fantástica: This is an excellent and friendly office, the front desk ladies Melody and Nicole were very helpful and nice. The doctor Dr.Chima was very kind and informative, she was explaining things to my understanding. Her dental assistant Vanessa was very welcoming and made sure I was comfortable and understood what will be going on. This is also a very clean environment and I truly appreciate that as a patient.

Experiencia fantástica: This was a great friendly office the front ladies Nicole and meldoly were kind and great and gave us all the information we needed and made us feel really welcoming and Vanessa the dental assistant took our X-rays and photos and described everything she was doing including a cbct scan and pano and we had the pleasure to meet dr. Chioma as well. Overall this is a great office and will recommending to everyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chioma was so kind and patient with my kids (6yo and 4yo). She made them laugh and feel comfortable. She was encouraging and helpful. When my 6yo needed a brake she stopped and told him a story about her own son. She was amazing!!
