Experiencia fantástica: Had a crown put in, which always scares me a bit. I think it is time to put my worries to bed, OC Healthy Smiles is doing such a great job! The dentist and the assistant were super friendly and understanding about my worries. Put me completely at ease. The procedure was going extremely smoothly, the new crown feels great, and I got the final crown the same day! I just had to wait 45 minutes for it to be made. Easy, on the comfy chair, with a blanket and headphones :) Front desk staff is also super nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I had been experiencing jaw pain whenever I flew and wanted to get it checked before my next flight, which was only three days away. OC Healthy Smiles was able to get me in for a 1:00 PM appointment, where they took X-rays and determined that I had an infection that required a root canal. Fortunately, the endodontist was in the office that day and was able to fit me in for an emergency appointment at 5:00 PM. Before the procedure, I was speaking with Klaudine, the Lead Dental Assistant, and mentioned that my wife and I had plans for the weekend. Klaudine shared that it was also her wedding anniversary, yet she chose to stay and help ensure I could receive treatment before the weekend and my upcoming flight. The patient experience I received was truly above and beyond, and I am incredibly grateful for Klaudine's kindness and dedication. The procedure went smoothly, and I am feeling great. This office genuinely practices what it preaches—providing not only exceptional dentistry, but also genuine compassion and care for its patients. I highly recommend OC Healthy Smiles to anyone looking for outstanding dental care and an exceptional patient experience.

I think one of the best feelings you can feel in a dentist office is feeling like a family. They are your total dental support go-to’s… from cleanings and all dental needs to whitening and Invisalign. Also, their office is absolutely clean and they play soft music that makes you feel relaxed as if you’re going to the spa. To be honest, I feel just as good leaving as I would leaving a massage. They know what they are doing . They gave me the right treatment for my root canal and temporary crown. Klaudine and Dr.T worked very hard to get my root canal fixed . Experiencia positiva: I have been a patient at OC Healthy Smiles for a couple of years now. I find the environment to be very inviting. I love the menu of accommodations they provide once you are seated for your appointment. The doctors and dental hygienists are always respectful and friendly. The office is very clean. The service is efficient. My only complaint is that I feel like I am paying a lot (even with insurance coverage) out of pocket each time I go in. This is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Experiencia negativa: When I first came here I loved it. I thought the workers and dentists were kind! Which they are BUT I did not care for being taken advantage of with knowledge of plans. I was enticed with the promotion of Invisalign treatment costing approximately $5,200 which is ~$1-2k more than other places I later realized, but it said that it included all visits, treatments and lifetime whitening and everyone was really nice so I figured it’s probably worth it. Everything during my treatment went ok, but when it came to the last visit they asked me if I was satisfied with my treatment and if I wasn’t I could pay an additional fee to fine-tune it. At the time I was still paying off the Invisalign treatment I had and I couldn’t afford anymore, so I declined. I came back to the office months later because I realized they left some adhesive left on my teeth that stained so I came back to shave it off and figured I’d do a whitening treatment. THEN THEY HIT ME WITH “oh to get the free whitening you have to purchase a dental cleaning with us which cost ~$500-700 depending on the package you choose…. And then sent me a form that they DID NOT give or explain to me in the beginning. This all totally would’ve been fine IF I HAD BEEN EXPLAINED AND GIVEN THIS FORM BEFORE I signed and purchased this plan. It’s crazy because I asked them too if I could just come whenever for the teeth whitening and they were like oh yea you can do it whenever you want because it’s free and didn’t tell me about the ~$700 dental cleaning package I’d have to purchase when I do get it. Mind you I kept all the forms they gave me when I first signed up so I know what information they gave me and what they didn’t. Then when I went back to look over the forms initially given to me I realized that my plan came with free 3 additional retainer sets to fine-tune my teeth if I wasn’t satisfied with it at the end of treatment. WHICH AGAIN I would’ve appreciated having that explained to me because I declined before due to not having the funds for anything extra when this whole time it was already supposed to be free and included in my plan. I would’ve totally wanted a fine-tuning adjustment had I known. When I brought it up they hit me with the, i “had to be within 2 years of treatment” and when I brought up that my forms said 3, they told me well they already closed my case and I’d have to pay additional NOW since I didn’t tell them before (when they told me I had to pay when actually it was free). It sucks because honestly I liked the location and I thought the staff was nice but I did not like feeling taken advantage of and going to ANOTHER dental office that wasn’t honest. It felt like I had to think and talk like a lawyer and question everything now to double down and check every little thing and minor detail. I thought that they were nice people but it started to feel all fake and just for the money. I like honest and genuine business especially with my medical team and I did not feel that way here. This experience with them taught me to ——with every business—doublecheck prices everywhere first to make sure I’m actually getting a good deal and not getting ripped off and to comb through and ask every question and scenario possible cuz businesses like this are definitely gonna hide some important facts, so my fault for trusting them and not seeking out the knowledge about these things myself.

Amazon gift cards and referral promos were never honored, cleanings haven’t been the same since our hygienist left, and my husband’s crown issue is still unresolved despite referrals. For the price, we expected better communication and follow-through. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to go elsewhere.

I bring my children here for all of their dental needs as well as mine. The lobby is a fun place for the children to wait while they can watch a movie, play with the puzzles or read a book! Experiencia negativa: I can look past bad customer service, however, I cannot when it comes to bad dental treatment. If you go in with a serious dental problem, they will only exacerbate it and charged liberally for it. Worst dentist experience I’ve dealt with. I had high hopes for this place after it was recommended but now have to go another dentist to resolve the issues they only made worse. Horrible experience.

Experiencia negativa: My brother came in for a tooth abscess that the hygienist Klaudine herself told him needs to be drained- and they didn’t drain it. Now he is suffering from a severe infection throughout his face and has to get that tooth PULLED because OC Healthy Smiles and Dr. Truong failed to give him the bare essential proper care that he needed. Dr. Truong sent him home with the wrong prescription, charged him $239, and told him to come back in ONE MONTH for a root canal after his initial- and final visit. They are not returning emails or phone calls. Good thing he went to another dentist office, where they were shocked that this wasn’t drained. Go here at your own risk.

I called the number not knowing what to expect and Dr Nguyen answers and asked me to text him my full name and email address and squeezed me in the next morning! Well the office is beautiful, everyone is very nice I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Nguyen and was assigned Dr Truong and his assistant (oh I forgot her name) was wonderful! I have never had such a wonderful experience at a dentist office! 5 Stars

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The cozy lobby, a thoughtful "comfort menu" so you're comfortable during your services/treatments (neck pillows, ear plugs, etc.), and a goodie bag at the end were great touches. Nicole, the dental hygienist, was amazing--she gave me a tour, took her time explaining my dental health, and even pointed out a small spot no other dentist had mentioned. She reassured me it wasn't serious and walked me through how to prevent it from getting worse. Dr. Sheila Nikdel was also wonderful--attentive, patient, and thorough. Even though I didn't need any work done, I appreciated how she took her time and didn't rush through the visit. Tanya, who handles insurance, was so helpful, even answering questions about my fiancé's coverage since I referred him. Overall, this place is clean, professional, and truly cares about its patients. I'm also getting Invisalign here and couldn't be more excited. Highly recommend!

Being a new dad at the time, I needed to ensure my dental health would last at least until my new son turned 18. He's 19 now. And my son is his patient. His staff are all on top of things. I’m not exaggerating. Just real. My dental health is very good. And it is such a positive place to visit. Btw his top of the line tech is always tops. Do yourself a favor and check into his services. You will always be grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: After suffering for many days with a toothache, I decided that I had waited too long. I telephoned to ask for an appointment with Dr. Sheila Nikdel. Fortunately, I could see her the same day. She was very thorough in analyzing all of the possibilities and in making some corrections to my bite. The office is beautiful. The staff is friendly. It was a pleasant experience.

Experiencia positiva: The positives: This used to be my favorite dental office in OC and the staff here are very friendly and organized. I've been going here for years. They have the latest equipment and I'm never stuck waiting for long unlike other offices. In the past I've gotten a dental crown done with Klaudine and Dr Nguyen, and many years of teeth cleaning. My chair was comfy and my room had a nice view of a tree. Payment was smooth and the office is really pretty. The negatives: Unfortunately the last time I came, they refused to make a new night guard for me even though it was cutting into my cheeks and I was still under warranty.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent Invisalign treatment. This office is unlike any other. I specifically chose this practice because of their attention to detail and care. When I went in for a consultation, they asked me a lot of questions regarding what kind of care and partnership I am looking for in a dentist. I’ve never been asked that question and I was actually shocked that this wasn’t a common question asked by dentists. I love the staff, the facility is clean, everyone is incredibly professional, and I don’t have to wait months for a treatment. Pricing is reasonable too! They’ve earned my business for life. Currently in the middle of my Invisalign treatment and will update this review at the conclusion of my treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: I haven’t had such a great experience at a dental office in my life. Everyone was welcoming and looked like they truly loved being there. Every single person that helped me made me feel like my time there is precious and really tried to get to know me and what I needed. The doctor as well as the dental assistants, even the plan coordinator took the time and explained everything to me and made sure I understood everything. This is truly the first dental office that did not make me feel like I’m just a number. Thank you!

My past experiences with dentists is that most were skilled, but many were busy, and thus the appointments felt rushed. I recently had my braces removed and wanted to get my teeth whiten I work near one of their offices and saw this amazing offer they have going on for whitening in all it took about an 1 1/2.They have nice pillows and even some aromatherapy thing to spray on the pillow if you want you can also watch Cable TV Amazing also the office is very clean !!!!I could not be happier with my results I would definitely recommend anyone in the Costa Mesa area to check them out!!!!

I absolutely love that she made me feel safe by offering me some coping tools (i.e., noise counseling head sets, aromatherapy, blanket, etc). The environment is clean and organized.
