Experiencia fantástica: After 10 years of treatment at Loma Linda Dental School, which offered no further treatment to me once COVID-19 altered the way things were done there, I needed local treatment. I have a complex, post throat cancer, dental situation. I needed a local dentist for a comprehensive solution. Before selecting Guru Dentistry, I visited 7 other dental offices over a nearly 5-year search, and had preliminary examinations at each office, some for free and others for which I paid (including copies of x-rays and complete reports). I chose Guru for numerous reasons: location in proximity to my residence, cleanliness, spaciousness (I felt cramped at other practices), attractiveness of décor, friendliness of staff (Vanessa, Leslie and Yvette), and state of the art technology. But mostly because Dr. Vanila took her valuable time with me on three preliminary visits over a two-plus year duration (at no charge) patiently answering all of my questions to my satisfaction. When she became expert with the Yomi robotic system for placing implants, I was sold. I have never second guessed my decision. She and her excellent technicians (Juriko, Vik, and Emanuel), with Yomi's help, removed what was left of my natural teeth and placed 12 implants successfully to hold upper and lower dentures. I was not awake during the day of my surgery. Dr. Vanila and Vik helped my friend get me home, which was over-and-above the call of duty. When I re-awoke, I felt zero pain. I followed her directives to the letter. I was psychologically prepared for the radical change in my mouth. Even though I am on blood thinners for a heart condition, the bleeding ceased in under 12 hours post surgery. I had premade some soups and had all the ingredients for milkshakes, etc. I did not feel deprived. The months of recovery, allowing the jawbone and gums to heal properly and accept my implants, have gone by very quickly (for me, anyway). Guru Dentistry have provided numerous follow-up visits as part of the overall plan. Vanessa, Leslie, and Yvette have been VERY helpful in making my appointments convenient and fun. Besides Dr. Vanila, Dr. Hewko has listened to my concerns and has been of valuable consult. Juriko, Emanuel and Vik have provided continual expert, personable support with multiple adjustments during the process. I feel improvement during every visit. I never feel rushed. Being a patient is like being a member of the Guru family. I am nearing completion on the road to final dentures and I couldn't be happier. I will write more when all is done. In the meantime (after 7 months), I am eating popcorn, salads, and just about anything and everything again. Culinary heaven! All of my friends are amazed at the difference in my smile and the utility of having a fully functioning mouth after over a decade of limited use. Without hesitation, I heartily recommend Guru Dentistry to everyone, especially if you need to have complex dental restoration. Blessings!

Experiencia fantástica: I am in the first week of my brand new smile journey! Had 25 teeth pulled, bruxing bone growth removed, 6 implants top and bottom and temporary teeth placed on Friday. I had never had a cavity, but had 5 teeth fall out with 2 more hanging by a thread. I had been to a dozen dentists and periodontists and had gotten nothing but bad ideas, shame and excuses about what they couldn’t do for me. I found Dr. Vanila on Facebook. She was the only female dental surgeon I had ever seen. She and her sweet, funny, informed, patient, kind staff walked me through a process that would work for me, suggested funding that was easy to get approved for and easy to understand. There were no recriminations, no hedging bets, no guesses. They explained the process in a more clear and detailed way than I had heard from others or found in my reading. They had a plan to save my smile and make it work for my life and my profession as a theater instructor. Yesterday they switched the first set for an even better fitting set. That set will be upgraded again in a month. I saw pictures of other patients at other practices 3 days after the surgery and they were horribly bruised from the eyes to the neck. I have no bruises at all. This is due to a gentle touch but also the use of robotics during the procedure both to preplan, mapping it out, and aiding in the surgery from what I understand. I don’t remember the surgery at all - they use a twilight sleep so your body remains conscious and in charge of breathing and you can even follow instructions but have no memory of that later. There was no pain whatsoever. I was tender and swollen, but no bruising and I am so glad about that because I teach kids and don’t want them traumatized by my appearance. Their post op and maintenance instructions are clear and understandable. I am looking forward to my next fitting! Also, they make a mad cup of fancy coffee.

From the wonderful dental assistants to Dr. Choudhary himself I am always treated with grace and understanding, even if I do ask a million questions. Dr. Choudhary obviously takes great pride in his work and his staff as everyone always seems to be smiling and enjoying what they do and that is infectious and comforting, especially in a place we would all rather not be. The whole staff the the dentist, dental assistants and receptionist are all first class! Kind, accommodating, knowledgeable. My implant turned out awesome and the mouth guard the best I've had , and I've had three from other dentists. The physical therapy for my jaw and neck were very helpful as well as the constant adjustments to the mouth guard. I highly recommend this team!!!!

Bonnie explained everything in great detail and was very patient . Super office........ 2 years later 2 sets of teeth , fist set didn't fit and I clicked when speaking , that took over a year to correct . 2nd set too big / wide. Complained for about a year then told by dr Vanilla there's nothing she will do . Also i was refused a cleaning unless i paid cash when i have insurance . Linea alba bilaterally and multiple mouth sores everytime I chew . Save your 60 grand and go elsewhere .

Experiencia negativa: I honestly don’t understand why this clinic has such high ratings. From the moment I walked in, I was left waiting for a long time. The front desk staff seemed extremely busy, constantly on the phone, and no one really acknowledged me or gave me any updates. I just sat there waiting and waiting, feeling completely ignored. And I was asked to fill out an unusually long set of forms. After that, I was taken into a room where a very serious-looking white female doctor treated me like I had some major dental issue — even though I had just recently done a full set of X-rays and a complete oral exam at another clinic. She insisted I take new X-rays again, and when I said no, she seemed annoyed. The whole place felt cold and unwelcoming. No one smiled. I was already nervous about getting a filling, and this environment made me feel even worse. It felt like the doctor didn’t care about my situation at all — she just went straight into trying to sell treatments without even properly explaining things. I didn’t feel respected or listened to. I wasted over 30 minutes there and walked out feeling upset. Later, I went to another dental office, and they had no problem using the X-rays I already had — which means this clinic was just trying to charge me extra for no good reason. I also don’t speak perfect English, and I couldn’t help but feel a bit discriminated against. The whole experience was uncomfortable and disappointing. I do not recommend this clinic at all.
