I've been going there for several years and every time I go, I'm impressed by the friendliness and the professionalism of the entire staff. It starts with the receptionist, she is cheerful and always greets me by my name. I'm not just a number, I am a person. Since making Cedar Ridge Aesthetic Family Dentistry, my primary dentist, they have helped me improve my dental health and Care significantly. The pain in my jaw, (TMJ) has stopped. It no longer hurts to drink hot or cold liquids. I can now chew food without having to try to favor one side of my teeth or the other due to sensitivity and pain. My dental health has greatly improved because of Cedar Ridge Family dentistry. I highly recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: UPDATE: DO NOT RECOMMEND I’m hopeful with my insurance I’ll be able to get the deep cleaning I need sooner than later. I’ve only been for X-rays so I can’t make a complete judgement for over all care. I will update when I get a call back, and hopefully the cleaning. They did warn me it could take 2 months, but my insurance is state insurance and I know they probably won’t want to pay. Here’s hoping. UPDATE They stopped taking my insurance. (Thank goodness because they messed up my boyfriends tooth) My boyfriend went for a filling and the dentist said “OOPS I NEED TO REDO IT!!” And now he’s had pain for two weeks. Very bad dental work. And she still charged him full price. He won’t be back. Botched work.

Experiencia negativa: The billing process at Cedar Ridge Esthetic has been a horrible experience. I got services on July 2nd, 2025 and a claim was not submitted until August 26th. I had to repeatedly call and let them know my insurance company has not received a claim yet. Once I received my EOB on September 5, 2025, it showed I overpaid and they are refusing to issue me a refund. Because of this I have submitted a request to my insurance company for them to not be in network and I have also submitted a compliant to the Iowa Dental Board.

Experiencia fantástica: Service is great! Staff is punctual and very knowledgeable. They educated me about my situation and offered suggestions to resolve the problem. They are very pleasant and professional and put you at ease. The office is in a good location in Urbandale. Easy to find and lots of free parking. The office has modern equipment . The hours are good for working people. It's great for the whole family!

As for what you see from the good comments, they are a group of close people and employees who work in the clinic. Disrespect and arrogance is their way of dealing. Even though my wife and I have government insurance, they still send me a bill.

I switched here from Waukee Dental and I am very happy I did. The lead dentist does great work(which is not a given at the dentist these days), but the care she puts into explaining everything clearly is what I appreciated the most. I fully understood the treatment I received and why it was important. This place makes me excited to go to the dentist, and I will be recommending to all my immediate and extended family.

Experiencia negativa: This dental office knowingly took advantage to charge my insurance. They knew that they will no longer accept my dental insurance by June, 2025. Today April 8, 2025 they still conduct my appointment and after taking X-ray, they said I have to have a deep clean and they also knew that there is no opening for me to see them again for deep cleaning by June. They just took X-ray and send me home. Of course, they charge my insurance for the X-ray. They were not honest. People nowadays included professional people are bad.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t get your teeth pulled here they will make you wait months for the wrong colored teeth. I also got a 6 month check up and they insisted I needed an X-ray for no apparent reason then I got a $250 bill in the mail.

Experiencia fantástica: I was just checking the address again and I noticed some reviews that compelled me to leave a review myself. Idk where all these accusations are coming from, but I know my experience. I have EXTREMELY bad anxiety, so I'm not the easiest patient, I try, but I still vibrate thru my whole experience in fear. Doc never once let me be uncomfortable, her assistant offered to hold my hand, wiped a tear from my face, and showed me nothing but kindness and compassion. One of my teeth was harder than the other, it got infected from doing the work, doc called in antibiotics for me the very day I let them know pain was happening, and sent a referral to iowa city to root canal it, since the antibiotics had taken care of the problem, they're gonna get it popped back on for me. So, she took full accountability, called me in my meds the minute she found out I was in pain, and then reached back out to me to see how I was, and since iowa city hadn't reached out yet, but we got it solved with antibiotics, scheduled me to come get it popped on TWO days later. Now, I get that this is a 5/10 minute appointment compared to most that's not very much time, but still, they have always shown me this respect and compassion and while I've been in their office, I've never seen them speak, act, or treat any one person out of character. This place is one of the better dental offices I've been to, so it irked me to see the bad reviews here. They have been great with communicating as well. They never got back to me, i even returned a couple weeks later to check-up, and they said no news yet, and i don't need to check back in, just wait for a call or message. That was 4 months ago and now im moving. So i paid for the check-up, but didn't get any cleaning done. Got scammed by it.

Very kind, professional, clean and overall it was a great experience. I called them needing to be seen as I had a tooth crumbling in pieces and they were able to get me in the next day! Turns out I needed two extractions... they made the process super fast which I appreciate! I highly recommend this place and I will be returning for all future visits

Experiencia fantástica: A+! I can’t say enough positive things about this dental office!!! ROCK STARS!!! It is an awesome dentist office. I personally like going to the dentist because I love clean, white, shinny teeth and any cavities etc. that need taken care, be fixed immediately. After all we only have one set of teeth so I do my best to take care of them. My dental hygienist moved away and I had been in search of a new dentist office for a long time. I’d been to 3 other offices before Cedar Ridge but wasn’t impressed or comfortable with any of them. The office I went to before going to Cedar Ridge did a lot of unnecessary work over a 19 month period and didn’t finish one thing they started. I would tell the dentist that something was wrong, like my bite was too high, to which she replied, “you're just the patient, I’m the doctor and i can see everything fine,” and wouldn’t adjust my bite. I’d go back with blood blisters on the corner of my gums from biting them because my bite was off. My bite wasn’t adjusted on that visit because she her agenda wasn’t adjusting my bitei, she did something else. It was very uncomfortable and made it hard to chew. Without notice that Dentist took a leave of absence leaving me high and dry and no end in sight; major depressing! I contacted my insurance company to inform them of my dilemma and they went in search of a dental office that would accept new patients. Cedar Ridge took me in and what a blessing it was. Those Dentists and Hygienists were above the rest. Within weeks they had repaired or replaced all the damage done by the previous dental office. This was a huge spirit lifting change for me which I felt so much better about myself and my appearance. One doesn’t think about becoming depressed because of teeth but it happens to people daily. I’ve been going to Cedar Ridge for over a year now and don’t have one complaint or negative thing to say about them. The final day they got all of my issues fixed or corrected, I did a cartwheel down the hall on their office; I’m 65 years old. That’s how happy they had me. If you’re looking for a top notch dental office, this is it. Just pray they are taking new patients so you can make them your dental office you. You’ll never look for another one. To all the employees at Cedar Ridge, hats off to you and a ginormous THANK YOU!!!

Experiencia negativa: There was miscommunication about the type of dental work that was to be done and so I cancelled the appointment the same day. Later, my other half requested the waive the cancelation fee because of the miscommunications and the owner agreed and was about to rescudule. After about 20 minutes of being in there, for no reason at all (was refused an explanation as to why) while my 4 year old was getting her teeth cleaned, was asked to leave the building. Not happening. Would be an irresponsable parent if I did leave whilst my daughter was still there. I waited for my other half to enter the cubicle before I decided to leave. They have embarrased my family while there even though there was only 1 person in the waiting room. Also its not very private as it is 1 large room divided by cubicle walls. Everytime, i went there always seen the ladies at the reception just gossiping and having a good time. We only went here because it was the first place we found that was instantlly accepting new clients. Was advised that they are most likely not busy all the time for a reason. They also decided to escort my 4 year old and my disabled partner out the door after I decided to wait in our car. Also to the owner, Do not contact us personally via phone or mail. We are contacting the appropriate personal to make sure you understand that this is the case. Update: considering my partner and daughter are Palestinian, the owners response does not make any sense. This is flat out a lie. Update: saved 2 teeth by going to an experienced dentist. Update: The owner will bill you over 365 days instead of being complient with your insurance just because she doesn't like you either from your last name. She also has videos on tik tok of an unconcious client stating "should I kill him? It would be so easy!" The owner claims to be the "Cool Dentist". I prefer a professional dentist. Research the owners name. Then you decide. I saved those videos for a reason.

Hardly any pain and very nice and informative due to be being pregnant and a new patient. Will be keeping as my regular dentist!!!

I was told one thing in the chair and another once I got home after my appointment was cancelled. I would not refer anyone to this facility go somewhere else. Experiencia negativa: I got three cavities filled here several weeks ago. This was the first time leaving the dentist with my mouth still full of blood, my jaw hurting, and my whole mouth just feeling off. I waited a few days to reach back out about pain and a metallic taste. I left a voicemail and texted them with no response. I waited another day to text them again with no response. I ended up going to my old dentist. They had over filled the bottom two teeth, and used a filling on the top teeth not meant for that kind of teeth. Overall, I am very disappointed with this place. I still can not use a whole side of my mouth two weeks later because of their mistakes.
