Experiencia fantástica: I can’t recommend Transcendentist enough. Excellent care and excellent service. Highly skilled and very kind. I am very picky about practitioners I see. I was a patient of Fred Pockrass, DDS for many years and when he sold the practice, I was worried. My worry was entirely unfounded. The two fabulous women who took over go above and beyond for their patients just like Dr Fred and have helped me through a few not so fun issues, including a panic attack entirely NOT of their doing. They responded effectively and with great kindness and got me through it. This practice is great for anyone with past dental trauma or just normal anxiety around the dentist. They will work with your comfort level and use both conventional and alternative approaches accordingly. I have referred many people to them, and have always gotten positive feedback. It doesn’t hurt that their facility is GORGEOUS and very calming.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been coming to Transcendentist since 2009, and this latest experience reminded me exactly why I’ve stayed so loyal all these years. On Thursday evening, I managed to walk straight into a glass door and chipped my front tooth—badly. A large portion was missing, and honestly, it looked terrible. I reached out first thing Friday morning, not realizing they’re closed Fridays through Sundays, but despite that, they were still able to squeeze me in first thing Monday. After about 2.5–3 hours in the chair, I walked out with a tooth that looked like absolutely nothing had ever happened. The shape, the color—everything matched perfectly. It’s truly impossible to tell it was ever chipped. I was blown away by the level of skill and attention to detail. On top of that, the entire team made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that I actually dozed off here and there during the procedure—which says a lot given the situation! I’m beyond impressed and incredibly grateful. Thank you!

The offices are welcoming and have a warm atmosphere that is very calming .I got my cleaning yesterday snd their hygienist did a great job..This place is more expensive, but absolutely worth it.

Dr. Sangha and Dr. Kamat both do a great job of explaining issues, treatment options and rationale. They make sure you know how to signal them so that if anything hurts, they will stop and fix it. They are skilled with their hands and their nerve blocks work well. The dentists clean your teeth themselves. The office has a warm feel, the equipment is very up-to-date, including a dental laser that can sometimes obviate the need for drilling. I have great confidence in their dental care. My highest recommendation. By far the best dentists I’ve ever had!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent dentistry! They did my veneers and now my smile looks great. It's a real improvement that I appreciate everyday. They have state of the art equipment and are meticulous in their exams. I first came to them years ago because I had some tooth pain. At the time the dentist I was seeing said there was no problem. He did some imaging and didn't see anything that should cause pain. I decided to try a second opinion. I went to Transcendentist. They had vastly superior equipment and when they ran some diagnostic imaging, they found that I had a crack in my molar underneath an old filling. They were able to give me a crown, and it was a miracle. The tooth was saved and is never painful now. I decided to get my old metal fillings replaced and they did a beautiful job with that. The new fillings are not metal. They are healthier for me, and they are perfectly blended into the tooth, so they are completely invisible. That is a great improvement! I highly recommend Transendentist! They are highly skilled and the office is warm and friendly. Even the interior is appointed in a way to put you at ease. My entire family has switched to their practice. We are all in agreement that they are the best dentists we have ever been to.

Experiencia fantástica: This may sound crazy, but I love going to my dentist! Even during Covid. I knew that I would be 100% safe here. And that’s coming from someone with a lung condition and other high risk factors. I hadn’t gone anywhere at all since lockdown in mid-March. Then, out of the blue, I got some intense tooth pain. I made an appointment to see Dr. Ruhi and knew her office would meet the highest standards of safety. I was right. There’s a HEPA air filter in each office. The staff are all wearing masks and gloves, and Dr. Ruhi is in protective gear. Everything is super sterilized. In addition to all the Covid precautions, Dr. Ruhi is a fantastic dentist. Super gentle and super knowledgeable. Last time I was there, she filled a cavity for me without my having to use novocaine. I chose to use Hypericum, a homeopathic remedy that I had brought with me. Dr. Ruhi was so patient and very willing to pause whenever I needed an extra dose. And this trip? The tooth pain turned out to be an inflamed ligament. Who knew that those nuts I eat for a snack could hit a tooth or my gum in such a way as to cause throbbing pain that felt like I would need a root canal?! She’s a great diagnostician. Experiencia fantástica: Dr Praj and Dr Ruhi are both amazing dentists! Its so hard to find integrative dentists and this group are all pros. I recently had to replace an old filling and they were able to do this without novocaine or any injectable numbing agent. They used a laser to numb me and I was able to walk out feeling completely normal. No drooling or biting my lips. I hate novocain! I usually have to get extra shot to get numb then my whole day gets ruined. Laser anesthesia is incredible. I highly recommend this practice. They have helped me so much over the years.

They are kind and caring and listen to their patients. I miss the foot massages you used to get when getting your teeth worked on, but I guess you can't have it all!

This is the place to go if you have anxiety about going to the dentist. She also had very helpful suggestions about improving my dental care without being judgmental about the issues I am having or that I hadn’t received a cleaning in a couple years. This was also my first experience with an out of network provider. I was expecting to have to file the claim with my dental plan on my own. Unbeknownst to me they took care of filing the claim entirely for me. Definitely worth going!

It was of concern that I was getting some quite different opinions on the cause of this problem, and also that the first two dentists I consulted spent very little time with me, leading me to feel that perhaps they didn't really care. The third dentist was unable to obtain adequate x-rays and did not have the equipment to make a thorough assessment. Experiencia fantástica: This has to be the most comfortable dentist's office in existence. Comfy seating in the front while you wait, and I saw a Keurig with plenty of mugs but I didn't have to wait long enough to use it. The whole place felt more like a big living room than a medical office. They're also high tech. I went in to get an oral appliance for my sleep disorder, and instead of messy impressions they had a 3d scanner that builds a complete model of your teeth. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I have a regular dentist in Berkeley that I like, but I'm still tempted to switch.

Experiencia fantástica: The people at Transcendentist are unlike any dental care team you've ever experienced. They are kind, caring, thoughtful, and thorough. There's a giant intake form that the dentist ACTUALLY reads and discusses with you—and then goes even more in-depth on—that allows them to ferret out issues with your teeth. All my past dentists would say things like, "You need to brush more" or "You just have genetically soft enamel" but THIS dentist looked at all the evidence and figured out that I have silent reflux. It's treatable. It's not genetics, and I'm not just somehow terrible at brushing my teeth. But being thorough doesn't stop there. They think about your comfort, and offer blankets, neck pillows, even chapstick when they see your lips are dry because they don't want to cause them to crack. I had to get a filling, and they told me to bring noise-cancelling headphones, then offered me dark glasses and used a device to hold my mouth open so they could work while I was shielded from the unpleasantness of the environment. It was the easiest, nicest filling. I basically took a nap and then went home. Obviously, this place completely changed the way that I experience the dentist. I rave about them to everyone I know when they mention anything about dentists. Do yourself a favour and change how you feel about dentists. Go see the good people at Transcendentist!

The dental office is highly enjoyable with a soothing atmosphere, beautiful decorations. The dental assistant and secretary were just as nice, patient, and accommodating. I live in a neighboring state and decided to keep them as my second dentist for more serious procedures like root canals. Their equipment seems to be more advanced than my local dentist in my home state, and they are fairly priced despite the high quality of their service. Experiencia fantástica: Whether painting the Eifel Tower (Dr. Sanga has hung up her paintings on the walls) or working in the depths of my mouth, the Transcendist team approach their work with artistry and mastery. I'm pleased to have been one of their first patients to use a cold laser. No anesthetic, just a laser, which acts not only to burn decay away, but also as an analgesic! Experiencia fantástica: I went in for the first time yesterday and met with Dr. Praj Kamat to discuss options on what can be done to improve my teeth after getting Invisalign, which resulted in unwanted IPR (shaving off enamel in between teeth) in my upper central incisors, an uneven bite, and what seems to be a posterior open bite (front teeth make contact before back teeth when biting down). Since stopping Invisalign and terminating with my former orthodontist, I have sought the professional opinions of two other orthodontists, both of whom seemed to share the dismissive attitude of my first orthodontist when I shared my concerns. After all that, I gave up on trying to address my bite issues with an ortho and focus on at least improving the esthetics of my smile, which the IPR has negatively affected. (I loved my smile prior to Invisalign and had only intended to correct crowding on the bottom teeth.) Dr. Kamat was the first dental professional I’ve seen since my Invisalign treatment who bothered to listen to my experience, who asked detailed questions, who treated me like an intelligent adult, and who did not gaslight me about my bite issues nor try to convince me that the IPR isn’t noticeable. She instantly clocked how my jaw has to move back to fully bite down. She noticed the uneven strain on one side of my TMJ joints. She explained how my skeletal structure affects my jaw position. I really value professionals who view care as collaborative, who seek clarity and mutual understanding, who share their expertise with you, and who value their patients’ feedback, all of which Dr. Kamat exemplifies. I will be returning to discuss cosmetic options with Dr. Sangha because I had such a good experience with Dr. Kamat and feel comfortable with this practice. One suggestion: I think a listing of prices for the appointment types on the website or in the email appointment confirmation would be useful. Nonetheless, I received a prompt callback when I asked for pricing. Still good to have it in writing to avoid confusion.

Experiencia negativa: I was recommended to this office by a practitioner that I trust and admire and was encouraged by the various stellar online reviews. My experience was roughly 10 minutes and I'm only mentioning the main issues that happened while at the office. I went to the office March 4th for an afternoon appointment. John the dental assistant was unwelcoming, rushed and unempathetic. He burned me with a metal mirror, used for taking photos of the upper mouth area, when he hurriedly inserted the into my mouth. When I reflexively pushed his hand away and told him the tool was hot, he didn’t apologize or check if I was ok. He then reinserted the tool and applied pressure to me extremely sensitive locked jaw at which point I decided to end to appointment. It took roughly 6 days for my upper mouth, gums and tongue to no longer be tender and stop peeling.

I feel deeply supported and understood by everyone. My comfort is encouraged. Fees are reasonable and doctor's skills and compassion are first rate. I have lots of gratitude for Transcendentist.

I was amazed to see how she interacted with him and included him so successfully in the process and she even was able to clean his teeth after her initial inspection. Today, I was publicly chastised in front of another customer with an abrupt demand for immediate payment, despite my procedure being scheduled for completion in two weeks. I had simply forgotten my credit card at home, yet the situation was handled in an unnecessarily demeaning and unprofessional manner. I felt embarrassed and taken aback by their lack of basic courtesy and customer care.

Tracking my gum sensitivity from visit to visit informed me of diet and its affect on my energy levels. Dr Ruhi and Dr Praj take great care to follow up on the phone after a procedure to ensure the recovery is going well. That touch, to me, felt like an invaluable reminder that someone else can help me be accountable for my own health, and that is comforting. When I first went, I needed regular three-month dental cleanings to stop some tooth decay that was the result of poor cavity fillings in the past. Transcendentist cleaned up those old spots and I moved to three cleanings a year. Now I am down to two cleanings a year. Drs Ruhi and Praj and the whole team deeply instilled in me an appreciation for my own dental care and I am greatly appreciative of them as healers

The office is cozy and inviting, and the staff was warm and welcoming, instantly making us feel at home. The highlight, of course, was the dentist, Dr. Praj Kamat. She was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. She took the time to build a genuine connection with our daughter, playing and engaging with her in such a thoughtful way. It was heartwarming to see our little one feel comfortable and even enjoy the experience! What really stood out was how informative Dr. Kamat was while keeping the atmosphere light and playful. She explained everything clearly and made sure we didn’t feel rushed at any point. Her professionalism combined with her nurturing demeanor was truly impressive. This was such a positive experience for Scarlette and for us as parents. I can’t recommend this practice enough to anyone looking for exceptional care, especially for young children. Experiencia fantástica: Very welcoming and reassuring experience every time I come here. All the staff I’ve interacted with are incredibly warm and friendly. My preferred name is always used, and I am not misgendered during my appointment, which is not at all common in medical settings, especially where insurance and government IDs are used. This is also the first dentist I’ve been to where patients aren’t shamed for not being consistent with or having the best hygiene practices, instead I was invited to try practices that were accessible to me, and encouraged to take a more wholistic approach to my dental health, and that has been the most impactful and persistent positive change. It has also greatly reduced the overall anxiety I’ve personally experienced with going to dentists.

From the small things - though I see only her every 6 months and am one of many patients, she remembers personal details I shared and asks about them, to the bigger - I have never felt pressured to do dental services I don’t need, and have felt very supported as I weigh my treatment options, Dr Sangha and team have been bar none the best dentist I have ever seen. I recommend her to everyone!

Today I stepped in to try to schedule a visit to deal with a distressing toothache - they made space and saw me immediately, then scheduled an afternoon return visit to address the problem. Getting my low radiation x-rays and intra-oral photo scan was easy and fascinating. They helped me adjust a crown that had been affecting my bite for a few years, fill in the broken cavity, get a deep clean, and get my mouth to a much healthier place. Haven't had dentists who are so professionally skilled and caring at the same time. They made an experience that could have been extremely unpleasant a lot easier. Also didn't make me feel bad about having not taken care of my teeth as well as I should and just helped me get to a better place (which was much appreciated).

I've had very positive experience with her. She proved to possess great expertise and I appreciate her gentle touch during the treatment. Experiencia fantástica: I had the good fortune to be able to see the awesome doctors and staff at Transcendentist on a last minute emergency request. Dr. Praj helped with my sensitive tooth and explained everything to me so that I could understand what was happening and what my options were. Then she treated my sensitive tooth with ozone and it immediately fixed the issue! Every dentist should have ozone for teeth cleaning in their office! The ambiance of the office feels more like a yoga studio or day spa instead of a cold medical practice. they give you a neck pillow and a nice essential oil mouthwash before you sit in the chair. Dr. Praj was very patient and has such a nice bedside manner. She answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. i look forward to my next visit!
