The assistant was so patient and helpful in helping our son (who has anxiety in new/medical environments). She successfully took his first ever x-rays, and was able to do a full cleaning!!! I really appreciate the extra effort given to help my son (and me) have a positive experience with an appointment that is usually difficult.

My oldest went to him years ago, and with my youngest I was hesitant to take him anywhere because he is scared of any medical-type setting. His first appointment went AMAZING and he’s been telling everyone how brave he is because the dentist is “not so scary!” I am so glad. Staff was all amazing as well!

Second appointment 6 mo later: they are just the nicest over here and let us reschedule without charge just a couple hours before our appointment when my daughter kept having nosebleeds. Experiencia negativa: Took my daughter in to have her tooth checked. Receptionist and dental assistant were great. The Dr. on the other hand was super rude. Spent probably 2 minutes examining my daughter didn’t even bother to make a thorough observation of her teeth. Seemed as he was even disgusted to touch her. Didn’t even let me ask any questions or reply to what he had said. He did state in a very rude way. That my observation of probably her having an infected tooth wasn’t valid. Absolute worst experience I have ever had. I will not be returning to that office again.

Experiencia negativa: It was my son's first ever dentist appointment and he was really nervous and scared. I only wanted to see if he had cavities and I had talked to the receptionist before hand to see if they were going to do x-rays and she said no. I go in with my son and they took us to the x-ray room, then when we saw the dentist and I asked if my child could seat on my lap he said no so my child started to cry. When the appointment was over; the dentist came out and he made a face to the nurse, that was rude!! They didn't have an ounce of empathy for my son. Also it seemed that they wanted money only because the receptionist wanted me to sign papers for the operation of fixing 8 cavities at the same time and they didn't even ask me if I wanted the procesure to be done.They only wanted me to sign the papers. I will never go back to them. They claim they work with children but have no patience or empathy.

Their office is beautiful and the doctor always does a great job. They have tv’s above the dental chair and they give the kids headphones so it helps distract them while the work is being done. 10/10 recommend.

Experiencia negativa: Honestly, they are super nice and I felt like they were very thorough…. My only issue was when we went in for my daughter’s filling, the doctor decided that the tooth next to it also needed a filling. I was sitting right there the whole time and nothing was ever discussed with me. They just did it and then expected me to pay for it after. It was just frustrating to me to not be consulted beforehand. I would’ve said yes. It’s the principle for me. It would’ve taken 10 seconds to ask me first.

Experiencia negativa: I would stay far away from Dr. Bower . All his is interested in is extracting teeth and not fixing the teeth and making the teens look like they don’t have confidence. They just leave them without confidence. I would not recommend this place. He has a horrible bedside manner doesn’t talk to you doesn’t talk to you about the teeth or what they’re going to even do he just goes and does it I would not recommend taking your special needs kids here ever. I am not surprised that he has three bad Google reviews as of this week that needs to say something about him and his office

Experiencia negativa: Ahem, this one dentist was being quite weird asking just my daughter questions and putting us aside. He was pretty much flirting with my daughter and I kind of felt disgusted about it. He did good with the service but he just needs to keep his flirtiness to himself and not ask my daughter to teach him stuff when all she’s there is to get her teeth cleaned. He could have asked other questions but not flirt with her.

Experiencia negativa: Disappointed in this group. When my son had to get some cavities filled, they gave me an original payment amount that I paid for in the office. A month later I get another bill for almost $100 more. After explaining the situation to staff, they were uninterested in helping resolve the issue. Will not be coming back.

Experiencia negativa: We wanted to try a new dentist office and we’re hopeful with this one. The hygienist were nice. We saw Dr. Bower who wasn’t very friendly to me as the parent, like didn’t introduce himself or an handshake or anything as we were new patients. Maybe he was having a long day I don’t know. After kinda ignoring me and just chatting with the assistant he told me he wanted to pull nine of my daughter’s teeth! She’s six years old. We went to another dentist to get a second opinion who said only two of them needed to really be removed. That kind of extensive, intrusive work is just crazy to me that he would want to take her top four teeth and top four bottom teeth out as well, so she would have absolutely no way to chew food for the next couple years? Not conservative at all. He didn’t explain much or give me any options other than just extracting all of her teeth. We won’t be coming here again!

Experiencia negativa: I’m very disappointed with this pediatric dental office. Many children get out of school around 4 p.m., yet they never have appointments available after school hours. They don’t open on Saturdays, and kids have to miss school just to see the dentist. My children have been patients here for a long time, but the office no longer accommodates school schedules. It feels very unprofessional not to offer flexibility for families. On top of that, the waiting list for a 4 p.m. appointment is more than 2–3 months. Very disappointing experience.

Experiencia negativa: Not the place if you have a child with a disability / special needs. We took our two daughters here. Our typical child had a great experience--no complaints whatsoever. We asked about a cleaning for our daughter with a disability, and they said they worked with children with disabilities all the time, and that we should give it a shot. They forwent the x-rays, and were unable to do the official cleaning due her reaction, which is totally fine and not their fault. The DA took out her gift plastic toothbrush and did a super quick dry brush on her teeth (isn't that what we do at home, but with toothpaste?). Then the dentist came in and did a very quick look in her mouth while we held her arms and legs down (again, not their fault). He ran his finger across her teeth with some fluoride as fast as possible since our daughter was not cooperating, and said as far as he could see, things looked normal, but they wouldn't know anything without an x-ray. He also said any future cleanings or work would likely be done at Primary Children's Hospital while sedated. And that was that. We got to checkout, and cost for her was $120 (self-employed, no dental insurance). We were pretty surprised but didn't say anything at checkout. I called later to ask if there was anything that could be done about the charge, since they really didn't do anything other than fluoride (which is free at our pediatrician) and a very quick exam. And compared to my other daughter who got a full cleaning and exam, the cost was the same. They explained the actual cost wasn't $120, but was much higher and that they gave us an "intro rate." She said the cost of fluoride + an exam far exceeds the $120. No further help or explanation given. In retrospect, I wish they would’ve stopped the consultation once they realized it wouldn’t work, and recommended us to the hospital instead of proceeding with a consultation that provided no help or insight. Not trying to bypass what someone is owed, but this just didn't feel right. More surprised they didn’t recognize that.

It was my daughter's very first dental visit and she was feeling a little anxious, but they were absolutely wonderful and quickly helped her feel at ease! Experiencia fantástica: This was the best experience at a dentists office I've ever been to! We went for my son's very first dentist appointment and he felt super comfortable there. Super kid friendly! I appreciated that the hygienist walked him through everything they were doing and even let him touch the tools with his finger before she used them in his mouth. We also loved the ocean theme, the arcade room, the kid headphones for watching a movie, and tokens for getting a prize at the end! My son was so excited, he already can't wait to go back!

Experiencia negativa: Check with your “general dentist” before seeing a pediatric dentist. We found ours to be almost half the price (smart $240 a year for 2 cleanings and X-rays, ours- Dr Callister $150 a year for 2 cleanings and X-rays)!! We’ve seen smart dentistry for 12 years but will be making the switch since self-pay pricing has gotten too expensive!
