Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday morning, Dr. Matt Gietzen, DDS, served me exceptionally well as he administered procedures to prepare certain of my teeth for crown and bridge replacement in a few more weeks. He was assisted by Monica, RDA, who also served me extremely well. Both of them had kind and gracious communication and gave very clear and useful instructions to me during the procedures. Since becoming a new client at Partners in Dental Care in December of 2023, I have been delighted with every person I have met at Partners in Dental Care, as well as the outdoor and indoor environment, the indoor decor, the offices of service, and all services provided. My husband and I, both octogenarians, moved to a new area of Grand Rapids, MI, a bit over a year ago, and eventually decided we needed to find new dental services closer to where we live now, rather than than our old place of service which was much further away, because our growing maladies of aging made travel more difficult. So now, I very much look forward to all my future appointments with Dr. Gietzen, and to interactions with varied Assistants, as well as to interactions with other workers at Partners in Dental Care. Experiencia fantástica: Went here in referral from friends. I have had severe dental anxiety and this place is helping me get through it. John and Aubrey are incredibly kind and caring. I’ve been to a lot of dentists and this had hands down been my best experience. They did quite a bit of work on my mouth from crowns to cavities and every time called me after to check in on me. They are compassionate and do a very good job of helping prevent cavities and future issues with fluoride, prescription toothpaste. Their technology is also very updated when it comes to scans and screenings. An efficient practice seen on time also, payments very up front, scheduling easy.

When I say that, it comes from my heart. They came to see my mother while she was passing. They took care of my blind and deaf father during his last days as well. Treating them with the upmost dignity and heart felt love as if they were there parents. We my family greatly appreciated that. I just returned home after a root canal Dr. Dial absolutely did such a pain free, perfect job on my tooth. I'm very happy. Also I here people say we'll They maybe to expensive. I went to another doctor and they told me that I didn't need that done. One thing those dentists don't tell you about !!! I is what Partners in Dental care Professionally see as a Good Dentist should be looking for. Partners she's future problems that will be coming up. Experiencia fantástica: Excellent cleaning and exam. I mentioned I started the keto diet and was concerned about bad breath. They gave me a tip. They suggested I try a tongue scraper. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Then they gave me a plastic one to try it out and suggested I switch to a metal one eventually. That was thoughtful and helpful. It’s the little things like that I appreciate so much about this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to go in recently to fix a broken tooth in my upper denture, due to a car accident. I went there and within minutes they had it sent out to the lab for overnight service. I got it back the next day. It was all very easy, simple and fast!!

Experiencia negativa: I am a patient with a documented disability involving severe dental anxiety, which I disclosed when I became a patient of Dr. Shawn Dial at Partners in Dental Care. Despite assurances of accommodations, I personally experienced challenges with my care and customer service. The day before my first crown appointment, my father suffered a stroke. Despite this, I attended the appointment and became very emotional due to anxiety and concern for my father. During the appointment, Dr. Dial remarked, “Wow, you must have had very traumatic experiences in the past,” and later suggested medication for my next visit. I also told her I have an emotional support animal that helps me manage anxiety. Two days before my permanent crown appointment, my temporary crown cracked. I was told over the phone that Dr. Matt could place the permanent crown since Dr. Dial was unavailable. When I arrived, he told me he would not finish someone else’s work, which surprised me because I had been told earlier that he could. I requested an accommodation to avoid repeating the stressful experience, but it was not provided, and he placed another temporary crown. I returned two days later, and Dr. Dial placed the permanent crown. During this visit, I explained that my emotional reaction during the first visit was partly due to my father’s medical emergency, which I described to her in detail. She acknowledged my situation and distress. Two days before Christmas, I received a letter from Dr. Dial terminating my care, which had not been discussed in person despite seeing her the week prior. Receiving this notice caused me emotional distress over the holidays. The letter also mentioned that Partners in Dental Care provides only a 30-day guarantee of their work, which I found below typical expectations. Additionally, I observed staff interactions and billing practices that I personally found unprofessional and stressful. For example, patients are asked to pay immediately after each visit, before insurance is billed. I also observed staff chatter and eye rolls behind the front desk in situations that seemed dismissive toward patients, including an elderly individual using a mobility aid. Based on my experience, I would not personally recommend Dr. Dial or Partners in Dental Care. I have included a photo of the letter from Dr. Dial terminating my care, with personal information redacted for privacy.

The staff at Partners in Dental Care are always smiling and helpful, and Dr Matt is the perfect example of why. He's professional and intelligent and makes you feel comfortable in "the chair." He's great with kids, too, and really talks to them at their level. He explains things easily, and addresses any concerns brought up.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient of this dental group for over 40 years. I originally was a patient of Dr John Cook at the old office. After he retired, I saw Dr Vanderkolk and while he was working overseas, I saw Dr Dial. This office has some kind of screening process that only allows the proverbial best of the best of the best. Additionally all the staff are incredibly kind people. The hygienist (s) and dental assistants are a wonderful group. I have never had a bad experience in any way shape or form. I really don’t like having my teeth worked on and I am VERY particular about where I will go to have dental work done. This is the only place I will consider going. I am so comfortable with this office that I will allow anyone who works there to see me and take care of me. I should also mention that I have had several dental emergencies over the last 40 years and several times they actually called staff in and met me on a weekend to take care of me!!!!!! I consider myself very fortunate to live in a country with great medical care and in West Michigan where Partners in Dental care is located.
