Experiencia fantástica: Had a dental emergency, the office got me in right away. Dr Parvin assured me that she would be able to treat the problem and she did. She is my regular dentist and I would recommend her to everyone.

Experiencia negativa: Do not come here!! They told me that they "accept" all insurances, but didn't tell me that they didn't "partner" with my insurance. They asked for a $1000 deposit and charged me almost $800 for an assessment and removal of two crowns. They finally refunded my two hundred and some $$ back, after many phone calls. Not a comfortable atmosphere, although the receptionist was nice.

Experiencia negativa: We do love Dr Parvin. Have loved this office for years but I think that's coming to an end. Getting appointments is ridiculous. Calling & leaving messages with no return calls. The new guy at check in desk is very rude and has an attitude every time we come in. His "too bad so sad" attitude is down right horrible. I miss the lady that worked the desk. For someone that rude to be the first interaction is a big turn off. He is the main reason my family might be going elsewhere!

I was greeted by a very nice gentleman that took time from his busy day to listen to what I was there for as I was noticing there was something very different from any other dental office that I’ve been in. Every staff member that noticed me smiled at me and acknowledged I was there. I had been dealing with a painful tooth for quite awhile without luck in getting in anywhere. So I asked if they were taking new patients and they were. So today was my appointment…BEST dental experience I’ve EVER had. They made me feel at ease, pain free, cared for and educated. My appointment was even a bit of learning and my tech nerd thought at one point I thought it would be an amazing place to work. Great people, amazing Dr and cool tech. Get an appointment! You will not regret it Oh and I received a call to check on me!

They made this uncomfortable and scary experience into a pleasant (as pleasant as a filling can be haha) and comfortable experience. They did an amazing job as well, very minimal pain or discomfort.

Experiencia negativa: They pressured me into getting the treatment for gum disease for $600 for half of my mouth. Funny story, after not having been at the dentist for 9 months, the new dentist says that both sides of my mouth have the same amount of pockets. Seems like if I have the special treatment that 1 side would be significantly reduced from the other. Also, my pockets are 1's and 2's, where at the office my 5's and 6's were going to cause me to lose all of my teeth. But really getting talked into that was my fault. When my crown fell off twice and tgey suggested that I get a new crown, I had no idea that it wouldn't be covered under insurance, of course they didn't know either. But when I received the bill for $1300 and asked that the bill be lowered due to the circumstances, the answer was no. Even though insurance would have only paid a portion of it, they couldn't extend that courtesy to me. I had myself and 3 daughters coming to your office every 6 months without fail for 4 years and when we didn't come back, no one even asked if everything was all right.

Experiencia fantástica: Another great visit today with Dr Parvin and co - the Coastal Smile Design office is very clean and has a spa like atmosphere. Both of my teenagers had their teeth cleaned and their pearly whites look amazing. Dr Parvin checked for cavities, evaluated their jaw muscles to check for TMJ and reinforced to them that you should only floss the teeth that you want to keep. ;0) My husband and I also are under her care and I couldn’t recommend this practice more highly.

Experiencia negativa: Our whole family went there for cleaning as soon as this place opened after COVID. To our surprise everyone was diagnosed with periodontitis and forced us first to get frequent cleanings and then unnecessary scaling. When we went back to our old dentistry sure enough not only we did not have periodontitis but we did NOT even have GINGIVITIS! The hygienist that was doing the cleaning was very rough! She would poke so hard at gums and make them bleed. She would also floss too hardy and deep at roots and then show the blood on the floss to us as proof that our problem was so bad! When she said that my 15 year old had periodontitis and needed scaling we knew that it’s not right. We went back to our old place, compared our X-rays from 2019 with recent ones and sure enough there was no sign of periodontitis. This place is scam! Beware!

Dr. Parvin and her assistant Christine saw me; did a series of x-rays and with a gentle evaluation - she diagnosed an infection, started me on a regimen of antibiotics and pain control and referred me to another provider for treatment for my situation. I have another appointment to follow up with Dr. Parvin's group for a complete dental care plan. They were kind, caring, gentle and I look forward to going to the dentist for the first time in my life!

Dr Parvin is a wonderful dentist, she's very warm and friendly, and always listens to any concern we have. While my son was in collage, on a Saturday night, while at a party, he had one of his front teeth knock out. Actually is was broken in half. I called the after hours number and spoke to Dr Parvin and she had him come to her office on a Sunday and fixed his tooth, He didn't miss a day of college. She is truly a wonderful dentist and shows that she cares about her patients.

My lasts few visits have been to see if I have a gum problem on the gum area above my left eye tooth..and she has been so caring about that and is determined to fix it...all my visits have been good. Everyone I interacted with treated me like a human being and took time to make sure I was comfortable and understood what was going on. They have heated massage chairs yall. Tell me you don't want to go sit in a heated massage chair while at the dentist! I know that sounds silly but I mention it to give you an indication of the thought and effort put in by Dr Karen Parvin and her team at Coastal Smile. I would give Shaana and Dr Parvin more stars if I could. Instead I will just be a happy and healthy patient which is what I was looking for in the first place. I will absolutely never see a different dentist. If I was able to give her an endless amount of stars, I would. You will absolutely never find another dentist that will provide this level of care.. and while doing so, she will make you feel as though you have known her for years. Hands down, the best in the area... and probably on this coast.

Experiencia fantástica: I have never had a more personable dentist in my entire life. Three days before leave the country for a vacation my gums started to bleed and to come off! I called and Dr.Parvin was out of the office and one of the techs said she would take a look! I’m so impressed with how much they care! Then she called two dentist offices who Dr.Parvin trusts to get me to see someone to just make sure! I live on Shore Drive and it is definitely worth the drive! I’m not going anywhere

The hygienists go above and beyond to make sure that I always completely understand what is going on with my oral health. All the staff do an impeccable job at making me feel comfortable and respected. Paula is an asset to Coastal Smile Design. She always has a smile on and you can feel that positivity every time you talk to her in person or on the phone. Dr. Parvin's practice is a soothing experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a new patient appointment today at Coastal Smile Design. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful first impression. The office was nice and clean. I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail in examining and charting my teeth by the hygienist. She explained everything she was doing and why. I was also impressed watching her clean and sanitize the equipment immediately after she finished with me. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with Dr. Karen Parvin. We discussed my treatment plan and she did not pressure me in any way on how or when to proceed. She was very reassuring. She did a very thorough examination of my teeth and also checked the tightness along my jawline and head for TMJ, explaining everything as she was examining me. I am usually very stressed at a dentist office but each step in the appointment was very relaxing. Great experience!!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to this dentist after a year of not having dental work done. I have a horrible fear of dentists as well as generalized Anxiety disorder, but right from the start the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. But the best part was my hygienist noticed I was shaking and brought me a blanket, then laid the X-ray vest on it to create a weighted blanket. It calmed my anxiety right down. The dentist was also so nice. They both reassured me that even though I do need quite a lot of work done, they were there to make me feel as safe as possible. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone!

Check-in was quick and easy and I was greeted with a smile and warm welcome from the office manager and Dr. Parvin. Jennifer did an excellent job explaining every procedure and was thorough and gentle with her exam. Dr. Parvin spent unrushed time with me and helped me feel calm and confident with the recommended treatment. If following visits go as well as this one, I will have finally found a dentist I can see myself staying with and recommending to friends and family.

Experiencia fantástica: My 4 year old son had a small cavity that needed to be filled. The whole procedure was performed without a tear. Doctor and staff took ample time to ensure my son was comfortable and all of my questions were answered. I have terrible TMJ problems, and Dr. Parvin makes sure I'm as pain free as possible during dental procedures, even stopping to let my jaw rest, and massaging the joints. I can't say enough good things about this practice. From the front office, all the way back, the best experience you can have going to the dentist. Highly recommend.

Experiencia positiva: I went into this dental office for a consult and examination. Dr. Parvin and her dental hygienist was exceptional. Her receptionist Paula could have better customer service. I called to reschedule my second appointment because of a unexpected schedule conflict. Paula's response was one that was less than accommodating. She was nice until I wanted to reschedule. She appeared as if I was inconviencing her. I just cancelled my appointment all together since rescheduling was bothersome for her. This is unfortunate because I like Dr. Parvin.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Parvin is a great dentist with an exceptional bedside manner. She and her team are friendly and really go above and beyond to make nervous patients (like me) feel at ease. Dr. Parvin talked me through my treatment plan from start to finish, including various options. Throughout my procedure, she made sure I was comfortable and didn’t need to take any breaks. Coastal Smile Design includes many amenities, like heated massage chairs and televisions in the treatment areas, as well as video games in the waiting room. Dental health is important and I trust the team at Coastal Smile Design. I look forward to being a patient of Dr. Parvin for many years to come.

Experiencia fantástica: The best dentist I have ever had! Very thorough exam which includes measuring the depth of the gums and feeeling the neck to screen for cancer. I have never had a dentist that goes above and beyond and completes a cancer screening. The state of the art equipment such as a coardless polisher and hand held x-ray machine make the exam and cleaning easier. The exam rooms have TVs that can be positioned for easy viewing while having your exam or procedure and the massaging and heated chaires are a plus! If I could give higher than 5 stars I would all thanks to Dr. Parvin and staff.
