Experiencia positiva: Yesterday I had a dental cleaning and I was not told by Dr. Cetnar or the dental hygienist that I had a cavity. Dr. Cetnar did mention a gap between my tooth and gum, however, I never heard him mention a cavity. After I checked out, the dental hygienist called my mom back to speak to her and tells my mom that I have a cavity. I am not mentally incapacitated, only physically incapacitated. I am fine with my mother being told of any problems as she is the one who has to drive me to appointments, but please do not leave me out of the loop. They called me shortly after that & led me to the room where I got up in the Dentist's Chair. The Assistant was very steady in cleaning my teeth & she was explaining which teeth would need taking care of. The Dentist came in & checked my teeth & explained as well. They told me I had to show them proof for their own promotion, spent a total of 3 minutes on google, and proceeded to tell me this did not exist. I left when they told me they would not honor the promotion and was then sent a bill for $100. Prepare to be bait and switched and made to bring proof here. This was handled very poorly.

Dr. Cetnar's exceptional bedside manner and thorough explanations of my treatment plan have instilled a renewed sense of confidence. The practice also demonstrates remarkable flexibility in accommodating scheduling adjustments, providing convenient text message reminders. I am thoroughly impressed with their services and intend to remain a patient throughout my residency in South Carolina. The entire team, including Princetta, who consistently provides a polite and personalized greeting, delivers first-class assistance.

Experiencia negativa: I really wanted to like this place. It’s a new facility and so convenient to my home. Unfortunately, they have a lot to improve on. My husband went in for a cleaning and he was told they needed to drill his tooth and have a temporary fill, which had to be replaced twice within the week because it kept falling out. The permanent is in place now but he said the original dentist was clearly distracted; on and off her phone, total disregard to bedside manners. He knew instantly something was wrong after his initial temp fill. I have taken my daughter and myself when they first opened and there were no issues with service but billing for some reason has not been resolved and it’s been over a year. They have sent me the same bill at least ten times and each time they call or I have to call to let them know I have spoken with them about this several times and they acknowledge every time that they have to do a federal Humana coding and not to worry about it. But like clockwork, I get the same bill and same follow up call from them a few days later and have to go through the same conversation lol.

She judged me and said “Oh Wow!!!” When looking at my X-rays…. I will not be returning. Ruined my experience. Minimal communication, very heavy handed, very abrupt and has no bed side manner. Extremely unprofessional and she made me uncomfortable.

Experiencia negativa: I went to this dental office several times over a few years. I've ALWAYS had a problem with their billing. They also charged me an insane amount of money for a service that didn't even resolve my issue without even telling me it might not. They charge fees for things they should not (e.g. I broke a crown and went to get it fixed and the dr took one look and said "i can't fix that, you need to see an endodontist" and then charged me for an exam/cleaning). The straw that broke the camel's back for me was getting billed for something I should not have and I reached out to get it sorted. I asked for itemized invoice so I could get it sorted with the insurance company. They'd say "we'll get that over to you" and never do it and a month or so later I'd get another bill. I'd call and ask for it again, rinse and repeat. They finally stopped contacting me about it so I thought they got it figured out. NOPE. Turns out they sent me to collections. I will absolutely be fighting it and I will never be back. This is what you get when you go to a dentist owned by a for profit corporation. Do yourself a favor and got to a single (or maybe two) dentist owned office. Steer clear of these corporate money grabbers!

Experiencia negativa: DECREASED HEALTH FROM ANXIETY Normally I’m not one to leave reviews and am only doing so now because of the stress this office has placed on my family. I’ve listed our grievances for quick overview: 1. EXTRA UNECCESSARY WORK done; some of which did not transfer to the next dentist, and I was charged for. Explained more in point 5. 2. UNABLE TO FIGURE INSURANCE in the beginning and claimed they needed the full extraordinarily high payment from me and would reimburse me for overpayment later. 3. UNWILLING TO DO PAYMENT PLAN. After insurance settled with them, they would not set up a payment plan with me so that I would not miss a payment. 4. SENT TO COLLECTIONS WITHOUT WARNING. I started paying them monthly and missed one payment and they sent me to collections without warning (last paid in May, missed June payment, in collections by July). Now I owe +$500 for the collections fee! 5. $TRUNG ME ALONG for what seemed like a cash grab. While in the office they offered more than I needed. They told me the Dr. highly recommended extra cleaning and other things that insurance would not cover. Highly suggestive language made me think it must be done, when as a trusting new patient who was in pain, I agreed to. They sent me to an endodontist (who required more x-rays, see point 1) and then told me to come back to them for post op work which the endodontist was capable of and did. My new dentist has never made such suggestions, which in hindsight made me realize that these dentists were gouging me and padding their services to get more money. Their response to these allegations from others has been, “Professional excellence is important to us, which means our patients’ needs are always our first priority”. Excellence should be more than the oral needs of your patients. Consider your patients’ whole well-being by not charging too much and offering services that may not be absolutely needed. Going to the dentist is stressful enough, but this office has added more anxiety to our lives, and honestly I am still feeling pain when I floss between the teeth they worked on. 6. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANOTHER DENTIST. Do your research and trust reviews such as this one before choosing a dentist. We now have an extra $500 tacked on to what we owe, when I was making payments (missed one). Their policy seems to be, get as much money from the patient as you can and settle with insurance later. From the very first meeting at the front desk, they ask for payment in full, before any services had been administered. No other fields require payment before you get what you need! At restaurants I pay after my meal. Contractors working on my house charge me after the work is done. When I do work for someone, I don’t require full payment before I do the work. The medical field is the only field that does this. Trust the professionals that are considerate of your whole well-being not only what they are professing.

Experiencia negativa: Crowns aren’t made on site, a couple weeks later after temp falling out, still left with sensitivity months later, constant upselling cosmetics vs focus on cleaning and maintenance. Leave after a cleaning not feeling clean. Go elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Dental Care on West Ashley and warn all future potential customers to be wary before visiting. My husband is a current patient at Dental Care on West Ashley and loved his experience. His first visit included X-rays and a cleaning. When I arrived, after already completing the online paperwork, I was asked to sign documents that were not shared with me at any point. The signature pad was on the desk and the woman checking me in told me what the documents were. That was the first red flag as being asked to sign something without getting to read it, or getting a copy of it, is not common practice. Another woman who I incorrectly assumed was a hygienist took me into the back. She clearly had not read my new patient forms and was not aware I was pregnant. She said they would be doing X-rays so I asked if I needed to wear any protective gear as I am pregnant. She didn't know and I had to wait a while while she tried to find a Doctor who was available or someone who would know. This was the another red flag. After having an initial review of my teeth and some photos taken by the main Doctor, he left. The same woman who brought me into the back said she would "go look for a hygienist to see what kind of cleaning I would need." Third red flag that the Doctor 1 - hadn't told her, and 2 - no one seemed to be around, 3 - she herself wasn't even the hygienist, and 4 - why was I being treated like I walked in off the street without an appointment? When she returned she asked me what my schedule looked like on Monday and if I could come back for a cleaning then because all the hygienists were busy. I was shocked and told her I had made an appointment for a cleaning today. She informed me that she too thought it was strange, as she was from NJ and never had that experience in her life BUT "new patients do not get a cleaning on the first visit and that I better make an appointment soon for a cleaning because they're booked for weeks." I was shocked as she said she would be back and left the room. After being left in the back for quite a while while this woman went to talk to someone about scheduling, I knew I just needed to leave. I walked out to the main desk, where this non-hygienist was just looking at the computer, and asked for everything to be cancelled immediately as my experience was completely unacceptable. She immediately just pointed at a different woman at the front desk and walked away. That receptionist told me I should have been told that a new patient appointment "doesn't guarantee a cleaning that day, and they would charge me for any services provided." She asked if I booked the appointment online - as if I had somehow signed myself up for this knowingly. I informed her I was never told by any of the multiple people I spoke with (via Phone, NOT online) that a teeth cleaning "may not" or "would not" be included in the first visit, I was not told this when I arrived, this was not the experience my husband had, and that nothing was actually done today she said she would mark my visit as cancelled. The complete lack of communication about what a "new patient appointment" may consist of, inconsistency of messages from employees, lack of knowledge about the profession and patient conditions/care, pressure to book return appointments, inadequate response to concern, and lack of care for the customer experience was out of control. The whole experience felt like a financial scam and not a dental practice. My husband and I will not be returning here.

The dentist is so traumatic for me due to previous bad experiences, but Dr. Morgan and her team do absolutely everything they can to make me feel more comfortable and to make the experience as relaxed as possible. The dentist is never fun, but I leave confident that the best care is being given to me and my teeth with Dr. Morgan!! Bonus points to the practice for also being flexible with billing, as dental care can be very expensive.

Experiencia positiva: Dental Care on Ashley Circle was by far the nicest dentist office I have ever been to. The building itself is immaculate with what appears to be newly renovated features, sterile in smell/appearance/etc. The staff were also top tier when it came to respect, friendliness, and calming your nerves. My only complaint is that I am a new patient and went for my first appointment only to find out after the initial X-rays and exam that I would have to come back for a cleaning because scheduling a ‘new patient’ appointment is different from a ‘cleaning appointment’. I now have to go back for a second time two weeks later to get an actual cleaning. Of the 6 different dentists I’ve been to in my life, I’ve never had a dentist have me sign up for separate appointment times in order to get teeth cleaned.

Experiencia negativa: I had my first preventive visit with Dental Care on Ashley Circle. Before going there, I asked to check with my insurance to see if the services were covered, and I was assured that they should be covered at 100 %. They performed a full mouth X-ray during the visit, which should not be done more frequently than every three years to avoid unnecessary radiation burden and harm. I had this X-ray done elsewhere previously, but the dental office did not inform me that they planned to repeat this test, nor did they obtain my consent or inquire about my prior records. After the visit, they charged me for the X-ray, and my insurance did not cover it. Additionally, they recommended a very expensive deep cleaning, which I politely declined. Following that, they limited my treatment options and pressured me to undergo a treatment that is not recommended by guidelines. I sought a second opinion from another dentist, who provided all the preventive services in accordance with the guidelines, which were fully covered by my insurance. Now they are pursuing me with collector company. I would recommend to avoid this place and I will never return back.

Experiencia negativa: I saw one dentist who recommended fillings. Came in and was surprised by a new different dentist was there to do the work. I had a lot of pain afterwards so I went back in. Then, after multiple bite adjustments and further x-rays, I finally had enough and went to a totally different dental practice who then discovered that they had dislodged an old filling and allowed decay to spread. I will need a root canal. I don't recommend. Its possible to have the old filling dislodged during work, but the practice didn't advise anything about repair of it despite new onset pain and continuous complaints. EDIT: Just had to have another filling redone by a different dentist and they discovered the resin was not cured leading to continued pain and sensitivity. 0/5 do not get work done here.

I called Wednesday morning complaining of a toothache they saw me that afternoon and had a procedure scheduled the next morning for 8 am. While I was not planning on having the procedure it had to be done. Every single person there was so kind and helpful and put me at such ease. The dentist was so kind and explained everything that was going on and made sure I was comfortable. If you get nervous seeing the dentist ( or even if you don’t) I can’t recommend this place enough!

Experiencia negativa: I really hate that I to give a bad review because I wanted so badly to enjoy this dentist. I moved to Charleston and revived one of there PROMO codes for a discounted cleaning on my first trip. I haven’t been to the dentist in a while so I decided to go. After filling out my paper work, I was taken back. I found the dental assistant to be quite rude and abrasive with the conversation she made. She was also extremely rough. I informed her she was hurting me a few times, and she claimed that the force was necessary. I normally have a good pain tolerance, but this was almost bringing me to tears. After the cleaning, the dentist comes in to speak to me. He said i had two cavities, and that I should come in for a consultation on my wisdom teeth. I asked if I could get anything done about the cavity’s today, or see someone for a consultation, and they informed me I had to come a separate day. So I go to pay, and they don’t take my insurance, which is fine, but come to find out I am getting charged for a deep cleaning instead of the regular cleaning. The dental assistant said I needed it. While I’m sure she was being truthful, I think it’s kinda important to inform a customer before you change the service that ups the price to over 100$. But I paid and left with the plan to come back for my consultation. About a week later I come back. They take me back, and I don’t even sit in the chair. I’m in the room for 5 minutes, when the dentist comes back, looks at my X-rays from a previous appointment, writes the name of a different clinic and gives it to me. He says “he can’t do anything because of the way they are coming through, and to call them.” That was fine, it was quick and I appreciated the honesty. But I get to the desk to get my paper work, and they charge me 100$!!! When I wasn’t even touched or sat down in a chair!! It’s absolutely ridiculous, I asked what the charge was for and they said it was for “there knowledge of the doctors in the area. “ I could have GOOGLED. Surgeons, and paid THEM for a consultation. As much as I want to give a good review, this place has been staffed with people who are mostly rude and don’t care for any customers service, and feels more like a cash grab than a real dental office

Experiencia positiva: Always friendly. But each time I make an appointment, I'm always being called the day before to to move the appointment up 30 minutes, every single time. Example: I had an appointment on July 11th. Upon arrival, I was informed that they would have to reschedule because it was not exactly 6 months from my last visit and my insurance would not cover it. So, I rescheduled for August 9th @ 11:30A. Then on July 29th, I received a text message and call asking if I could come earlier at 11A on August 9th instead of 11:30A. Advised the receptionist that I could not, as that day had already been planned. I was then told on August 7th that my August 9th appointment would have to be rescheduled as there would be no dentists in the office that day. So the appointment was changed to August 23rd at 11A. This can become extremely frustrating since I'm not the one giving them these dates. The office is offering these dates and times as if they're available. I just wish when an appointment is made, I have the assurance that it will be kept on the office side. Outside of that, I have no other issues. The staff are all friendly and kind, just would love for them to figure out their appointment system.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Wade is polite, efficient, and his staff are great. Their office is comfortable and uses advanced technology options. I recommend "DC on AC" to my friends and family.

Experiencia fantástica: Fairly new to the area. I had a crown that fell off so went searching for provider in my area. My BFF recommended Dental Care. They were amazing first with phone call to dentist who was able to recement my crown. Because of change in their schedule I was able to go in for new patient visit the next day. Was so thankful that I didn't have to wait a long time to be seen!!

Experiencia fantástica: Extremely friendly staff. As a Marine, it was nice to learn that Dr. Catoe served in the Army! Made be feel like the good old days in the service. My appointment started right on time and no waiting.

Experiencia fantástica: Becca is the most thorough, thoughtful and professional dental hygienist I’ve ever seen! Dr. Morgan Wade is also amazing. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a complete and seamless dental experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I am so happy that I found this dental group! They are very thorough in their work, and everyone is very nice. The atmosphere is positive, and the office and exam rooms are spotlessly clean and sanitized. They play uplifting music in the background. They seem to take a variety of insurances.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience today! I have always had dental anxiety and the dentist and technician I saw were both so kind. During the procedure I felt absolutely no pain. It was very quick and has definitely made me feel more confident about visiting the dentist. 10/10 would recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I had the best dental experience of my life yesterday at Dental Care on Ashley Circle. As background, I was incredibly nervous about my dental appointment as I had neglected to go to the dentist for quite some time. That said, I quickly felt at ease as soon as I walked through their door. Everyone—from the receptionist to the dental hygienist to the dentist himself (Dr. Hamilton)—made me feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. For instance, I never once felt ashamed or embarrassed that I hadn’t seen a dentist in years. Instead, everyone was enthusiastic that I had “taken the first step,” by being there yesterday. Moreover, they explained every detail throughout my examination and x-rays, so I could relax and fully understand my care plan at the end of the visit. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dental Care on Ashley Circle. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !!!

Experiencia fantástica: First time there, wonderful Dentist. People are friendly, probably one of the best teeth cleaning jobs ever had. Put a cap on tooth that was done so well and professional. Would highly recommend this Dentist office!!!! I am a tough customer and they completely satisfied me!

Experiencia fantástica: I am more than pleased. You have an incredibly excellent practice. My wife and I were warmly greeted and welcomed int the practice. The environment was very soothing and professional st the same time. Eva, my hygienist, was very personable, professional and thorough. She explained each part of the procedure , my status and treatment needed. I feel very comfortable with her and pleased as well as fortunate to have her as my hygienist. She has an excellent touch. My examination by Dr. Huera(?) who is temping went very smoothly and I believe he would be a welcome addition to the practice if he stays. Excellent bedside manners to match her professionalism. Heather did an excellent job explaining my treatment plan and in managing the insurance business. I rate this practice specifically and generally 10/10. Experiencia fantástica: I'm a very nervous person going to the dentist. They were very nice and made me feel comfortable. Great staff and the DDS was great.

Experiencia negativa: I found the front desk staff to be rude, the billing department overcharged for services that took 4 months to provide reimbursement for (which I had to hound on), canceled my appts 3X while only having been a patient with them for a year. Do not recommend if you're looking for a reliable and caring dentist office.
