Experiencia fantástica: I had an excellent experience with Dr. Jordan and his nurse Ms.Courtney during my daughter’s tooth extraction. From the moment we walked in, they were incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. My daughter was understandably nervous, but Dr. Jordan took the time to explain everything in a gentle and friendly way that immediately put her at ease. The nurse Courtney was equally wonderful—very attentive, warm, and supportive throughout the entire process. She spoke to my daughter calmly and kept checking on her comfort, which made a huge difference. What really stood out was how they turned what could have been a stressful visit into a surprisingly positive and even enjoyable experience for my daughter. Their professionalism, compassion, and ability to connect with children are truly commendable. They even danced for my daughter’s fav album song. I’m very grateful for the care they provided, he even called me the evening to check on my daughter after her extraction and I would highly recommend Dr. Jordan and his team to any parent looking for a dentist who truly cares about their young patients.

Experiencia fantástica: We had such a great experience with Dr. Jordan and his team. My 3-year-old son was very scared to go to the dentist, so we were honestly unsure how the visit would go. The entire staff was incredibly patient and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Dr. Jordan has an amazing way with kids. Instead of rushing, he made my son feel comfortable and even encouraged him by making him feel like he was helping during the exam. To our surprise, my son actually let Dr. Jordan look in his mouth and left the appointment feeling proud of himself. The office is also very kid-friendly with lots of toys, books, and little prizes that helped make the whole experience fun rather than scary. We’re really grateful for such a positive first dental experience and would highly recommend Dr. Jordan and his team to any parents with young kids.

They stayed open late for us while we got to Cary and provided the absolute best experience. They were so kind and gentle with my daughter and turned a crappy experience into a positive one! She even asked if she could go back which is high praise for a 4 year old who is generally scared of the dentist. THANK YOU Carolina Dentistry for being truly exceptional! Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I brought our kids for their first appointment/cleaning. From the moment we walked in, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Both of the dental hygienists were so sweet and took good care of our kids. We have a one year old and three year old and they did amazing. Dr. Jenna was awesome.

The dentist checked on my son and patiently explained to my wife about her concern of my son's teeth. We were not charged for the unscheduled visit. I have to give them a 5 star.

Courtney did an EXCELLENT job of making sure my daughter felt good about her cleaning while also comforting her. My daughter also got to have Dr. Telin again and he was just amazing with her. Dr. Jess and his team have been nothing but wonderful in the past 22 months, from initial consultation, to cost estimate, to billing process, to regular appointments, to urgency care. Everyone that we met was professional and nice. It’s been a very pleasant journey for us and I’d recommend without any hesitation. A side note: I took a picture when my girl stepping into the waiting room for the last (knocking wood) visit this morning and I will miss this beautiful interior decor so much!

Experiencia fantástica: Dental staff was excellent with my 6 and 3 yr old. My 3 yr old was tentative but they had a 4 yr old therapy dog named Tucker who she (my daughter) absolutely loved. Dentists were very thorough and gave me all the necessary information regarding my kids teeth. Staff has always been super friendly and welcoming. We were also seen immediately and in/out in 15-20 min for both kids for an 8:30AM appointment. In past appointments I’ve experienced the same results. Great dental office for kids and adults - I go myself as well. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter just had her first appointment and other dentists have never even been able to look in her mouth because she is so resistant….but they were so wonderful here that she agreed to a full cleaning, and X-rays! She was very afraid of the X-ray but they were so patient and let her scream and cry until she was ready. Such good people and their level of patience is so amazing! If your child has a fear of the dentist go here and you won’t have a problem!

Experiencia positiva: The pediatric or children's care is actually on the ground floor and the far right door from the main entrance. Overall visit was good, in and out. Addressed all my concerns as a parent. Hygienist were good with the kids. The Dentist was friendly and warm and handled both my children. Better experience than most locations where it seems it takes forever and there's a lack of smoothness. Not here. They were prepared with paperwork. While signing off on work plan, took my concerns and questions. This was like a Nascar pit crew.

Prompt service, short wait times, friendly staff, professional and caring healthcare planning and execution, good communication (most docs allow for extensive parent questions), flexible, conveinient location w kids (non-aggressive) teeth cleanings and ortho/ braces services. conservative xray schedule and guilt-free flouride waivers. Limited parking. (Sometimes have to park in apt complex and walk so account for that time.) We have one done w braces and one mid-braces, one with wisdom teeth coming in and one w first big boy teeth coming in and have had good experiences and no cavities!!! Baby teeth hanging on too long and impacting braces progress removed with care and info/guidance so my teen could undertand what to expect, hear, sense during extraction made things calm and easy!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Jenna and the dental assistant (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name!) were wonderful with my son today. He has a deep fear of shots and any medical procedure. The assistant was incredibly calming and reassuring to him throughout the entire experience. They explained the process and helped get us through it smoothly. I really appreciate their patience while we go thru his appointment today. We have been a patient here for years and would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

April helped me get situated with any questions and concerns i had about getting braces for the first time She was super sweet and kind, a real gem. Experiencia fantástica: We adore Doctor Jenna and am so glad we found her after trying a couple of other well known practices in the area. She truly is an amazing person and professional. The way she talks to the kids puts them completely at ease, she has absolutely the best bedside? Chairside? manner of any healthcare professional I’ve ever seen. We have had some work done but find her far more conservative than other dentists we have been to. She also provides porcelain crowns if you’re looking for a more bio-compatible material in your child’s mouth. I 100% trust her and wish she saw moms too!

Experiencia fantástica: Very impressed with the level of care I received today. I went in simply to have my permanent retainer fixed after it began to poke me and the folks at Carolina Orthodontics were very helpful in not only fixing the issue very quickly but helping me decide what to do next. As a teen I went to a different large orthodontist in the area but I will be returning here in the future if the need arises. Oh, and the office is spacious and beautiful!

Experiencia fantástica: UPDATE: Just had to come here to sing praises once more. Came for a crown placement this morning and it was again a great experience!! They really listened to my son’s concerns of pain and made sure to use enough lidocaine/time to ensure it was easy on him. In the car on the way home, he said he wants to come back and see Dr. Jordan and Courtney again next week lol. They were SO sweet and patient with him, we jammed out to Drake (son’s pick lol) while Dr. Jordans amazing therapy pup, Tucker, sat by his side. This is the best peds practice around. Thanks to you both for making a difficult experience so much better… maybe too much better because now he wants to come back! Original Post: Wow. I can not speak highly enough of this entire practice and Dr. Erin!! My son notoriously doesn’t do well with the dentist and has a significant history. We have had to be fully sedated at the surgery center, etc. due to anxiety. He ended up needing a same day extraction with Dr. Erin and it was absolutely flawless. Their bedside manner here kept my son calm and they educated him and explained things in a way he could understand the whole time. No surprises. They are so careful to not surprise them and were very selective with gentle language. What I thought would be a super traumatic visit was a cake walk. The office is gorgeous and clean, everyone is so kind, and they took their time to show me X-rays and give treatment options. I felt completely comfortable with her judgement. Plus, he got dippin’ dots and to spin their birthday wheel! So lucky to have found this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: We typically go to the Apex location but needed a last minute visit for a chipped molar. I was hoping for quick treatment but was informed I had to start with an exam first and that it would take multiple appts. I was really nervous about how costly treatment may be and was immediately supported by Dr. Jordan and his assistant Kiana and reassured from the moment we were pulled back. Both my daughter and I felt comforted, relaxed, and enjoyed the visit. The team was fun to be around which eased anxiety greatly! They ended up being able to fit her in last minute with practically no wait and fixed a small filling the same day! I’m so grateful for the accommodations made that will help me avoid calling out of work more or her missing additional school! Would highly recommend this office and team!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Jenna did an amazing job extracting a baby tooth. My daughter (7) was very anxious and Dr Jenna put her at ease with her fun and silly approach. My girl didn’t even flinch during the administration of anesthesia as the two were discussing the colors of the most beautiful unicorn. The prospect of banana split ice cream afterwards was also helpful. We left happy and with no fear of returning for future procedures.

Dr. Jenna did a crown and filling on my four year old and he didn’t even know he got numbing shots.I can’t express just how impressed we were. We will be sticking with this office even if we move until they can’t treat him anymore. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and helping calm our nerves. Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic group! This is the second location we’ve visited in the triangle and I can say that as a whole, there is a genuine care for their patients and families. My child has severe anxiety about dental visits, and the Carolina team was so kind and explained everything that was going to happen in a very kid friendly way. Dr. Telin was wonderful. We had anticipated the need for a dental appliance at the visit, but upon further examination he found it wasn’t necessary. I truly appreciate his honesty in that regard. Cannot recommend this practice enough. 10/10 would tell anyone to give them a try. Thanks team for all you do!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has a severe phobia of needles/ shots and has a really hard time trusting new people. Dr. Jordan and Courtney made sure to not use the word “shot” and instead used “freezing her cheek”. Through her reluctance and tears they patiently helped calm her nerves, gave her a weighted turtle, played her favorite music, and tokens at the end for a good job. I’ve never had a healthcare team take so much time to make sure their patients are relaxed and can trust them before doing a procedure. Thanks so much to Dr. Jordan and Courtney!

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly staff and providers. My kids love going to the dentist thanks to the smooth experience they always have. They are excited to get their tokens and withdraw something small from the dispensing machine.

Experiencia negativa: While they are nice and we had no issues with cleanings, every sealant they have done for my daughter has cracked. While they will fix for free within the year, I have not had this happen with my other child who had a filling done at another pediatric dentist.

I was initially nervous because I did not think that my toddler would enjoy going to the dentist but Dr. Jordan is excellent with kids. When he sung “The Wheels on the Bus” he won my toddler over. My toddler had a great first experience at the dentist. Excited for my other little one to also have this experience. We will be back in 6 months.

Experiencia negativa: I would like to share my recent experience at this facility. My kid needed some crown work done back in July, 2023. At Consultation: They scheduled a consultation to check and explain the procedure needed to address the issue. We discussed the possible option to move forward with the procedure and was presented with an estimate of how much it is going to cost. While presenting this estimate the staff mentioned that my actual cost for the procedure could be higher/lower and they will need 48 hours to verify with my insurance company and provide me with the final number. Once agreed they can go ahead and perform the procedure. After 48hours - On Procedure Day 1 and 2: The complete procedure took place in 2 different appointments. Before each procedure, they present me another document with the final numbers of how much it will cost me. The staff presented with a good news that most of it is covered and here are the final numbers which has been verified by their team and my insurance. The procedure was completed successfully, and I paid the outstanding bill per their provided document before I left the facility. Few months Later: After few months (Oct/Nov/Dec), I received an outstanding bill of $594.50. This bill will not have any breakdown of any sort and the number used on the billing statement was out-of-service for your convenience. Now this is going to get very interesting. So, I called the office location and asked them, what is this bill about and why am I receiving this bill? As far as I recall, you verified everything with my insurance, and I cleared the payment on the day of procedure. Office failed to answer and had no details of how we are seeing this bill of $594.50. Later, my question was forwarded to their “Practice Manager”. Never heard back for ~2 weeks and called back again. Another email reminder was sent as a reminder. Never heard back again. So, called back to their office and another reminder was sent. Finally, got the call from their “Practice Manager”. I asked her why I was seeing this bill? Everything was verified by you with the insurance company. I asked, shouldn’t this be your responsibility if you have falsely presented incorrect information before the procedure? She had no good answer and had very low confidence in her words. She was not even sure if we were in-network or out-of-network. Conclusion: The numbers were not verified accurately with the insurance and falsely represented before procedure. Additionally, they failed to take responsibility for it and offered me a payment plan instead. In summary, 1. Procedure cost before verifying with insurance = $503.00 2. Procedure 1 + 2 cost after their team verifying with insurance = $103.00 3. Later total bill I must pay was $103.00 (paid on procedure date) + $594.50 (outstanding bill) = $697.50 Key Takeaways: 1. The numbers presented to you after 48-hours which their team verifies with the insurance, may not be accurate. So, don’t be surprised later. 2. If you receive the bills later with higher figures, they will fail to accept responsibility and will not honor the insurance verified estimate they showed before they perform procedure. 3. Every document they make you sign (even after if their teams verify with insurance) will have a little disclaimer at the bottom basically saying patient is responsible for any additional fees. So that they are off the hook and you are stuck with the bill. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. Hopefully, this will help you make a better decision in the future. Rest assured; my concern is not the bill itself but the way it was falsely presented.

Or maybe it was the tiny bottles of spring water and logo-imprinted napkins. Or the Chihuly-inspired sculpture of a tooth in the lobby. Regardless of the swag, you've got a bad feeling. This is going to be expensive. Somehow you're gonna end up paying for all of this. If any of this sounds vaguely familiar to or resonates with you, you're in luck: Carolina Orthodontics and Children's Dentistry is your new go-to. They've somehow cracked the code on affordability / fun / service.  Prepare yourself for an exceptionally pleasant and helpful reception staff. When was the last time checking in anywhere was pleasant?! :) Don't worry. It gets better. The assistant will entertain your kid, make them feel comfortable and relaxed, and won't inflict any subtle shame on anyone about cavities or flossing. Both dentists we've seen tuned into the special needs of each of our kids and maintained that sense of fun, comfort, and professionalism. Billing is transparent, fair, and quotes are given ahead of time. We've received phone calls from the dentist after hours to check up on how they're feeling after procedures, and I've always felt listened to and respected. We've got a child with some sensory/attention issues and healthcare experiences can be anxiety provoking for everyone. The entire team at Carolina Orthodontics and Children's Dentistry made us feel right at home and thoroughly impressed me and my kids. My kids *ask* when we are coming back to see the dentist here... That's worth every penny. Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: I'll preface by saying this review is only directed towards the intake staff, not the DMD. We were referred to COCD for my daughter to have a small filling procedure. When I called to make the appointment, I specifically said I was making an appointment for a filling, and I was referred to them by Triangle Family Dentistry, their sister company. Apparently, Triangle Family doesn't like treating children yet failed to mention that once in the past 6 years we have been going. 45 min into meeting with the hygienist/DMD at COCD, I was told I needed to come back to get the procedure done and that my appointment was only a consultation. I was under the impression we were having the procedure done the same day, and neither party mentioned I would need a consultation prior. It was never explained to me by either party that I would have to pay another dentist to tell me what I already knew. COCD also had not reviewed the referral prior to our appointment (however, I'm unsure if this was their shortcoming or Triangle Family's for not sending it over prior). This ultimately prolonged our consultation and annoyed me even more. I was very frustrated that my daughter had missed school and was going to miss yet another day in the near future for the actual procedure. I do understand that it is typical new patient protocol to have consultations, but the way it was explained to me did not make that clear. But I let it go, paid the $75 dollar fee for them to tell me what I already knew, and scheduled our next appointment for the filing. I then decided to move our 4 small children to COCD practice for future cleanings and out of Triangle Family dentistry. However, when I called to make the change, I was immediately told we were out of network with them! I was shocked! Why wasn't this mentioned before my last appointment for the filing!? This was never mentioned to me once when making my previous appointment or even when we came in for the consultation. I was also informed that because we are out of network, we could potentially incur higher costs for our previous visit and any new appointments going forward!! They admitted that they are SUPPOSED to inform new patients when they are out of network with insurance (which to me is common knowledge), but they failed to do so. Im so frustrated by both of these companies and their poor business practices and inexperienced staff. Im not surprised they are sister companies. They need to better train their staff. I'll end on a positive! The Dr was very professional, and I would certainly have moved our 4 small children to this practice if they were in network, and our experience was a more positive one. A shame all around!

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience every time we visit. I love how thorough Dr Jenna is and how she takes the time to listen and get to know the needs of the patients. She’s had some very helpful tips and tricks that I haven’t thought of before when it comes to ending thumb sucking in a non-invasive, non-threatening, but positive and helpful way. All positive experiences for us.

Experiencia fantástica: Our family is incredibly grateful for Dr. Lauren at Carolina Children’s Dentistry. She originally helped my son during an emergency visit (on a Saturday) and further treated him for a follow-up for a baby tooth extraction. We felt like family in her office and she was beyond amazing! Dr. Lauren truly cares for her patients and our experience with her was the best we could have ever asked for in a pediatric dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: We really appreciate all their attention, they treated my daughter very well, they were very kind and caring, from the moment we entered with the receptionist, the assistant, the hygienist, all provide excellent care. The doctor was constantly talking to my daughter which prevented her from feeling nervous, the treatment was quite painless. We highly recommend it.

Experiencia fantástica: This is by far the best pediatric dentistry in the Area. We had an amazing experience from the start. The receptionist had great patience when we called to set up the appointment. My daughter was able to be seen the next day. Both doctor and hygienist were very sweet and patient with my daughter. The office is clean and have books and toys to keep your little one busy while waiting. They also answered all the questions and concerns I had. We will definitely recommend this place.

Experiencia fantástica: On Saturday night, my son had a bad fall and ended up with damaged teeth. He had one front tooth pushed back and the other front tooth completely broken off. I picked it up and put it in a glass of milk in the fridge. I tried to find a dentist who would accept pediatric patients on a weekend but was unable. I called Carolina Orthodontics and Children’s Dentistry on Monday morning because of all the good reviews and I am So Thankful that I did! Dr Jenna and her staff were Fabulous!! They put my son at ease and answered all of our questions. They took the time to make sure that my son was comfortable and he did not have any pain. We left the office in under an hour with his smile back in place-and mine, too! The office for dentistry has moved into a brand new space downstairs and it was clean and fresh. The staff were all so sweet and helpful! I would Highly recommend them!

The Doctor and Hygienist were very kind and patient with my 3 year old. As well as the front desk were very welcoming. Definitely will continue to bring my child for her dental visits!

Experiencia negativa: I have five children and three of them are autistic they have sensory issues in the staff was very patient with them but when it comes to meeting any kind of treatment that requires my youngest to be sedated they cannot accommodate with different dates they give you one day and you're expected to be there I'm sorry I have five children I cannot accommodate one date that will affect my other children. I don't ever plan on going back to this company nor will I recommend this place to anybody especially those who have children with special needs because it doesn't seem like they even care to make sure that the appointment will work for families with special needs. So I'm not happy with this company and I don't appreciate the rude interaction I had with one of the staff that does the scheduling.

They told him what they were doing and showed him the different tools they used. They were so nice and easy with him. We love this place.
